Huge thank you to the Fred Drake auto team for getting us back on the road Tuesday on the way home from family vacation. When our trailer had a blow out on Rt 1, they arrived quickly, towed the trailer to the shop, arranged for a new tire, had it mounted, and allowed us to finish our travels in the same day. My wife and kids certainly appreciated the toys, bathroom, and A/C in the waiting room. Highly recommend!!!

I have had nothing but great experiences with them, as they have done almost all the work needed on my BMW over the last 3 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Their service is 100% and top-notch.

Very experienced team with good personality! We needed 4 new tires and called four different places shooting around for prices. Ashley who answered the phone was very knowledgeable and had no problems making the best recommendation at the best price around. The service was fast and the waiting room was comfortable with all the needed amenities if you need to wait for your car, they can also drop you back at home if needed. Overall great experience and I will be going back again for all my car needs.

Wow !?!? My tire popped today and I was right by Fred Drake Automotive thank goodness , was at the end of my rope was a bad day , but the lady came out and looked at my tire then the mechanic put the spare on, I couldn’t thank them enough!? Had no tools whatsoever on me and they fixed me right up, and didn’t ask for a dime. Will tell anyone I know to go here definitely will be back!

took my vehicle there to get an oil change and a check engine light check, now while most places would tell you that your check engine light is this or that just to make a buck I was told that my check engine light was on do to being in needed of the oil change I was like way over do, therefore there was nothing else wrong with my vehicle other then that. thankfully . they also went on to replace the bulbs over my license plate so I didn't get pulled over and given a ticket. this is definitely the place to take your car to get it fixed and an honest mechanic. this also isn't my only great experience with them, I was told I needed a hub for my other vehicle at which time I took it to get an estimate with my car on the lift I was called out to the garage and showed that my tire wasn't moving the way it would if I needed a hub so they looked into it further refusing to sell me a hub until they test drove it and confirmed it was the hub. again they could have sold me a hub just to make a buck but they didn't Great Job ill see you on the next oil change!

Not sure what happened to my last negative post but it's gone. Charged me 580. 00 to tow my truck 3 miles. Towed at 1130 pm picked up by 10 am charged me two days and a lot of extra charges. Do not trust them . No justification just because they have a lic to steal.

Bad..never posted a bad review, never had to...but try to stay away from this guy...he tow my 07 mazda from an accident front and back bumper got ruined, and tires too...I ask for estimate they said they were gonna call me back, never did and still charge for day it stayed during the estimate...then I ask what were the fee over the phone, they keep adding charges they couldn't even explain and hang up every time I ask for them...Fred told me it was gonna be over 12k to fix bumpers, not including tires, then he offered me 500 for the car and call it even...wtf!!! I just took my car and fix everything for $2500 in a shop in georgetown...I'm a try to stay away from this bunch of thiefs

Recently had my car fixed at Fred Drake Automotive. They were excellent. The customer service is top notch. They diagnosed my car and then let me know what the cost would be. Thankfully they have amazing prices and I had them fix my car. It runs even better then before! I highly recommend them and will never take my car anywhere else.

This business gets ZERO stars. First, after calling NUMEROUS tow companies and being advised that, if a vehicle is towed for a routine traffic stop, suspended license, etc., the tow fee is, typically, $175 for the tow, plus $50 per day storage. Fred Drake, however, charges the following: $175.00 for the tow $50.00 per "calendar day" for storage (so even though the vehicle has been there for just over 12 hours, the charge will be for TWO DAYS $45.00 "gate fee" $35.00 "administrative fee" $25.00 "fuel surcharge" To say the above charges are ridiculous and opportunistic would be a monumental understatement. I would avoid this business at any and all costs (or it will cost you plenty).

I would give 0 stars if I could. They told me they could fix my car. Held it for two weeks and didn’t fix anything, but still charged $1,000. They should never have even taken the car if they weren’t competent enough to fix it.

These guys are great! I drive down from North Wilmington for their auto services because I trust them and they always do a great job. I was rear ended a few years back and they did a great job with the repairs. Now, my license plate light went out (4 years later) and they took care of it right away with great/friendly service. Highly recommended

I am all for a company making an honest profit but I think $317 is a little extreme for an Oil Change and Fuel Filter change even if it is a ford diesel and requires 4 gals of oil!! They did deliver my truck to me because I could not make it to their facility by closing time. However, they called me at 1030am saying the work was done and told me they would drop my truck off. They showed up at my house at 5pm with the truck. Don't think they will be getting any repeat business from me

I was so relieved. A few days later I saw my vehicle, it had been kept safe and my stuff was all inside!! I have continued to use Fred Drake referring friends and family. I've been bringing my car here for service ever since I bought it (brand new). I have ALWAYS been accommodated and the Drakes have always taken great care of me and my vehicle. They have saved me money by educating me about the timing in which I have my services done and have explained when I should exercise urgency versus being mindful of what types of services my vehicle has ahead. Great shop. Clean, friendly, strong coffee and most importantly: HONEST!

I am completely disgusted and disappointed with Fred Drake, because Ive got work done with them before and did business and all that in the past. But i took my car there to check a transmission fluid leak and they told me i i had to replace my lines and a couple other lies that would cost $553. i did not believe them at all so I took my car to BENCHMARK TRANSMISSIONS and got my problem fixed for $60. I will never do business with Fred Drake again!

These folks are awesome and so great to deal with. We broke down on the way from NJ to Harrington DE. The tow truck was there in 15 minutes and the driver was very nice. The receptionist made us feel comfortable during our wait and so very pleasant. The mechanics that SHOWED us and explain what happened and why were great as well. Wish Fred Drake Auto was in NJ.
