I hate going to shop for new cars and dealing with service appointments. It's nothing against the industry, I just hate wasting several hours. I am leaving this 5 star review for Ferman Volvo because they've been a pleasure. I've had a few service issues come up and they've been awesome. No problems getting a loaner, good communication, friendly, and even will drop the car off to my office and pick up loaner when service is done. That's the way you keep a customer when they go to trade in. As I said, time is valuable to me. Fermen Volvo respects a customer's time by not wasting it. 5 stars

Judy in the service dept is probably the nicest person I've ever spoke to in Pinellas County. We purchased a car (Volvo) from them and always had superior customer service after the fact. They have always been friendly and very helpful every time we've been in or called. Which is very rare in the area. We would def purchase from them again and have our vehicle serviced and maintained there but we have moved. Even after we moved they have been helpful getting records over to the new Volvo dealer and advising us on the history and items maintenance on the vehicle. Highly impressed with the service!!!

After a very negative experience at the Clearwater Volvo dealership, I was totally over car shopping. I saw Ferman had a few XC90s with the packages and color combinations I was looking for, so I (hesitantly) made the trek up from South Tampa on SuperBowl Sunday. Alan helped us and showed us the cars we had come to see. Once we decided on the car we wanted, we had to wait until Monday to finalize the financial details as Chris the manager was out of the office and we had some unique questions/requests. This is an honest dealership - they were completely transparent and did not hide fees or upcharges. We hammered out the details with Chris on Monday morning and I took delivery of the car on Tuesday (they sent a driver to pick me up so I wouldn't be stuck with two cars up there). The paperwork process was relatively seamless (Chris wasn't there, which was difficult because he knew the number details we had worked out, but Jay at Chevy was very helpful on the financial side and it all worked out). I was in and out in 1.5 hours, including the time Alan took to explain the features on the car to me (he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful). Many positive things to say about this dealership - I would not hesitate to return.

Very disappointed, moved from New England so I have my Volvo service done here. Service department, no complaints. Was looking for a newer vehicle and was scammed by the numbers they presented me for trade in and purchase. The first offer I was given was it for them until I pressed and asked what else can you do. I presented them with the 30,000 for my trade in, wich was low. And 20,000 cash towards new vehicle and pay off my vehicle, so 50,000 I was giving them and they couldn't sell me a 45,900 car..my credit is excellent and the tax #'s they gave my reflected 8%. Outrageous! When I didn't make the deal they asked me what I wanted! I told them, better trade and less % on tac. They didn't budge. Poor business. Your response is for " me" to contact your manager, I would think if you would want my business you would of contacted me. Again, no effort made on your part.

Ferman Volvo service quality has diminished. I have been driving past the other Volvo dealership in town for 10 years because Ferman Volvo has always treated me the best. I have always looked past the small issues like, the multiple times detailing was not performed during service, or the many times the locking mechanism was replaced on my 05' S60. It always seemed they cared about providing a quality experience and doing the right thing. Unfortunately I have lost my patience, the last few visits have been less then satisfactory lacking quality control and customer service. After not solving an A/C problem on my 2014 S60 the service representative wouldn't give a follow up appointment for another week and this was after botching our first appointment by forgetting the loaner car reservation. The representative was defensive making me feel like it was my problem. This is unacceptable treatment and simply the last straw. I have been booking service at this dealership for 10 years I think I know the procedures. The other dealership booked in two days and when it was pointed out by that dealership that the A/C clutch was worn-out I had to leave this review. How does basic A/C repair get over looked if you know what your doing. No thanks to Ferman Volvo my S60 is repaired, blowing cool air, and has been nicely detailed.

An additional issue which could have develop into a problem was brought to my attention and fixed immediately. Dealership is very accommodating when scheduling appointments. My first contact for a repair did not go well. I called on 11-29-18 after a “suspension service required “ message came up. The service department said they wouldn’t have a loaner until 11-31. I could drop it off and pay enterprise for a rental. I asked if okay to drive and they said they wouldn’t know until they looked at it. Not a good impression of “service” so I went elsewhere and am done with Ferman

Been taking my XC90 to this location because I loved how they handle my maintenance in a timely fashion and have given me some good services until recently. I took my vehicle in for a simple Oil Change, my vehicle was driving perfect before they did the service. Shortly after getting it done,I heard an strange noise, didn't think much of it. Hours after to driving it around taking care of patients, my engine light came on and it began running rough. So i took it back to get checked and all these code that never arisen before popped up, raged at the fact that it wasn't brought in this way, and having feelings that my vehicle has been tampered with to cause an bigger issue. Never had problem with their services dept til the last couple days. My vehicle still isn't running the same, thinking about looking into legal matters. Happy customer turnt unhappy.

Ferman Volvo service dept isn't about service!! I called twice, 1st time at 9 am and was told a service tech would have to return my call. Called again at 3 pm couldn't get a live person on the phone. So I left a voice message requesting a service tech to return my call... I just called for the third time in 31 hrs asked for the service manager.. LOL got his voice mail. There is no way I will do business here.. I guess they forgot there is another Volvo Dealer in Clearwater.. See ya..

We have had problems getting in touch with anyone in the service department. You call and can only get voice mail and we have gone weeks and several messages without a call back. We are now the second time around with a simple oil change on a vehicle with 17,000 miles on it and the oil light is coming on because the oil level is low. Let me be clear this is the second time this has happened and I can only believe they are not putting the proper amount of oil in the car when the oil is changed. What good is the free maintenance offered by Volvo if the dealer can't or won't perform. I have previously written to Ferman's corporate office and received a "sorry your having a problem we will check into it" and never anything more. Now its time to let everyone know what to expect from the service department at Ferman Volvo.

This dealership is amazing! My husband and I are veterans, and we brought our 1991 Volvo 240 in to have a diagnostic run on it. There were a number of things needing to be serviced and fixed. Ferman quoted us a price with a military discount, paid for a rental for us to use since they had no available loaner cars, and they had everything ready when they said that they would. They even gave me an office space to use on the 1st day when they had to run our diagnostic. This dealership is beyond professional, because they are awsome very personable. They treat you with respect like you are family. I could not be happier! They definitely helped us in our time of need, and they didn't overcharge us.

I thought that was high and decided to wait until I could get a second quote or do it myself. Find out today that the rear pads are fine have plenty of wear left on them. The sales team is great. The service team...well not so much. The first time I brought my car in for service, I left with a check engine light on. I had to turn around on route 19 and head back. They kept the car for an additional day and when I picked it up the next day, bang, check engine light comes on AGAIN. I went back demanding an explanation as my car only had 10,000 miles at the time. Then I was told that a newer tech was working on the car and must have forgotten to reset the service light. Great. My second and LAST experience with Ferman Volvo's service came when I set up an appointment to have my car picked up at work. I received a confirmation call the day before for the car to be picked up between 7 and 8. I arrive at work at 6:45 (mind you, I don't start working until 8) to be sure I am here for the pickup. They never show. I then call the service department to find out when the car will be picked up. the service person (female) very snippily said they didn't have me on the schedule for a pickup and that I just need to drop the car off for service. I asked to speak to a manager and she refused stating he was out of town. I asked for a callback from the GM to discuss this and never received a call back. She then hung up on me. I will never go back there.
