We were shopping around for a replacement car as our granddaughter was getting our 2005 since she got her drivers' license. I wasn't sure what I wanted, SUV? Small and more MPG?? Used?? New?? Very overwhelming for us. We had just started looking and visited another dealership (Ford) who showed us about 15 cars and we were confused with so many options dumped on us. On our way home we stopped in to ig Burton in Seaford DE. Salesperson Gary Thrower came out, introduced himself and asked us enough general questions to get an idea of what we were looking for (even though we didn't know!) and let us look. He offered features on each vehicle we looked at and made the suggestion that the Captiva could be a good fit. It was EXACTLY what we were looking for! Great vehicle, great price, great MPG! Now comes the stressful part.. going inside to make the deal. The salesperson and staff were so accommodating, kind and treated us like they wanted our business. The back window wiper was not working properly and the glass had been scratched by it. Gary arranged for them to be replaced. He also went over all the features the Captiva has including the XM radio and OnStar. It was the absolute best all around experience we have had in all our years buying cars, boats, campers, etc! They were relaxed, made it fun and a pleasure to do business with. Treated us as if we were important part of what they do. Even Cindy who handled the signing of papers and the offerings of services available when making a purchase was a pleasure! We have shared our experience with everyone we talk too and every time someone mentions our new car!!

Purchased my last vehicle at Burtons. Mike is excellent. I would definitely give him 5 star. On the other hand if you need service take it elsewhere. No one in the service department listens.They half do their job and then lie about doing it. They definitely dont know how to not refill washer fluid. My detail job consisted of a dirty truck bed that had never been washed. Vehicle was suposed to be greased. Did not happen . These instructions were very specific. Jerry the service dept manager would do better in a job where he doesnt work with people. Personality is about a zero.Not Happy with service

This was our 3rd vehicle purchase at i.g. Burton's. We wouldn't shop anywhere else when it comes to buying a truck. The service we have always gotten here has been great. The sales people are wonderful and always take the extra mile to help you out with what your looking for. Our salesman, Paul Moore is the BEST! He's very friendly and welcoming. We liked him right from the start. He listened to our needs and wants and got us to the right truck for what we were looking for. We could see he is a great asset to the i.g. Burton staff. I'm such when we're ready for truck #4 we'll be calling on Paul and i.g. Burton Cheverlot. Thanks again for everything!

Horrible, dishonest, scammers. I dropped my car off to have repairs done. I already knew what was wrong from previous diagnosis, and made sure I was aware of all pricing before work was preformed. Price was quoted and agreed upon. The work was preformed, and I received a phone call. While preforming the work they allegedly found more work that needed to be done. Ok, that work was going to be another $700 from the already agreed upon $600 pricing. But here's the catch ! The $700 wasn't going to fix everything. It was only going to fix 2/3 things, and then I was going to have to forgo several more hundreds of dollars, to fix the third issue. So I respectfully declined, and told them I didn't want any more work done, and would pay for the work that was already completed. Again I was quoted $600, ($595) to be exact. I get there and was told it was going to almost $690. I asked why, and was told "oh it was additional labor, and the job took longer than expected". So my alignment that was supposed to be $89.95, turned into almost $160, for their time. Only to find out when I took it to a new service shop 30 minutes later the specs for the alignment were so off, it didn't look as if any alignment work had been preformed. I call them and explain this to them, and they say they knew the specs were off; then why was I charged ?? Thankfully the new techs were able to correct all the issues, for a third of the price they were trying to charge me for future work, and work that was already allegedly done. Therefore, I paid almost $200 for parts and $490 for "labor" aka their time, when they knew how much time it was going to take to begin with. Oh and I forgot to mention, they wanted to charge me a $120 diagnosis fee to diagnosis what I said was already wrong with the car when I bought it in. In addition to, they charged me $20 for a "lift fee" when you have to lift the car up to work on it anyway. I say runnn for away, their "tax" they put on their time is worst then the government's. Even Uncle Sam isn't this greedy. Go to a more reputable place, that does quality work, that values your time as much as theirs. And I'm sure as I'm typing this review the techs that worked on my vehicle are in the back taking a smoke break, while charging hard working Americans for their time. LOL To summarize, my $600 repairs turned into $690, miscellaneous fees and supply charges that should be covered under parts and labor which were not; and I was not informed or updated about. And now after paying their overcharge of services, I still had to get my car fixed and fixed correctly.

5 times visited and sales persons for used cars not prepared upon 1st meet and greet to know inventory, prices, mileage. No one carries inventory list with basic facts. They all have to go back to a computer to get a price. They can pull out their smart phone, call up their web site to get the information quicker than having you stand around waiting for them to do their homework that should be done before the start of work.

We bought our sons first car at IG Burton yesterday. The salesmen, “Ben Reinert” made it a wonderful experience. He took his time to help us find the perfect vehicle. My son was using some of his own money towards the purchase price which meant we had a strict budget. Ben kept us within our budget. He spend a lot of time researching options online and even brought an option from the Milford location to Seaford in order to save us a longer trip. My son had looked at dozens of options before meeting Ben. It didn’t take long for them to find a perfect fit. The car not only looked good but Ben made sure it had a good mechanical history. I took my corvette to have the drivers door latch replaced, they did a great job finding the part and stuck to the quote but they didn't replace the door panel, when I went back in the service manager told me he thought I wanted to save money by doing it myself. I will never return again.

Took forever to find the part I was asking about even after telling them exactly what I needed then told they couldn't sell me the part because I needed to buy the extra parts I didn't need and was then told that the part might not fix my problem because it happened to all cars they sold of my make and model. If it happens in all the cars why the hell should I have to pay for something that was a design flaw?

Overpriced. Took major advantage of us breaking down on a trip back home up the coast. Simple fix that would cost 200 was inflated to 644. 40 percent mark up on aftermarket prices, 300 percent mark up on power steering fluid, and a 400 dollar labor charge to put a power steering pump in. Text book example of a dealership who takes advantage of people from out of state with misfortune.

Went to Buy a car. The salesperson, Ariel, was courteous. We made an offer and Ariel brought in a counter offer. All that was ok and then the Manager Vincent came to talk and he was downright rude. His words were - "Its either this offer or the door". Think about it - this is a dealership whose manager shows the customers the door. The salesperson had an aghast look on his face and shaking his head. No wonder the car has not been sold for last 6 months. Don't know how IG Burton has been in the business for so long - maybe it depends on the masochist customers who like to be demeaned.

This is a trust worthy organization with wonderful service technicians. I am only commenting on the service department because that is the department I have had experience with. The can rush a car through if it is a simple Job such as oil change, tires, or lights if the customer says they will be waiting there for their car. There is wonderful waiting area with a Keurig and a modest selection of K-cups and creamers.

Bought a new car from them and after one month the car started to studder and the check engine light stayed on. Called there service department and what a joke they are. I live 40 mins from them and told them it would have to be towed and they said OK but they couldn't give me a rental. My car has less than 4000 miles and warranty and you want me to have no car with 2 young kids. So I called all the managers and no answer so left a message with no response. Also called their man store in Milford with no answer or call back. I did the next best thing and contacted another Chevy dealer closer to me and they said yes, we have heard of this problem with this make and model and sorry to inconvenience you but it will take less than 30 mins of paper work for you will get a rental at no charge other than the $50 gas deposit when will be refunded after you return the vehicle with a full tank. Beware of IG Burton!!!!!!!
