It was my first time at the auction, I brought a 2009 Ford Flex, I have not drove the car once. I had brought the truck that had water and oil mixed in it, Water pump leaking, I haven't got the title yet and I purchased it 3/2/18. I called several times. I will never buy another car from them ever. When they was auction it they had the trunk up . After I brought it they close the trunk and it has a big dent in it. I ask them can I get my money back, because clearly this automobile has been in a accident. They said I purchased as in. I'm very upset.

Minutes to register, left and it sold the same night, picked up check the next day....that simple. Staff is very helpful and professional. I was happy with my car purchase also purchased the warranty because they said it covered major problems if anything went wrong with the car but of course when I had a problem with the car I contacted apw and of course they refused to pay so I would say the auction is fine but dont purchase warranty

Just bought my second vehicle here in 6 months. Both times the check engine light was reset. Immediately after pulling off the lot the engine light reappeared. Both issues were from stretched timing chains ($3k repair). I have spoken to several people and they've had the same issue. No way they dont know that this is happening. Scam Artists! Spend a little extra and go to a dealership.

I had DAE sell a car for me and I was, so impressed with how well they conducted their business that I brought them another car a few weeks later. The 2nd car didn't sell the first week , so I left it there for a 2nd week in which it didn't sell either. When I went to pick it up they handed me the key and the key fob wasn't there; only the emergency key was on their tag. They asked me to go out into there fenced in lot, and see if it was left in the car; it was. The car was un-locked and the key fob was in the ignition. I inspected the car, but didn't notice till I got home that the passenger seat adjustment knob was popped out, the wires cut, and the knob taken. I called them to report the theft and they said it wasn't their problem. I could see any damage on the outside of the car, but interior damage is hard to accept when they have 2 fences around the property, and they take your key and hang it up in an office that's also locked. They deal with a lot of people who don't have the best of morals, and I understand that they think most people are trying to get over... But this was a car that was left unlocked with the key in the ignition. I guess I'm lucky it wasn't stolen. For a couple of week I told people that DAE was a good place to sell a car... I guess I now have a different story to tell...

You really have to watch the people that work there. Keep a close eye on your money and how things work. I bought two cars from here once. The second car they announced had an R title. I didn't know what that was so I asked. The guy at the table said that he said hard title and that it meant that they physically had the title there. When I decided to stop bidding, the auctioneer insisted that I bid one more time and guaranteed that I would get it... Caught up in the moment, I did and he was right... When I got into the office, they had the release for the R(reconstructed) title. I refused that car and made it very clear that I was paying for the regularly titled vehicle. After they accepted my money, the woman laughed and said that she was applying it to the R title. I ended up stuck with the both. Now, I wouldn't even buy a cup of coffee from these people.

A fun experience not my first time at an auto auction. Everything was up to date a little loud but did have back up screens to see current bid. People were friendly, professional and made sure for first timers what they were to expect before the auction with a short seminar. The only reason I didn't give it a 5th star is because I was unable to start the vehicles prior to auction. I have been to several auctions and on the same day of auction the keys were left in the vehicle to start them up. I was informed here I could do so only if I was a dealer. Not exactly fair. But to provide a better experience and a higher bid amount I would encourage them to strive on allowing a startup I would have surely spent more money. But overall it was a great experience. I did buy a truck.

After seeing the car I bought in the daylight, I noticed the "CHECK ENGINE" light was BLACKED OUT BY PAINT. Then I started noticing more cover-ups like spray painting the wheels, rotors, running bars and bumpers. I called Delaware Auto Exchange (DAE) and asked if they could stop the sale since the title wasn't available. They said NO. I asked if they could not do business with the shady dealership, D&G AUTO SALES, Frankford, DE. They said NO. That the dealership may not been aware. (I personally find that hard to believe.) I asked for a manager to call me. Its been over a month. No call yet.

I purchased 2 trucks from this auction ($4,700) only to get to the main road and 1 shut off. We thought maybe we needed gas so we towed it to the gas station which was only 2/3 blocks down the road. After putting $50 of gas in there it still wouldn’t start. Then the other one cut off at the gas station and all the brake fluid ran out. Had to get it (Titan) towed back to auction and everyone was gone except for one gentleman that was waiting for his ride, he advised me to call back the next day. I called and talked to a young lady and she said the manager would reach back out, of course no call back. I’m from Baltimore there’s no way I’m paying to get it towed from there. It looks like I’m out of $2,800. We had ride all the was home with the emergency brake. I will be contacting the BBB about this place they’re literally robbing people. I’m aware that I purchased this truck as is but, it’s also supposed to be drivable not push/pull or tow vehicle. Smfh STAY AWAY PEOPLE

I tried to cross the highway with the truck I got and it shut off on me in the middle of the road that was unsafe had to put in neutral and restart it out in reverse and it's still sitting in your parking lot every time I give it gas it shuts off

In February I purchased a car from DAE, as I was bidding I asked the workers if anything was wrong they said no. There was NO warning lights on at time of bidding. I go to leave the auction and get no more than 3 miles down the road and not only did several warning lights start flashing but the car stopped driving. I had to turn off the car and restart it just to pull it off the road. Mind you I was 7 months pregnant and came from Pennsylvania. I called the auction they came and took the car back ,than told me to call them in the morning. I kept calling and was told I would have to talk to the dealer, and than he would either provide another vehicle or my money back (because that's what he had told them) it is now June and I have yet to get either or, No one will answer my calls or return my calls. $1300 GONE and no car to show. It's a very upsetting situation and couldn't believe they could take be like this.

Good place to purchase vehicles. But Delaware Auto Auction you know you're wrong for selling me a vehicle with the "Check engine" light on! This truck I bought from there has never passed inspection since I had it, and I've had problems with it ever since. (I am disable and a lot of us don't get around well, and it's much less when we have a vehicle that does'nt work well!) Other than that, I think it's ok, you take your chances.
