Let me begin by saying this is our first and only negative review ever written for anyone. And for the record its a condensed version designed to help others avoid the same. 1) While shopping Autotrader online I found a truck of interest for sale at Dimmitt Chevrolet. The advertised price on the Dimmitt Chevrolet website matched the price offered on Autotrader. The following morning I was contacted by a representative from the dealership. While researching the trucks history I was advised it was purchased from an auction and that all of the aftermarket upgrades (tires, wheels, lift kit) were added by the previous owner. After satisfying all of my questions and concerns we elected to move forward and have the dealership provide us with an out the door purchase price. Soon we were shocked when the salesperson called to explain the final price was nearly $6000 more than the advertised price. He apologized for the confusion and explained the dealership not previous owner had added the upgraded tires, wheels and leveling kit and that they were not included in the advertised sales price. He said this was standard protocol not to include add ons to the price which unfortunately did make his job difficult when having to explain final pricing to potential customers. Our anger and frustration is from feeling mislead, the fact that their website displays a most prominent wholesale price and that no where will you find a sub-line including add ons nor the exorbitant dealer fee ($995.00 which is pure profit). We spent more than enough time on the process and let the salesperson know this deceptive practice was unacceptable and as a result we had changed our desire to do business with Dimmitt Chevrolet. 2) Since my original inquiry was the result of searching the online Autotrader, I had the pleasure of follow up texts and later a requested call from Todd the Digital Sales Director. Please do not waste your time speaking with him, his goal besides attempting to make himself feel superior is to convince you it's appropriate for his dealership to advertise a misleading or fake price. He also had the nerve to cast blame on the third party site (Autotrader) for the misunderstanding, which I found interesting since they matched the price found on the Dimmitt site. (It must be a nightmare having to handle all of the unhappy customers and missed opportunities) 3) This truly was our worse vehicle shopping experience. Our recommendation if you do decide to stop by this dealership would be to have your sales advisor disclose all miscellaneous charges that may be added to the final price. Wouldn't it be much easier for the dealership to simply post the true asking price?

This place is just awful. Took my mom's car in to be serviced. Problem with tire gauge monitor going off still not fixed after 2nd visit. Was quoted 2 grand for AC repair. Took car some where else for 2nd estimate, only to out that car had no freon in system ( which was paid to have refilled with diagnoses at Dimmitt ) car has been running fine since. When I called Dimmitt to about about the service, I was told that the car would break down again, guaranteed , because their mechanics and test equipment don't make mistakes.

Let me first start off by saying that I have had many experiences with different dealerships throughout owning a multitude of different cars and trucks. With that being said the service department at Dimmitt Chevrolet is top notch. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and were very accommodating. George and his team got my truck in right away and diagnosed it relatively quick. After having some major repairs done I’m 100 percent satisfied and will be a customer for life. If you have a GM product Dimmitt Chevrolet should be your top choice for service.

My 2018 GMC Canyon Diesel Denali was out of warranty by less than 700 miles when my battery failed within 18 months of in service date. They refused to address this obviously flawed battery with a GM rep or with AC Delco another GM company. If they won't stand behind an obviously flawed $200 part guess how much professionalism and care they will show when dealing with a real problem. This was my fourth GM vehicle. Likely my last. Good luck. Oh my replacement battery which is the OEM battery comes with a 36 month replacement warranty regardless of mileage.

Waited almost 3 hours for an oil change a few weeks ago. Then I had to return to get something else done and waited an hour while they processed paperwork. There is no sense of urgency at this dealership. UPDATE: I picked my car up yesterday morning before work after having a new starter put in. While at the dealership, at 7:45am, I was lectured by my service adviser for giving bad ratings on the survey and was told that if I "do not have a positive review to just not do the survey at all" - I was literally lectured by her for 5 minutes straight and made to feel like a small child who had disobeyed their parent. However, I was going to let it go and just plan on not going back to this dealership - until what happened last night. Now back track to my post above (from 2 days ago, while my car was at Dimmitt Chevy Service) and see how I mentioned the 3 hour oil change I recently had done there. Well, on my way home from work yesterday evening (while on the highway in the rain)...every drop of oil - all at once - suddenly emptied from my car and smoke was billowing out of it to the point where I could not even see where I was going; I ended up having to stop in the middle of the highway in rush hour traffic on slick roads. Needless to say, it would not run after this and I had to get it towed. This time, though, I had it towed to Ferman Chevrolet in Tarpon Springs and am waiting on the diagnosis (if my engine is toast or not). I could deal with being irritated about spending hours upon hours at this dealership and even being yelled at by the service adviser. However, I cannot be okay with my life being put in danger due to someones sub par service work and carelessness. I am going to be seeking legal advice regarding this matter as soon as possible.

ive been a customer at Dimmitt for 8 years, and have gotten my last two cars there. Ive always had the best experience and never went anywhere else. My adviser was Neil who is no longer there. I was very disappointing at my last two visits. The family atmosphere is no longer there like it use to be. Everyone used to be so kind and caring, it just seems like any other car shop. The newer lady at check out must hate her job, its hows all over her face.

September 29th, 2019 I purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado from Chris Nance. I want to take a moment to explain how awesome he truly was. I had called into Dimmitt with a couple questions regarding financing and more. I spoke to one person, whom I cannot recall their name at the moment. They told me they would have to give me a call back. I received a call back from Chris, whom retrieved the information I needed and returned my call in a timely manner. He was able to get us into the store within an hour of our initial call. When we arrived he was available the moment we walked in the door and remembered my name from the phone call. I brought my Fiancé and three children with me and he was very kind to all of us. He took the time to consider all of my needs, answered all of my questions, and pin-pointed the vehicles that fit my criteria. He was very patient with me as I walked through each of my options. Chris was extremely informative and confident in his knowledge of the vehicles. He was very fluent answering all of my questions and concerns. He was able to decipher between my needs and wants and found the vehicle that fit my financial abilities AND satisfy my ego. Once I had finalized my decision on a vehicle, the process was so smooth and quick. He listened when he needed information from me, I don't remember having to repeat myself once. Chris walked me through each step with ease. He was ahead of the game at every point. A complete 15/10 for Chris. After Chris finished with us, we met a gentlemen named Sal. Sal was also a great man to work with. He was able to save me a couple hundred dollars and did his job efficiently. He went over everything I needed to know and his customer service was above and beyond expectation. Thank you Chris and Sal for the great experience. Your kindness to me and my family is very appreciated, and will not be forgotten!

The Truck is great! Very happy with the price. When you are in the showroom everyone is very attentive. As with any dealer make sure all things/ promises are spelled out on paper before completing the deal as I misunderstood part of the sales process/ verbiage and Dimmit helped clarify and rectify the issue. I was having a difficult time with a different Chevrolet office. I called Dimmitt Chevrolet at 9am, they scheduled me in at 11 with Amy. Amy was AMAZING! She had the technicians immediately take my car back, diagnose it and gave me a loaner car (something the other Chevrolet office refused to do). When I left with the loaner, Amy kept me up to speed on what was going on with my car. There were several technical issues with my car and I received it back the very next day and it drove perfectly. I will be using Dimmitt Chevrolet from now on!

I initially went to Dimmitt in October 2018 to look at a truck. Although at the time I was not interesting in purchasing the truck, I kept Dimmitt in mind because of extremely professional and "non-aggressive" behavior shown by Egidio (one of the salesmen). At the end of May I was in need of a new car and finally found the perfect car. Even after bugging them for a week and four straight trips to the dealership Egidio and Danny treated me with the utmost respect and we were able to come to a deal on my 2012 Jaguar XFR. Also Travis the finance guy was very knowledgeable and helpful as far as helping me navigate financing a vehicle for the first time. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone I know.

The energy in the dealership was fun with music playing and smiles all around. Raheel did a great job representing Dimmitt. I feel fortunate that I got him to guide my purchase. I had an idea what I wanted but no particular model selected.. He did a great job explaining the different models and explaining the pro's and con's that met my needs. While we where on the lot, we found the one that spoke out to me. He took extra time explaining the minor details that made this model unique along with all the extra features that I would find value in. I couldn't believe all the technology that this ride has in it that will definitely benefit me, my work and comfort needs. After the test drive, the decision was final. The finance manager was awesome, I feel like he was definitely out for MY best interests.The add on Dimmitt warranty packages I felt had great value. I feel like this dealership will be there for my needs far long after my purchase. I cant wait to go back and express my gratitude. Nothing but great things to say about my shopping experience. I purchased an SUV at this location and everything went well untill I had to deal with the person Gerry on the financial department. He is the most unprofessional and unethical person you can deal with. He makes mistakes from lest to right and then keeps calling you even when I specifically ask him not to call me during working hours because I work with patients. He makes mistakes and then wants you to fix them for him. The banck send a letter with instructions for him to fix his mistakes and he keeps calling and texting to the point that I had to block his number from my phone I won't advise anyone to ever go to this place with so many dealer around don't waist your time with people so unprofessional. Plus this was not the first insident actually this is the 3er and final drop that make me do this.

Please don’t waste your time trying to purchase a car from Dimmit! Before I arrived to my appointment with Michael, I confirm that they were transparent with they pricing. I made sure that I wasn’t going to waste my time by asking some questions before I showed up. I asked if the price online I saw was the price with no hidden fees and if there was room to haggle on that price and Michael said “we can work on the price because that is what we do!” My wife and I arrived on time to our 6:45 appointment on 10/22/19 to find out that Michael lied to us just to get us in and find out that the used car price had a reconditioning fee of $1200. The sales person that they sent to help us, Gabe, let us know that Michael did that just to get us in. They also do that so the price is higher and closer to what a new car cost and you’ll think to yourself, well if that’s what a used car cost I’ll just buy the new one. Well in summary, they didn’t take our offer and they lied to us.

I am never one to write a bad review. However this dealership doesn't even deserve the one star. It was my first and my last time here. I called in to see if they could replace my key because I had lost mine. So they said yes I could that I could come get the key the next day. Well, i had my boyfriend bring me in his truck up to the dealership, I go in to get my key and they are confused and ask where the original key is. I said, "I don't have it, this is why I ordered a new key." He then says "didn't anyone explain this to you?" "Is your car here?" I said "no, my car is at home because I do not have a key to start my vehicle!". So they already misinformed me from the start! Now I have to get a towing company "AllWays Towing", to bring my car to this dealership. The towing company takes my car. Fast forward 4 hours later, I'm thinking "yes, my key is getting programmed everything is going to be good." I call them, they tell me they weren't sure where my car was, they didn't have an order for it. So he hangs up and says he will call me back. So, you're telling me this towing service was able to get all the way in the back of this huge dealer ship without any employees stopping him to register my car in the system and do the vehicle check. Poor security. He calls me back and tell me my right front passenger window is busted. So obviously I'm angry and confused. I go back with the sheriff's department so I could possibly get the video footage of him driving my car in to see if the car came in that way, so I could go after the towing company for damaging my window. But the manager here was a complete jerk and said he wasn't going to look at the tapes and it wasn't his problem! So now I have to pay 350 dollars go get a window replaced because these jerks here won't take a little time out of their day to help his clients and figure out what happened!!! I have contacted General Motors Corporate by telephone and I will be writing a letter every week until someone answers me!

I bought my camero there 2015, usually treated ok in the service dept., July 5th The service Adviser I wont mention any Names but She wasnt friendly nor Helpful in AnyWay. Guess her cell was to important. Wont go into detail but I had a simple service request.. Shame on you Dimitt. I can tell you this I also have a Chevy Cargo Van that is ready to be traded in for a newer model and I will make the effect to go see Maus Chevrolet for my New Van. See how something so simple can trickle down and screw you up ??? LESSON LEARN MR.DIMMITT.

I took 2 cars in to have the oil changed. We leased the cars from Dimmit so we just decided to stay with the dealership for all our needs. Even though we moved to Land O Lakes which is 45 minutes away without traffic. So they finished the first car and I asked if they were going to wash it. And he says we don't do that anymore without being asked. Well if I would have known to ask I would have. But the worse part was when I was checking and paying for both vehicles. First she separated the transactions. So when she tried to put the second one through the computer wouldn't accept payment cause it thought it was a duplicate. So then I had to use a credit card. And technically I now have to pay interest on it if I don't pay it off in time. But because of what was transpiring she actually said. My computer is acting "SPECIAL ED". Who says that? I was beside myself having a nephew with autism and my best friends daughter with autism. I had to just walk away. Cause I almost said something that I would have regretted. She needs to have a talking to about customer service. And what is NOT appropriate to say. Moving forward I will be taking our business elsewhere. $130 dollars is a lot of money to us. And I will spend it somewhere where there is respect for the customer.

I have been a Chevrolet owner for over 20 years and have always had my vehicles (Tahoe) 2002 & 2009 LTZ serviceed with the dealership. I received the best Service from Service advisor (Mr. Jamal & Mechanic technician (Derrick) I have ever had, with the care and information that they provided made me feel comfortable in completing the issues on the spot. Although it was a cost of concern, between the both mentioned, I had the work completed the same day (Because of these two Professionals). Thankx Fellas!!

Find a vehicle online. Have the conversations with Dylan, the sales rep. Get Dylan to do a walk around for me, verbally commit to a vehicle, do the website credit app, get approved as expected, schedule with the rep my drive down this morning to pick up the vehicle.. My THREE HOUR drive down. Notify Dylan last night I am coming this morning. Notify Dylan on my way out the door this morning. Notify Dylan an hour out from dealer.. 10 minutes from dealership, Dylan calls to alert me the vehicle has been sold.. Sold a couple hours earlier apparently. Now in the process of arranging delivery..... Gave me some story that company policy does not allow them to hold a vehicle because I might not choose to buy it. Basically stating, the loyalty of our customers mean nothing.. Yes, I get upset, only to have him ask me, "Why are you taking this personally?" Well I don't know Dylan... I took an entire day of my time to drive to his dealership, a hard credit inquiry on a particular vehicle I was committing to, a sales rep that took NO decency to confirm the vehicle was NO LONGER AVAILABLE, but was completely fine to confirm I was en-route?? You tell me.. I wouldn't give this dealer a dime..

I went to Dimmitt Chevrolet on Saturday August 10th I was wanting to finance a used camaro, didn’t expect nothing to happen that day because it was late Saturday and all the banks where closed, I already had an approval at another dealership (Maher Chevrolet) but Dimmitt had the car I wanted, long story short the guy I was working with has a serious lack of communication issue. Monday August 12th through Wednesday August 14th I reached out to him never once did he reach out to me, which updates on my finance application which was weird but I kinda let that go so I continued to text him and all he kept saying is we are waiting to here back from the banks, I have financed several cars and it doesn’t take three or four days for banks to decide. Anyway I got the other camaro on Thursday August 15th from the first dealer that approved me which was (Maher Chevrolet). Here it is August 17th a week later and I have yet to receive a phone call or text to let me know if the banks approved me or not. If I would have continued to wait around on this guy I would have lost out on the other camaro. Just terrible business, I will never shop there again.

Sara was a pleasure to deal with but what a waste of 2 days. I brought my car in 2 weeks ago for an alignment/rotation prior to a road trip. After coming home it needed an oil change, so I explicitly made an appointment for one. Well they charged me 60 dollars and since I had to leave I didn't really think anything of it. But later that night as I was looking at the car I noticed they rotated my tires AGAIN and didn't tell me, just charged me for it. Mind you, they not only put my BAD tires BACK up front mindlessly, but they failed to mention 2 nails in my tires that had been in there ALL 3 VISITS!! So I took it back in today to get it fixed again, and as I was finishing up with Sara (with the car waiting out front), apparently they moved my car again while we were talking and 3 different people were looking for it for 20 minutes as I was already going out of my way to be here for a mistake that literally shouldn't have been made had there been any sort of diligence. I'd rather take my car to a rinky dink mechanic any day than deal with this place again! Now I'm waiting on a check from them, but what if I had been an elderly customer that had no idea about cars? It's a shame such a big name runs things with such inefficiency

Not happy at all with the customer service and general first impression of this dealership. There are entirely too many auto dealers around to put up with this type of deceptive nonsense. First, internet ads list one price. Click on the ad and one gets a different (higher) price from the dealership website. Then click on the finance tab of their website and a completely different price comes up. Their website also has the following statements: “You May be Eligible to Save Even More! Ask us how“ and “Additional unadvertised private, conditional and affinity offers may also be available to eligible buyers. Not everyone will qualify. See dealer for details”. Upon visiting the dealership and asking about these available incentives, I am told there are no additional incentives and that the website does not indicate so. Then I am told all the incentives are already listed on the website and included in the price. So I ask “what’s the price of the truck?” Response, “It’s the internet price.” So I ask again, “What’s the price of the truck with all my incentives?” Response, “That’s the internet price plus dealer fee, taxes, etc.” Me: “Don’t you have a military discount?” “Yes.” “How much is it?” “Depends on the vehicle.” “What is the discount on the truck we are talking about?” “We can reduce the dealer fee to $75.” “Hmm, I thought there were no other incentives available to me.” “Any other incentives I’m eligible for or do I have to know what they are and ask about them in order to receive them?” “We have Pure Pricing listed on the internet, and that is what you pay?” I don’t know…maybe I was just not clear enough that I wanted to know how much the total cost of the truck in question was going to cost me with taxes, fees, available incentives, etc. Is it too much to ask to see a breakdown of the costs, with available incentives, that I can see for myself whether I qualify or not? Bottom-line, too much smoke and mirrors. Dimmitt Chevrolet was not successful in gaining my trust or business.

Updated: after a lot of back and forth, Amy in service was able to escalate and resolve a large portion of the issue and after talking to Finance/GM it was discovered that the most expensive issue wasn’t “under warranty” because the part itself is covered under the factory warranty for 100k miles. It seems like no one was aware of it, which makes me wonder how many people have spent hundreds of dollars by just going with that they are told vs actually getting to the bottom of it. So while I do give them 2 more stars, they are SOLELY because these two people truly took the time to actually attempt to dig deeper and created a better customer experience. Hopefully this makes for a smoother experience for the next customer with this issue. Original review: The worst car buying and service experience I’ve ever had! Now I know why I always chose Toyota! We’ve had the car less than a month, took it in for several issues (NON-aesthetic)that showed up. Not only do they refuse to cover them under the “bumper to bumper” warranty- they want to charge over $600 for them AND want us to pay $135 JUST BECAUSE THEY LOOKED AT THE ISSUES.

All good with salesman on the floor. However, when it comes time to st down and discuss the financial part look out. I was a little naive because of a first time new truck buyer. They sensed it. I am a combat wounded veteran, and was able to put a large down payment down. Had good credit, but the still locked me in at a 9% rate. They don’t care who you are. Walk out and go to Maher!!! Much better deals!! DO NOT FINANCE WITH GM FINANCIAL!! You will have to jump through many hoops in order to refinance! Also, I have taken my brand new truck in for my complimentary services... each of the two times I took it in, I found there to be debts from other car doors on my doors... CARLESS!!! I even visually inspected the exterior the second time, filmed it for documenting purposes, and sure enough, another dent!!!

The service department was definitely not what I expected from the treatment I received when I purchased the vehicle. I was told that I would receive 2 oil changes with the purchase of my car but it had to be done there at this location. I didn't like the idea of that because I live over an hour away. But today I drove there to have it done and was told I could make an appointment because I didn't have one and he would send someone out to do it. No one ever came out so I tried making one myself online it gave me an appointment time but couldn't confirm it because it didn't recognize my email address so when the the guy Rueben came back out he said that was an IT issue and still refused to honor the appointment time give to me online. He was not polite and didn't want to get anyone for me to talk to in that department so I had to go in to the sales department and speak to someone that could go to the service department. By now I had been waiting a little over an hour. I would never have drove that far if I knew this would happen I drove past multiple Chevrolet dealerships to go there. And because the information about the oil change was told to me wrong and that I could have went to any Chevrolet dealership for this service I could have saved my time gas and miles on my car plus my sanity. The time I spent t writing this review I got my oil changed at Stingray in Plant City and the were professional and friendly as always.

I came in at 42,000 miles to have my engine air filter, cabin air filter and oil changed. I got a call from Mo saying that according to the maintenance schedule I was due to have my transmission and cooling system flushed and filled. I decline the service (Transmission service is due at 156,000 miles and cooling system is due at 240,000 miles). He later called and said my brakes needed to be bled because there was air in the lines. Since I have had no problems with braking, I again declined. When I came to pickup my car, Mo was unavailable and another attendant helped me. He said there was water in the brake lines not air. Then when i reviewed my invoice, I found a $75 undefined charge. I was told that it was part of the oil change, but the oil change was listed at ~$70 already. This dealership thought they had an ignorant customer they could swindle out of *a lot* of money. I will not be going back there ad will strongly advise my friends and acquaintances to steer clear of all Dimmitt properties.

To be honest I really didn't think they could do the deal, but they went over and above the call of duty! I was a challenge and told them so up front, they were honest and never once blew smoke just to make me feel good. The hurtles we had both the salesmen stepped up and worked for me. Many thanks to the lady in the finance department who was a salesperson to the lenders and got my deal approved, with GM at that! I have never purchased the "Mac Daddy" of any brand new vehicle, and I have purchased no less than 7 brand new vehicles. This one was sitting on the showroom floor and they had to drive it out for me to test drive it. My other half and I liked the way it drove and was very comfortable in it. The sales manager that did the deal was up front and very honest, actually it was refreshing that he was that honest. I have dealt with many a car salesperson and have been strung along and told many things that were not true. That didn't happen here with anyone, from the salesperson, sales manager, finance, and even parts department (had to get an accessory). I am not one to post reviews, but Dimmit's service center just lost my business. The floor board on the passenger side of my car became soaked. I thought the a/c drain was clogged. Called for an estimate, about $400. No thanks. Took my car to a fleet manager, pulled apart the panelling to look at the drain, only to discover the hose had been pulled off from the drain. That hose does not magically come loose. No one has looked at my car since except Dimmit when I brought it in to have tires put on. That is disgustingly shady to do to someone. Now I have mold and and water damage that *I* now have to deal with. Shame on you for your dirty business tactics of bringing back repeat customers. So long Dimmit!
