I graduated two weeks ago and was looking to get into my very first car without breaking the bank, so I dealt with Charlie and Walter and they were both outstanding. Charlie made the process so quick and easy, I saw a car I really wanted and I took delivery the next day on my first car. Walter went above and beyond to get me approved for the car I wanted and made sure I had everything I needed and wanted with it. Charlie was very good at explaining the entire process to me and it took a lot of the stress off me! I would definitely recommend Hoffman !

In October I hit a deer and you all did the repairs. Now that the weather has gotten warmer I tried the air-conditioner and it wasn’t working I got hot air so I brought it into you all to check out and I was told that the condenser was cracked. Your servicemen put coolant in the condenser and said that it would work for a week or so but when I left your shop I tried the air conditioner again and again it was hot I had to pay him 240.00 for nothing. Although my estimate said a condense was replaced with the repairs I question the validity of that. So I paid you 240.00 to tell me the condenser is cracked. No way am I going to pay you another thousand to repair it.

Not so happy at the moment. Very disappointed. Picked up New Fusion Thursday evening. Now it has 175 miles on it (Sunday) and it’s dead in the driveway. EPAS system failure. Now starts a journey I had no intentions of going on with a brand new car.

My wife and I came in to upgrade from our 2014 F150 to a 2018 F250. The truck is her daily driver and used for trailering our horse on the weekends. Most sales reps ignore my wife and try to talk to me instead. We worked with Richie G. and he showed my wife the respect she deserved, which was really import to me. Aside from that, we were given a great price for the truck we wanted as well as more than we expected for our trade. This is our second truck from Hoffman Ford and it definitely will not be our last.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. The long version of my experience are below. The short of it; rude, not knowledgeable, and management that does not seem to care. I called ahead to make sure the car I wanted to look at was still available and to schedule a test drive for it. They assign Nicole as my Sales Associate. Upon arrival, it was very clear that she knew extremely little about the car. Instead of just saying she didn't know the answer to my questions and that she would find out, she tried to lie her way through it. During the test drive, she continued to mention that the 2017 NEW (yes new) car was being sold the the "used" price. I say "used," because they were pricing out at $18,799 on their site. Upon them adding all of their fees and such, the total came out to close to 22k. For another 1k, I could get the 2019 of that car. Also, to add insult to injury, I had done research before going there and did double check the numbers while I was waiting for her to price things out. She used car price on KBB was $14k - the high end of $16k. When I mentioned that I would not pay more than $18,500 for the car, she said she would try to get the price lower. She came back and offered $600 less than she previously offered. At that point, my boyfriend chimed in and informed her that we would not buy the car for anything more than $18,500. Apparently that angered her, because she became quite rude after. She flat out said, "Then what was the point for you coming here? What were you expecting?!" My boyfriend told her we were expecting a fair market price. She said she would try one more time to get the price down, but returned and offered the same price she did previously. My boyfriend and I told her that's fine, we still will not do anything more than $18,500. We left. She called me the next day to try to talk more about seeing if I would be interested in the car for the price she previously mentioned. I told her no, I already went with another dealership and a different car. I went to the wonderful sales people at Executive Nissan in North Haven. It was beyond marginally a better experience as a whole there. On a side note, I did call and leave her manager a voicemail. He did not deem it necessary to reach back out to a lost customer.

Incompetent parts department order wrong part even after I provided them with a correct number. Seth Booth needs training on how to deal with customers. Old and new as well as in-house financial system to process returns. Took ONE WEEK to discover that he couldn’t process a return internally. Had to send a check (ONE WEEK!) This department lacks compassion in dealing with me as a new customer. I can assure you that I will NOT be a returning customer!

From buying a new vehicle to having your vehicle repaired, this is the place to go. My wife and I bought a new Ford Edge with Wes LaValley’s help and were so happy with our experience we came in a week later to buy my new work van. The sales team here at Hoffman were excellent. No pressure and helpful with selecting the best vehicle for your situation. The icing on the cake was our first service experience. Aside from the fact that your first visit is free, our new Edge had what appeared to be an oil leak. Despite the fact that they were booked solid for the next few weeks, they had my wife come in on the day I scheduled my van for its first service and were able to squeeze her in to take a look. Turned out to be nothing more than a little residual oil from the oil change they did on her first visit (which again, was Free!). Seth Booth, one of the service consultants, brought us in and it was like chatting with an old friend. Their top of the line service department features a “Drive right in” style service garage which was great considering it’s 30 degrees outside!! Once my wife’s vehicle was ready they pulled it right up the the door from the very cozy waiting area with free sodas and refreshments and she was on her way. We are very pleased and will continue to get our vehicles service here! Thanks Hoffman!!!

Literally the worst experience I have ever had with a service department. I deleted my first 1 star review for this place because I felt guilty for being so honest. I will not be deleting this review and will be in contact with Ford directly about my experience. I brought my car in beginning of November to get my sunroof closed (opened up on its own and would not close). Not only did they not answer my calls, they had my car for nine days and did not even bother to look at it until day 8 when I finally got in touch with my advisor. After all of that, I got my car back and found water all in my center console and my back seat was soaking wet and full of water. When I reached out they said “oh that’s too bad” and that they would get back in touch with me to get my car detailed. Never did. I didn’t pursue it because I was trying to be understanding that they were busy. Now a month and a half later, I look in my back seat and water is leaking from the sunroof and there is water all over my back seat. When I called (I had to call twice for someone to answer) I explained the situation to the man who answered the phone and he sarcastically says “well I guess that sounds like you need to make an appointment.” I have never been more offended. I understand things happen, I understand everyone is busy, but when I pay for service I should be treated with respect. Do not recommend this place AT ALL.

My husband and I went in there Saturday 6/1/19 and dealt with Charlie (salesman) and Mike (sales manager). Charlie spoke us like we were stupid and was completely condescending and RUDE! We were ready to buy a $44K truck, but apparently him and his managers aren't into negotiating until after they insult you and you leave. Never again. ***UPDATE**** Directly after I wrote this review, I then e mailed the Managaer Walter..... who wrote such a caring and concerned response below................. interesting, considering he never responded to my e mail... A couple months back when I went an oil change took 2 hours. I came back because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and this time it took 3 hours for an oil change and I had an apointment both times. I filled out the paperwork at hour 2 and then waited another 40 minutes for my car to be run through the wash. No apologies for the time delay as if it usually takes that long and a smug service guy saying he was keeping me there because he likes me. Also wasn't told my car was ready and had to walk by while on a phone call and 10 minutes later realize it was my car and not someone elses. Never returning for service again. I will go elsewhere for my other car needs.

The work I sent the car in for did not get completed after being there for 7 days. That was blamed on their vendor. Upon receiving the car back. One wheel was not secured properly and all wheel weights were removed, so I had 4 unbalanced tires. Went to a local firestone to get the job done right. Never going back to Hoffman.

These people are horrible, they don't respond to calls or emails and nothing is ever what they say. Be careful when they promise you a price on a truck and change their mind two days later. Make sure everything is written on the contract and do not take their WORD at all. Everything should be written down and take home a copy.

I’d rate this experience a 4.5. Just the fact that Hoffman will come to my office, pick up the car and leave me a loaner is wonderful! And the work(oil change etc) was done in a reasonable time and the car returned to me all clean was great. The only problem at all was the they were about an hour late in picking up the car. Normally it wouldn’t have been a problem but it cut it close as I had to bring my husband to a doctor’s appointment. Otherwise it would be 5 stars!

Very professional and courteous. Listened to what I wanted on a car. I previously had a Ford Fusion wohich I loved so I decided to get a 2019 . Since I am an older individual I was unfamiliar with the new technology . Thankfully when I brought the car back the other day a salesman named Emerson set up my FordPass connect and walked me through using Maps and other programs on my car . He was patient and wonderful and took as much time as I needed to understand . My salesman Charlie Hartley was just an overall nice individual. We worked out a price we could both live with. This is the third car we bought from Hoffman in 7 years and the second one in five months. Mr Hartley sold us our last two. I find hoffman makes it so easy to buy a car . Sales personnel and finance make everything easy to understand. I am very pleased.

Went in for recent service, great set up, waiting area, and curteous attendants. However, I emailed the service representative and even responded to a follow up text message from the service rep with questions and he completely ignored me. I realize they are a busy shop but I’m not pleased by this treatment. My question was simple and could have been resolved in a two minute email response. I have never really had a positive experience with the service department. Everything always takes longer than expected. And the children's play area smells and appears to have not been cleaned in God knows how long. I have been here for 2 hours for a battery change and recall fix, I was told an hour when I checked in, then was told they were fixing the recall but didn't have the battery available (I had an apt in advance) and agreed to a different one, around 1.5 hours in I wanted an update and was told the service specialist was on break, he returned to tell me that they had to drive and get the battery (no one explained this or that ideas going to add anytime onto the apt) and it would be another half hour. Now it's been over two hours and with my last update forfeited my "free car wash" because I need to leave, so it should only be a "few more minutes".

I walked in pre-approved already made myself a coffee spoke to the manager help raise my vehicle and in less than 30 minutes I was signing papers. This was the fastest car I ever purchased thanks to Huffman and their professional staff this is my second car first one was a used my second was new and experience was always great I recommend Huffman to anybody does looking for a great car new or used and the best part is that even after you drive off they will always be there for you. And I must say they do not stay real tight or discourage anybody I was dressed with slippers PJ's and a hoodie when I walked in there and they greeted me like if I had a tuxedo on.

Beware of the classic bait and switch as well as high pressure salesmanship and bully tactics! When it came time to make the deal that we agreed upon I was told I needed to give an additional down payment that wasn’t agreed upon the sales manager sat down and stared me down with a nasty look saying to sign it . The next day I was called at work and asked how fast I could there because my truck was ready to come get and that they worked it out, so after driving over a hour to get to Hoffman’s it was a totally different vehicle !! Then when I told them I didn’t want to to business I was called 3 more times. Not overly impressed with how it was handled.

Please do not trust a word these people say, starting with Nicole. She may seem like she is sooo nice and innocent and helpful but she has no idea what the hell she is doing and can never make any decisions without asking The Manager. She doesn't return any of your calls and when she does once again she doesn't have the answers to any of your questions and needs to speak to her manager and takes days to call you back. Our truck was suppose to be ready in 14 days we received the truck in 37 days with sooo many lies. Make sure they put the delivery date on your contract because if you choose your not happy waiting for a truck that you need to be able to work and want to go elsewhere you can.

"Driven by trust" and trust they proved and followed up their guarantee on. My sales associate was awesome, friendly, and genuine . I have never been to a poorly run service center, this was my first & last visit. It started when I couldn't speak with anyone to schedule a appointment, so I did it online ( not user friendly) received 2 emails to confirm and a text, then day before got another email starting they rescheduled my appointment from 10:30 am to 9am, I the tryed calling (4 times) no answer left voicemail no callback. Showed up at 9am had no knowledge of me for appointment ( said it happens all the time) took me in said my service for the works would take 1 your. I was there 2 1/2 hrs, when I saw my car was ready I went to service desk I was told I had to wait for my advisor Vincent he was with another customer , then on a call then 29 minutes later I was out the door ( So waited almost 3 hrs for service NEVER AGAIN)

I have had a horrible experience with Lincoln!!! First, I brought my car in last February 2018 to be looked at for a transmission issue. This was not the first time I had this issue and asked them to look at it. They were never able to find anything until I went on a ride with the mechanic and showed him the issue. Second, I was told that my car was repaired and I got it back for a week in April but the issue was not resolved. I was told that I needed to drive it for a week to break it in before I could see the results of the repair. There was absolutely no difference. I may be mistaken but I think this is because I had a new continental as a loaner and they wanted me to bring it back in. Third, ever since I brought the car back for repair I have been told that they are waiting for a tech that can do the transmission work and that they were undermanned and needed to rearrange their schedule to accommodate my vehicle. In the interim, I received 3 loaners... the first, an MKC I believe, which was fine at first but when I had to participate in carpooling for my church I realized it was too small to accommodate anyone in the back seats. The second was a sedan, MKS I believe, which was not cleaned when I got it and I didn’t notice until I went home because I was in a rush. It was so bad I had to bring it back the same day to cave it cleaned. It drove rough and was just a bad experience. The third is the vehicle I currently am driving which is the MKX I believe which is fine and I have no issues with it. Since I got this loaner I have heard little to nothing about the progress of my vehicles repair. At this point it is January 2019 and I feel that I have been sold a lemon and my vehicle, which has about 45,000 miles on it, should not be having issues that take a year to resolve. I believe it is fair for Lincoln to replace my vehicle with one that I am comfortable with.

This is related to the ford service department for routine service. Be prepared to be there much longer than expected and get no updates on your car. When you ask for updates, you get the run around or just ignored. 3 times I have left after having routine service on my car and had to return immediately because sensors weren't reset.

The positive reviews seem to be mostly from the dealership, NOT THE SERVICE. I booked an appointment because I was told I could be in and out quickly in the morning before going to work. I was told that I could get a quick ride to work while I was getting service. All incorrect. I waited a half hour to check in the car, then it was 45 minutes until I got a ride. That was only after I asked for my car back so that I could drive to work. That seemed to hurry them up. They told me about some more issues with my car, quoted me over a thousand dollars. I brought it to Tyrol Automotive in Manchester and they did it for closer to 700. The people were friendly enough though, so there's a star.

I have brought my f150 in 4 times for the same exact recall and now my truck gets water inside every time It rains. They scratched my truck trying to fix the problem said they would take care of it and never did. They always say bring it back in and then make me wait all day and the truck is still not ready. Every time I tried to call I couldn’t even get in touch with a service representative. Tough to keep going back.

HOFFMAN SELLS LEMONS - LOOK AT REPORTS BELOW I bought a turbo diesel truck from Hoffman this summer. On my way home from the dealership after purchasing the truck that day the check engine light came on. Their technicians as well as a third party ford authorized dealer diagnosed the truck to have a engine defect a seized turbo as well as several other things including the braking system and front end. The truck couldn't pass inspection and still hasn't. The General manager Walter Pethick replied to the matter by saying he didn't give a rats a$$ what the technicians had said and wouldn't fix the problem. They stopped answering my calls as soon as I left the lot the day I bought it. "driven by trust" means nothing to these people it is simply a catch phrase don't fall for it. Don't fall for their response that they care about their customers and they want to accommodate them the best the can either. Unfortunately i was a customer and I can tell you personally they wont answer the phone or even call you back. Do business with people who stand behind what they sell not these guys. Hoffman ford knowingly sells vehicles with engine defects that can’t even pass inspection . I bought a ford turbo diesel truck from them in June. Marker lights weren’t working and the truck couldn’t pass inspection twice and still hasn’t. I’ve called Walter Pethick ( general manager) Eric Reese ( sales manager) and both service managers between 40-50 times with no response other than they weren’t going to fix the truck and to come pick it up. Now I have to spend money on an attorney to resolve this issue. Look at the yelp reviews these guys are crooks. They won’t respond to any complaints filed with the BBB or this message because they know that are screwing over a customer that paid a fair price for a truck that has a engine defect and can’t even be driven on the road legally! When I called to get additional paper work I was told they would not give me the paper work and to call their attorney if I wanted it but wouldn’t tell me the name of their attorney. Luckily the Ct department of consumer protection and the Ct dmv consumer protection are stepping in to help. According to them they have many complaints against Hoffman.

I told them what was wrong with my car and they gave me an estimate, they then charged me a diagnostic fee of $130. I asked them to get rid of the fee because they didn't actually diagnose anything and they refused. Also they don't pick up the phone a lot of the time the only way to make an appointment is to show up.

I appreciated the inspection that they gave my car even though I wasn't there for that I was there for a recall. However it was nice to know about other concerns for the car. New Mustang advertised on Hoffman Ford website with a price of $40K plus a few hundred $ more; don't remember the exact price. Salesperson stated the car cost $46k. Later verified price on the web was as I recalled. Sent message to Hoffman website and e-mail to salesperson to refund my deposit. Manager's response was that he would refund my deposit only after I called him. Fortunately some credit card companies have a dispute process in place; request refund from the payee and if they refuse, your account will be credited upon successful completion of the dispute process. Just a word to the wise :-)

I received a recall notice in February to replace my airbags. I called in March to schedule the appointment. I was told they didn't have the part. I then called Lincoln and was given a claim number and told to call the dealer back and give it to the service advisor which I did He took the number and advised me he would call me when the part came in In June after receiving no phone call and receiving 2 more notices my husband called and finally got an appointment for August 22 Unfortunately that is not the end of our experience. I dropped off the car. On August 21st. On August 22 when I heard nothing from the dealership I called at 9:30 to ask how long the job would take so I could make arrangements to get a ride if necessary The person to whom I spoke was very rude and kept telling me the service advisor would call me. I finally got a call from someone at _4 o'clock telling me that the car would not be ready and he would have Enterprise provide me with a car if I wanted one He assured me that the car would be ready the next day. Which it was My complaint is the way I was treated. We bought my Lincoln used the air bag issue was not our fault or the dealership but to treat a possible future customer this way is wrong

I went to this dealer to get a new car with no money down on a lease even though I knew payments were going to be a little higher but I knew my credit was good, for some reason not given I wasn't approved. I contacted Hoffman regarding a possible trade in of my 2015 mustang gt track pack and the purchase of a 2016 Shelby gt350, I received a voice message from Lauren regarding my trade. When I got to Hoffman I asked Nichole (a short heavy set woman) if Lauren was present and she stated, in a rude way, that she thought Lauren had left to be with her kid. I asked he if she could check because I had missed her call because I was at work, she walked into a couple of offices and never came back to let me know if Lauren was present , never asked if there was anything anyone else could help me with and basically avoided me the rest of the time I was there. My wife was looking to purchase a vehicle also and was being helped by a young slender gentleman who went above and beyond to help her but my experience with Nichole was horrible. After avoiding me in the showroom floor of the dealership she went outside and turned on the Shelby and moved two spots over, never came back inside until my wife and I left. The feeling that I got from her was that I was an inconvenience , I was treated like a bum off the street and felt totally disrespected. If sales are down I can tell you one good reason why, the non existence of customer service, my wife and I purchase vehicles every three to five years but I will make sure not to buy form this particular dealership.

Too start of im going to say that this is the type of dealerships that give dealerships a bad name! They performed a oil change on my truck, 4 days later it was leaking oil. Brought it in and they said it was the oil pan. But they were under the truck while doing a oil change and didnt notice a leak? So anyways they fixed the oil pan and also did my frint diff input seal. The bouched both jobs and took my money! I have emailed numerous time and they say they are busy! This has been going on since november! So now i have a gouged dust cover/vibration and a oil leak. Worse then when i brought it there!

Workmanship was poor. Worked on was for an airbag recall and replacement of the passenger side airbag. When I picked the vehicle up, there were greasy fingerprints on the headliner where the work was being done and the dashboard was not reinstalled properly. Dealership corrected it upon request, the dashboard still not properly set.Makes me concerned about the parts of the job that I can’t see.

Would definitely recommend buying a car here. The finance team and my sales lady went out of their way to get me in the vehicle I wanted at a price I could afford. They were so easy to deal with. Only issue I had was I was told the vehicle would be ready at the time I was going in to sign papers, but it ended up still being detailed which took a good 5 hours longer than expected and was only a decent job. Would of rather saved the time spent waiting and detailed myself but it's over now. Other than that everything went smoothly and I don't have any other complaints.

Dropped of our truck here and waited about 20 minutes before service guy even approached me and that was because the nice old man that takes the vehicles said he had to go and try to make eye contact with one of them. I was told it would take all day for service and that if truck was done by end of day they would email me. They said as long as I called in the morning that I would be considered one of the first pick ups, well I called at 7:30 am and I’m sure was one of the first calls since that’s the time they open. They told me the shuttle driver would be calling me right away. I waited an hour an a half and called them. They said they were doing their morning drop offs and that their driver was at Manchester and would call me right away because they were almost done. Another hour passes and I was forced to order an UBER and once I got there I received a call from shuttle driver that he was on his way. Do not make promises you can’t keep. I don’t have the pleasure of sitting behind a computer all day and waiting for a phone call. The worst part was they didn’t even seem to care. I wonder if I was a guy would they have treated me the same way. Horrible customer service here in my opinion .

Saturday was beautiful and I finished my yard work early and said let’s go check out the Ford Explorer I always wanted. So I hoped in my vehicle and drove to hoffman. I dealt with Ritchie, who took one look at me and must have thought, this guy cannot afford this car. He resisted even letting me see the car, resisted letting me drive the car. You could just tell he wanted to get rid of me and try to find someone who was a “more qualified” looking sale in my opinion. He was trying to show me the one on the floor and tried to send me packing. After letting him know MANY times, because he kept reminding me, I know how much these things cost I think he finally heard the annoyed pitch in my voice and was ready to give me some service. After walking around for a few minutes I knew Hoffman was not for me and hoped in my car and left. I am hoping other dealerships in the area will better service me. the lesson is Ritchie, don’t just a book by its cover, because good credit and money I do have. I was there and would have left with a contract, just needed a little education and service and I’m sure the commission would have been worth it

I’ve been dealer servicing my cars for decades, and have used Hoffman dealers for years. I have to say my experience this time was one of the worst ever. Came in for a 120k service. Knew it wouldn’t be cheap, but the up sell was very apparent from the beginning. I raised a specific concern, and was told it couldn’t be addressed. Then, as the service was being performed, they “found” another issue that resulted in another $900 charge. Never a good explanation for anything. Couple that with a shuttle ride that was an hour after when they said it would happen, and the experience was terrible. Attempted multiple follow up, including a direct response from the service advisor, with ZERO follow up. Very disappointing experience at Hoffman Ford.
