I always have a really pleasant time here. Staff are kind and explain everything, and I've looked around at diagnosis prices at private places, and they're always higher than Martin Honda. So, unless you know a guy, I'd say your best bet is Martin. However, do things like change your air filter at home, that's gonna be a rip-off no matter where you go.

Best Place to Buy a Car!!!! We are repeat customers. Sales and service is top notch. My very favorite person to deal with has always been Larry Murray, he can get the job done no matter which hat he is wearing that day! I brought my brother in, who was having a little trouble getting a car due to a series of bad breaks. Martin Honda was able to put him in a brand new car! That was four years ago and he still loves his car and is grateful to sales team that put him in it. He plans to buy his next car from Martin as well.

I’m so disappointed about this dealer service. No spare tires/parts available to provide, And they even reject to tow in the car to their shop without tires and wheels. I’m felling ashamed you to treat a disabled car in this way. Actually I just got this brand new 2018Honda Accord Sport sedan six months ago from your shop. Now you said “ We will keep the car where it is for now until the parts ordered and go from there”. Not mentioned orders were placed or not, how long will it take to ship those parts. Just Leave it on the street where tires/wheels were stolen!!! Well, bad things happened again. The window smashed by someone. “The car shouldn’t leave it here anymore. “ Said by policemen , called my insurance, Towing, after their corporation, The cars was dropped at Firestone parking lot eventually. BTW, Martin’s towing partner “Midway Towing” rejected to tow the car. They don’t even come actually, just made a phone call. We cant do that after talked to Martin!!! Thanks B&F Towing, Firestone.

We landed at Martin Honda due to unexpected car trouble on 95-South during our trek from South Jersey to Alexandria, VA. Fortunately, Kyle's assistance with getting my car repaired and safe to drive again made a bad situation much easier to swallow. He was professional, courteous, and made every effort to keep me in loop on the status of the repair. He even went above and beyond in helping to work with my insurance company regarding coverage and faster timelines. The cherry on top was his willingness to help provide complimentary transportation once I was able to get back to the Newark area, saving myself and my mom a lot of travel and headache. If it weren't for Kyle's exceptional customer service and knowledge, this unexpected situation could have been much, much worse. Can't thank them enough!

TL; DRers — Martin Honda has a great team! I’m glad I bought my new Honda from them. I’d never been to Martin before, and knew it only from their “Martin Delivers” advertising. But my research for a new hybrid took me to there, where I was able to run back and forth across Cleveland Avenue as I compared two different brands. From the start, the staff at both Martin Kia and Martin Honda were fantastic. Professional, respectful, and helpful. (I ended up choosing a Honda Insight, which I’m loving so far, in no small part because I’m still on my first tank of gas, and scoring more than 45 MPG.) David Eno, the salesperson with whom I worked, was informative, gracious, and just plain nice. Go see him. Everyone else — who coordinated the appraisal of my trade-in (thank you), new insurance, financing details, a tech tour of my new car — was just as accommodating and kind. It’d been years since I last bought a car, so I’d forgotten what a drawn-out process it can be, but these folks made it as swift and as pleasant as it could be. One highlight: Dave handed over the keys for my test drive and suggested a great route to take in order to test the hybrid on hills and turns. (Cross-posted on more than one review site. I’m happy to say it more than once.)

They make a lot of promises during the sales pitch, but they don't want to give you anything for your trade and will try to guilt you into a deal you can't afford after you have been there hours waiting on them to come through with their hype. I have had 3 Hondas. Only get them serviced here. To this day, I don’t know why. Probably due to convenience. Every time I come in, they hesitate to help me. The older, senior guys are rude. One of them even rushed me when I was speaking to him as if I was taking up his time. I was explaining where my car was parked so he could check the miles. They tolerate people, so must be some bias in that office. If you want to be treated like a human being, don’t come here. I haven’t had any issues with my service, other than them forgetting to put an air cap on one of my tires and the tire light came on. I have a baby face and I am a young, successful black man. I generally have problems with people judging me and this is one of those places they judge me at. Might need some younger staff in there speaking to customers.

It's cheaper to go elsewhere for basic oil change. Unless your oil is made from gold! You guys have changed I used to like it a lot. But I'm over it after ya'll took my coupons that i used to receive away and no one seems to know how to fix it but the service guy was the same guy who deleted me out the system. How lame! My boyfriend and I are usually not looking forward to dealing with the car business and are very anxious about the process. We had a meeting schedule with Jim Blaszkow. Jim made the process as easy as possible for us. We didn't feel like we were trying to be scammed or taken advantage of. We 100% believe Martin Honda gave us the best deal possible. We originally went looking for a basic CR-V and Jim told us that for the same price we could get a CR-V EX. Nov. 2018 - Almost 1 year to the day of my last purchase (see review from Nov. 2017 below), I purchased another car from Martin Honda. This time my salesperson was Jack Stewart. There are only 2 words to describe Jack - PROFESSIONAL and SUPERB. Jack worked with me very carefully to choose between 2 different choices (Honda Insight or Honda Civic Sport) and was very patient as I mulled over the decision over a couple of weeks. He never pressured me to make a decision (I chose the Civic) and when it came time to negotiate a price, it was unbelievably easy. I thought last year's negotiations were easy but this year was light years better. Jack is simply the best. If you are in the market for a new Honda, don't waste your time at other dealers - go to Martin and ask for Jack Stewart. You won't be sorry! ----------------------------------------------------------------- Nov. 2017 - We purchased a 2018 Honda Fit from Martin Honda at the end of November. Our salesman was Spencer O'Brien and he did an excellent job. Negotiating price for a new car is one of the most unpleasant experiences most people ever go through; Spencer and the management team at Martin Honda handled the process professionally. The buying experience was actually NOT unpleasant - LOL. Seriously it was very good - Spencer was GREAT. We got a pretty good deal which is always a positive. So far we love the car and expect that we will enjoy it for many years. If you are shopping for a Honda go to Martin and ask for Spencer.

I bring my friend to this dealership bought a brand new accord about a half year ago. Just happened this week, the cars sport wheel was stolen when parking in the street. We call the tow truck and tow the car to this dealership trying to get some new wheels and fix the broken window thief . The dealer refuse to take the car and told us that we need keep the car right on the street where the wheel got stolen in the first place and wait 1 or possible 2 weeks to wait ordered new wheels to arrive. Really? Martin? We are your customer. It make me feel shame that I bought my friend in. I know you have right to reject a car service for all you can think safety reason but really? The Firestone next door took our car and able to accept the car to park in their parking lot and waiting for the new wheels to arrive instead of waiting 2 weeks and got our windows broke in again....

Never ever go to Martin dealership in Delaware for your car service. I did regular maintenance from them and now I am facing slow acceleration problem of my car after service. When I called them they are not ready to accept that after their service the car performance gone down. They are telling me to bring the car show them the problem and they will diagonise. It's a ridiculous long process at Martin dealership. I'm still here @9:46 and still can't get my brand new cars out. We told them we would be there @7:30pm since we were there yesterday and couldn't get anything done because of waiting for financial approval which were fine for us. We were thought we just got here to sign all paperwork but they didn't prepare anything until we got there at 7:30pm. All they said was they were short hand today. It's just ridiculous. At least they should have told us it would be a long process and just let us know when all paperwork would be available then we just need to stop by to sign them. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. We need the cars too bad because both were broken otherwise we'd go to Maryland or somewhere not in Delaware to get the cars. And please do your research before going buy cars here, you could got better deal somewhere else but here. Again we need cars too bad otherwise I wouldn't purchase car here.

I am writing to tell you about the fantastic service I received from Robert Smith at Martin Honda Collision Center in Newark DE. About 3 years ago I was rear-ended and I took my Honda Fit into Martin Honda to have repairs done to the back end, including the rear hatch door. A few months after the repairs were completed I had trouble opening the door -- the lock wouldn't work and I couldn't get into the car using that door. Robert had the service technician take another look, and they figured out the problem and fixed it. This happened again about 6-8 months later, and then two more times. Each time Robert got my car right into service, fixed the problem and had me out again within an hour. This happened again this summer, and I was unable to use my rear door for almost 3 months because I was unable to bring my car in during the hours Martin Honda is open. This time Robert got the door fixed, and also ordered a replacement latch. The part was received in 2 days, and it took less than an hour to replace. Robert has always treated me with courtesy, and given me prompt service. He has never charged me again to look at this problem, even though it's been several years. I appreciate his dedication to doing his job well and taking care of his customers! I've been so grateful that he is has been working at Honda all this time and knows me, and this ongoing problem. I hate to think what would have happened if I had to explain all this to someone new and how expensive it might have been to fix this problem if the service manager didn't know the history and wasn't willing to work with me. However, Robert might be the best thing about Martin Honda Collision. I tried calling the number that shows up on their website to get his supervisors name so I could send this as an email and it's the wrong phone number. Then I did the online chat and the person I was chatting with gave me a name and email of Robert's boss -- but it was someone who owns a dealership in NJ and has never heard of Robert. She also promised that someone would be in touch with me directly -- and never heard from anyone. Anyway if you have a reason to use this place make sure you deal only with Robert Smith!

I told them it would blow cold for 5 minutes, and then gradually get warmer. After several hours, they called and said it was a bad A/C relay. They could replace it, refill the system for $270. I get the car home and it is still doing the exact same thing. I took it back the next day. They had the "tech" who did the work look at it again. This time he says it is the coil, clutch, compressor that is bad, that they were working fine yesterday. The service manager is on vacation, Kia service manager says it is an unfortunate coincidence that it just happened to go bad in those 18 hours when I didn't even drive the car! I was feeling cheated and abused. I got my money back but will never know if this is/was the original problem or something they did. I got a very bad feeling. At best, they have incompetent tech working there. Never again.

I was across the street, Chrysler Jeep Dodge, my parents just literally bought a car from them, right off the showroom floor. I went there told them my price range, and told them what I was looking for. They couldn't help me. I went right across the street to this place. Tracy helped me. Came across a problem, they dropped the price on the car I was purchasing, and I drove away with it. Never ever go to Martin Honda, They are cheaters. They send me coupon for Honda service and I took my car for service to Honda on Saturday. The coupon was for $100 for Car breaks and pads. When I reached there and drop my car for services one guy from honda service called me and told me that Honda will charge $950 for just car brakes. I said but I have coupon for $100 so long story on short all honda coupons are trap they just want to cheat their customers. Just avoid this place. And you know they charged me $37 for just inspection. Very bad place for car service. Ignore these guys.

I've been transferred back and forth from the services dept. to the parts dept. and nobody knows anything! Now they're checking with sales to see if it's covered. If you buy a car here make sure everything works before you drive it off the lot because you're pretty much on your own after that...

Service center reception is unprofessional, disingenuous, and appointment times are not honored. It took a week to get an appointment to have my Honda that I bought at this dealership serviced. I was told that if I dropped it off the night before, that I would have the 0700 appointment the next day. Five hours later, when I called to check status, I was told, “HUN it probably hasn’t even made it into the shop yet”, and not to expect to hear anything until at least 5pm. I’ve bought 4 cars from Martin over the years. Never again.

I purchased a 2016 Subaru forester from Martin Honda. I flew in 2000 miles to pick up the car. Dave the manager there sent one of his drivers to Philadelphia airport his name was Jonathan and they picked me up and drove me back to the dealership. The car was in excellent shape and the financing was done very quickly. Tracy the sales person in charge of getting me my vehicle was very professional. I have never ever been to a dealership that was this low pressure and who truly cared about giving me an excellent product. The mechanical work I’ve had done here has been fine. My reason for two stars is their customer service and some of their pricing. They are very pushy about getting additional work done, In person and even calling my cell phone multiple times to pressure me into it. I’m not sure if this is because I am a younger female or if this is a typical experience. Some of the prices for their work is on par with other local shops, but some items are priced extremely high. Also, they regularly send me $19.99 coupons for oil changes in the mail, but on my most recent visit would not honor the coupon and wanted me to pay $38. Overall, their customer service employees make me uncomfortable even if their mechanical work has been acceptable.

Express service is available i.e Oil change, Tire repairs., 10 point service/safety check is perform all fluids are top off. Saturday appointment only., Monday through Friday free shuttle is available. Never had to return for incomplete service.

I bought my 2006 Civic at Price Honda in Dover and for awhile, took it for service there. But, I quickly tired of the 100 mile round trip. I then tried another Honda dealer closer to home, but had mixed results there. I then decided to give Martin a try for my most recent preventative maintenance service a week ago. I was *very* satisfied. The only down side was I had an 8:00 AM appointment on Monday, Jan. 21, and they were unable to get to my car all day. They needed to make this a 2-day affair. However, they provided me a late model loaner car, free-of-charge. The actual service performed on my car was top-notch and thorough. The service coordinators that I interacted with were very responsive and provided great information during the whole process. I HIGHLY recommend Martin if you are in northern Delaware and need service for your Honda vehicle.
