Great meats, smoked fish and sausage. Friendly folks, too. I was looking for fresh buffalo steaks and they put me on a “call” list without batting an eyelash. They called me a month later when that inventory came in. I agree with others — the jerky is fresh and flavorful. I get at least some jerky every time I stop by!

Having grown up in Brownsville, Sweeney’s has been a fixture for as long as I can remember - they opened a year before my parents built the home in which I was raised. I’ve not had anything from Sweeney’s that failed to be absolutely excellent. If you are looking for honesty and high quality, look no further. You will find what you seek at Sweeney’s!

The owner was there when I went in. I asked him about his choice for the best meat for a chili recipe. He told me, and I quote, 'if God came down and told me I could only have one meat for the rest of my life, it would be my ground beef.' I just made the best batch of chili of my life with that ground beef. Nothing like someone willing to put their money where their mouth is. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a special type of carnivorous experience.

I should be glad they process big game but they over charge or I should say double charge they don't ask customer choice of cuts I got 10 roasts 3 packs of burger because I had summer sausage and breakfast sausage made common sense would of been a call. I won't be taking anything else back I'll drive to Stewart's or tacoma I've had dozens of big game cut up this was the worst service so far I only hope it don't taste off

Jersey Rules

Unable to speak with basic knowledge about a beef brisket. To not understand the difference between the actual point and the dekle is bizarre. Also unable to really explain to me where some of their meats are sourced.

I know it’s not sexy, but had the best old fashioned hot dogs ever! Great flavor and absolutely the best for roasting over a campfire 4th of July weekend! Brought back great memories. As someone who like to make their own sausages, smoke meat and cheeses and make charcuterie, this is my kind of heaven. I will be back to do more meat purchases in the future! Extremely friendly service!
