I do not recommend this dealership. Terrible experience, horrible sales and management. Here's why: Sales person didn't have me test drive the car before trying to lock me into a deal because he didn't listen to my needs. But kept coming back to these "numbers" I never agreed to in the first place. Sales manager comes and stops me mid-way while in reverse as I am leaving their dealership parking lot, blocks me in and won't let me leave because "we've worked hard to get you this deal!" He was yelling at me in their parking lot, accosting me and guilt tripping me. I say no because I haven't driven the car, hadn't seen anything on paper. But I was uncomfortable with all of these men attacking me. I go to get parts for our car from their dealership, and the manager who was pushy sees me with my husband and tells his salesman to call me, so he texts me asking 'if I was in today'. I said 'yes for parts', and he asked 'if I was still interested' I said "not at that asking price". Later on that day I speak to the nice young lady who had left me a voicemail asking me to please return to test drive the vehicle, stating "they wanted to earn my business" and apologized for their strong arm sales tatics. She states "We can get the asking price lowered and they're making great discount offers this weekend! Please let us earn your business!" And we apologize for your experience" ... I agree to come in to test drive it and see theire offer, or get a decent counter offer WITH my husband this time. Fooled us.... completely unwilling to come down on the ASKING price. The vehicle was higher than fair market by 2k. The salesman tried a hard sale stating I agreed to their work up prior... How is that possible, when I hadn't even test driven the car until my fourth visit!? They're in violation! No paperwork of the numbers, nothing ... Just a hope and prayer I'd sign my soul to the devil for a vehicle. No regard for my needs, just consistently aggressive. We asked them to come down on the price, and the salesman says how about 1k off? My husband asks him to have his manager come and tell us they can't do better... He (the salesman) attempts to get his manager who refused to come out but was so aggressive and rude when I was there alone. I would've purchased the car if they would've honored the 1k off... but then the salesman comes back and says "my manager says it's worth x amount, so that's the offer, and the ONLY offer." I said your team called me in here for what? To waste my time when you're not willing to negotiate on the marked up used 2013 vehicle... goodbye! I had already passed 3x on this vehicle but they kept hounding me via text and phone, but was lied to and promised better service. I thought they were being honorable. NOPE! Do not waste your time... I'm going to Volvo Cars of Phoenix to share my experience I had with these two salesman. We'll buy when it's right, not just because. It simply shows their lack of integrity for their: customers, reputation and commitment to being "the best". Working mom's, middle class families and people on a budget, they will not work with you and your budget . . . And will make fake offers to get you in or keep you on the hook. Who tries to get a person in a contract for a vehicle without a test drive first? That was a red flag immediately. I wasted 4 days, was harassed via text, valuable time I can never get back. Worst dealership, don't waste your time. Greedy... marked up pricing, liars & ladies they'll intimidate you with the bait and switch tatics then have a nice voice call to lure you in and suck the life out of you only to OVERCHARGE you in the end! THE worst... make all salesman look bad! Posting to all of my social media accounts and sending emails to all of my co-workers, friends and acquaintances about my experience because this was literally the worst experience. You think it's the little dealerships, nope! The big one's try to snake you!

Got called 2 times to go see a used car. Talk to Ms.Carmen one day in which she never got back to after i made an offer..next day Ms.Jorden called and we agreed to go and see the car and try to make a deal. On our way up from the West valley we had made up our mind. To buy if price was good... But came to realized that the veachle was not close to being ready needed still to pass inspection had crack windshield. passenger door window not working front tire wires could be seen. Very dirty inside had multiple deep scratches could not be driven for test drive due to the tire.Mr.Jason sales man was not even aware of the things it needed just said it needed inspection So .this was very aggravated so we drove 45 minutes for nothing . I was disappointed will probably never go back to volvo courtesy .

I had brought our XC90 to get checked before our trip, they found an issue with our breaks and I got a great price for the repair plus they did a multi-point inspection and no other issues noted. They always wash our car and treat me very well. We can go anywhere for service but we choose Courtesy Volvo, also bought our vehicle their.

Bought a used Infiniti from Courtesy Volvo and ran into some issues with the car soon after. It took some time, a few calls and emails, but we were able to come to a resolution and they helped me out with some of the repair costs. It was a little frustrating at the time but I completely understand they didn't have to offer anything to appease me so I'm grateful they did.

I'm not sure they deserve 2 stars. I'm giving 2 stars because I love my new used car. Although I was promised the box at the rear view mirror would be fix, it was not. It was a struggle to get them to honor service warranty price. Once they did, my deductible became 200.00 rather than the promised 100.00. The salesman assured me the the car had been serviced and maintenance inspected, the maintenance light came on within a couple of weeks for an oil change. so I've had lots of calls with courtesy and lots of promises to fix the rear view mirror box and it's still not done and I need to get an oil change. Oh and the price that they gave me was roughly $2,400 more than the advertised price on their website. It may sound a bit tiring, but I wonder if I were a middle age man, would they have behaved in a much more honorable fashion.

I scheduled an appointment to see a vehicle that they had listed on CARFAX. I informed them that I live over 80 miles away so if they sell the vehicle between now please let me know. They left a message the day before the appointment to confirm, I returned the call and left a message confirming the appointment. Next day, they called twice to see if I was coming in. When I arrived they informed me that the person who I had the appointment with was not there and referred me to another sales person. After a few minutes of waiting, that sales person informed me that they don't think they have that vehicle anymore and that he was not sure what happened to it. After looking aimlessly through their lot, he came to the conclusion they no longer have it and asked what was I was looking for. Which I told him a 4x4. He spent about 2 minutes looking through the lot and said he had nothing for me. So I wasted my time and money, going out of my way to see a vehicle that seem to never existed or just ran off on it own. At 8:30 that night, I received a call from them asking me if I am still interested in the vehicle that I initially went to see. When I snapped at him, saying that I drove over 80 miles only to be told it is no longer there. He then starts to talk to himself and then ask me would you be interested in a Compass? I start to snap at him again and tells me he has a hard time hearing me and that he will send a text which I never got....lol cue the circus music.

Is there a 6 Star option? 7? 8,9, 10... infinity? I cannot say enough awesome things about my experience at Courtesy Volvo! My Sales rep, Kameron, is the best! A total non-car guy car guy! Pleasant, calm, relaxed- he asnswered every single question with knowledge and kindness- he made me feel 100% at ease and projected a vibe that is very uncommon in the car game. Manager Brock is solid and his team works hard for him. Mike C. was beyond helpful in arranging financing and extremely patient (my insurance arrangements took longer than the actual car deal). The facility is open and clean and inviting! I love my purchase, Courtesy took care of me like I was a VIP from the moment I walked in. Thank you Courtesy Volvo! I highly recommend, and will be back the next time I want to purchase a vehicle!!!

When purchasing my new (to me) vehichle, I didnt want a pushy salesperson or someone who only cared about the bottom line. I am soo thankful to Ben and his whole team for the wonderful experience I had with my purchase from start to finish. Ben worked hard with his team to make this deal happen for me and included me in every step of the process. He worked diligently and worked closely with his team to find the best financing deal for us for our situation. This was our first out of state buying experience and I felt comfortable the whole way through. The team that we worked with were wonderful from beginning to the end. The dealership is beautiful and I loved that after a long trip, Ben came and picked us up from the airport in our vehichle, and didnt mind when I asked him if we could stop by and grab some lunch on our way to the dealership to sign paperwork, without knowing the dealership had snacks and drinks available for us while we waited to finalize our paperwork with Drew. Drew was great and answered all of my questions before we even arrived so all that we had to do was sign and drive! It was such a smooth process! Kameron went above and beyond and sent us on our way for our long drive home with cold water and snacks for the drive. I LOVE my new vehichle and I can truly say this was the absolute BEST car buying experience I have ever had. I hope to keep my new vehichle for many years to come, but I would not hesitate to contact Ben, Drew, Kameron, and the team at Courtesy to purchase again! I wish I can give 0 stars but I'm giving 1 due to Frank being awesome. I was giving nothing but lies and no communication from sales and management from day 1. The worst auto buying experience ever. I'm in cali and TRUCK was being shipped to me like agreed on in sale. Kameron called me Monday morning and told me it had been shipped and was waiting for an ETA from shipper. My text was ignored for 2 days. I'm wondering where is my truck I only live 4 hrs away it's now day 2 . Finally after I send a text to Cory(Management)saying I'm cancelling payment i get a text from Kameron(sales) saying ETA will be Thursday mind you it's Tuesday but left the dealer on Monday. I text and call Cory upset. I told him I'm not excepting Thursday as no delivery date. I could have just came and got my own truck like we started. Cory says it will take longer because they have other vehicles to deliver but he will contact them to see where truck was. I'm guessing Frank just arrived back to work from vaca and see that truck is still on lot and calls my husband(we spoke to Frank the week prior) and ask him did we change are mind on the trck.. My husband ask him is the Truck still there and Frank say it's right in front of him. The entire time the Truck was still at dealer smh. So of course now Cory wants to talk. "O I will get it out there to you im sorry this I'm sorry that I will take care of you guys for this. I know you guys have been waiting for a while I'm going to have one of my guys drive it to you." At this point I'm furious. So my husband tells him NO we coming out there to get it plus we want to talk to you and Kameron. He replies let me just have one of my workers drive it for you,I'm going to take care of you. You will have it an a couple of hrs. My husband replies I could put my own miles on the truck. It was getting shipped to save miles now y'all trying to drive it to us? Cory replies we don't need to be driving upset and that he was going to take care of us. My husband said as long as you take care of us because this have been the worst buying experience EVER. He said he knows and to call him the following day. We have been calling him every since he just sends us to VM. The same night they brought the Truck Kameron calls me to let me know that when I recieve the Truck the buttons on steering wheel was not be working and to take it to dealer and it was covered. I took TRUCK to dealer. Went to pick it up and had to come out of pocket I have been texting and calling both Kameron and Cory and they will not return my calls.. there is so much more to this situation that I have not spoken about that has happen during this sale that I feel I need to talk to corporate about.The lies. The no communication. Terrible . I hate that this is the only way to communicate with them and hoping I get a call back.

To whom it may concern, My name is Gus, I am a customer of yours. I purchased a car on January 2nd, 2019. Andrew was the gentleman that helped me with my purchase. I was blown away with the level of service Andrew provided me with. I was ready to recommend Courtesy Volvo to my friends and family since tax season is here, however my experience turned out to be miserable to the point where I regret doing business with this dealership. It is now January 25th and the vehicle that I traded in has not been paid off. My payment was due on the 20th of January and I assumed my loan had been paid off however, the payoff process is still under review due to lack of communication between the financing company and Courtesy Volvo. A late payment was reported to my credit even though I had never EVER been late on any of my payments. I have worked on my credit for years to get it where I want it to be, all for a group of people to ruin my hard work. I made a $40K purchase at this dealer and have been neglected by the entire Courtesy Volvo staff, except for Andrew. He has been the only one in touch with me. Regardless, I will escalate this until it is fixed. The way my paperwork was handled is unacceptable. Also I called the dealer on 1/25 to speak to a manager. Diana transferred me to Corey (which was extremely rude and refused to provide me with his name, even though I knew his name). He ended up hanging up on me after I asked for his name 2 times. Corey did not even bother to ask what he could help me with (he should be awarded manager of the year!). I called again and I was transferred to Misty (finance manager), which promised to call me back as soon as she is able to get a hold of the accounting department. I hope Misty keeps her word and is able to get this situation corrected. Thank you in advance for reading my experience and I look forward to get this taken care of.

From day one, Courtesy Volvo has been outstanding! We have dealt with Jud and Brian in service and they are the shining example of excellent customer service. We had minor issues with the XC90 (some rattling in a door, rattling in the headliner, etc). They never hesitate to take the vehicle and get the problem corrected. They are quick to provide a loaner car if they needed extra time. We brought it in for a wheel balance after about 35,000 miles (and some ill-advised off roading in Colorado which ate up the tires). They notified us of the brakes pulsating when applied at high speeds. I noticed this and I believe all vehicles will have this to some extent over the life of the vehicle. I never brought it up because it's normal in my opinion, and definitely not covered on warranty. Nope, Courtesy Volvo covered it and put new front brakes on. I worked on cars at a reputable dealer years ago and I've never witnessed this type of proactive service. We will be customers for life. And we will be purchasing another Volvo through the OSD program next year from Courtesy. I cannot express how satisfied we are with Brian and Jud and all the Courtesy staff. Thank you!

If I could give 0 stars I would. My friends and I went browsing for cars and the salesmen were completely inappropriate and unprofessional. They made sexual jokes towards us, used numerous curse words and asked why I perferred my father present before purchasing a car. We felt extremely uncomfortable. To top it alllll off we sat for 45 minutes just to see if we were pre-approved because they messed up on the paperwork ...twice. Sadly this is your stereotypical, sleazy car dealership. Also, Happy International Women’s day. UPDATE (3.14.19) It has almost been a week since this incident has happened and the father called out twice to this general manager. The General manager has yet to call him back. INSTEAD they called and left a message for the 18 yr old girl they made sexual jokes towards to “talk about my review”. Clearly they are taking behavior of their employees “very seriously”.

Car salesman, David Blankinship was respectful to our wants for a car. He was respectful with his introduction, kindness, knowledge and to our budget. We found a car online that was located at this dealership and David took the initiative to contact us. He was not pushy nor demanding like many car salesman, he was respectful. The dealership itself was respectful too! It was clean and classy looking. The positions of the cars in the lot made it easy to look at them and close to the building itself. The dealership had bottled water available which was great on a hot day like the day we were there. They also had snacks which was nice to have if you have to wait. The dealership was busy and we had to wait to sign papers, but they did it with respect and kept us informed when our turn came to sign papers. Overall a nice experience.

I thought this dealership Provided a good experience. I did notice that after having a car for one week I already have squeaky brakes and a rattle noise in the engine plus my key fob doesn’t turn on my engine like it should. The car only has 27,000 miles an already I’m going to have to bring it in to get it serviced. Also I left a message for the finance manager who did the paperwork on my car and it’s been several days and I have never gotten a return call. I will say it’s convenient to my house so I don’t have to drive far to have my car serviced. Also the the sales manager Brock was very nice so was our salesman David at the dealership they were very good. I think the only issue is I have to get my car serviced already.

Very professional team and sales staffs. They were very patient with us both in person and over the phone. We ultimately ended up purchasing our car at the dealership in Phoenix as their inventories did not meet our requirement but this is a solid dealer with a solid team. Even if you live somewhat farther, it is a worthwhile visit as this is probably one of the bigger dealerships with many to choose from. Our favorite is still the one in Phoenix but I would consider this dealership for services in the future.

Updated review: I increased my rating from 1 star to 3 stars as, After I posted my original review, I received a call from the GM of the dealership. He was genuinely interested to understand what went wrong and how to make amends for it. Although it doesn’t change the original experience,; I believe that the GM is pushing for a culture of excellence. So I am hopeful that what I went through won’t happen again to any of you. Original review: One of my worst car buying experience. - Sales guy trying to increase the online price by saying the car has additional features... - 4h in the garage to get the paperwork done (or more exactly to get people to care about you and your time) - despite showing a flawless multipoint inspection done by the garage, driving the car showed an issue with the parallelism of the front wheels - the garage fixed it, but you wonder what multipoint inspection was done before - only one key for the car, it is a Volvo dealer, couldn’t they provide 2 keys!? - the car key provided had a flat battery, I had to change it the day after buying the car - the car was sold to me with 1/3 of a tank of gas, really!? I haven’t seen this anywhere else in a big concession. So disappointing!!

**Edited to Add After Original Review: I'm changing my four-star review to a five-star review after interacting with Daniel and Brian in the service department! After seeing my review, Daniel contacted me personally to set up an appointment to tint my windows, and my car now looks amazing. I am very impressed with this dealership and we will definitely be returning in the future. I can now confidently say that our experience with our first salesperson was a a reflection of him, and not a reflection of Courtesy Volvo or their policies. Thank you to everyone at Courtesy who worked to turn our experience around. We appreciate you and are happy to give you all five-very-well-deserved stars. :) Our experience at Courtesy Volvo Scottsdale went from very poor to very good. My husband and I are now very satisfied with the vehicle and service we received. However, our first salesman, William, was very friendly in the beginning, but soon made it clear that he was in a hurry to leave by mentioning that he was off at 4:00 (it was 4:45 at the time of his comment), and then as we were attempting to negotiate the price, he told us that he was really just thinking about getting home to watch Thursday Night Football. While we were in the office deciding on whether or not the price would work for us, he said "sorry guys, I guess we'll shake hands and part ways", before we had even decided on whether or not to purchase the vehicle. We left very disappointed and went to discuss things outside. Meanwhile, William left. After a few minutes of talking things out in the parking lot, my husband went back in and spoke to Brock, the desk manager, and Daniel, a salesman. Brock and Daniel were both very helpful and respectful and we were able to come to a very reasonable agreement. We were also very impressed by the professionalism of the finance department and how thoroughly they explained the warranty that we purchased. Despite the fact that he was there past the official closing time in order to finish our loan, he never once complained or made us feel as if we were a burden. We very much appreciated that, and instead of feeling like a burden, we felt like valued customers. Thank you Brock, Daniel, and the finance department for turning what could have been a very disappointing experience into a very good one. Your service deserves five stars, and the only reason I'm leaving a 4-star review is because of our poor experience with our first salesman. The only thing I'd like to add - we had to pay for the package that includes lifetime tinting, however our car currently has no tint. I'm hoping we can get this taken care of soon. Thank you!

My wife and I were unexpectedly put in the market for a new van. We searched for a couple of weeks and looked a several options before coming to Courtesy Volvo of Scottsdale. We called ahead of time and spoke with Chris to make sure the two vans we saw online were still available. He informed us they were and we made the drive to the dealership. We were met by Chris and he had pulled one of the vans up for us to look at. The first van was a no go, and then we saw the van for us. It was a 2015 Chrysler Town & Country. Everyone we dealt with was super friendly and willing to work with our budget. Despite being there for a long time, our overall experience was very positive. We got the van we had been looking for and at a great price. We had the pleasure of working with two sales associates, Chris and Jacob, sales manager Jeremy and finance manager Drew. I've experienced two wonderful services at Courtesy Volvo of Scottsdale. Very easy to schedule online and communicate with the Service Manager and my Service Advisor. Great to have several follow-up texts and emails making certain that everything was accomplished to my satisfaction. There are three Volvo dealerships in the Phoenix area and because I live in a rural area and need to drive 100 miles for service, it's important to get it right the first time in choosing a dealer. Very pleased with this dealership's attention to detail and rapid turn-around. The other pluses are the very modern architecture and decor and the freshly washed car at pick-up. Love Judd, my Service Adviser, and Armand the Service Manager.

My experience at Courtesy Volvo was terrific. I did not know which model I preferred and Ed Himes was sincere, genuine, patient and informative throughout my decision process. Cory Fair was plain-spoken and respectable and we reached a quick agreement that was fair to both parties. In conclusion, I highly recommend both individuals. My experience was simply outstanding. Terrible. I bought a Chevy Cruze from this dealership a year ago. They sold it to me knowing there was a problem (they torched the oil cap) but aside from that, they sold me a $5,000 warranty, then never submitted it to the warranty company. I've come to the dealership (an hour from my house) atleast 4 times and was given the run around for a $350 bill i paid out of pocket when my drivers window motor went out. One of the Supervisors, C**y, first told me the dealership would write me the check because my "Warranty" should've covered it. (When I went to get it fixed the place I took it to contracted the Warranty company and they were told my name only pulled up an oil change warranty) it's been over a year and I've grown tired of dealing with it.

Absolute sham. I don’t know how this dealership stays in business. It was my second experience with them and this one was worse than the first. I was all set to lease an XC90 through this dealership. I interacted with several people over a 2 day span but Jonathann (“Johnny”) was the shadiest. I had called to the other dealerships in the area to see who could give me the best lease deal on a XC90 and when I presented Jonathann with the offer I got from another dealership, he said “come on down let’s get the deal done”. I explained that I am pregnant and have a 20 month old at which time he offered to bring the paperwork to my house. We filled out the finance application and this is the important part. After filling out the finance paperwork, getting my family ready to go, and nearly cancelling the deal with Volvo of Phoenix, I get a call from Jonathann. First he explained that it would be easier for me to go to the dealership and essentially took back the offer to deliver the paperwork to me. That’s when I knew I had made a mistake in trusting this dude. He says “oh, did you notice how many miles were on the vehicle you were going to lease?” I said, “ya, 5000”. That was when he said “oh, well the only way we can do this deal is for us not to restart the clock on the miles when your lease begins”. In other words, instead of 10,000 miles a year for the first year of my lease, I would be allowed 5,000! W.T.F. He told me that HAD to be how the other dealership was structuring it as well (it wasn’t). I told him thanks but no thanks. Then the manager called and tried to do damage control which also happened the last time I was at the dealership (and had an issue with them then, should’ve learned my lesson). He tried to offer to instead reset the clock on the miles, so again, they were initially trying to rip me off obviously. These people are sooooo dishonest, it’s unbelievable. Go to Volvo Cars of Phoenix instead. Please don’t give these people your business. ALSO, I would recommend looking at the reviews on yelp or another site. It appears that they spend a lot of their energy (read: $$$$) getting rid of negative reviews from Google, but the other sites seem to have more honest reviews from people who had experiences similar to mine.

We bought a Volvo this weekend and had a great experience. When we first got there we were able to walk around and look at cars without being “bothered” buy a sales person. Then when we were ready to get questions answered, our sales guy Ben, was amazing. Honest, informed and friendly. Exactly who you want to buy a car from. The manager Jeremy was super helpful and gave us great care. With his leadership I’m not surprised everyone we encountered was equally as awesome as he was. The entire process was smooth and went at a nice pace. No long dragged out waiting time. The guy who did the final paperwork and check out was organized and got us out quickly. Like clockwork. They had a HUGE selection of cars. We had been to another Volvo dealership with limited stock. The selection at Courtesy is worth a drive.

**update: I just received a call from someone at this dealership (at 9pm) and they explained that they do not control the lease rates, therefore, the lease rate is not their fault. The representative explained the actual lease rate is 6.19%, not 15%. He then asked me to change my 1 star review which I will not do. Instead, I will acquiesce that the lease rate may truly be what he said. However, to get to the numbers we were given (which I will attach if I’m able), there were over $5,000 in hidden fees. So, if you’d rather get manipulated by hidden fees, then maybe you should give this place a second look! I cannot attach the photo of the finance options so I will type it out. Vehicle price: 44,595 (this is for a 36 month lease) Cash down monthly payment $4,000. $779 $7,500. 670 $11,000. 561 $14,500. 452 Lease end purchase option amount $29,217.00 So, I could put $14,500 down on a $45,000 car and I’d still have to pay $452 a month! ** Hidden fees: acquisition fee $995, connect & protect $599, door cup/edge guards $299, end of lease protection $995, lifetime tint $488, NITROGEN FOR LIFE (please someone tell me what this is) $169, paint protection $399 I’m sure this thread is full of people who think they got great deals at this dealership. Poor people. Buyer beware. We were at this dealership today and worked with Karina, who was very sweet, knowledgeable and professional. However, they courtesy at courtesy Volvo ends as soon as they start talking numbers. To keep things brief, we planned to lease a new XC90. A typical interest rate for a lease is 5%. When Karina came back with the numbers, imagine how surprised we were to calculate the interest rate at FIFTEEN percent. Three times what is common. I understand how car dealerships work and I’m no stranger to negotiating, but that is just totally unethical. They lost two potential customers in my husband and myself. If you are planning to lease, PLEASE do your research and know what you should pay before you walk into the dealership. These people will take you for a ride, and not one that you will enjoy.

So basically this was a test on the customer service of this dealer. I called in to make a low offer on one of their used vehicles. Which I knew they won't accept it, but still call in anyway to see how they deal which it; and one of the sales reps told us to make an appointment. He made us think, oh they gonna accept the offer, which was surprising. When we got there he didn't even bother to show up. He wasted our gas and time, he should tell us from the beginning sorry the offer is too low or something like that. That would be cool with us. The moral here is if you have an appointment with customer do your best to show up and always have a clear answer on pricing (Yes or No). Don't waste customers gas and time, if you know that is an NO. Oh, by the way the condition of the used vehicle not even worth the dealer high price tag, the car has too much deep scratches (which can't get rid of unless you paint the car) on it.

Buyer Beware! My wife test drove an XC90 and were really interested in it, ready to move forward, could've purchased that day. My wife asked for the Carfax (our first hint should have been they didn't provide the free Carfax online) and to take it to our mechanic to check over. The salesman (VERY nice, thorough, knowledgeable), Nick, said he'd have to ask his manager because he didn't think they allowed this. This manager not only says no to my wife, but pulled an amazing "mansplaining" routine on why she didn't need to have her mechanic check it out because "once you go through our financing", you have 3 days to return it or some sort of utter nonsense. My wife told him that she wasn't discussing financing when we didn't even know if the car would check out. He rudely repeated it again. Then he tried to claim he wouldn't let us take it to a mechanic because of a liability because "what if something happens to you". Funny, we were there a month before and another salesman almost immediately offered for us to take a random car home overnight with us. We hadn't even given him a license so we could test drive yet. Apparently having it overnight isn't a liability but taking it to the mechanic is. So strange. I emailed the owner, thinking perhaps we just had the misfortune of that particular manager. We were very serious and ready to purchase. I repeated my requests for both the mechanic and Carfax. Never heard back. Again, so strange. So I bit the bullet and paid for the Carfax out of curiosity and because we really did like that car. Ohhh, now everything makes sense. I didn't even know that Carfax will LITERALLY label some cars a lemon. (See screenshots below.) Moral of the story - always watch for flags and ALWAYS check the Carfax. ETA: Not letting me attach pics. Will try later.

A special shout out to Chris Jones my sale guy!! Just a little history about myself. I lost my best friend 7 years and 1 months ago yesterday, he was driving my van when the accident happened. Since then I absolutely HATE car shopping. Yesterday was no exception, I had been to 3 places....and was done. After going home.....done for the day. My best friend fines this town and country!!! Whoo- hoo so far it's amazing and I love it. Anyways, I call your place of business, in which I was on the phone person to person with Chris I believe within 15 min "ROCKIN"!! I just had a very different buying experience in car buying. First, allow me to tell you that I have bought a large number of new cars in my life. I was very close to buying a 2019 Tesla. I liked the looks and things the Tesla would do. But then I stopped and met Jadon Hise at courtesy Volvo, and everything changed for me. The new S-60 I bought was a way better car. But what really happened is I met a salesman, named Jason Hise that didn't try to sell me a car. You have been there with salesmen who push to just make a sale. That's not Jason. He let me sell myself the car. Very politely stood the answering any and all questions and then would show me another feature that would make you smile and feel like Jason gets it. Let the car buyer dell themselves by simply and politely stand by and answer the question. No more push. More hurry up and buy. Just be polite and you will sell the car. That's Jason. I smiled Jason sent me a thank you note and told me he sold 3 cars that day. Stop at courtesy Volvo and find Jason.

Let me start off by saying that Chris, our sales person, was fantastic and that this would have easily been a 5 star review! He made the process easy, painless and a lot more enjoyable than any experience I have ever had when purchasing a car. However, the experience is sadly watered down to an issue with the car I just purchased from them. We bought a used 2018 Ford Expedition from them and only to have to take it to the Ford Dealer for major engine work for issues with the dreaded Timing Chain rattle and Cam phaser issues. I'm highly disappointed in the fact that this happened. This isn't something that can easily be missed. This is a cold start issue, something that a normal person, without being mechanically inclined, can hear or notice the first time the vehicle is turned on for the day. Not sure how it got passed them, even the Ford Dealer was surprised that they let a car like this off the lot or that they even purchased it. Luckily the work is covered under the original powertrain warranty. The vehicle was very reasonably priced, even lower than most places, but I have to wonder if that's why. Heck, if they had been upfront about the issue I still probably would have purchased the vehicle, at least they would have been honest and I would have known what I was getting myself into. I bought a $40k vehicle from them and this problem makes it feels like I bought a $5000 POS from a shady dealer. I bought the car on 8/22 and it's been in service at the Ford dealer since 8/30. That's pretty disappointing. PS. I did call Chris to make him aware and he was very apologetic for this problem, which I greatly appreciate. I am not looking for any kind of financial compensation or anything, but I find it disappointing that those above him don't take the time to give me a call and at the very least I apologize for the inconvenience. Sadly, I doubt I will be back to purchase another vehicle based on this. To me a business shouldn't be judged solely on how they handle all positive outcomes, but how they work with those who might have had a negative experience. UPDATE: I am glad to report that Tim, General Sales Manager, from Courtesy Volvo reached out. Thank you for taking the time to call and work on rectifying/assisting with our issue. I said it before, companies should be judged on how they handle adverse situations and I am glad they did. Thanks for restoring my confidence in your dealership. I'll be sure to stop by soon and personally thank Tim.

Total scam artists! My wife went in to look at a car she was interested in and they completely tried to take advantage of her for being a woman. They looked at the car outside and never gave her a chance to test drive the car. They asked what kind of monthly payments she was looking for and this led to a huge red flag. She wanted payments under $300 per month. But they did not base the financed amount on the asking price of the vehicle, instead they made up their financing only around the $300 per month. The asking price for the car was $16,000 and the offer that the salesman made was $300 for 72 months. If you do the math this equals $21,600!!! This doesnt even account for the $2000 my wife was going to put down. This means they would have stolen an extra $7,600 from her. The interest and taxes were only about $2,200. There were other problems too. My wife had a gut feeling something was wrong and she wanted to leave in order to think about things. The manager accosted her while she was trying to drive away and he was acting aggressive. Courtesy called my wife the next day and said they would be willing to work with us on the price. We both went in and finally drove the car. Then we asked about seeing what kind of price we can work with. They totally lied based on what they said previously over the phone. They said the price is the same as before. We left with the worst car shopping experience and without being scammed for an extra $7,600 over the asking price of the vehicle. Read everything and do the math yourself or they will try to scam you!

Probably the worst customer service in town, Sales man seemed inexperienced, couldn’t find the car advertised, after 30 min of waiting, it turns out the car was already sold. Sales person was arrogant and pretty much told me to leave. I asked to speak to manager and he refused, the sales person was full of smirks and rude. I had my car repainted which they did an ok job and I was supposed to get a car detailed after that and was told that it was detailed before they re painted a certain part of my car, which is hard to believe because it had dirt on the outside and the inside, it was cleaner before I brought it in them, and dirtier when I got my car back.. for some reason there detail department doesn't know how to detail a car.

We have had a terrible experience! We were told our car would be one price and then was charged $6,000 over that price. We have been contacting them daily to discuss this concern with no answer or “dropped” calls. The salesman, Nick, told us added features were included in the price of sale and then we were charged those. We are very unhappy with the service and the amount of fraud that has occurred at this dealership. We will never go back and will be submitting a claim to the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

This is probably the worst place to buy a car from. First of all just because they say over the phone they have a car instock doesn't mean its true. Once I found out the car wasn't there after driving 45 min plus, I agreed to look at something else, but beware of this place, they will add on to the price like crazy! What ever the price is on the window it will go up at least $5k to $7k, and I'm not talking just taxes and doc fees. consider yourself warned before you shop here, this dealership has not moved on with the times they still use old salesman techniques and they will do whatever it takes to bring you in and take you for every penny you got. It's a shame!

This is an ongoing situation with Courtesy so I’ll let you know how it goes once I hear back. Stay tuned... As a loyal Volvo customer and frequent visitor of their service department I had a very disappointing experience with their sales team. I was looking to trade up into a new vehicle and met with their salesman Nick. I’d give him five stars for his approach. He was very courteous (ironic) and patient but not too pushy. Very nice guy but was placed in a difficult position by his sales manager. Story goes we went back and forth on a deal and landed on an agreed price after two days of talks. Once we agreed to a price they sent me a video of the car, asked me to send over some paperwork and confirmed a few items. They explicitly said that “we had a deal” and confirmed the terms with me. We set up an appointment for later that day as I promised I would purchase the car at a specific time when they asked that common question “if we agree to this price can you come in today?” Being the end of the month I’m sure they had some back door incentives which they were banking on hitting. About an hour before the appt the sales manager calls to explain they could not honor their price since they made a mistake. I didn’t haggle as I was looking to see if they would do the honorable thing or renege on their offer. They would not honor their offer. Without much discussion I thanked the sales manager for giving me advanced notice and saving me time but that I would not agree to the new terms. I would have thought that after going back and forth several times that they would have had all the opportunity to re-review their math. Maybe they met their back door incentive needs without having to do our deal. The real trouble I have is if the opposite were to occur and I was really “overpaying” for the car I would bet a shiny penny that I wouldn’t receive a similar call. Goes to show the value of protecting yourself and your interest even when you think your loyalty to the brand and dealership should pay off. Nick being a stand up guy is going up the chain of command to try and save the deal. Stand up guy and wants to honor what the dealership originally promised. Should hear back tomorrow. I’ll let you know how this ends...

My husband and I were greeted by David Blankinship who attentively listened and immediately knew the inventory....He had the perfect new XC60 in mind. He and Brock Roulier quickly put a package together and we were on our way... Whoever walked by was friendly and happy to make conversation. Even the gals at the front desk helped with Volvo On Call. Zero Integrity Dealership! Run, run fast away from this dealership! They are liars, rip-offs, and complete con artists that work together to rip customers off! Read the past reviews carefully, you will see a pattern of adding $4000 to $5000 to cars and try to get away with it very clearly! Complete con-artists from the Sales managers to the sales people, and including the finance guys! They work together, and all know what they are doing! Sales Manager Tim Raspiller, Sales guy Jason Hise, and Finance guy Drew Lewis worked together and added $4000 to the total of the car! Not a finance fee, but an add on to price of the vehicle in hopes that you don’t catch it! Here is the breakdown of the numbers and what happened: My mother in law was purchasing a 2016 Prius for her, my wife, and I to use. The Prius was listed at $14,000 (I am sure you can still look it up, if not I have a picture you can see). My mother in-law has great credit, and Tim Raspiller (Part time Sales Manager and full time Con artist) took over the sales, because when I called Jason Hise (part time car salesmen, and full time con artist) who had helped me the day before (but I did not qualify) was supposedly off, Tim stated that my mother in-law qualified for a payment that would be $333 monthly for 60 months over the phone. When we went down there, Jason Hise was there working?? They started doing the paperwork, and we waited for a full two hours! When we finally went into the finance office, Drew Lewis (part time finance, and full time con artist), he started going through the numbers and everything was fine until….the second to last page which had the numbers! Here are the numbers on a car listed for $14,000 with a $2000 trade in! Interest Rate 8.89% - OK (had agreed) Payment $333.00 monthly – Still thought OK (had agreed on $333 but for 60 months) Amount Financed $18,797.00????? (major red flag!!!) Months Financed 72 Months???? (2nd Major red flag!!!) Total for vehicle including finance charge, minus trade in $24797 Car total price $14000 Taxes and Fees Total $2797 Grand total $16797 Minus Trade in $2000 Total Financed Should Be $14797.00 How did it become $18797.00???? When I asked Drew Lewis where did the extra $4000 dollars come from…at first he acted like he did not understand what happened!! And answered I don’t know!! Sales man and pure con artist Jason Hise tried acting like this is normal!! Me and my mother in-law could not believe it! We have purchase many cars, and never have we experience such underhanded deceit and just amazingly poor integrity!! Read the past reviews, you will see this is a pattern!! Do yourself a favor and buy anywhere else but here! They need to be reported to the Attorney General!

Enter Kameron and Jeremy from Courtesy Volvo. I shared my concerns and my goals and they went to work ensuring that the process and options were a good fit for my timeline and expectations. We worked at the speed of trust which was developed early on. And, in the end, I drove away not just happy, excited. But comfortable that the deal was solid and any future issues would be resolved by this team of people who don’t want to sell one car, but a dozen over the next 25 years. I’m not writing a commercial for them. But for me, they proved smart, intuitive and genuinely concerned that I was happy in the process and with the result. I went to look at the XC 90 which is close to an $80,000 car and they're all outside even though there's a big space to have one in the showroom. The salesman told me that the large space has been empty for weeks and he doesn't understand why there is not one indoors either. So any dealership that thinks it's okay to expect the customer to be outside when it's a 103 and much hotter in the cars on the lot easily has lost their mind and my business forever.

Great team at Courtesy Volvo, from purchase to financing to suggesting the overseas delivery program. You get special factory pricing....actually less than you can purchase through the dealership. Airfare for 2, one night accommodation and a great 3 course dinner. Volvo works with a travel service which arranges your air, hotel, and works out a driving tour. We of course traveled in Sweden, but also spent 3 nights in Copenhagen. You can travel throughout Europe or Scandinavia if you so desire. The reduced car cost subsidized the trip. We had a terrific time!! Long story short, great people, excellent pricing, and a great way to buy a car!

Armand Slason is the best service manage I have ever had the privilege of working with. We met 38 yeas ago and he took care of my family cars for years. We all loved him. We lost touch for a few years when he changed locations. Then one day my daughter call me and said " Mom...I found Armand"! We have been bring him our cars ever since. No one provides the personal service at the level Armand does. He introduced me to his service consultants, Jud and Brian, who have provided the same level of personal service when I bring in my car. They make me feel like I am a valued customer. Today I needed an estimate on a dent repair. Before I left the dent was fixed and my car was washed and spotless. I had had my windshield replaced last week at work and had neglected to remove the blue tape from the windshield. Armand noticed it and had it removed before cleaning the car. That is the kind of person he has always been 110% Thanks Armand, Brian and Jud, I'll be back

My 2003 Volvo S60 died after 10 great years of service. I made the mistake of buying a 2008 BMW 535xi Wagon that spent more time in the shop than on the road. Chris Dee at Courtesy Volvo of Scottsdale got me back on track with a 2016 Volvo S60. Chris took the time and patience to find me a great car for a good price. This dealer is like the dealers of old who actually care about their clients more than selling a car. I highly recommend that you check this place out and if you can talk to Chris. He won't lead you astray. He got me back in the saddle with a nice Volvo S60. I'll take a Volvo any day over a BMW!!!

TERRIBLE experience so far. Day 1(July 1st): Purchased SUV at the end of the day. Signed promissory note stating downpayment funds would be available by Friday July 5th since funds had to be transferred from other accounts. Day 2 (July 2nd): My husband took SUV to the dealer for a computer upgrade and had to wait 4 hours for the work to be completed. Day 3 (July 3rd): Received insufficient funds note from the bank. Imagine my surprise when I was charged $35 for a check that was supposed to be cashed days later per our signed agreement. Day 5(July 5th): Drove to the dealer a third time to get this issue sorted out. Spoke with Mike Cerreta who apologized, mentioned that someone was talking with accounting to understand what went wrong, agreed to refund the $35 and said that he would call me on Monday July 8th with a resolution. Today is Thursday July 11th, and I haven’t received the call, the refund or any type of resolution. Is someone at Courtesy Volvo going to take ownership for this mistake? It doesn’t seem like it and I wouldn’t recommend doing business with them.

Just a warning. Be careful. If they lie over small things they lie over big things. Simply, they didn’t give me my drivers license back. I came back to get it. They swore to me they gave it back to me. They told me I lost it. They said what else can I do for you. I said find my license please. He said “right now, I cannot I gave it back to you.” I told the other people there that I can’t believe he was blaming me and not taking responsibility. I asked if someone else would retrace his footsteps. I asked anyone else work there could help him find the license. No one did anything. I walked back out but then turned around and walked back in because I needed my license. I had to make a stink and then guess what? They found it. I made the statement, really I had to come back in to get it twice. You know you blamed me and I told you not to. Nothing from them. If this happened to you you would not buy a car from them. But it happened to me so be warned.

My vehicle was totaled in a head-on collision, so I was left to find a replacement. I stopped by Courtesy Volvo Cars of Scottsdale to look at a vehicle I was interested in. I was met by Sales Associate, Robby, who immediately grabbed the keys to the vehicle I was looking at and let me take it for a spin. He went over the Carfax and all the components that the vehicle offered. I explained my situation and that I was already re-approved through my credit union. He was very understanding and didn't waste my time with small talk. He handed me off to Frank, who continued to take great care of my buying needs. We worked out a fair deal for my vehicle of choice and I had a seamless and calm experience with the Finance Manager, Mike. I very much appreciate each one of these men for their service and for providing a stress-free environment. I was very apprehensive about purchasing a vehicle through a dealer, but my experience with these men and this dealership was the best I'd had in my 20 years of car buying. I will definitely be back for future purchases!

I was waiting to see an individual about a private sale of a used Jeep. While waiting for him, I turned off the freeway and pulled into the Volvo in Scottsdale just to take a look at the trucks available. While I was out there taking pictures and looking at stickers, Frank McKnight approached me and asked me if I needed any help. He was patient with me answered all my questions and directed me to the trucks that were available on the lot. In most cases like this, someone coming off the street to look at cars probably walks away without any interest, simply a waste time of the dealership’s representative. As it turned out I was lucky Frank was the one outside. The next thing I knew I was taking a Nissan Frontier for a test drive and was very impressed. Frank took me inside to do some paperwork and prepare my offer for the truck. After my first offer was rejected Frank was able to point out the whats and whys my initial offer was rejected and any movement the dealership could do to reduce the price. After another offer Frank came back to me with a final quote which I accepted and he prepped the truck for me. He was professional in all his dealings and I would not hesitate to direct any acqaintance any of mine to him or the dealership. Frank did his job that day and he deserves a checkmark for his service.

Follow up: we had a follow up call, they said they would look at everything to see what went wrong on their end. I'm trusting they will help look at these processes and make it right. I do appreciate that they took our comments seriously and willing to fix the situation Earlier: I wish we would have read the reviews first. They took my son's down payment we had a deal for 289.00 per month and after 2 weeks they call and say his payment will jump to 389.00. And then proceeded to say if we didn't like it we can bring the car back but we would lose our down payment! The salesman knew our financial situation and made us believe we had a good deal and now our choice is to live with a high payment for us or loose our down payment.

We were the only customers there shortly before closing on a Saturday night and were treated poorly. We offered on a used car, then waited a long time while the employee(s) and sales manager laughed a bunch and sat talking. They never responded to our offer, so when the salesperson came out and asked if we could come back tomorrow, we asked if our offer was accepted. Then, we waited while they started laughing again, and more talking while we waited. The whole experience made us very uncomfortable and we felt like we were being laughed at so we left. The sales manager apologized as we left, but we ended up buying from another dealership, where we were treated nicely and with respect. It's too bad because we love Volvos and would have loved to buy a car there.
