I had a great experience today at the dealership. From the initial phone call to dropping off my car to getting the rental car and the follow-ups, exceptional service! Nancy the service coordinator answered the phone, she was very pleasant and clearly well trained with excellent verbal skills. She was able to get me in within two hours. Once I got there the reception was warm with smiles on Nancy's face as well as her co-worker Joyce. You can tell they take pride in their jobs and are well suited for a customer service oriented tasks... They got me taken care of quickly and I left with a brand new rental car, that was clean. The transition from the service department to the rental department happened in a professional manner with a handoff from Nancy to Troy who was equally polite and professional. The AC in my car was not working and we live in Northern VA with small kids and an infant. Did not want to drive back in the heat. Even though the part to fix the car was not available till after the weekend, they offered to fill the car with Frion that should last me till next week due to the slow leak that was happening. What I heard them say was that they care about the well being of my family and recognize the three hour drive in 90 degree weather. Overall i got a sense that the owners and managers of this dealership spend time in hiring the right staff and have established a culture of customer service with continuous training. For that I am grateful and thankful for the experience. Thank you!!

My experience of being a life long customer with the Hertrich family has me and my husband looking at Burtons down the road for our next new vehicle. I was told today ( Saturday) my car would be ready for pickup. But. Once I hired a taxi to bring us here we came to find it wouldn't be ready until Monday of next week. I asked for a rental and was informed it would cost is $ 39.00 per day. Why are we having to consider paying for a rental when we were told our car would be finished today. Thier seems to be a huge lack of communication in this family owned company. Furthermore. Customer service seems to be going by the wayside these day . I guess we will be seeking our next new vehicle from another dealership.
Went in for an emergency wheel hub replacement. Before they got started they were NICE enough to bring me my cabin and engine air filter as part of their courtesy several point inspection. Price for filters, $39 and $69. I asked them to blow them off and put them back. A few days later when I got the new filters at 1/2 the price the dealership quoted I opened the cabin filter to find that they put it back in with all the lint and debris that was on it when they showed it to me. Engine filter was the same. Pretty disappointing that I just spent almost $700 for the wheel hub repair and rotor resurfacing, and because I was trying to be frugal with what was left of my vacation funds, they pulled a stunt like that. I know my service dept. in Maine would not have done that. And furthermore will likely tell me how to make an official complaint GM. If not for that stunt, I would have rated the service much better.

Had tires replaced and oil change. Tires were great. Other service not so good. Oil filter drains across a trough like plate. I clean it off...they just let it sit which dripped all over my driveway and garage. Said I had 2 license plate bulbs out and yo replace was $60!.....Walmart is 2 for $5. I bought them without checking first...took their word for it and they were both still lite. I replaced them anyhow in less than 5m. Fluids like brake fluid was supposed to be topped off...it was about an inch low...no biggy but not topped off.

Leadership in the automotive department could brush up on their customer service skills. Whether you've been with the company 20 hours, 20 days or 20 years, it is still your responsibility to be kind to customers. Sometimes, as a customer, you are already stressed because you are having to seek out alternatives for vehicle repairs and the thought of how costly it may be. As customers, we don't need to converse with someone who is rude and non compassionate on the other end of the phone. My mother has purchased every car she's owned from Hertrich and has also spent numerous dollars in the automotive repair department. On a number of occasions, Sean has been nothing other than rude to her. This is unacceptable for employees at such a known community establishment. I've suggested that she takes her services elsewhere in the future. My suggestion to the company is to offer free customer relations courses to all of your employees.
Slow service
Hertrich Buick GMC is a great hometown dealership to buy from. Jack Hudson my Sales Consultant helped me find the perfect SUV, a 2008 Toyota Highlander that fulfilled my every need. The price was right and they got me a great interest rate from the bank along with a low monthly payment. I would recommend everyone stop by for a great car buying experience!
I'd like to say that I've bought several Buick's off of Hertrich in the past, and my last experience was one of the best. My sales consultant Jack Hudson helped me find my new Buick Verano, which turned out to work very well for me. I traded in a older Buick Lacrosse and I'm very much impressed with all the new conveniences in this one. I really like the backup camera and wish I'd one sooner.

Very unimpressed by this dealership and their salesman. More specifically the salesman Grant. Spent over $70k on a truck here just to be pushed around and lied to. I will never EVER do business with this dealership ever again. They will say what they have to just get your business and money and then not follow through. I will make it known to every single person I know how they operate here. Stick with Easton Hertrich, I will for now on.

Every time I've interacted with anyone from the dealership I've always received great service. I drive an hour to this location all because I know I will get great customer service. There is a Hertrich 5 mins from my house and I ONLY go there if I have to (slow leak in my tire etc.). Their service is nothing compared to the Seaford location. I will continue to do business with this location as long as I have the option.
Wait was about 6 hours while we were there. Set on a specific car and at the end of everything, we weren't eligible for that car. So they decided to sell us the EXACT same car from another lot, but it would be a few days to get it. Fast forward 3 days we get a call saying we can come get the car. We get there, and the car we're picking up is the one we were not "eligible" for. So the paperwork had to be redone AGAIN. And instead of going through any possible changes, they said "It's less than the other car". Stupid me didn't realize the interest rate went from 5.99% to 10.99%. That's my fault for not looking, I'll own that. Fast forward a month and still no tags for the car. "Delays with the MVA, we'll just give you another temp tag". Love the car, no complaints about it, but I will NEVER buy another car here. Very hush hush let's see what we can get away with.

Shane, Joyce and the entire service team at Hertrich GMC are the best!! I have been driving an hour for years because I trust them with my vehicles. They have gone above and beyond on a few occasions when time was an issue for me. The service department is why I purchase my vehicles at this dealership. Without this crew, I would definitely go somewhere closer to me.
Made appointment to look a certain vehicle went on time. Not on lot, sold! That was a lie, and I went to the other store there it sit unsold. They did have a truck that they jacked the price up by 5000. I will make sure nobody I know ever shop's at a hertrich store. Did I mention this is the second time this has happened in two different locations.
Their customer service is less than honest...from the buying experience and it has carried right on through to the service department. We will not be returning with the exception we have to bc of their terrible extended warranty we have through them.

I think our car buying experience here was the fastest, easiest and more than fair car buying experience we've ever had. I made an inquiry about a vehicle I saw online. I got an immediate response and the name of a sales person. When we got there, without an appointment, they held the door open and somehow knew we were there for a particular car. Perry was awesome, Frank was awesome, the manager was awesome. Very respectful, quick and efficient. Seriously - these guys were great. We got more than we expected for our trade-in and our payment is under what we expected. We also got an unexpected 7 year, 100,000 mile warranty on a pre-owned car. We will definitely be back when it's time to buy another car.

Worse dealership I have ever been to. Waited all day to find out they had sold the car I had signed all of the paperwork for.
Went in nervous as a first car buyer. A few hours later I was approved for a loan. And a car was selected for me with only 30 days warranty , I should have asked more questions but I really needed a vehicle so I took it. Fast forward two weeks later I had to service the engine when I was assured that it just got serviced and a fresh tag on the windshield to prove that( big fat lie) 3rd week engine light would come on and off , told the guy who sold it to me . He said it’s probably your gas cap. 2nd month with the car I already change the water pump system, my ac and heat stopped working one day (hundreds dollars in repair) 3rd month and going the car simply won’t start randomly . Changed the battery but it keeps dying, took it to the shop a couple times . It’s maybe the starter I have been told but there is no way we can check that for real. Mind you I am paying each repair out of my pocket . If I dare take the car to work, I have to keep Triple A’s number on speed dial and guess what I am sitting in a dead car at work, CRYING , 45 minutes from home waiting for my sister to pick me up( I cannot afford another tow this time) as I am writing this. Every time I had trouble with the car I called Hertrich and nobody ever called me back to check how it is going. The car literally shut down on me WHILE I WAS driving on DuPont Hwy . I just hope that your family and loved ones are never in a lemon like the one you guys sold me and I pray that God bless you all immensely. I’ll make sure that no one I know ever walk into your store

On October 1, 2014 I brought my first vehicle from the sales rep AL at Hertrich. He did a great job at explaining every step of the process. Actually ended up financing the car in less then a hour. The staff are very professional, friendly and do a phenomenal job at selling vehicles. I would recommend buying a vehicle from them any day! Ask for AL!

I saw an ad online for a used Jeep. I contacted the dealership, confirmed availability, then drove 41 miles to test drive the car. All was well. The salesman was all smiles and promises. We even agreed to a price. The issues started when I was told that I could NOT get it registered to my home address because my license was out of state (military). Then I was told to keep them from selling the Jeep, I could place a deposit on the vehicle for the three days necessary to get my license reflecting my home address. Wrong again. They then REQUIRED that I PURCHASE the car (sign all the paperwork), shy of making payment due to the holiday, until banks opened...when I could wire funds but that they would still be pulling my credit to "verify my identity" even though this was a CASH transaction, they had my license AND passport....realize, they WERE NOT releasing the car to me. I did NOT take possession. Then they said because I wired funds from a joint account that they would REQUIRE my FOURTEEN YEAR OLD DAUGHTER (other name on account) to be on the title and they would have to pull her credit...once again, to verify her identity, even though she is LEGALLY INCAPABLE OF ENTERING A CONTRACT. The owner finally got fed up with me questioning the ridiculousness of his "policies" and cancelled the sale. I am STILL fighting to get my SEVENTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS BACK!!!! NEVER EVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!

I brought my 2011 HHR in for the ignition recall work and ended up getting a brake job on the front when the tech doing the inspection saw some need for the pads to be replaced and the rotors turned. My past dealings with the service department gave me the faith to believe what they were saying. The additional work was done quickly and efficiently. I also found out that their tire prices are very competitive with the local tire dealers and since I will need tires before winter, I will be going back for those.

Will and Tyler were both great. They went beyond what I was asking for. Very happy with my purchase and my experience until it comes to the service department. Horrible. I have gone there for 3 service covered issues, all the same problem, and not once has it been taken care of properly. This last visit left us with a 600 bill from an actual dealership that has competent people servicing their customers vehicles. The part that Hertrich put on my car was not even for the model. It wasn't even close. To top it off, try getting anywhere with any of these folks. From the manager of the dealership to my salesman , and everyone in between, they let you talk and assure you they will look into it but that's all you get. Unless you talk to the service manager, then you're in for a rude, unprofessional and incompetent talking down to from someone that shouldn't be trusted to color pictures of cars let alone "work on" them.
