If I could give a 0 star I would. We were sold a faulty car. Its very pretty, but apparently it wasn't checked out 100% under the hood. We bought it in January, and in March it broke down. Called Rath for help, none! Ended up having to put a new engine in it. That was another $4,000 added to what we are already paying for the car. The engine it had in it when they sold it to us was full of metal shavings. Buy from an actual dealership to get the better cars is all I have to say.

Do not ever buy a car from here. We put 5000 down on ours and by the first payment the car broke down. We had the highest warranty. The warranty didn't cover ANYTHING. There was a lot wrong with it. Then, it was almost 3000 to get it or of the shop. No payments nothing. It was and is a nightmare!!!!;

I absolutely loved this dealership. We looked online for cars for about a month before we decided on a dealership. We came across Rath Auto online and looked at their inventory. We picked one out that we liked and called and they had us approved within hours. We were very surprised because we didn't think we would get approved and if we did we probably would not be able to afford it. They surprised us because not only were we approved we could afford a real nice, newer car than what we had. We live four hours away and decided to go with Rath Auto. When we arrived there we seen nothing but smiles on all of their employees. They already had the car we picked off the lot ready to go, all we had to do was test drive and make our decision. They did not pressure us into buying something we did not want and they made it a point to make sure we were comfortable with everything. Needless to say, when we are in the market for another vehicle we will definitely go to them again. Hands down the best experience I have ever had at a dealership.

Started looking for a new vehicle for my Mom last September but she really wanted to wait till after the new year, and she was looking for something specific. Kevin our sales associate remembered what Mom wanted and when he saw it on the lot he automatically thought of her from several months ago and got in contact with me. So we came in looked at the Jeep and then a Sante Fe, she ended up liking the Sante Fe better. They gave us some figures let Mom drive the new car home to crunch numbers make a few phone calls. Well we came from Tulsa. We called ahead of time. We knew it would be cutting it close to closing. Talked e a lady on the phone. Called to say we were close but the lady only works the website. Got there. No one acted like they wanted to be bothered. Got a new guy (nothing wrong w that) that knew nothing but we drove many miles to get here. My poor hubby was walking the lot by himself. Floor manager (I guess that is what he was) basically walked us off. I got soooo mad I went back to the car where I am still sitting here. Talk about being pissed!!! VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY poor service. We will come back to ft smith but WONT be stopping at this place!!!!! What a waste of time because they couldn't get out of here fast enough. They sure didn't make us feel welcomed. U could tell maybe these people will leave so we can go home!!! I wish my hubby would come to the car because I am through w this dealership. If u were one of the ones that got treated nice count your blessings!!! They should have had an seasoned sells guy w the new one. Just bought my wife a Nissan Pathfinder. She has been looking for an SUV for over a year trying to find the right one. We have been taking our vehicles (3) to the Meineke shop for the last couple of years due to their excellent service, Chad and the rest of the mechanics are great. When we decided to talk to a salesman in January, Chad introduced us to Jerry Lovins. We knew we wouldn't be able to buy until later in the year but Jerry, was still very helpful, answered all her questions, let her test drive all types of different SUVs, and was never pushy over the last 9 months. Which is always a huge plus, especially when your not sure what you want. Finally after a lot of research she decided what she wanted and within less then two weeks they had the car she wanted, and in the color she wanted. We had the privilege of meeting and working with Larry Rath, and Kirk Myers while Jerry was on vacation this last week. All were extremely helpful and we couldn't be more pleased with the Pathfinder. My review was too long to post on here so I will give you the Cliff Notes version we dealt with Owen Shackleford, Kirk Myers, and Mike Jennings. After the “deal” was done and we got home and started reading the paperwork we realized we had been hustled. We were not given anything we told we were and found several discrepancies in the paperwork after calling Rath auto resources and voicing our concerns we were pretty much told oh well. I contacted the Attorney General‘s office explained the entire situation to them and they recommended that we retain a lawyer for bait and switch as well as contract discrepancies and Miss leading information. Fortunately we were able to get out of the contract and return the vehicle after we informed them that we were advised to retain a lawyer they shredded our paperwork took the vehicle back and told us to have a great day. I have filed a complaint with the attorney generals office in hopes to get these illegal and crooked practices st miss leading information.

My friend bought a car from Rath a few months ago and they used Experian as their reference for history. We were at another dealership that used Carfax and it shows an accident with structural damage and value at half what she paid. When we confronted the sales manager who was shaking like a dog passing peach pits, he was explaining the difference between the word "may" and the usual used car salesman talk. I'm really surprised at the ratings they have and don't mention the A word or you get kicked out. Oh yes, please ask the sales manager the definition of structural damage. (A scratch)

I would not recommend this dealership to anyone my wife just bought a car from them the first car she bought the heater went out and it took it back they said they fixed it turned around here went out on it again took the car back they gave her a different vehicle told her she was approved for it jacked up her payments on it a month later told her that the finance company could not approve it and that she needed to return the vehicle not only that after she returned a vehicle the capital on her credit as a repo so she cannot get another vehicle to another dealership they are very unprofessional and when I spoke to the dealer about it he decided to be very rude and hostile I would not recommend this dealership to anyone

Ok, so here is the thing. As far as my initial experience with Rath Auto goes, it was excellent. Billy Adkins was absolutely great in helping me get into a car. Unfortunately 3 weeks (to the day) after I got the car, the transmission went out. I had the car towed to Rath who in turn had it taken to another local dealership to have the work done. Since then it is still not fixed and I do not trust the transmission. After speaking with 2 managers about the situation and telling them I would just rather have a different vehicle that I could depend on, the final answer was, we really can't do anything. The truck I traded was more reliable than this car. On top of everything else, I got the title and paper work after the 30 days that you have to tag the vehicle. In this matter, all they told me was to tell them I hadn't driven the vehicle so I don't get extra fees and penalties. I will not do business with them again.

Anyone looking for a good used truck/car would be crazy not to come here. I came in two weeks ago and looked at a few trucks. I finally settled for one and we went through the whole process and it turns out I couldn't get approve for the one I was wanting. Great auto-repair place! Honest people, and here's why: I went in to get a front-end alignment. They asked when the last time I had one was. I didn't remember. Instead of just doing an alignment and charging $60, the gentlemen all suggested that we do an alignment check instead for only $20 (reasonable since they have to upkeep their old machine). I even got to have a look at the machine when they told us that the tires were perfect. Most other places would've been shady and made us pay the full $60 because that's what we had intended. At Rath, these guys had the customer in mind, not just money - that's what counts.

Smith, 2 yrs ago, I ended up needing a pickup truck, after shopping around I found one I wanted at Rath Auto, approaching the purchase with the same feelings as usual, I was pleasantly surprised to find out these guys don't do business that way. I had contacted the dealership online about a vehicle we were interested in, and was contacted by Jordan. I wasn't able to make it into the dealership that day, but stated that I would contact him when we would be able to. He seemed friendly and willing to work with our schedule for coming in. Received a phone call this morning from Jordan and he asked if we would be available to come and see the vehicle in question. I apologized and stated that we had already bought another vehicle. He asked what kind and I told him what it was. He turned very nasty and hostile and stated "well thanks for wasting my time" there was something else at the end he said before he hung up on me, but I wasn't able to make it out. So, first things first. I'm completely disgusted with the way that he handled the situation. As a sales rep for a car dealership, he should be able to handle someone not buying every car that they are interested in on their lot. I made no promises or commitments to buy the vehicle. There was absolutely no need for his hostility and rudeness. Second, how does this behavior help your business when a big part of someone coming in and trusting the dealership with this type of purchase is word of mouth from friends/family. If someone has a personal bad experience with a company they usually spread that information to others. Having employees who honestly don't care enough about their company to be polite and friendly is just a bad business decision. I know for future car purchases Rath dealership will be one that I don't go and look at based on the customer experience I've had.

Let me start off by saying Rath is a great dealership. My entire experience was nothing but honesty and their amazing need to help and find a car that was perfect for my sister. Every person at the dealership that we had any interaction with was amazing. I love our sales guy, the finance guy, and I even had a little bit of an impression of the owner and he too was very nice. Now my problem, and the whole reason for this review, is the sales manager. For the life of me, I cannot imagine why Mr Rath would hire this awesome sales team and have this popular auto shop while having the WORST taste in one of the leaders of his dealership. He is rude, condescending, disrespectful to not only the customers but very visibly and very LOUDLY, the sales team! I can't imagine running a business and ever believing how he treated anyone, much less my employees as being okay. Mr Rath, you've built a great dealership and auto shop, you've filled it with these awesome salesman and even your front desk woman was so nice, but you need to do something about that "manager" or I could very honestly see you losing some very valuable customers and maybe even employees from what my family and I witnessed.

Actually came into Meineke to get some work done to our vehicle and while we were sitting there we decided to look around at what Rath Auto had. We lucked out and they had one vehicle that fit our family's needs. Mike Jennings did an awesome job finding exactly what we were needing.
