OUT OF STATE BUYERS - Be prepared for delay in release To start my experience with RICENBAUGH VOLVO, I could not find a used S90 inventory that I was looking for in the dealerships near me so I widened my search nationwide and found a car with all the options that I was looking in RICKENBAUGH. I left an online inquiry to see if they still have the car and I was contacted by Rick from Rickenbaugh Volvo's used car sales and he confirmed that the car was available (22 Dec 2017). I confirmed that I am interested in buying this car and put in a 500$ deposit to hold the car. I worked with my bank and got the loan approved. I signed all the paperwork required by the dealer which they fedex’ed me and sent them back to the dealership by 1st Jan 2018. As I was out of state i electronically signed the paperwork for the loan for the bank to send the check directly to the dealership which they can deposit. There was some initial confusion around me signing the check so the dealer sent the check back to me and I sent it back to the dealer after confirming with my bank that I should not be signing the check as the check was directly issued to the dealer to cash. Finally on 5th Jan dealer deposited the check and my bank cleared it. Even after providing written confirmation from the bank and that the check has been cleared and will not be pulled back, the dealer refuses to release the car till friday. Nick vice president gave me a call and said they have the fund in their account but they refuse to release till they make sure that the check cannot be pulled because there might be an endorsement issue with the check. Nick called me back on the 12th saying that everything is cleared and the car is released for transport. I am a little disappointed on the delay but happy that everything is cleared and I will have the car soon.

Worse customer service ever. Their excuse was because it Monday, f*** off, that is no excuse to give to their customers. Called three times to get a quote for my Volvo and all three calls I got hang up on. I been trying to speak with someone since last week. Gave my number to one of the Service guys and 4 days after as well no return call. They need people with professionalism, customer service and have core values in place for them to follow. Being busy is no excuse for them not to return my call 4 days and keep hanging up on me for asking for a quote. I do property management, our office is busy as well. When a prospect calls for an apartment quote i don't hang up on the or tell them I'm busy because it Monday and I have reports due, I help them diligently regardless of the piles of reports due.

I believe there is a large disconnect in customer service between their showroom staff and service department at their off site location. We've always had great service at the showroom for small repairs. I know I can get the repairs done else where for less, but I go to Rickenbaugh for the service. from small cracks on inside door handle to side mirror needing replacement I've always taken my work to Rickenbaugh for all my maintenances. I had insurance repair work done at their off site location for collision damage. I explained that a bicyclist hit the side of my car and rolled over my hood so please check everything toughly as this is all covered under my insurance. after the repairs they missed the driver side headlight cover has a stress crack on it. Insurance won't cover it and their service won't honor their work. replacement cover is $550 and I was told if i buy the cover they will do the work free. I am understanding of the fact that people will make mistakes and things will be missed or over looked. However if I notice a mistake same day we should be able to come to a better resolution than hey pay for this thing that they missed out of pocket. entire experience has left a bitter experience in my mind and now I'll just take my business else where from now on.

Best service department, terrible sales people I’ve move around a lot in the last ten years and have been to a dozen different dealerships across half a dozen different brands for service and I have to say this is the best dealership for service I’ve been to. Bringing your vehicle in for service feels like you’re on a conveyor belt where all your questions are answered, all concerns resolved, and you’re out the door without skipping a beat. Every step of the process you’re dealing with people who are not only courteous but deeply knowledgeable. Where this place falls flat is sales. When I brought my ‘16 V60 in for service I wanted to test drive a new V90 while I waited because my wife and I have waited for it so excitedly. The sales person knew virtually nothing of the vehicle and ended up questioning whether I could even afford it. It was an unwarranted amount of snark from a luxury salesperson, given I have a late model vehicle from the same brand and was dressed professionally at the time. Honestly this place gets a 3 for sales and a 6 or 7 (out of 5) for service. As a dealership they’re committed to customer satisfaction and as a brand they’re improving all the time. While it might be a pain to buy from them, just hold your nose, get a good car, and bask in the warmth of a company committed to keeping you satisfied.

They charged me $130 for "diagnostics" which concluded with getting the OBD codes (a 1 minute job) and telling me I needed 2 part replacements totalling almost 4 thousand dollars. I took it to the local shop Swedish Motors in boulder and they did actual work looking into the problems, fixed 2 small issues totalling less than $500, and my car runs perfectly. Rickenbaugh told me to buy a new car or pay 4k for parts that were not even needed. Not to mention they don't communicate well. Edit: Nick reached out to me explaining their protocols as having standards monitored by big Volvo and that they aren't allowed to do some more inexpensive repairs that other shops can. That being said, they admittedly could have misdiagnosed something. I appreciate Nick's time and diagnostics refund.

Technician errors and Service Advisor's excellence. Mark Gorsline has been an excellent Service Advisor on all occasions, including my 10/20/16 service visit. Despite two errors by a technician (failing to reset "My Car" after installing a software upgrade which required me to re-visit the dealership and pinching the O-ring on the oil drain plug when re-installing the plug, which allowed approximately two quarts of oil to drain out in the two hours after I left the dealership and requiring me have my car towed back to Rickenbaugh), Mark was extremely courteous and helpful, telling me and showing me that the technician had not done the re-set and actually doing the re-set for me and providing me with the Volvo Roadside Service phone number for a tow truck, and then arranging for the Rickenbaugh driver to pick me up at home the next morning so I could collect my car from Rickenbaugh. I understand that mistakes can be made, and I hope that the technicians will be more conscientious and careful in the future, but Mark’s professionalism and courteousness were greatly appreciated. My ratings of 4 stars and "9" were simply because of the additional inconveniences I actually did experience due to technician's errors, though Mark did all he could to correct those errors.

I own a Tesla which has proven challenging for body repair, until recently. Last year, I was involved in an accident and had to have my car repaired at one of only two (then) Tesla approved auto collision centers. This time around, I contacted them first and was not even provided the opportunity to bring my car in for a quote. The owner informed me they had “changed their process” for quoting repairs on Tesla’s because it was taking so long to get parts and asked me to email pictures which I did that same day. I didn’t hear back even after emailing to follow up and leaving a message on the owner’s cell phone as instructed by one of his employees. I then contacted an approved repair center near my home which had multiple locations. I went in for a quote and was told that only two of their locations with an aluminum puller, which my repair would require. The service adviser I met with told me the Parker location was months out from being able to repair my car. He said the Highlands Ranch location may be able to get me in sooner and promised to call me after he was able to connect with the manager of that location. Even after leaving a follow up message for that adviser two days later, I still never heard back. To date, I still haven’t heard anything from either center. Enter, Rickenbaugh Collision Center. I called and was able to schedule a visit to obtain a quote right away. Luckily, this repair did not require any Tesla parts. They were able to get it in for repairs in less than a week and I had my car back seven days after that which was the date originally quoted. Terri and Trina were both very responsive throughout the process and proactively informed me of progress. I also was excited when I picked up my car and noticed that they not only washed the outside and it was beautiful, they had also cleaned out the inside. My service experience was amazing and I feel they went above and beyond to deliver a “wow” experience. I would recommend Rickenbaugh Collision Center for any make or model of car. They have great staff, good systems that drive their processes and I’m confident you'll be happy with the experience.

This is the second time I've had the pleasure of working with Rickenbaugh's used car team, particularly Donnie and Anthony. The first time was ~4 years ago, and I ended up with exactly the Volvo I needed and wanted at the time, a living-room on wheels S80. I've since decided to migrate from sedans to station wagons, and Donnie and Anthony worked with me to arrange exactly the V60 CPO that I needed. Their (not particularly) new 'right price' approach is exactly what I was looking for and wanted in a CPO dealership - they set a price, and if the car doesn't sell they publicly reduce the price for all to see. No obnoxious haggling or one-upmanship. Having spent a good deal of time negotiating and fretting with other Denver Volvo dealerships, it was a joy and delight to not have to worry about this with Donnie. Anthony was also kind enough to offer me the best available price on a Volvo extended warranty contract up front - given my experience slowly negotiating down other dealers from far higher prices, I was surprised and delighted. As always, the total cost for the car was greater than I wanted when I started my search, but I also never thought I'd be able to get so much bang for my buck. Thanks again to Donnie & Anthony - buying used Volvos from Rickenbaugh promotes everything I love about the Volvo brand: understated, competent, and reliable security & performance. I went to get a new electronic car key, and I paid almost 400.00. And I am ok with that, but unhappy that I only got the service half way. Because the key that comes inside was not cut it because their equipment was not working to shape the key, so I have struggled finding a locksmith that was available and it cost me 200.00 it’s outrageous that I had to spend that amount of money it could be cheaper if all the job was done at the dealership. I am disability income, so for me it’s hard to survive and didn’t have a other choice to spend more money that if their equipment was working I wouldn’t have to spend. So I am not happy and would not used their services again. This company should have all the equipment in working service because I was told at first that they could that job and at the end is incomplete. So my experience for their service it’s bad, so you would think Cadillac brand it’s expensive and when you are promised job that’s what I expected so I am very dissatisfied.

If you're looking for a good deal I would suggest going elsewhere. I called about a used Audi Q3 Premium Plus (2nd highest tier of Q3's), But when I said I was about an hour away but would drive down to get it if we could agree on a price I was promptly given a long and seemingly angry spiel about Rickenbaugh's price policy. In short, that policy is "our price is the price, we don't negotiate because it's fair." If their price was an unbelievable price I would understand that...but it wasn't. It wasn't terrible, but there were better prices in the area. The manager, Anthony, spoke to me like I've never bought a car before and said the "old way" of buying cars (coming together on a fair price) was outdated. I spent another hour looking around and called a different dealership about 20 minutes from Rickenbaugh. That dealership understood I was a serious buyer and made me a great deal. That deal was on the same year Q3, but it was a Prestige (highest tier of Q3), also was CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED, and had 1,000 more miles for $500 more than what Rickenbaugh offered. I debated rating the dealership higher simply because of Anthony's service. Don't get me wrong, it was rude and terrible. But he made me look a little harder for Q3 and I got a smoking deal on it. So in a way, he did make a sale. Rickenbaugh, I'd consider reviewing your "price policy" because you're pushing away serious buyers and giving mediocre deals to the people that think it's a good price.

I have purchased 2 cars from Rickenbaugh and the salesmen have been superb. The service is another story. If I could give zero stars, I would, I took my car in for the 60,000 mile service. They charged me 800 dollars to fix various things but they did not follow the battery, which I told them was giving me trouble. I called back the next day and they asked me to bring it back in. I picked it up and they said that the battery was just fine. They said it was just the computer that was giving a message that something was wrong with the batter but in fact the battery was fine. I was a bit incredulous but took them at their word. The issue kept occurring. The continued to tell me they had checked the batter--no issues. Finally, my car broke down in Cherry Creek. Guess what? It was the battery. Mark Gorsline had the nerve to tell me the issue probably occurred after they serviced it. This even after I had been in constant communication with them. To add insult to injury, they could not even give me a jump start. They said the schedule was packed for the next 3 days. I had my car towed. I took it to Bob's Volvo. It was the battery all along. I will never ever go back to Rickenbaugh. You just lost a lifelong customer. Shame on you and your poor customer service.

Additionally, I worked with 3 different front desk men (Walter on the phone, Mark/Keith up front), and all three were top notch. Put on hold for 5 minutes Another voice says can I help you? Explained I wanted to look at used Volvos Voice says, Oh, I'm just helping out and will put you in touch will the used car manager. Got his voicemail. Hung up, got in my car, and drove away. Is this the current model for selling vehicles? Couldn't give zero stars.

In the sixty-plus years I have been taking vehicles to dealer service facilities, I can honestly state I have never found a better service experience than at Rickenbaugh Volvo in Denver. I am treated like a valued customer, my time is respected, I am kept updated on any needed repairs, as well as personally called when the vehicle is ready for pick up. The vehicle has been washed and is ready to go when I arrive. The waiting lounge is clean and comfortable, nicely stocked with beverages and snacks. Loaner vehicles, usually a current year model Volvo, are available with advance arrangement. I drive five miles further than another dealer to get to Rickenbaugh, simply because of the positive experiences I have had.
