Had a strange experience at this place. Went in on a Friday after work, found a used vehicle I liked, went on a test drive and it needed some work. They had just gotten this car as a trade and it hadnt been through service so no big deal, they were going to do the work. Went through the process of submitting my request for financing but it was late in the day and couldnt get it wrapped up the same day. They asked if I could come back tomorrow to which I obliged. They called Saturday afternoon that everything was ready and asked me to come in. I go, sit down with my salesman: he brings over a scrap of paperwork with a monthly payment written down in marker that was astronomical and made no sense. We had never discussed the rates they got from the bank, my trade-in, etc. When I asked how the payment could possibly be that high for a $10,000 car you would have thought I was insulting someone. After some himming and hawing, he came back with more numbers roughly drawn on the scrap of paper. After no discussion about trade, they were the lowest number I had gotten from any dealership(and I had shopped around a while). Including financing, they wanted me to pay $19k for a $10k car. After declining such a "deal", the salesman started on about how hes already had multiple people call and offer cash for the same car, etc. Either way, it was a weird turn after I had spent 4 or 5 pleasant hours with these people to suddenly ruin it by trying to hide information from me and then acting like I was insane for it. I get it, someone else was coming with an easier sale but thats not a reason to treat people poorly and I cant help but feel that the lack of information/numbers was a blatant attempt to deceive. This was a while ago and looking at the website it does appear that the salesman I was working with is now, unsurprisingly, gone but none the less its a poor practice and I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone as a result. EDIT: I received a reply from the manager but could not reply to them so I will put it here. This would have happened last March I believe. I understand that their belief is that this is not how they do business but it happened so in this instance that was not the case. There was nothing to bring up at the time as I wasnt paying double for a car and there was nothing left to resolve. It may be worth mentioning that I also went to the Carman Ford/Lincoln dealership to look at another vehicle and this event came up in our conversation. They said that they brought it up with management or ownership at the time so I believe it was addressed but who really knows. The salesman I was working with was at the desk next to the used car manager and whenever I needed more information, the salesman was walking over to him to jot down more notes with his marker so he was well aware of what was going on.

Worst experience I have had at any dealer was here. When filling my paper work for the laon they said all was approved and accepted. Then a week later I had to refill out paper work bc somehow the paper work magically wasn't accepted. I had issues with a cracked windshield it took many weeks to get fixed. They had a guy come out and put some sort of sealant to the crack and said all was fine. Wrong! After those weeks waiting the small cracks that were there r now the size of a quarter MB larger. The filling of that crack did absolutely nothing. There was a broke panel to the front right side of door not bother to take to get it fixed since they don't fix anything wrong with your car! I was told my inspection would be covered under buying from them yet again wrong. I had to pay about 90 dollars for that as well and have yet to be reimbursed. I would highly not recommend this company for anyone to buy a vehicle from at all. I've had nothing but issues from this dealer and won't be returning for another car. If I could rate a negative star I would because this company thinks a cracked windshield isn't their problem or issue. Therefore yet again I'm coming out of pocket to pay for what should of been fixed by them.

My husband had broken one of our remote start keys and started using the original jeep key. We started having issues with the inside lights coming on and almost stalling. He got another remote key from the hardware store and we were still having issues . Two weeks ago he took the jeep to Carmen where we purchased it and they had installed the remote system .They told him they hardware key was no good and we couldn't use the original keys since we have the remote start. They would have to reboot the system and do new key for $300 and set an apt for 5/10. My husband decided today to take the jeep to our local jeep dealership and found out there is nothing wrong with the remote system or any of the keys. The jeep needed a throttle body...the mechanic said it is a wonder the vehicle hadn't died by now...we had them fix it of course. When told where we got the other info..he just hung his head.

Came into the dealership with a difficult situation but I was treated with professionalism and empathy by all those involved. Tom was very knowledgeable about the product and made all the pricing and financing very clear and easy to understand, he also had me take a tour of the dealership while we had some downtime as this is my first new car purchase. Really was not interested in negotiating. After several attempts to negotiate it was clear they wanted to only shuffle the numbers making it look like they are giving a deal. I left went to another dealership and got a slightly upgraded version of the same vehicle at the price I offered Carmen. This is not a place to try and get a mutual benefit deal. Joe to your response, your price less rebates was $43,044 not $41. Less trade of $14k you had a remaining amount plus tax and tags of $31, 345.64. I had the same vehicle but with a few more options and they started at $46k to your $43. I went back and forth with the manager and in the end they came down to $29k after tax and tags to your $31k. They wanted my business enough to go $1,300 less than you and with more options on the vehicle. I made one offer while at your dealership and was rejected without seeing anyone else but your sales person. I left and sent an email with another offer to which you sales person calls me and tells me that we still can't deal. The other dealership personalized it by their manager speaking to me directly.

Awesome! Definitely recommend this dealership. There's a reason they have a massive truck inventory AND a reason they have great reviews. Bought our first new truck from Carman after searching nationwide for a deal. With prices set to sell fast, we had to check them out. Our salesman, Anthony was knowledgeable and to the point. I spoke to him about the actual vehicle details and spoke to the general manager, Joe, directly to handle the financials of the vehicle. Together, my wife and I found the experience to be wonderful. No hard sale, only caring information and guidance that would get us the right truck and the right deal. Joe spent the time to look for creative ways to combine year end, month end deals/incentives in order to get us the best final price. we played with different rebates and options while helping us search for more possible savings. In the end, we took a bus from NYC to Wilmington where Anthony picked us up from the bus drop-off, in the truck were looking at and I test drove it back to the dealership. Shortly after, we walked out the door and drove off with a beautiful new truck within our targeted budget that had a couple more features we didn't anticipate having. Our experience as first time buyers couldn't have went better!

Service Department: Mark and Tony are 5-stars. The shuttle, not so much. Driver was frantic and talking about all the places he had to rush to. Also the tech (not so much), had my tires rotated, and the air pressure was not adjusted, hence my tire light is now on, and I will have to do this myself. That's what I paid them to do.

Carman WAS my go to vehicle one stop shop. My family and I bought five vehicles (and had them serviced there, both Ford and Chrysler) between 1985 and 2009. However, we will neither purchase nor service any vehicle, ever again. We bought a certified Chrysler van there in 2009. It had low mileage, was clean and according to Kelly Blue Book, a good deal. From 2009 until 2015, we took the van back for service work twenty three, 23 times! Problems with air conditioning took five visits, five visits, to correct. Total cost to us for those visits was $2736.00! Any dealer could replace the entire system for that amount! Engine light took six visits and cost us $1978.00 in diagnostics and parts. It was never fixed! A friend who is an ace mechanic who comes to his client's home, read the code, replaced the oxygen sensor. Problem fixed! Total cost, $127.00. Problem solved. Further, on two occasions, service writers questioned our complaint saying that they were the experts and knew what they were doing! Insulting AND inept. Stay away from either of the Carmen dealerships. Total rip off!

late on my review. bought a pre certified 2016 Ram with under 25000 miles. About 3 months after I bought the truck I got a flat on 95. Now I find out the jack is missing from under the passenger seat and the spare tire is missing. But on the pre certification it states that the truck has a spare. Called later that day after I repaired everything, I was told by an assistant manager that someone must have stolen it. Pressed him to talk to the manager, was told he was in a meeting and would call me later that day. Two days later I called again had to leave my information and someone would call me back about the issue. Well a little over a year later and no calls yet. I guess your number 1 until you sign the paperwork. Well Carman don't ever worry because you won't see my business again.

I am writing this review about the service department. I haven't even got my car fixed yet, but I finally after 3 days got a solid answer on what issue is. Although they said i would know after 2 days. My problem is if I hadn't called late on the 2nd day, I would have never known that they were behind and needed more time to review vehicle to make sure they are right. I know stuff happens and would be perfectly fine with that answer had they called me and explained. So finally on the 3rd day, when I get review on what's wrong with my car by another service, b\c the original one is off (everybody needs time off), he explained my options of which I accepted too. I paid my half upfront to order part needed on my vehicle and was told I would receive call back letting me know what timeline is (This was mid day). So I was hoping to get some call before weekend hit to know how much more time I would be without car. So when I didn't receive call by 5PM, I called back. I was told the service writer of which I spoke to earlier today, left for the day and whom I was speaking to couldn't tell me anything and call back on Monday. So I mentioned to the now 3rd person I spoke with that their communication needs improvement. Which I received a snarky remark, saying "I should tell the 2nd service writer that complaint." So there is that... Maybe it's just me, but I am about to spend over a $1000 dollars on a repair and maybe that is not much to some people, but all I ask is for consistent communication and a system where all should be able to give at least some information to a customer about their vehicle. Again day 3, will be day 6 on Monday hopefully I have a timeline on how long it will be to get part and have car serviced. Please note, this review is for the lack of clear communication give for customers spending money for a complete service and communication should be at the top of the list.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! I have a Fiat 500x. The daytime running lights & parking lights indicator came on when I started my car on Thursday evening. I called service Friday from work, and was told I could drop it off but no one could look at it until Monday. I drop it off early Saturday morning, explaining to the service rep that I called, etc. Monday comes around, and I hear nothing from Carman. Tuesday morning I called to find out the status, and by the confusion in the reps voice, it sounds like they have no record of my car being there. The only response I'm given is, "We'll try to look at it today." About 20 minutes after that call, my phone rings, and its Carman service. I answer only to hear, "Hi, Mrs. Porter...". Wrong! The rep has dialed the wrong number. I went to Carman from work on Tuesday to retrieve my car so I can take it elsewhere. When given the key, it has no work order tag on it, and I found the work order hang tag under the front seat. Best of all, there's damage to my front bumper. This is the latest in the Carman service saga. My previous experiences have been just as bad, including them ordering a new door handle, never contacting me when it came in, me calling to find out what was going on, being told to bring the car, only to be told they couldn't find the part. That took another 2 weeks to reorder and fix. Or, how about the fact that I needed my radio replaced when the car was only a year old, and having to wait 3 weeks for warranty approval & part ordering. If you don't want to repair Fiats, even though it was purchased at the dealership, then just stop doing so and tell people to go elsewhere.

This is my first time writing a review but this is the worst car buying experience I’ve had yet! I love my 2014 Jeep Cherokee but the process has not been easy. I was told my tank would be filled up when I got the car and it was not. There was a nail in the tire and I caught a flat and had to fix that myself. I’ve had to go back multiple times because the salesperson didn’t have all my paperwork (I will keep his name out of it). Then the order for my tag was NEVER put in until I called to ask about it. My temp tag literally was about to expire and so the clerk said she would mail me a new one closer to the expiration date, while she put in the order for my tag. She never sent me new temp tags! So the temp tag I have on my car is currently expired and I can’t drive anywhere. I would not recommend Carman dodge dealership!

Smooth during the sales process but when I came back to talk about a glitch in the radio of our Jeep Compass they want me to pay a $125 diagnostic fee. There is a well known safety issue with the radio weather pop-ups that causes distracted driving and hopefully not a crash for my and my family. I expect a little better from you guys after the sale. This makes me never want to buy a Jeep again and it makes me want to tell my friends and family to also never buy a Jeep, Dodge, or Chrysler again.
