**FRAUD ALERT** Had a attorney review the flyer they sent out everything looked legit and called to verify the terms and conditions of the flyer was told the same thing so went down and asked for "Tiffany" which is who I was told to speak with in accounting and was told it's a code word they use by the sales man. And the codes that they verified saying winner on the phone not even telling them the prize was no longer right. The thought of buying a car there is now gone when they gave us a 3000 voucher instead.

The sales experience was good. Rocky was great. Problem came after only *one month* the car required over $3,000 in repairs including brakes, struts etc. I called both Dan Pepper the Service Manager and Rocky the salesman and left 3 detailed messages asking how they might help me. Neither called back. So, I was forced to pay over $3,000 (!!) cash out of pocket only one month after buying a $20,000 car I was told was in great service shape. Bad customer service and bad car service preparation for sale. Never again New Wave.

New Wave Auto Sales sold me a truck without a jack or way to get the spare off the truck. They promised they would get me these things and I've been waiting since October. Still nothing. Also they told me if I put $1000 down they would extend the warranty 36 months and I did. But they haven't sent anything about the warranty to date. They are liars don't listen to them or trust them. I gave one star because I like the truck just not the company that sold it. Update 1/9/2019 - I have contacted them and they did not take my original calls and left me to voice mail. They had the service manager call me back but still I have nothing sent to me for the missing items. I still don't trust this company for the way they are doing business. Don't make my mistakes. Question why they don't tell you the total price of the vehicle when you ask and they just want to tell you what it will cost monthly. Question why they give you blank pieces of paper that they right some deal, like 36 months extended warranty, then they have you sign it like it's official. Without that paper I have nothing to prove they are liars. Take a picture with your phone camera of everything you sign when dealing with this company. Update 1/16/2019 - It took three months but I finally received the jack and spare tire kit by fed ex. After months of complaints they produced them. I feel like the 36 month extended warranty they said I would get if I put a $1000 deposit down is never going to happen. Again if they write something on a blank piece of paper and say you're getting this if you agree to a deal then don't believe it. They will not respond to that at all. Don't sign they didn't promise you anything until you know you are getting it.

In 2018 I was looking for a newer SUV. I stopped at New Wave Auto Sales in Clearwater on US 19 (now on Park Blvd) and found a good deal on a 2017 Nissan Rogue. As I had bought my last car there I already knew about the great service department and courteous sales team as I purchased a Hyundai Tuscon a few years ago and again I wasn't disappointed. Now that a year has passed I've had routine maintenance performed twice and as always the service is great. Looking for a car, New Wave is the place to shop. There is no pressure, EVERYONE is helpful & courteous, and the selection is great. Highly Recommended!

They have great specials, like their $15 diagnosis fee when everyone else wants to charge over $100, to their customer service, you can’t beat it. Bought a car here 2 years ago. This week my wife needed a car, and since we always shop around before buying we stopped at a few dealers/carmax/used car lots that were near us before making the hour drive out to new wave wave. Just like my experience 2 years ago here, new waves upfront and hagglefree prices were significantly better than anyone elses. Our best offer of the day before coming here was a 2017 Hyundai with 56k miles and a huge scratch on passenger side and 1 accident for $12,500 out the door and that was their 3rd and final offer. At new wave we ended up paying just a little more than that out the door, $12,900 for a 2018 Toyota with 42k miles no damage, no accidents and that was without having to haggle for an hour. It was a clear choice. Rob was the associate that helped us at new wave. And I purposely say associate not salesman, because we never at any point did we feel like we were being pressured to buy. Rob some how managed to leave us alone long enough that we could talk and look amoungst ourselves peacefully yet still come around and check on us often enough that we werent waiting or looking around for him of we had questions. Its as if he could just sense when we had a question and show up. After the how satisfied I was with the 2 cars I have bought here, I will no longer shop around for cars in the future. I will just be coming straight here!

If you go to this store ask for salesman Rocky!!! My wife and I went to the store to buy a car. At first we were treated very badly by a salesman named Bob, he forgot to prepare the car we ordered and after driving for 50 minutes we had to go home and return to the store the next day. As well as wasting time we spent $ 100 more on car rental and gasoline. The next day we returned to the store and were met by an excellent seller named Rocky, this is a real salesman!!!! It served us wonderfully, super attentive and patient. helped us pick good insurance and really got the bad impression Bob left. Thanks so much Rocky, we love our new dodge, you're the guy !!!

They tried a whole market game thing. Failed miserably the entire thing is rigged and not even worth the gas amount to get to the event. The your winning game piece says you won one amount and there game board says you won something different. I read and reread the fine print. It’s a fraud .. I wouldn’t want to do business with these shady individuals now or never because the marketing was shady. Smh. Do better.

I give credit where credit is due, and these guys stepped up. I purchased a beautiful car a couple of weeks ago and started having an issue with a front wheel bearing. I brought it in to let them inspect it, within a couple of days they had the part and promptly repaired it for me free of charge. I'll be back in about 6 to 8 weeks for an oil change, thanks Dan,thanks guys, good job! Just wanted to update this review as I had to go back for more service on my car... Thanks again Dan for going above and beyond and dealing with an issue that I had suspicions about but no one could locate. You went out of your way to get a second opinion to make me happy, and replace what you thought would be the problem, which it was! The noise or vibration I was hearing is totally gone now, I am extremely happy with your service! And your sales department for that matter, because they are always helpful as I may be looking for a second car for my daughter! Thanks again guys! You're the best!

They are crooks, sold me a car which I paid cash 13k. Later when I tried to sell it, found out that It had previously been in an accident which made the car only worth 9k. They didn't tell me it had been in an accident even when I asked for a car fax they said it was a one owner and they lied about that too. Don't believe a word they say, make sure you look at the car fax.

Not honest! They use typical car salesman tactics to try to throw you off balance, so they can take advantage of the situation. It is obvious from the first 5 min that they are manipulative; they blame their computers, their marketing companies, and/or act dumb to change a deal they offered. That is what I expect from a small car dealership, but seeing it at this car dealership confirmed that sticking to "no hassle, no haggle" places is the best way to do business!

This place is a SCAM! Just went in to claim prize. 'Yes, I knew it would be a scam but I did it as a lesson for my 8 year old who scratched the mailer and was thrilled to have won.' First I called to verify the winning. They confirmed I did win! Even said I just needed the flier with the mail code on it and my ID. No test drive or purchase necessary. Just come in and claim the prize. Congrats! My son who was present to hear the call insisted we go. So off we went to show our flier to 'Tiffany'. Turns out 'Tiffany' is just a code word. Also the winnings (if there are any) are paid out by their insurance company because no one is actually supposed to win more than a $2 lottery ticket. If by chance someone does win.... the dealer pays nothing ...their insurance company does. It was all explained to me by a company representative. They then try to sell you a car. Why on Earth would I purchase a car from a company who produced a SCAM just to get us in the door? This was a life lesson for my 8 year old. I hope he never forgets how he felt when he was 'scammed' and in turn grows to be a better person than the owners of New Wave Auto!

Definitely would not buy a car here. I sat down and nobody helped me for at least five minutes I was told that they could help me get a car with a down deposit or with out so I waited for almost 2 hours test drove a car me and my family loved the car they told me that the car was basically mine then when I come back the next day to come and collect the car and the gift card that they had promised on their advertisement they had told me that I would need to put 1500 down And then they had told me that I have been approved but without me dropping any money down they cannot help me which doesn’t make any sense the people are nice and generous but only to get a dollar out of you don’t let them play you into getting a car that you will be financing for ever it’s all a big scam.

We learned a lot about each other and that made us feel a real connection with him. We were patient with him if he had to ask questions to Bobby K, and that helped him feel comfortable with us as well. He let us come test drive our car anytime for however long we wanted. They really do a great job there. They worked long and hard with us on our financing options never getting annoyed or confused as we changed things. Bobby was also an amazing manager who was personable with us also. We never felt pressured to buy or come back by either of them. My wife and I purchased 2 vehicles from this dealership at a sales event in Brooksville, after getting a sales hook mailer - which was BS. The sales people even admit this. It is grossly "misleading" at best, so if you're going there to collect your 5k only - save your time. You'll get the typical "used car sales stereotype antics" here. The dealership is packaged a little different, that's all. It's got a big dealership footprint and probably was a Ford, etc dealership before. Bottom line is if you looking for a newer vehicle, in good shape with low miles - they DO have 'em here. Just get their price up front and don't be afraid to beat them up (negotiate). You can find yourself upside down the minute you pull off the lot if you let them dazzle you with a attractive MONTHLY PAYMENT offer only - if financing. Financing is how they make their $. As always....buyer beware. As far as the service department goes, if you have to deal with them for anything, don't expect too much. In terms of the level of technical service capabilities and the level of "special" personal attention you'll feel while there, both are minimal. This review may read as a very negative one but it really isn't for a used car dealership. I would actually recommend this dealership to anyone simply based on the apparent condition, age and mileage of their inventory. More than usual, you just need to be an educated consumer.

I truly wish car salesmen didn't live up to their cliched reputations. Everyone at New Wave was kind but they were definitely pushy and I felt overwhelmed. This was my first car purchase and I wasn't there to haggle. I just wanted a dependable car in my price range. I ended up getting a slightly more expensive car because, of course, that's the one they showed me. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with my car. If I didn't like it I wouldn't have committed but I definitely felt pushed around and like I had few other choices. The "manager" came by a few times to act like he was giving me a great deal and it was just so over the top. I'm here. I'm getting a car. Just use your normal human voice, please. Sales-Robot is not necessary today. I'll add that after I signed all my paperwork they had me take a picture with my new car, shook my hand, and said we were all done. The car was backed in to the parking spot so, after being handed the keys, I left. I get to my destination and notice that they didn't put my license plate on. I call back and the guy on the phone said "you took off so fast we couldn't put the plate on". No. You forgot to put my plate on. I didn't rush out of there. You told me everything was taken care of. Not a huge deal to turn around and bring the car back but please don't act like this was my fault. I drive the 20 mins back, they put my plate on. I leave again. I get a call about 30 minutes later saying I need to come back AGAIN because something was wrong with the paperwork. At this point, I'm really frustrated. I was in their office for over 3 hours getting the car and now I've had to come back TWICE to remedy mistakes that they've made. Apparently someone copied the VIN down wrong and so therefore my paperwork was all wrong and the insurance I just signed up for also needed to be fixed. These are all minor things overall but my car buying experience wasn't as pleasant as I would have liked but I guess no one walks out of a car dealership truly happy. Three stars. Would still likely recommend.

They send mailers to people that state you have won a specific prize such as $300 in my case. When you call the number listed on the mailer they say to go to their location to pick up your prize. When you show up they then tell you that it was all a mistake. They then try pressuring you into purchasing a car, which upon saying no they send you away with a scratch off ticket that has 30 boxes, you are only allowed to scratch 6 and all 6 must be gold bar or you get nothing but wasted time. Buyers beware, if this is their tactic to get you in the door one can only imagine the quality of the vehicles they send you off in...

I first walked through New Wave Auto Sales door for a job interview. That is where I not only gained a friend, but my own personal auto buying advisor. She taught me everything she could in the time I was there, and continued to teach me after I decided the auto motive industry wasn’t the perfect fit for me. The sales rep was very rude this was today about 2:30 pm . He offer her a 2007 dirty old car because she file Bankruptcy a while back. When she said no thanks!! He respond " well you have to buy your credit now" very rude and out of place. Stay away!! this is not the place you want to go to if you had a bad credit experience.

At first, I and my wife were very hesitant in dealing with new wave auto. We live 30 miles from this dealership, to begin with. We finally decided to give them a try and submitted an application online. We were immediately contacted by a customer service rep named Becky Shaum. I told her upfront I did not want to waste her time and neither did not want her to waste ours. We have had recently filed for bankruptcy and she told us they recently acquired a bank that solely deals with bankruptcies. I gave Becky my information and within 24 hours she said the finance manager needed basic information and also to come in to see vehicles. I again was skeptical however my wife and I drove 30 miles on a Friday with 3 small children and my in-laws. I asked for Becky and she immediately came out of her office with a warm smile and made us feel at home, I looked at my wife and nodded my head. Becky then had us sit with a sales rep named Judith. Judith immediately said let’s get you in a vehicle today again I thought to myself yeah okay lol. In 2 hours my wife and I were out the door with tags on a 2019 minivan. Judith and Becky were absolutely amazing and wonderful to deal with and made our experience with a new wave truly special. Our children were treated like family while we waited. I recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle even if you are in good credit standing or not they have a boatload of beautiful vehicles to choose from. I appreciated the speed and efficiency in which everything was handled, after a test drive we agreed on the price which was the same as the one advertised. They provided me temp plates and I took my baby back to NY without a problem. The Flyer they give you is just an excuse to waste your time at tent sales, they operate with All in Events and the guys that work on the computer under the Sales Tents are very rude!! The Cars are mainly scratched, dented, higher mileage and run about the same price as a new vehicle would, not a Mark down on price at all!!

I've been looking for a new car since my 06 Santa Fe got totaled and I finally stumbled across this place after trying a bunch of buy here pay here places and noticing how shady they were. The first thing I noticed was that it was actually a decent looking building and the people looked well put together. I was immediately greeted before I came in the door by a woman named AJ who helped me look at the car I wanted to see and asked me if there was anything else I wanted to look at. I was short on time, so I couldn't. I went back today and was helped by a man named Joe Moreno who took over as AJ was off. Fast and easy way to buy a car will do license plate and tag on site an good to go decent deal in and out in an hour. However there was some confusion trying to locate the car I was looking for. They said they have it but it was at the body shop getting touched up. Started doing paper work on it to find out they never had it to begin with. Asked another guy about touching up a little door ding. Turns out there isnt a body shop at all. One guy mentions gap insurance on the car. Go to financing I mentioned gap insurance and he looked at me like I was crazy saying there was no gap insurance.

My sister and I are in charge of my mom and dads finances,mom has dementia and dad on all kinds of meds for his heart and other aliments. Yesterday Dad decided he wanted a new car without telling us. They purchased the car and drove it home last night. Unfortunately they cannot afford a new car, but they got it and traded in my moms favorite car. After hearing about their purchase, I was shocked and then concerned,since they had no money to pay for a car payment. I contacted General Manager Mike Taylor, told him the situation, and he said just bring the car back and we will give your mom her car back! I was so surprised and shocked, I started to cry. This gentleman could had said tough, its sold, but no with grace he said tell them to being the car back and we will give them back their car. Dad also wrote a check to them, and Mike called accounting and told them to void the check and mail it back to them. Mike Taylor, We dont need a car right now, but we will go to you next time when ever we need a new car. Your graciousness and total understanding was such blessing., Again Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for understanding.
