My experience was the best I've ever had when shopping for a vehicle. Melissa was simply awesome- I couldn't have asked for a better salesperson. She was very understanding and listened to what I wanted. She didn't try to sway my opinion towards something else, and treated me with respect. Yikes, while reading these reviews I couldn't help but think they were coerced or even fabricated. I was hoping to be a repeat customer but this dealership really dropped the ball. I guess service has changed in the past years. I do not have strong credit and was in need of a vehicle so I contacted this dealership about a vehicle I saw on their site. I received an email from them asking me when I could come in, I explained that I wanted to first ensure I could be approved prior to coming in. I received more persistence for me to come in. I explained, again, that I did not want to waste my time or theirs if I wont even get approval for financing but provided my personal information for a pre-approval. Super long story short, these guys ran my credit and never contacted me, even though their "sales manager" stated he would contact me. When I contacted the dealership to follow up they gave the run around and made it seem like THEM not contacting me was my fault....? When I asked them if they treated all their customers this way or just the ones with bad credit, the response was "we will have the sales manager contact you". Unapologetic, really terrible customer service and even worse business etiquette. A note for Kia of Wilmington: I copied the entire conversation so please do not respond to this review with an attempt to lie or I will post it in its entirety.

We had our air bag light on and had gone to another Kia dealership. They said, "You need an appointment and more time." I called the Wilmington Kia and immediately they immediately recognized the safety need of having the airbag light checked. No appointment. No wait. Awesome service!

Unfortunately, my family had the WORST experience at this dealership. My parents set out to buy a car for my niece and the experience turned into a complete nightmare. They traveled over two hours to purchase a car and were treated like second class citizens! Jim DiMatteo and staff were very unprofessional, re-negged on an oral agreement, shady and very rude. Needless to say, no car will ever be purchased at this dealership. The owner and KIA should be embarrassed about how operations are being run here! So disappointed.

I had a wonderful experience at the Wilmington Kia Dealership. The manager Tony treated me like family and referred my to a gracious and kind salesperson " Mr. Drew". Mr. Drew was informative, patient, and had a million dollar smile even under pressure. My situation was a bit complicated but he still treated me like he was selling a Kia Soul to his grandmother which says volumes about his character. The icing on the cake was the fiance manger David who sealed the deal and mad me laugh. I would highly recommend this dealership to my friends and family and would hope that others would consider purchasing here.

I walked into the dealership, pretty sure that they weren't going to be able to give me the kind of deal that I was looking for. My old car had recently died, and I was now searching for options to replace it, although I was in no rush. Larry Price listened to my requests of affordability, and space for my grandchildren and youngest child. Sales and Finance Manager over promised and under delivered. First, my lease is up in a than a month and I have received no communication from this dealership. Second, when I was signing my lease paperwork the finance manager, Tony/Anthony stated that the $400 return fee included them (this dealership) coming to pick up the car even if I left it on the side of the road! Confirmed today that this was a lie! Third, when I do the online chat, the client services rep cannot offer help, guidance, or answer questions. What is the purpose of this role? It is a useless expense that customers are paying for. As a result, I had to ask Al to have the sales rep Larry email me. What does Larry do? Call me. Not once, but twice! After the third online chat, it clicked in Larry's head to email me the answers to my questions. Lastly, when I signed the lease paperwork I specifically said I wanted to use my plate (it is a Pennsylvania thing) from the car I was getting rid of. Guess what? I had to pay for another license plate because Tony/Anthony and this dealership have NO CLUE how to deal with out of state sales. Basically avoid this dealership! It is not worth the drive, the grief, or the aggravation! Look at the response to the bad review below me. Apparently from the owners but don't worry they passed the issue along to their superiors. Who is if you are the owners? 8-13-2019 - Alex, this has not been fixed. Larry and Al have my email address should the owner wish to contact me to correct this issue. Larry also requested that I reach out to Tony because "He would really like to discuss this with you." Again Tony could obtain my email address from Larry. If your dealership wants to fix this issue, they could.

My first time in the dealership was the day after I had been in an accident that totalled my old car. Drew Aaron was friendly, understanding, and incredibly helpful. This was my first stop and I looked at a couple other cars before I came back, but I knew I was coming back to buy my car from Drew. After we signed the paperwork, Drew Baker (another Drew, just to make things confusing) came over and showed us everything we needed to know about the infotainment system. That helped a lot as it does so much more than my old car! A wonderful experience and an excellent car. I would highly recommend them.

Don't get your tires installed at Kia, they'll sell you a bogus tire warranty and tell you to contact the tire manufacturer. We bought 60,000 mile warranty tires, only put 25,000 miles on them, one is completely bald, and Dealership claims no responsibility. I have never had an issue when someone installs tires that doesn't back their warranty. Kia will never get my business again, and I'm very happy to spread the word.

I would give ZERO stars, but it is not an option. I am HUMILIATED. I got a notification on my CreditKarma app that Kia of Wilmington ran my credit report 15 times in the past three days. I cannot believe they would do that. I understand that they were "working" on getting me a vehicle, but I fully believe that I should have been brought into the conversation. I would have NEVER agreed to that. This was my FIRST experience buying a vehicle, and I was not educated on this procedure. Needless to say I will never work with Kia of Wilmington again. I plan to share this experience with every person I know. This has been the absolute worst experience of my life.

I went into the dealership with my son and daughter-in-law before dinner out together as their car had been stolen and they needed to replace it. Almost two weeks from date of car stolen, they had decided what car they wanted, Kia Niro PHEV, but then their car was recovered & cleaned up so no further need of a car for them. But having watched them and the dealership staff, I became interested in the Kia Niro for myself. Being a Prius owner had spoiled me on MPG and I wanted to step up to the Plug-in. I did research the Prius Prime since I loved my Prius, but it would only seat 4 and I didn't want to give up a passenger seat for the Plug-in option. Drew was very approachable, warm & friendly, yet maintained a professional posture at every step of the way. The hardest part of getting a new Kia Niro PHEV LX was waiting for it to be shipped over. But it did arrive when Drew had advised and closing on it was painless. I recommend Drew and this dealership without reservation.

And he made it happened he got me in a brand new car when I was only looking for a used one. I got one better with Gap and brand new warranty. He helped me set up features and explained the features that the car has to offer. After originally setting up a time to come check out the vehicle salesman Joe Hiester let me know that someone else had it out on a 24 hour test drive saving me a 45 minute drive from work to the dealership, which I appreciated. The next day, after the vehicle was returned, Joe did get in touch with me and let me know it was returned. The experience at the dealership was good, even though I was buying a used vehicle, and Joe was able to work out a good deal for me on truck I purchased.

Angie contacted me almost immediately when I first inquired about a car on Friday, I told her I actually wasn't 100% on what I was looking for and that I was just starting the process. There was absolutely no pressure at all to get me in there, but plenty of information given to me so I knew when they were available and who to contact when I was ready. I let her know my boyfriend and I would be buying the car together but he works Saturday's and that I would check with him about coming in on Monday. I had contacted a couple dealerships and all wanted me come check the cars out on Saturday, so to get a head start I decided to go with my mom to help me narrow down some final options to go back to with my boyfriend. On Saturday morning, I received a text from Jason Glover at Kia letting me know he would be working with me when I was ready and that he just wanted to give me his cell number if I had any questions before i came in on Monday. I let him know that I wasn't positive but that I might try to stop by that day. His response was simple "not a problem I'll be here, and I'll get the car ready for you just in case you stop by" Again, no pressure, just there for me when I was ready. I went to the first dealership I had scheduled, and I told the salesmen what I was looking for, and I was just trying to narrow my choices down for us to come back. He said my budget didn't matter and just kept trying to show me cars on the showroom way beyond my price point. His supervisor told him right in front of me do whatever it takes to get me in a car that day. They knew I wasn't looking to buy, especially without my boyfriend, and continued to push a sale regardless. I decided after I left to just swing by Kia of Wilmington to see what they had. As soon as I got there I met Angie in person--just as friendly and sincere as our first phone interaction. She was so excited I decided to swing by and immediately got Jason for me. Jason's first question was what I was looking for and if I had anything in mind. I explained my same situation as to the other dealers and he said let's see what we can do to help you decide. While he went to get the car i was originally interested in I was looking at their other certified cars available and found one I instantly loved but didn't see on their website before. When he came back to say unfortunately the car i liked had been sold I knew it was a sign and asked to see the Kia Optima. He took me to it, answered every single question, and gave me every bit of information I was looking for. I told him i honestly didn't know much about kias and wasn't even thinking of Kia as an option until I got there. When we were done he said now go home to your boyfriend, talk things over, do your research and figure out what's best for you. I'm confident that'll you find this car is the better choice for you but want you to feel the same. Jason was available the rest of the weekend when I was texting him; and he was right, after hours and hours of researching ratings and reviews and other options, i kept coming back to how much I loved that Kia. Before the weekend was over we were decided--we loved the car and it was the one for us. Throughout the day Monday I worked with Jason through text, email, and phone, to get all the paperwork and documents needed. Monday night chris and I showed up and we're honestly treated like family. Between Angie and Jason, they honestly were the biggest role in our final decision. Jason took care of us and got us everything we were looking for. He made our first car buying experience one to remember and lifelong customers. I couldn't be happier to be a Kia owner and am proud to be a customer of Kia of Wilmington. Thank you Jason and Angie! I was visiting from out of town a couple of days ago, and on my drive down the NJ turnpike, I lost one of the bolts securing my front passenger brake caliper. I was very stressed and anxious and worried about how long everything would take to get fixed since I was only scheduled to be there a couple of days. When I called Thursday morning to see if there was ANY chance I could have my car towed to Kia of Wilmington- and more specifically if there was ANY chance they could fit me in to take a look at it the same or even the next day, Kimberly in the service department very graciously said sure, it was no problem - they could take a look today, and she gave me the location to tow it to. Jeremy and the other guys at the shop itself were also very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. And Kimberly continued to be so helpful. The whole thing was done and taken care of in a few hours- including rebalancing the wheel, and double checking all my other brake mounts- etc. Very conscientious team, and very calm, helpful, and supportive during this minor crisis. I really really really appreciate you guys fitting me in and taking good care of me! Thank you!!! (P.S. wait lounge is also very comfy and easy to get work done in, and the free snacks were a bonus!)

Do NOT BUY A USED VEHICLE FROM HERE!!!! I let them know ahead of time about the vehicle that I was interested in. They had a 5 hour notice that O was driving 2 hours to test drive it. When I arrived the vehicle was filthy dirty and no one seemed to care. My test drive was around the block and back. Not on highway or anything. I wanted the vehicle so didn't think twice about buying it even though it was dirty inside and out. Purchased the vehicle and got on the highway. The vehicle shook uncontrollably and the dealership was closed. I drove it home and ended up having the get tires rotated and balanced within the first week of ownership. Now 3 months later, I have a flat. The vehicle came with no jack, no spare nothing. There is a place for them, but they are gone. I contacted the Kia dealership and got Al in the service department he was worthless and useless. Basically said the car didn't come with one and told me that I bought an uncertified vehicle so Kia road side wouldn't help me. I told him of all the issues with the vehicle and he didn't care. Do NOT BUY FROM HERE!!! I will be writing a letter to Kia and also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

After the transmission on my husbands car went he was left without a vehicle. We searched for a cheap car to purchase without financing and everything we saw had the potential of breaking down within a year. So, I took a leap and talked to a bank about getting a car loan and received an approval for x amount of dollars. My husband and I vsited the Cadillac dealer across from this Kia to look at used cars with my approval in hand. Mr. Hoyle helped us look at a couple used cars on their lot. He got the sense that my husband was not happy and stopped and asked “What are you really looking for? Don’t worry about the bank.” And my husband explained what he wanted in a vehicle and within the next hour we were driving off the Kia lot with a brand new car and a better approval with much lower interest. I am so happy and cannot wait Until it’s time to purchase our next vehicle! We will definitely see Mr. Hoyle and his team again! Thank you for everything!

Great experience! I went to Kia for a general warranty repair etc. My appointment was 7:30am, when I arrived Kimberly greeted me and right away was ready to take me car. I was informed during the whole process as to what was being done and how long it would take. Shuttle service was top notch and on time! They washed and vacuumed my car at no cost, changed my battery for keyless entry! I have a 4 year old and trust me this was super helpful! Not one bad word to say. TERRIFIC!

When we arrived, the vehicle we were interested in was outside in front waiting for us. Everyone at the dealership was SO friendly and helpful, from Angie the person who answered my online inquiries to our salesman Nicholas and David the finance person. We were even introduced to the manager and the personnel in the service department. They truly treated us like visiting royalty (smile). Nicholas was very helpful in explaining everything in the car to me, showing me how it worked and even hooked up my blue tooth and radio stations. It was a very positive experience.

I had my Kia Sportage serviced today at Kia of Wilmington and these folks truly know how to deliver 5 Star customer service hands down. I've had BMWs, Nissans and Toyotas serviced over the decades at Union Park, Sheridan, Price and Porter and I must say...they could All learn a thing or two from Kia of Wilmington. The customer experience was absolutely top notch! Not only did they have me out of there in no time, they also vacuumed and washed my baby so clean...her shine was blinding to my eyes. I was amazed with their VIP treatment of customers by providing 'complimentary' fully stocked vending machines of snacks and pop if you fancy as well as variety of coffee blends and hot cocoa. I swear it was like I was sitting in a Kia commercial. Lol. All I can say is... I'm digging my Sportage and Kia of Wilmington too! Two thumbs up and a big toe to you Kia of Wilmington.

My sales consultant, Melissa McLaughlin was outstanding! She made the car buying a process a pleasure as it can often be an intimidating task. She was professional and knowledgeable, as well as extremely personable. I would highly recommend anyone in search of a vehicle to talk to Melissa first. Additionally, she was able to tailor a car to fit my needs and even though I had prior financing, she referred me to Dave (Sales Manager), to see if he could lower the rate I received. I'm happy to say that he was able to lower the rate by a percentage point so that was worth the extra time (which was still minimal). Last but certainly not least, Angie (receptionist), was very pleasant and helpful in directing my needs to Melissa. I enjoyed talking with her and she also made the car buying process a pleasant one, as I had visited several other dealerships where the staff of almost all men, seemed quite aggressive and self-serving where it was a turn-off for me. Kudos to Kia of Wilmington for hiring strong, confident, yet pleasant women to help people like me navigate the daunting car buying process!

This was my first time buying a car and I was extremely nervous and doubtful I'd find anything. The service at Kia of Wilmington was amazing! From the moment we walked in they greeted us with smiles and made us feel welcomed. Everyone worked to make sure my family got what we wanted and got it for a great price. The staff was friendly and the salesman we worked with was patient and did a great job. I don't normally do reviews but this dealership definitely deserves 5 stars. I made an appointment for a transmission inspection. They were ready when I arrived. The waiting room has real coffee and good WiFi for clients use . The inspection went smoothly, the customer facing associate was very knowledgeable and informative. It’s an excellent dealership to take your Kia or if you don’t drive one, may be it’s time to consider switching to one!

I stopped in today because I had a flat tire and they were the nearest place. They replaced the tire quickly and didn't charge me an arm and a leg for it. This is a very easy review to write. I have never had a bad experience with either the sales or service department at Kia of Wilmington. They have always exceed my expectations. I typically take my car in for an oil change every 4000 miles, tire rotation every other oil change. I recently had them perform the 30K check up and besides giving me a good deal on the cost, once they were done they hand washed my car. These folks are great.

My best friend and I went to Kia of Wilmington yesterday in the search of a used optima or a new forte. The sales rep that we had was really nice and helpful. After back and forth with her regarding pricing, she requested that finance manger come over. The finance manger preceded to come over and instead of asking the sale rep to move from her seat politely, he gestured very aggressively with his hand for her to move. After taking his seat he went straight in to talking about financing. I spoke up asking what his name was so that I could introduce myself and my best friend. The finance manger raised his hand to tell me to be quite, after I asked again 2 more times he then told me his name was Anthony or Tony for short. He then continued to tell me that since I wasn’t the one who was buying the car that I didn’t matter is this discussion. He and my friend went back and forth for a bit discussing finance, with no resolution. My friend and I got up very disappointed in the experience from Kia of Wilmington and left. We headed to Martin Kia, and met a very nice sales manger and around 9:30pm my friend walked out with a brand new 2019 forte. I will be writing a letter to Kia of America and the auto group that Kia of Wilmington is affiliated with. If I could give negative stars I would.
