Really disappointed in the customer service. Picked a day to drop off my truck to diagnose the problem and make sure they had time to look at it. Went in person and specifically told the service dept. That the truck had to be driving to see the problem. I never received a call and was told when I finally called they were too busy to look at it. Let them keep another 2 days because their transmission guy does not work weekends. Again they never called once to follow up. When I called I was told they started it and the diagnostic machine came back fine. It takes a transmission specialist to start a truck? Pulled my vehicle out and going somewhere else. Should not have trusted a Gates dealer. Only positive is that they didn't try to charge for starting the truck.

Walking into Columbia Ford to buy a car was like walking into your family’s house on thanksgiving. Very well taken care of. Constantly asked if I needed anything, offered coffee, water., something to eat, Advil for my headache, even a job if I wanted to change career paths (haha). Service center was great helped me get my first oil change set up as well as answer many questions I had. I spoke with Ciara she’s a very nice girl. Chuck the mechanic looked over everything on my new car took for a test drive and cleared it for me and also gave me some advice on it’s maintenance. Eric gates most of all made it happen! Him and Timothy basset did what needed to be done to get me into a new vehicle. For that I thank them and they will continue to have my business in the future. Gates gets it done!

I've been researching to buy my first brand new vehicle for about two years. My wife and I finally decided we were ready to pull the trigger. I looked at specials for 2015 focus and Columbia Ford had a great deal advertised on their website. Due to my work schedule, I rolled in without an appointment a little before they closed on a weekday. John Senick was very happy to accommodate me and got me in for a test drive. He was very knowledgable about the car and extremely polite. I knew what car I wanted and how much I was willing to pay and they were ready to match. All of the staff was very professional and friendly. I have spent a lot of time in the past shopping for cars and this was by far my best experience. Very low pressure and laid back compared to other dealers I have dealt with in the past.

Not good. I bought an extended ford warantee to find that damage to vehicle caused by battery corrosion was not covered. On april 9th the car was serviced which according to service document the battery was checked. Positive terminal was not visible when we were going to replace battery due to inches of corrosion. Need i say more.

I went to this place with my wife cuz I was told that I was possibly able to get into a vehicle so I filled up and drove down there thought I was going to get into a truck was happy looking forward to doing business with these people unfortunately got nowhere so I wasted my time my gas and my wife's time just to go down there and talk and do paperwork that hurt was a little upset about that I don't know if I would do business with them if I came up with the cash I have to consider that matter maybe if I went down there with cash I would have got into a vehicle I guess I'll have to wait and see

I bought a Ford Fusion at Columbia Ford last week and it was hands down the best car buying experience I have ever had. The facility is a MUST see. There is no other dealership out there that has the amenities this place has. For example, the decor is awesome, so much to look at. They have a cool waterfall with a Koi pond in it. The receptionist noticed my kids looking at the fish and she brought over some fish food for them to feed them They got a kick out of it. They immediately offered us bottled waters and fresh cookies out of the oven. Im not complaining but, Who does that!!!! They even have a restaurant in dealership that we ate at while we were waiting to sign papers. Bottom line, The people were cool and made buying a car fun for me and the family. Oh yeah, they also gave me 4 free oil changes. God i love free stuff!

So I had a pretty rough experience with the service department on my first trip here. In their defense, two people reached out to me to help understand and correct the issue. I was quite happy with their follow up. I was prepared to give them another shot and update my review to a more positive one as a result. However, the service manager who was supposed to send me some complimentary services, never did so. This probably occurred well over a month and a half ago... So, because of this, I'm downgrading the review even further and I probably would not return to the service department. The parts department, however, was fair and attentive. I cannot speak on sales because I did not deal with them.

Columbia Ford KIA is one of the best dealerships I have ever stepped into! Buying our new truck was a pleasure! Everyone was patient and friendly. Not once when my husband and I were there did we feel pressured, and that says ALOT when you're surrounded by sales people! They have a cute little cafe, INSIDE the dealership, that was yummy and convenient for waiting! A great waiting area for the service dept! A small foot bridge in the middle of the place with a damn coy pond underneath it! And to top if off our sales person made us feel like old friends, not just a quick few dollars in their pocket! Had a Ford serviced there, for a regular servicing event (oil change, tire rotation, ...). This should've been covered as part of the servicing plan, yet they charged almost $100 with no extra repairs; the only thing I asked them about (and took them a while to answer me) and then told them I wanted a different type, was the oil to be filled, at the oil change process. By default it'd have been a semi-synthetic 10w30, having done some research I asked them to fill it with 5w30 full synthetic, which they had - but that doesn't cost almost $100. Next time I'll be bringing my own (they told me how much they'd require to be filled). The servicing process (which has to be scheduled at least a day in advance) was supposed to take about 45 minutes to an hour - it took close to three (3!) hours instead! Initially they said that they had fresh cookies - yet then they said that they were out of those. They did have pre-packaged snacks (not much of a variety, but ok) and bottled water. Lincoln being owned by Ford also, and this dealership advertising Lincoln cars, I looked around at their (fairly small) showroom, yet no Lincoln in sight; same was true for any paper material for that brand of car. So I asked one of the sales people, who then referred me to "their Lincoln specialists", who was on the phone and after he got off, told me that they don't sell Lincolns anymore. Looks like the other sales people didn't get that memo... To conclude: If the wait wouldn't have been more than three times than what we were told, it'd have been a "just ok" experience. But in this case I can't give them more than 2 out of 5 stars.

Allen found the perfect vehicle for us -- a beautiful 2012 Nissan Frontier that met all our requirements! Then Jake in the Finance Department worked over the next day (with Christmas only a few days off) tracking people down to get us financed. What can I say! We were just shopping with no intention of buying before checking out other dealerships. The salesman (Michael) must have been very good since we ended up with a red 2015 Ford Edge after a few hours of talking and driving. We have enjoyed our experience with Columbia Ford for many years now since we have owned several Ford products and only have good things to say about their service department. Overall very displeased. Bought a car from them 5 months later car was in shop for 46 of those days, lots of false promises. After those 46 days the cars left us stranded 3 times now. Extended warranty didnt cover the alternator that died due to the oil leak it had before i bought , so fixed myself. Died again after a ball game , knowing they wont stand by it fixed myself again. Service department always backed up . Only reason they get a 2 instead of a 1 is the sales dept. Nice enough and helpful thru all the issues. But i will not be returning .

They Never return your phone calls, I called the dealership 7 times on day, throughout the day and never heard back. They take your deposit and then don't keep you informed about you car. Would give a zero on customer review if I could. Was looking for an Escape and had the worst experience ever here. My wife went to talk to them and told them to locate a car she wanted and have ready for a few days later. Matt Millici the salesman was very rude to me when I asked a question and quite snippy with an answer. Had nothing ready was going there to work out numbers for a new vehicle. Instead of having the courtesy to call me he let me come there and waste my time. To me having him make calls in front of me was unprepared and not professional at all. Just seems like a bunch of jokers working there. Called to complain to genera manager and couldn't return a phone call. Would highly RECOMMEND GOING TO FORD OF BRANFORD!!!! From the moment you walk in you are greeted very professional staff who are friendly and put the customer first never pushy from salesman all the way up to general manager. They take their time with you. Don't waste your time at Columbia Ford its a big joke.

First and last time I go here for service. My appointment was at 12:30 and they didn’t even take my car in until 1:10 because the employees were at lunch. Which is understandable but if you dont have enough workers for a scheduled services than maybe dont make my appointment for 12:30. Make my appointment when there are actually available workers to do the job. Unfortunately there is no excuse for poor work ethic and hopefully the front desk and/or scheduling personnel can provide better customer service.

We located and found our new Ford Explorer Limited at Columbia Ford, it was over an hour ride, but it was well worth the trip. We test drove the new Explorer, had the easiest sales experience ever and drove the car home that day. Eventhough I havent purchased a vehicle after the harassment , I never would. For almost 2 weeks now everyday Ive told Columbia Ford to stop calling. Yet continuously ignoring my requests to stop calling and they have the wrong number. Idk who Sam is , but youre lucky to have his business because if he got all the calls he probably wouldnt have purchased a truck from you. People dont want to be harassed and pressured when making a purchase like a car or truck. Your staff needs to take a breath. He bought the truck , do you have to call a total of 18x now to make sure he likes it? Obviously he didnt bring it back.

On may 8th my car went in for a black screen. A part needed to be ordered, I was told it would be a couple of days. A week later the part still hadn't come in yet. So I called on the 22nd the part was in maintaince was scheduled for 1030 may 26th. When I arrived they took my car said it would be about an hour or so. 15 minutes later I was told that they had sent the part back the I need to fix my controls screen. I was told that they tried to call my. They called my bosses cell phone, he lives in michigan, I live in Ct. I have no idea how that happened. So the part was sent back because the dealership will get charged for the part it is not sent back with in 30 days. Well it has only been 16 days. Save yourself the trouble, find another service dept.to take your car too.

This place is a complete joke! I went there yesterday 1/23/19 to look at Ford F250s which cost 40k and up. The sales guys were unbelievably ignorant on their product and had NO CLUE what engines were in the trucks they were selling. They kept saying "yeah this has been serviced here all its life" and when I asked to see the service records the sales guy (ryan) prints out a carfax report...... Nice job.. In my 20 years of buying vehicles this has been the worts dealer experience I have every had. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time going there.

Given that I live in Rhode Island, it may seem odd to travel 1.5 hours to get a car that I could have gotten 15 minutes away. However, Columbia Ford came highly recommended and when I gave them information on the exact car I was seeking, within a few days they had located the car, gave me a deal that was unmatched in the market place and followed it up with unparalleled customer service. I was blown away with how different Columbia Ford was from other dealerships that I had interacted with and guess their slogan "Gates Gets It" is more than just a marketing pitch. Matt and Jake were extremely helpful and courteous and the GM, Denny, took time out of his busy day to stop over and say hello. They made getting a new vehicle for me and my wife a very easy and enjoyable experience versus the usual hassle of stressing over whether you got a fair deal.
