Overall great experience. I purchased a pre-owned 2016 Buick Encore Sport Touring. The process was smooth. Initially got a modest financing rate, secured a lower rate through a private lender and they matched it. No added sales pitches in the financing office...just a fast friendly transaction. Only negative I could give is that they wouldn't budge on the vehicle selling price for the pre-owned vehicle. What you see online quoted is probably what you will pay before trade, down payment, and taxes (if you opt to pay those yourself). In their defense, the price quoted was approx $600 above black book average trade and about $400 below blackbook clean trade. All in all, I would recommend this dealership for the ease of the deal. They have quality pre-owned vehicles that you can get into to avoid that initial heavy depreciation expense that is associated with a new car purchase and get that new car feeling still. My car: 2016 Buick Encore Sport Touring Only 11,850 miles on it They have many great pre-owned vehicles on their lot with low miles...give them a look if you are looking at upgrading.

I called McLarty Volvo a week in advance to schedule service on my vehicle purchased from McLarty 8 months ago. I requested a loaner vehicle and was told that one would be available. I arrived as scheduled to be told that a vehicle was not available “there isn’t a vehicle on the lot”. I did not receive advance notice and no apologies were given. I waited 2 hours and missed my other appointment. I received poor customer service!

My most recent experience at North Point Volvo was not good. I went in for for some warranty work and was charged for service that I felt did not need to be performed and had nothing to do with the reason I took the Volvo to be serviced.

In February 2019, I purchased a Volvo XC90 R-Design. I LOVE this vehicle! I have owned several different cars from Honda to Mercedes and this is my favorite car to-date. My wife also LOVED my new Volvo and wanted to take it from me immediately. However, I had a very unpleasant financing experience with McLarty during my purchase. After the purchase (long distance transaction), I explained my experience to Keith, McLarty Manager, and he was very open and honest about McLarty not providing me the best experience they could have and offered to do whatever to make it right. I asked him to work with me to buy another Volvo XC90 for my wife and he was VERY professional and did everything to make up for my previous experience. The process of filling out paperwork and getting everything arranged took longer than expected (and probably longer than necessary); however, I am very happy with my new car and would go back to McLarty Volvo again!
Wow the new XC 90 T6 is amazing. It’s a full-size third row seat SUV from Volvo. Always the best and safest car in the class it is a beautiful vehicle. Also love the new full-size sedan it is called the S 90 T5 all drive momentum. The one in the picture is silver with tan leather interior with a black wallet it is so beautiful. I highly recommend shopping and buying a Volvo here.
I call they bring me a comparable vehicle they fix everything they find wrong and wash the car. It would be even better if they could vacuum also. For a busy professional it is great having a no worry visit.

So, I was a little anxious because I've had mostly negative experiences with dealerships being pushy and high pressure, and this being a high end dealer...well, let's just say I was skeptical about talking to anyone, but I was browsing the McLarty website and found a few vehicles that I wanted to take a look at in person. I pulled up and could see the Audi A7 that I was interested in, but I didn't spot the Q5. A fella, Josh Pate, comes out while I'm reading the information sheet on the A7, we went over a ton of things, and he even personally went to another one of their locations to get that Q5 just to let me see it... We talked to one of the loan managers, Will, and he went through my finance, warranty, gap coverage, and other options to get me the best deal and work my payments close to my budget goal, and to make a long story short...I am now a very proud owner of an Audi A7. I've never been more happy with a purchase. I was halfway joking when I told them this...but these guys are absolutely welcome to come to Thanksgiving dinner this year.
Took awhile to get the car fixed because they didn't have the parts on hand. Apparently my car's issue isn't a common problem. The problem was fixed and covered under warranty. Service was good but cleanup after the service wasn't up to the level of our previous experience here. There was a trim piece from the center console sitting on the back seat (I re-attached it myself at home), smudges on the inside of the windshield, and dirt/grease smudges on the leather seats. All easily cleaned once we got home, so not a big deal, but inconsistent with our previous experience.

This is by far the best dealership I have ever worked with. The customer service here is as above and beyond as you can possibly get. My salesperson, Sean T., the Sales Manager, Eric S., and the Finance Director, Will A., were friendly, open, and most importantly (in my opinion), honest with me about the whole process and never once made me feel like any sort of burden. They worked their magic and got me an absolute fantastic deal on the car that I desperately wanted. I have never had anyone, in any way, work so hard to accommodate my situation and make sure I received a deal that I could afford and that I was happy with. Will wasn't even able to start my paperwork until after the dealership had technically closed, but he and Sean stayed until almost 8 PM that night to make sure I was able to take my car home that night! I cannot truly express my gratitude in words, try as I might. This is a one-in-a-million dealership, and it would be well worth your time to start here in your search for a vehicle!
The work done on my vehicle was very good. The only complaint is the customer service. I would think being a Volvo dealership would mean premium service / attention. I can’t put my finger on anything specific, but I know the way Toyota makes you feel....

Yesterday I had to have a new battery for my 750 BMW. Dillon was my service man and it became complicated because they were using a different kind of battery because I do so much city driving. Dillon was vey helpful and even brought my car to my house because it was so late when it was finished. He explained every thing to me very well and could not have been more helpful. Your serviced department was very busy but because of a trip we were taking the next day he found room for us. Dillon is an asset to the Service Department.

Brought my 325 CI to fix the convertible top, charged me $400 to repairs the wires that were lose, 3 weeks later, same thing happened, cannot close the top. I was told another wire needs to be repaired and they now suggest that I should replace all wires and they will give me a good price of $500 to do so. Why didn't they repair all the wires the first time???? I guess they just fix one wire at the time so they can make more money and what the heck with customers, they don't seem to care. Luckily, there are few honest places in Little rock that work on BMW.

I experienced a flat tire which roadside assistance responded to an hour later. I called Volvo Service twice and no answer. I left a message asking to have tire replaced and no one returned my call. We dropped off the tire the next day since no one returned our call. I called again later in the day to arrange a time to have the tire put on and no one answered.

I also understand it might take a little effort to make it right by a LOYAL customer but that’s what you should do... I can let you know the $2,000 tires they want me to buy will now NOT be purchased there.

Horrible experience. Purchased the car over the phone. I called the finance guy Adam when my paperwork came in and he told me he would call me back. Adam never called me back. I had to call Adam on Monday and he barely walked me thru the documents, his dad was talking to him in the background. Adam told me my car was already picked up and was not delayed and would call me back with the exact delivery date. Adam never called me back. Couldn't get a hold of the salesperson because he was on vacation. The GM got involved and got me my car delivered by Friday. I was told by salesperson I would receive it mid week. Have had the car for a few weeks now and still have not received Volvo training. I also have not received a copy of the purchase agreement that Adam said he would mail me. I also have not received the title. I try to call the dealership and no one answers the phone. What car dealership doesn't answer the phone? Extremely unprofessional. Not worth buying a car from there even if it saves you some pennies. Not worth the headache.

Here’s a snapshot summary of my experience at McLarty Volvo Service Advisor : Angie was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful 5* Dealership Appearance: Newly renovated, clean, nice service drop off area 5* Workmanship: Performed requested service as expected 5* Extras: Items I feel a dealer provides above and beyond expectations. Bonus points if you will Loner Car: Not offered. Most other luxury brands I’ve owned usually provide one 0* Shuttle Service: Although they didn’t offer a loner, their shuttle got me where I needed to go right away 5* Car Wash: Car was cleaned up and vacuumed out. Also kept in the shaded service pickup area 5* EV Charging: I have a T8 model and it would have been nice if they threw it on the charger and had the battery fully charged when I arrived. 0*. Overall I had a good experience and I’ll be returning for future scheduled maintenance/service. Just a couple little details missing from me giving them a 5 star review.

Booked my S80. purchased elsewhere, for its 10,000 mile check up. Staff were helpful and friendly, fast and courteous. They returned my car to me looking as though it just rolled off the show room floor and not its ready for the next 10k miles.
Clean place but really don't like Volvo
I have had a Volvo S60 for six months. I have been pleased with the car and the one time I had it serviced. However when we intially bought the car, there was very little explanation on the operation of information screen on dash. We did make a trip to little rock from hot springs to get a quick review of the options, which was helpful, but should have been taken care of when we purchased the car.

I bought my car from Gator there in May 2018 and had a great experience with the sales and finance people I worked with. They went above and beyond to help me. However anytime I’ve taken my car back there for service it has been an absolute nightmare. They are clearly short staffed in the service department. Very long waits, no one calls when the vehicle is ready for pick up and definitely no courtesy vehicle available.
I purchased my dream car with overseas delivery and I cannot recommend Chris Franke enough. He went so far above and beyond anything I could have expected while buying a car. Chris is VERY knowledgeable and personable. I'd like to also point out how easy he made the whole process and was not pushy at all. He walked me through the entire over seas delivery process and made sure every detail was taken care of. Anyone buying a car through Chris is certain to be in good hands. Even after the sale his service goes above and beyond. Chris has even taken time out of his day off to meet me in town when I had an issue with my vehicle. I have called the dealership for service 5 different occasions in the past 3 weeks, 3 went to voicemail, the other two rang back to the operator. No response to voicemail messages. I need an oil change, a 125K service and identify an oil leak. Not a tough job for a dealer service department if you can ever get a response. I have had several positive experiences with Volvo service departments outside of Arkansas. The Volvo brand name is great but some dealers and their service departments are lacking, North Point Volvo being counted amongst that number.
Would give 0 starts if possible. Horrible experience trying to buy a car. They do not stand by what they advertise. Can't imagine how this place is still in business. Terrible, terrible....drive to Dallas or Memphis and save yourself a headache.
This was a problem that was worked on by two Volvo dealerships, one in Boise, Idaho and McLarty Volvo in Little Rock. The total cost was over a thousand dollars and probably would have been less than half that if the problem had been correctly diagnosed in the first place. I think that the two dealerships should have consulted and given me some sort of price break because the extra cost resulted from a missed diagnosis. The car is out of warranty, but the failure is one that in my view should not have occurred this early in the car’s life. I’ve been pleased with the two Volvos that we’ve owned and believe they are good value for the purchase price. They have, however, been the most expensive cars to maintain that I’ve ever owned. Service personnel were friendly and efficient. I am so far pleased with the results and hope the problem is solved.

11/06/2018 - XC60R Volvo malfunctioned; luckily we weren't killed or didn't kill anyone. Service could not tell me what happened by way of black box. Corporate Volvo never answered my requests. Have switched to 2019 Subaru Forester - finished with Volvos.

Was there to get my passenger rear door replaced to the factory standards on 2009 Nissan Sentra . Referred to this place from the dealer, North Point Nissan. Extremely poor workmanship and professionalism. They held the car due to some hold up with the insurance ( geico) related part of the money for 1.5 month. At the end of it all the door was not even fixed right. I had to go back as the door needed to be slammed hard to make it shut properly and the explanation the manager gave was that " the rubber lining being brand new needs to be broken in with time" Guess what..it has been over 1 yr now and the door is still messed up!!!
I was nearing my service appointment & got a troubling message on my XC90’s dashboard. I called the service department & Daniel explained to me what the issue was and how to temporarily fix it until I could get in 2 days later. He even sent pictures and video with instructions! Upon getting my vehicle in he stayed in communication with me & he resolved my issues in a reasonable time. I hope he never leaves! Great experience!

We used one of the best sales people I have ever met...Gary Gray....I bought a 2014 BMW X5 and I felt like royalty after all the follow up calls and extended overtime training he gave till 9 PM on a Friday night....this dealership is great and I would recommend it to anyone....especially if you use Gary Gray!
