Great selection of items they're brats come in almost any combination you can think of meat sticks are amazing ring bologna is very good if you get something from the deli and have to take a number the line is pretty long and it doesn't seem to be well organized the customers that were there when we stop by or very upset about the disorganization of the deli department but it was Fourth of July weekend what do you expect. The place was very busy lots of customers they had some very good deals on their gold medal award winning brats

Our first trip to Louie's. It is the best butcher shop I have ever been in. Great meat selections. We purchased several packages of frozen brats and a dozen fresh brats. Also marinated chicken breasts and butterfly pork chops which we ate today. We felt it was worth the 120 mile round trip drive. I heard about this place several years ago. after having breakfast with a Wisconsin friend who raved about their brats we had to make the trip. We will be back again.

Nice variety of various different meats but HOLY CRAP is this place expensive!!!!!! The expensiveness of their products is a direct correlation to the fact that this is a touristy area and that's where most of their business comes from!!!! I being a local never buy their wayyyyyyyyy overpriced jerky, snack stix, beef stix etc etc etc.... The only thing I buy here is their ground chuck hamburger and that's it!!! Their previously mentioned jerky, snack stix/beef stix etc etc are nothing more than average. I have had far better products at regular run of the mill small town lockers and at far lower prices too!!!! Save your money and find one of these small town meat lockers and get as good if not better products let alone way lower prices!!!!

Good meat, but the cold cuts... I've bought cold cuts from them twice that I realized after getting home were PUTRID (rotten). Stay with their cured meats and you'll be fine.

absolutely one of the finest one off butcher shops left in North America. If you're within 300 miles of this place and you're road tripping you should find a way to come through this town specifically to stop here. Cumberland is well known for food but it's butcher shop is well-known in more than four states. We live in Minnesota but anytime we're headed Northwest through Wisconsin we find a way to pass by here, to fill our freezer with some of the best made Wisconsin bratwurst that exist which by the way in case you're wondering would be some of the best bratwurst that exist outside of Germany. On a busy day you need to take a number, on a quiet day or before school or work is out you can usually just get in and get out easy. Try not to make a meal of the samples on the butcher counter. Yeah they have free samples of some of the most amazing, butcher shop made beef snack sticks, summer sausages, and cheese. During the summer, starting at around 10 a.m. running till around 5 or 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, they have a food truck serving lunch deals with some of the best bratwurst now cooked, ready to eat. On the north end but we have never been there is a full-service Bar and Grill. I mean think about it when was the last time you were capable of buying butcher made custom, fresh bratwurst at 2.99 a pound... I mean really.

This was my first time stopping at Louie's. I actually had called dairy place in Turtle lake because a friend got me some really good hibiscus cheese from there that I wanted to get. I was told by the company that Louie's sells it. When we got there we were pleasantly surprised. It's a really nice store. I was disappointed they didn't have the cheese that I wanted, but I would definitely go back there again. please order this Cheez-Its hibiscus bergamot or something. I don't know all I know but it's amazing!!!

Best sausage, brats, etc. While in the area it's well worth going out your way, but it can get quite busy during peak times. A testament to how good their products are. They offer most of their creations frozen also, which can help beat the line at the meat counter. The quality of their cut meats is also the best in the area, but their brats and sausage products are what set them apart from the rest. Be sure to try the original and Packer brats. Also try the peppie sticks and hunter sausage.

I went to Louie's for meat and for some advice about smoking meats. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. While I didn't get the answers I necessarily wanted I got the right answers and some valuable information. I also picked up a couple of specialty items and some meats that were on sale (after tasting some of their samples). This was my first trip to Louie's, but hopefully not my last. I highly recommend it.

This place is extremely addictive........They offer the finest sausage products this side of Munich. I've been stopping at Louie's on my way to Hayward the past 30+ years. They have everything from the "real deal" Brats (Packer/Jalapeño/Plain, and more) to the best Summer Sausage that I've ever had. Here's a list of my favorites: Hunter Sticks (Landjaeger), Summer Sausage, Packer Brats, Jerky, Ham, Cottage Bacon, and my old fashion favorite served around the holidays is Rolla Pulsa. It's nice that they offer this year round in case I feel like having Christmas in July. You should also pick up a jar of the Alstertor Dusseldorf mustard. adding this on there Brats can't be beat. If you're running late out of the cities, and can't get there by closing time they will process your order and have it waiting at the liquor store that's attached. This is a nice convenience for me. I've never been disappointed.

If you know that you can't get to the store before it closes, you can call in an order - and pick it up at the adjoining Louie's Lodge later into the evening.
