Great service at Mitchell. These guys are like family to us.
Yesterday we bought a Volvo C70 and I was surprised how it looks proceces purchase, no releases of if you will not be sure you have all the documents and does not check the car for point it does not matter whether used or new but they are doing. On the online price was different than that recorded on the spot, but after checking, because price was attractiveness and made I was there was when buying. High accuracy and attention to applaud.
Got everything needed to get done in my car in few hours. Thanks to a young gentleman in Service and the Store Manager. While waiting, in the new lounge I had coffee and internet service free of charge. The new building is very clean and elegant. It has modern furniture and architectural design; very functional and uncluttered area. Cheers!
I would recommend Mitchell Volvo to anyone. Amazing customer service, understanding and overall experience. I honestly have never such a positive car buying experience.
Best staff and service around. My third Volvo with Mitchell and I'll never go anywhere else!
I received an unusual notification on my dashboard in the car "No oil pressure, please stop safety." I brought my car into the Mitchell Service Center, and Sloan (the service rep) listened to me, had my car brought in immediately to get it looked at. Almost an hour later, he explained to me what was going on with my car, what needs to happen to repair it, what the expected timeframes will be, and how I will be accommodated with a loaner until the repairs are completed.
It's always a pleasure to have my 09 Saab Aero taken care of by the Saab Service Department at Mitchell Volvo of Simsbury. Congenial and competent service. No job is too small. Thanks again!
We bought a 2019 Volvo and it is now almost two full months and we still don’t have a license plate. After numerous emails, texts, and calls we are now unable to drive the car due to the temporary plates expiring.
My experience with Rene Mitchel was above and beyond what I expected for his knowledge in the car business. He is truly an asset to the company and a quintessential professional!!!!
Timely and quality service
Nice people
Bought my first Volvo at Mitchell Volvo, working with James and Jeff. Their team was able to meet any request (even meeting after hours to test drive) and make a complicated process easy. Many thanks to the team, looking forward to servicing my vehicle there for years to come.
Everyone here is very helpful and kind unlike other Volvo dealers in the state.
After searching high and low for the vehicle I wanted in the Boston area, I came up empty-handed. I expanded my search area to include neighboring states, which returned a car that was a perfect match for me at Mitchell Volvo! I immediately called the dealership and expressed unrestrained interest in the vehicle, making sure it was in fact available. The knowledgeable Emily took my call, answered all my questions, and promised to have the vehicle ready for a showing. I barreled down the highway to CT instantly. Upon arriving, Emily greeted me, showed my the car, and helped me prepare all the paperwork. She is personable, friendly, and all around AWESOME. I returned to Boston before finalizing the sale (because my bank is slow as molasses) but Emily called me periodically and kept me abreast of the situation the whole time. She really went above and beyond to ensure I had a stellar experience, and I couldn't appreciate it more.
Great experience. Scott with service was great - had patience and explained everything fully. Great communication as well. Overall great experience.
Customer service. Doing what needed to be done, no more. Thoroughness.
I originally went into this dealership to seek help. I purchased a used Saab and the dealer that sold it to me wasn't really that knowledgeable with the inner workings of Saabs. I figured I would get my questions answered from someone that knew something about Saabs. As I entered the dealership I could tell I wouldn't receive good service, but I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt. There were pictures of multiple generations of Saabs on the walls, so I figured the whole interaction would be quick. Upon entering, the 2 two employees that were standing around talking stopped and asked how they could help me. I stated that I recently bought a used Saab and had a couple of questions. One guy walked away and the other one said he would see if anyone could help me. ( Note: the showroom was empty) Shortly after that the younger guy came back and said no one was available and asked me if I could come back next week. I had two questions that could've been quickly answered. When I told him I would have to go elsewhere to get my questions answered, he wished me luck and walked away. That young man and his older partner basically sized me and decided I wasn't worth the time. Too bad, because my wife really likes the XC90 and I always had good experiences at Mitchell VW...but we will go elsewhere to make that purchase. I will also go to social media to let everyone know of my experience today. Horrible customer service!
Service Adviser, Dennis Murphy, was very professional and went the extra mile to provide exceptional service for me. I especially appreciate, the complementary diagnosis and the efforts of the technicians to verify my concerns, the shuttle service and the bagels and cream cheese.
I just had my S80 Volvo serviced and as always am very pleased with the result. There are not too many dealers you can say that about! Dennis goes the extra mile to provide great service. Thank you Dennis and team!
The service is excellent went in to get air because couldn't get it right at no air pump around they took me in right away and took care of me very quickly
love them in general. Unacceptable wait to check-in and then 35' for the car to be taken in.
My experience with Mitchell Volvo has been unpleasant and rather frustrating. They asked me to leave a review. OK, ask and ye shall receive. I inquired online about a used vehicle on August 21, 2018, a 2010 XC60 T6. I received a call two days later from Alan. I mentioned that my credit wasn’t the greatest and that I had filled out the online credit application. He said the finance manager’s wife just had a baby, so he probably hadn’t looked at the application. That’s understandable, I have a 10 year old son. The next day I was told that I was approved. So we talked about me coming to look at the car on Saturday, the 25th. And this is when communication seemed to falter. I didn’t hear back from Alan about looking at the car on Saturday, so I left him a message Saturday morning. He never called back. I got a call the next day, from Dominic, on Sunday, Aug 26, about verifying my employment. That was fine. The next day, Dominic called me to tell me that I needed a proof of employment letter from my employer. OK. I emailed him at 5:30 pm that day to let him know that the proof was faxed. I never got a reply, so I emailed him the next morning, Aug 28, at 7:06 am. He never responded. I called Dominic’s cell phone that afternoon. I got through and asked if he got the employment letter. He said that he saw my email the day before, after he had left work, and that “I’m off today”, so he didn’t know if the fax was there. OK, so he couldn’t send me a quick email or text the night before to let me know that he had left? So he said that he would call the dealership to see if the letter was there and they’d call me back. No one called me back. I found out they were trying to get a loan for $13,604. The vehicle was listed for 11,300. Tax and registration brings it to 12,200. At this point, I sent an email to Alan and Dominic saying that if they couldn’t take 1000 off that final price, I’d go elsewhere. I also mentioned that I didn’t expect a response, because they were the most unresponsive dealership I’ve ever dealt with. That got their attention. The next morning I got a call from Kyle (I don't know who he is) and Dominic. They told me they got the loan down to 12,800, which actually had nothing to do with my email. After I bought the car, I got a letter from the finance company that we went with, saying they wouldn’t approve the 13,600, but they would approve 12,800. Mitchell Volvo decided to do that, which was good on their part. On the 29th, I added the vehicle to my insurance. They emailed the documents to Dominic. I texted him that afternoon to let him know that he should've received them. He never replied. The next morning, I left a message on Kyle’s voicemail, asking if they received the insurance documents. He never called back. Ok, I’m getting pretty frustrated by this point. That afternoon, I got through to Dominic and he said they got the documents. Why couldn’t they let me know the day before that they received them? We made an appointment for 8:30 am, Aug 31 to look at the car. We bought it. The day I bought it, I popped the hood and found something in the engine bay. It was the battery cover. All the tabs are broken off of it, so it doesn’t stay on. Before I took the test drive with Alan, we popped the hood and looked at the engine. I didn’t realize the battery cover wasn’t on, but he should've. I wasn’t too worried about it, it costs about $32 with shipping to get a new one. So then, on Sept 1, the day after I bought it, the check engine light came on. P0172, bank 1 system too rich. Great. I made an appointment for service and talked to Dominic. He said if it’s safety related, they pay for it. So if it’s not, I guess I pay for it. Then this morning I checked the air filter and found that one of the screws for the air filter cover was unscrewed. I was finished with Mitchell Volvo at that point. If that is the level of quality and attention to detail that I can expect from that service department, I’ll never go there. My entire experience has been awful and I’ll make sure the world knows, for the rest of my life.
Outstanding service. Could not be happier with the quality of the service, the value, the personal attention and quick response. I deal mostly with Rick and could not be more satisfied. My wife gets the same kind of outstanding professional service. Rick is consistantly outstanding.
Don’t buy a used car here; they won’t stand behind it. This was present when we purchased the car. When the tire pressure light came during the test drive Elaine assured us it would be checked out. Apparently it was not. I understand even the best mechanics can miss things, but when they do I expect them to stand behind their product.
The staff was pleasant and professional. They alerted me to the need that I had to have my radiator flushed and new coolant added. They fixed my rear wiper at no charge. Being a musician, I especially enjoyed the opportunity to play the grand piano in their showroom while I waited.
I have been a customer of Mitchell Volvo/Saab for 14 years and have always had excellent service on my cars. I take all of my cars there for service.
Always get top-notch service here on my car. The staff are helpful, the communication excellent and they stand by their work. Buying my car there was a pleasant experience and that has continued with the service department.
People were great. Did not feel like they were pushy and just after a sale. They were very helpful. Would buy from them again gladly
Great dealership
Far and away the best new car dealership experience I have had in decades. Jeff Schmahl is a good and honest man and was respectful, courteous, and helpful. I am very pleased with the Volvo that I purchased and, in the future, will look for a way to buy from him.
I normally fix my own vehicles and I am very leary to take anything to the dealer because of past experiences. Without question Ryan Williams (service Manager) and his staff have giving me the best exprience I have every had with any type of dealer service. The quote was detailed, the car was delivered a head of when I was told it would be ready and for less then quoted. This is not to mention that a "loaner" was waiting when I arrived to drop off my car. Extremely Happy!
Sales Associate Alan Selinger was great to work with and patient with all my questions. Buying a pre-owned car can be a challenging experience but the Volvo team prepped the car so it met all required specs and it was in mint condition. I look forward to sharing my experience with people who live within and outside of the Hartford market.
I've been going to Mitchell Volvo since I moved into this area over 3 years ago and they have taken great care of me during that time. Volvo is my vehicle of choice and I couldn't have found a better dealership than Mitchell Volvo.
Angela was amazing from the beginning, very professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating. My wife and I were very impressed with the whole experience. Dominick was great as well. I can’t speak for the new car itself or dealer service center yet as we have yet to pick up the vehicle, but up to this point I would highly recommend Mitchell Volvo!
Genuine staff committed to forming a relationship with their clients. Rob and Ozzie worked with me to find the car I wanted within our ideal budget. No pressure purchase, no games, just a pleasure to work with them.
Truly excellent service. The best and most experienced group in the industry.
Buyer's Beware....Very disappointing dealership. I just recently purchased and new 2014 XC90 from them and was not pleased with their sales department. Two day after purchasing the car, I emailed my sales rep with questions and did not receive a response back for 4 day only after I emailing the sales manager. UNACCEPTABLE!! I had a question of what options actually came with my car. My husband and I were told by the sale rep that the car we purchased came with the Blind Spot Sensors, the main reason we spent the extra 2K, and it doesn't. I've emailed the sales rep as well as the sale manager about this issue several times. Surprisingly I never got a response from the sales manager and my sales rep keeps avoiding the issue. From my experience with this dealership, once you sign on the dotted line they don't care about you anymore. I will definitely NEVER go back to them and will not recommend them to any of my friends or family.
This was an easy and stress free experience for us. We highly recommend.
I had my 2013 Volvo serviced and had a great experience. We don't live in the area; about 45 mins from Simsbury; we have a Volvo dealership closer to our home, but they have not been very kind, helpful and trustworthy as Mitchell. It was a pleasant experience. I recently fractured my ankle, and they were very helpful with assisting me to wait for my S60 in their waiting area. I have had Volvo's since 1975 and will continue to own Volvo's and Mitchell has become my dealership for servicing and purchasing my Volvo's. Very kind and relaxed environment. Excellent service! If you are seeking a Volvo dealership that is truly genuine, knowledgeable and most of all trustworthy; look no more, it is Mitchell Volvo of Simsbury,, CT
The entire experience was super. Very happy we drove 2.5 hrs to Mitchell Volvo...worth the drive. Beautiful vehicle, very fair on our trade as well. I would recommend Mitchell Volvo anytime.
I bought my used Volvo a year ago and have had several minor issues. The Torrington service garage has closed recently so when there was an issue with the computers I had to bring it to Mitchell Volvo. After 2 hours waiting for a diagnosis they let me know the issue and that the part had to be ordered. They asked me to please bring the car back the following week. I asked for a lender car for the weekend since my car wasn't working correctly (its under warranty) and they gave me one. I then mentioned to the young man at the service desk that a strange metal on metal sound was coming from the front driver side and if they could look at that while my car was there, I'd appreciate it. The following week I returned to pick up my car and the initial computer problem had been fixed but the metal on metal sound had not. I asked the same young man if it had been inspected and he didn't remember me asking him to do that but realized only then that this particular problem is a recalled part and he let me know I could bring it again next week. Needless to say, I haven't returned to Mitchell Volvo bc of this misunderstanding and do not think I will either. I did tell the young man several times the first time I was there I lived over an hour away and had to take off work part of the day to get there so I would have appreciated everything being done at once. He was extremely unfriendly and seemed to be annoyed with me from the beginning and I feel that is why he didn't try to help with the recalled part in the first place.
While I'm sure others had good experiences with the Sales Staff, I simply was not at all impressed and actually found them to be a bit arrogant. Window prices were extremely high on their used vehicles and well past NADA values.
Service as prompt, courteous and the people in the waiting area/showroom were very patient and kind with the kids.
Our family has purchased 4 Volvos here and have always been treated well. The service department is candid, honest, and friendly. Sales department doesn't push for every feature on the chart, although obviously they're still in it to make money. Their auto body shop has done 5 repairs between my family and friends, you can't tell there was ever any damage (and one was smashed pretty badly).
Never take your car in for repairs here. I had just taken the car in for 2000 dollars in repairs and the next day it overheated! Then I had to pay to have it towed back out to them so they could charge me more money! They took advantage of my father and I's lack of expertise, fixing unnecessary items while ignoring others. Do not take your car in here for repair!
Here is a copy of the email I sent to the manager, which I got no response from: "I have been trying to purchase a vehicle from your dealership and it has proven to be very stressful and unpleasant situation. As the Sales Manager, I wanted you to be aware of my experience. I had been shopping for a 2012 S60 T6 for a few weeks and visited many Volvo dealerships throughout Connecticut. I made an appointment with your Sales Associate, Alan, on Saturday, September 26 to look at stock number T1963, already knowing I planned to purchase the vehicle. Alan was a knowledgeable salesman and answered all of my questions. After a test drive, I sat down with Brandon to take care of the paperwork. I provided him with my current 10-day payoff and preapproval letter from my lender, which should have made this process as smooth as possible. I was comfortable with the asking price, $19,986 and chose to add a CPO warranty plan. Brandon also told me that a second key would be made. Before signing the buyers order, I alerted Brandon to the typo he made in my address and he assured me it would be rectified before forwarding to my lender. I left the dealership happy, being told I would be able to pick up the car on Monday. When I got home, the loan documents were already in my email. I signed them immediately and was advised by my bank that I would have the check in hand on Monday. In your defense, my lender failed to communicate with me that the incorrect address was used on the buyers order, holding up the loan funding until Tuesday. However, your finance department also failed to notify me of this delay. I called the dealership Wednesday, with check in hand, to let them know I would be on my way to finalize the sale, only to be told that the key hadn’t come in yet and I wouldn't be able pick up the car. After not hearing from anyone within your dealership, I called Thursday afternoon asking to speak to Alan. He then told me the key had come in and been programmed but was now lost. Very frustrated at this point, I asked Alan if I could sign the documents and take the car, you could mail the key when it was found. Alan advised me that was a possibility, however both Lou and Brandon are out and no one is available to take care of the loan documents. It, now being Friday, has taken almost a full week to finalize this sale. Being that I had pre-approval and had no hesitations in regards to asking price of the car, I am shocked that what should have been an easy sale has become the most difficult. Even more disheartening, your sales team has made no attempt to reach out to me at any point in this process. I have had to initiate all contact. I do not appreciate being made to feel that my time is not valuable to you. This being my third Volvo, I am no stranger to the car buying process and have found this to be the worst. I hope that you may be able to remedy the lack of communication and professionalism within your sales team to ensure a better experience for future customers. I have spoken with Alan this morning and he has advised me that we will finally be able to close on the sale this afternoon. I am very hopeful that the car will be ready and that all of my concerns addressed. "
This place is terrible. You will what for some time and have tons of hidden prices and fees added after they tell you this is the final price. Additionally they do not stand by there word and will continually use the line “oh they misspoke”. If at all possible go to another dealership.
My experience with Mitchell Volvo has always been exceptional. The staff are all very customer oriented and value their customers. I am extremely satisfied with my new Xc90 and the service they provide to my new vehicle. I highly recommend Mitchell Volvo.
Great experience with regular service visit
Single mom with three children, and my youngest is Autistic. Have owned three Volvo's and one Saab and this is my third Volvo even after a horrendous experience with the XC90 T6 transmissions back in the 2005 model. Bought a 2015.5 v60 wagon. Seemed fine until our first long trip to Rochester, NY for a family funeral. Went to pull into Rt 495 traffic and put foot on the gas, car didn't move! Pressed the gas hard and it banged into gear-hard! My 87 yr old father and autistic son were in the car and we almost got broad sided! Brought it into service, was asked if I had the ebrake on, um NO. Found out after demanding to check the engine, there was a full transmission failure code! Shocker! Ever since that was fixed last month, the gear shift is much looser. Then took my Autistic son on a trip two weeks later at the end of July and backing up, car jumped into neutral and has had a hard shift, lag when pressing the gas, and then bangs into gear. Just picked up again from Mitchell's and was told nothing is wrong! I pray, pray that my son and I don't get hit, pulling into traffic is a nightmare with this car. My palms sweat and I wait like a 90 yr old to ensure no cars are within sight-don't ever pull out if a car is coming-it's a DEATH WISH! Wish Mitchell would stand by their products more, not demean people, and not leave grease marks all over a brand new cars seat and kick plate interior after driving it for three days. Grease and tan leather don't mix. I paid enough for this vehicle, and they can't be respectful???????????? 08/27/16- Ozzie in Sales is trying to help-we'll see what he can do. Bumping up to two stars for trying. 09/17/16-Thank you for the reply, Ozzie. Picked vehicle up last night, Volvo Rep found no issues. Went to wash the car after picking up my Autistic son and found many slightly deep scratches on the car that were not there when I dropped it off. Got home after car wash and have oil blow back all over drivers lower side of car. Sent Brandon pics in email of scratches and oil blow back. Back for another appointment. Put car in gear and hear the bang into gear, not normal.
Scot, represented well from beginning to end, despite a several hundred dollar difference in the amt we thought we spent.
Another great service appt. The team at Volvo care about the car and about me. Sloan was extremely helpful and accommodating. He was able to answer all of my questions and help me get the best care for the car. He never pushes unnecessary service options and always tried to help. I completely trust the team
On time, smooth transaction, good price.
Everyone at Mitchell Volvo was professional and easy to work with; calm and pleasant in demeanor. My wife and I knew what we wanted, and the sales staff worked with us to ultimately drive away with what we came in to buy. From sales to financing, we felt we were working WITH the team, as opposed to the team trying to 'work' us. A Volvo is not what I would consider to be a commodity automobile, that is, one that people would use to shop against similar products from other manufacturers with the goal of buying value on 4 wheels with power windows. Most people, like us (young safety-conscious couple looking to start a family) dont go to a Volvo dealership because they want a car, but because they want a Volvo. That perhaps makes your job a bit easier if you are the one charged with selling the Volvos, but at any rate, it made for an experience that felt much more like a business-to-businesses consultative sales process than the typical pushy act you get at the 'commodity car' establishments. I've already recommended Mitchell Volvo to my mother, whose dirt road-beaten Saab has seen its better years.
Everyone is friendly and helpful - they are wonderful
Great experience, jeff and ozzy were great!
This was a standard 175000 mile service. I knew I was getting close to needing rear brakes and rotors and I ended up having them installed at this service Scott was excellent to trying to say me as much money as possible with different credit vouchers that I had but it still was a lot of money. Everything went well and it was a pleasing experience.
Great people, great service. Very professional and knowledgeable as well. I've been to all Volvo dealerships in the area and this is by far the best. Definitely coming back!
Have had several Saabs over the years and now have only one, but whenever we need service, Rick has been great in taking care of our needs. He has been very accommodating regarding timing and getting the issue taken care of effectively. The costs on maintaining these cars has never been inexpensive, but we have known that from the time we purchased the vehicles. We have had only very positive experiences with Mitchells over the years.
Great Experience A+ service
I am very pleased with my new Volvo and our experience at Mitchell Volvo was superb. Chris our salesman was extremely helpful before and on the day we picked up our car. Our sincere thanks to all of the Mitchell staff who provided support to us.
Service was done while we waited. Facilities and staff were great. Service was completed quickly and car was returned cleaned and ready to go. Mitchell does a great job.
Mitchell Volvo made my car buying experience a very positive one. Straight forward talk, no pressure and good listeners! My least favorite thing in the world is buying a car but Christopher and the rest of the staff made it a lot less painful for me. I felt like it was a team effort. Many people, even those not directly involved with the transaction, were around just trying to make me feel comfortable. Oh! And the XC90 is phenomenal! The technology is awesome. It will be fun discovering all its features. Don't hesitate. Go buy one.
I edit this report yet again. Kyle initially was unresponsive. Then a “crm issue” was the cause allegedly. On 10.28 he advised he would follow up the next day. It’s 11.1 and I’ve not heard a word. Sadly it’s overpromise and under deliver.
Sales group was very helpful and knowledgeable
Very friendly and professional the new facility is great an enjoyable experience
Over the last 25 years I have purchased / leased over 15 vehicles. I recently leased a 2019 Volvo XC40 from Mitchell Volvo of Simsbury. I just want to take a minute to rate my experience. Jeff assisted me through the process, and I cannot say enough about Jeff! He is a man of honor and integrity, who went above and beyond and indeed exceeded my expectations. By far, this has been the best customer experience I've ever had. YOU ROCK JEFF!
Mitchell Volvo is a great dealership. All The staff and Service are very knowledgeable and friendly and the parts department is connected to service by one door. If you need parts any questions they are also very knowledgeable especially Matt Iacobucci , very friendly and Is so knowledgeable on these Vehicles you think he was actually borne and raised by borne in a Volvo.
Great experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and easy buying process.
I had a service need arise unexpectedly late on a Friday afternoon, Brandon (Service Manager) made arrangements to provide a loaner, even went and gassed it up himself. Great customer service.
They're very honest - only doing necessary work, and also willing to help me, who doesn't know cars very well.
I would’ve gave Mitchell Volvo a five Star rating because I always love using them and they take very good care your vehicle and it is always clean when you get it back. They do a nice job no matter what you’re having done to the vehicle. The only problem that I have now is that they close the Torrington Connecticut store and it’s over an hour drive for me to go Simsbury. I do understand the reasoning for the closing of the Torrington facility. This was my first time at Mitchell in Simsbury, the staff were very accommodating and as always Mitchell Volvo is a class act.
Thank you for making time on same day I called and resolving the issue right away.
Great service and all the service techs I dealt with were very helpful, pleasant and happy to answer questions.
Great customer service
Chris was welcoming, extremely knowledgable of the product, and was very patient with my many questions! The process of purchasing our new car was east from the beginning to end. Will definitely be returning!
Great dealership where everyone goes above and beyond in helping the customers! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a solid reliable dealership.
Scott in service is always so pleasant and helpful.
Very helpful sales team. Bought a very nice preowned vehicle.
Painless experience. Very professional and up front. I traveled 125 miles to pick up this car when there were dealerships much closer to me.
Buying a car is always stressful.... But the sales staff there was courteous and professional throughout the process. I was not there to buy a new Volvo or any other high dollar vehicle... I was buying a 13 year old Jeep and they still provided a great customer experience.
Thank you for the amazing service. Mitchell Saab is top notch.
My family and I have always loved buying cars here. But after a recent incident with the Mitchell Volvo's General Manager Kyle Skiba we will no longer be purchasing vehicles from them. Kyle has not returned any of our calls in regards to a vehicle that we recently leased from him. My family and I have been calling Kyle for over 3 and a half weeks. With not a single call back from him. This is very sad because of Kyle's lack of professionalism and customer service we as well as family and friends will not be purchasing from the whole Mitchell auto group. The worst part of this is that we were looking for another car on top of the brand new Volvo we received. I hope that maybe posting this will help someone from Mitchell will reach out. And for Kyle, I sincerely hope that you are able to understand what you have done.
Amazing service! Impeccable staff! Absolute pleasure to deal with. I’m a very satisfied VOLVO customer.
I have never dealt with the Mitchell Volvo team before however during my recent car search they were top notch on responsive and customer service. Even during a very strange request Kyle was responsive and helpful where other dealers may have been not. Thank you team!
Repaired on time on budget
Brought my S80 to Mitchell Volvo's car care event on May 5th. They did a very through review of the car and made a few suggestions. Loved the new showroom.
Scott in service and Matt in parts were very helpful and professional.
Impressive service platform. Willing to talk about service needs with the same level of genuine interest in the car and customer that one experiences when buying the car. I would not have my vehicles serviced anywhere else. Top notch professionals and super nice folks ready to help. Awesome from Mgt thru the ranks. Thank you.
Rene Mitchell I met at a golf function remembering a fallen hero. Rene is easy to talk to and I'm very pleased with his attention to detail and professionalism. You can tell the family business cares.
Thank you for fitting us in and discovering the nit in the a/c condensate line just as we were leaving for Florida. We are on the road now and everything is working perfectly. We have owned numerous Volvo’s as you know and we have always been happy with your service
Excellent experience from start to finish. The dealership is absolutely stunning! The staff from sales, to finance and service were very accommodating and knowledgeable. I truly enjoyed my purchase experience, and would highlight recommend them to anyone.
Mitchell is an outstanding dealership. The purchase process is carefully constructed and you’re going to be taken care of. If any of the sales staff does ask you to pay a little more for a service, they will carefully explain options and answer any questions you may have. Also Volvo’s are simply amazing cars. Wouldn’t recommend another dealership or car, test drove several recently.
The deal was everything they said it would be and the transaction was fast and thorough. Great experience
Great experience. I knew what I wanted I came in and the car I wanted had sold. The sales manager and manager worked with my husband and I to find something that would still give us what we wanted, while staying in our price range. They gave me a great deal on my trade in and i could not refuse. I will recommend Mitchell to anyone looking for a Volvo or Volkswagen. Great service!
Great experience! The staff was very helpful and friendly.love the new Volvo!
They’ve always done a great job. Good people.
The service department is great. Dennis and the service team really went out of their way to get my problem looked at and fixed in no time.
I can not say enough about my car buying experience at Mitchell Volvo. The entire team was so helpful and went out of their way for me. Usually buying a car is a painful process but it was anything but here. This is the second Volvo I've purchased from Mitchell and I would highly recommend them.
I now regret June 22, 2018 the day I purchased my first Volvo, a 2016 S60 Cross Country Platinum. The sales experience was pleasant., hence the 1 star rating, otherwise it would be a no star rating. The problem started soon after the sales agreement was signed. As I was exiting the dealership, the sound, which had been working during the test drive, was no longer working. The sales team tried feverishly to fix the problem to no avail. The service center was about to close, so I drove home in silence. I returned the next morning wondering if I'd made a huge mistake. The salesman assured me that it was just a fluke. A few weeks later, the sound was working, but the passenger floor area was flooded with water. I spoke to the GM about my concerns, he was dismissive and seemed annoyed that I was upset by such a 'minor problem'. He said they would 'do me a favor' by fixing the problem. I guess he forgot about the 60 Day warranty as well as the extended warranty that I'd purchased. Really? What was the favor? Fixing a car that I'd only owned for 4 weeks didn't seem like a favor. The problem was an acorn stuck in a drain tube. The service center taped the acorn to my invoice. Not classy! The GM asked if I'd parked in area with falling acorns! WTH? I lost it & explained to him that I bought the car in the SUMMER and there aren't any ACORNS falling in June/July in CT!! I told the service center rep that I would never return to Mitchell for routine maintenance! On Sept 25, I was back at Volvo, but this time Gengras in East Hartford. Why? The passenger floor area was FLOODED again. I gave Peter, the service rep, my invoice w/the acorn still attached. After fixing the drain tube, Gengras found that the sound was no longer working & couldn't find evidence of the new sound module that Mitchell claimed to have installed. In addition, the passenger seat that had been removed to 'fix the drain' was missing bolt, which Mitchell also replaced. Unbelievable! Not only was my service experience at Mitchell awful, it was inadequate!! I will never set foot nor recommend anyone do business with Mitchell Volvo! I owned a VW Passat for 11 years and never had to return the car to repair the same problem and was never treated as an annoyance by any of the managers.
Excellent customer service, quality new and used cars. Always a great experience.
Scheduled an appt for service because of a check engine light. Was told upon arrival that they would check it out while I waited. More than two hours later was told that I needed to schedule an appt. to have the necessary work done. Because there were no loaners available at that time I left with the same problem I started out with after wasting close to 3 hrs. of time. I have never had a problem with service prior to this but I do now wonder if the quality of service at this location has degraded.
Mitchell Auto Group is fantastic! I could not be happier with the service I have gotten there! They go "the extra mile" for their customers! My 2015 Volvo XC60 needed to go into the body shop for a minor repair and I was loaned a brand-new 2017 XC60 to drive. what a NICE car this is!! Thank you Mitchell Auto Group!!!
Very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely one of the better dealer interactions I’ve had. Come informed for best experience
Sales staff was knowledgeable about the product, everyone was pleasant to deal with.
Bottom Line: Don't go here - service is terrible! Volvo service could not fix my XC90, but after keeping my car for a week, (offering me no loaner vehicle) they charged me $363.72 for doing nothing. Backstory: I had the car towed in because it wouldn't start. They misdiagnosed the problem, could not fix it and so I had to have the car towed somewhere else to get it fixed. But they still charged me $363.72, and now they are just ignoring my requests for a refund, despite the photographic proof I have. Details: On July 15, 2013 we had our 2004 Volvo XC90 towed by AAA into Mitchell's, because it would not start. The service department kept our car for a week, but only spent three hours looking at it. We were charged $363.72 but they did not fix the car, and they told us they had no idea how to fix the car. Mitchells diagnostics said that fuel injector signal and timing was okay and all in specification. We had to have it towed to another shop. It turned out the valves were bent because the timing was off and the belt tensioner was loose or broken which caused the problems in the first place. These were not found inspection by Mitchell mechanics. The engine ended up needing to be completely replaced. We spoke with the new customer service manager, Ryan Williams, who was not in charge of this department during the week Mitchells had our car. Ryan has been stringing us along for a month and has just told us that he would not help us. Given the gross oversight given the gross mis-management we are asking for a refund of $363.72.
Mitchell always provides professional and efficient service- along with a sense of caring and partnership. I was first provided a quick diagnosis with an expedited drive by Walter, a technician. Rick Paparella qb's my service and everything was resolved as per promised. Could not ask for anything more. And I am also appreciative of Skip Irwin on the auto body end who was most helpful in the coordination of my problems. Thanks everyone.
