I love this place. It is a great asset to Port Washington. They make some really great sausage here among other things. A few of my favorite items are the liver sausage, mustripen, jerky, hot dogs, and when the hens are producing, the farm fresh eggs. The steaks are not the cheap supermarket discount meats but for the price, I won't buy anything else. We don't do steak often maybe two or three times a month, but when I do its a bone in Ribeye from Bernie's. Also don't forget their pork chops (our favorite), they will ask if you want a rub put on them, and tell them yes because its fantastic. Also I should mention, the owner and all his employees are wonderful people who always take the time to get to know their customers, address them by their first name and give great customer service.

I love everything about this place. Unless it is something super specific (like Ox Tails), I can always find what I am looking for and then some. They have great meat, great beers, and great service. The hours kind of suck and it can be difficult to get to when they are open, but it is worth it if you can. I always walk away with more than I am looking for and I have never regret it.

Fantastic customer service! Which is a lost art. So here it stuck out front and center! They obviously pride themselves at serving their clientele in a proud and genuine way. Ribeyes were to die for. Highly recommend a stop at Bernies!

The keiska is to die for! Made just like the European sausage maker made on Muskego avenue. But make sure you get it fresh never frozen, they will text you when there making it.

Great steaks. Some of them are cut while you wait and the seasoning rub they have is amazing. Brats are good but not sure id say amazing. Also great service and decent prices for a local butcher shop.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and answered my questions as it was the first time I had been to Bernie's. I purchased some of the spicy snack sticks, cheese, crackers and a couple of hard to find beers and the prices were very reasonable and the food was delicious. I'll definitely be going back next time I'm in the area. Highly recommended!

My fiancee and I make the 2 hour drive up to Bernie's a few times a year to stock up on his bacons, his sausages, his summer sausage and many other fine products. All of his meats are top quality and for the price, you can't beat it. He is closed on Sundays and Mondays - and if it's a holiday, you may wanna call ahead just to make sure of what time he's open...but the trip is always worth it.

This is a must stop whenever you are in the Port Washington area. They have saved the best of the traditional butcher shop and have on hand some of the best meats raw, smoked, cooked and prepared ready to go. The Hot Teriyaki Jerky is some of the best. The beer brats are essential for any weekend grill-out and the bacon makes breakfast at home or the campsite somewhere you want to linger. I always stop in at Bernie's whenever I am anywhere near Port Washington.

I had the most amazing Berkshire pork chops from Bernies. I had a $60 steak at a prominent downtown Chicago steak house last week and the quality of Berkshire pork chops meat from Bernies was as good as the high end steak house meat. I have never been disappointed in any meat I have gotten from Bernies.
