Amazing store/butcher. If you are from the UK and are craving Proper British Bacon this is the place. They have loin bacon and an assortment of British sausages, meat pies and products that will warm the heart of any Brit. Their meats are tender, well marbled beef and amazing. They have a smoked cheddar cheese, when it is available, that is smoked perfectly. It is a wonderful place for any serious foodie to visit. AND their prices for the quality of their product are very reasonable. My favorites, their meat pies and sausage rolls, a treat to the taste buds!!! The service is reminiscent of the old family/corner butcher shop, friendly, helpful and they make you feel as if you have been shopping with them for years!!!! P.S. For you Scots out there, they make haggis from scratch and boy is it GOOD!!!! P.P.S. They also carry Branston Pickle, HP Sauce, Heinz Beans. Bisto Gravy granules and Bird's Custard Powder.

Proper British Bacon is an excellent full service butcher (ask for what you need if you don't see it!), providing naturally raised meats. Finding them has been one of the best things about moving to Auburn. We are so used to quality non-factory meat now that the time or two we have relapsed or planned poorly and just grabbed something from the grocery it was frankly, revolting. So,no we're careful to stay stocked up! Really glad you guys are here, for our health and our mealtime happiness, keep it up!

We have a hidden jewel in Southern King County: Proper British Bacon, a perfect little butcher shop like I had in my European upbringing. Delicious pork, chichen, beef... but also a great choice of local and imported food, drinks, and condiments. They even have French Poiré (pear cider)!!!

I am about to leave the country and one of the few things I will really miss is my weekly visit to Proper British Bacon. The bacon is actually better than English bacon!!! (I am English). Fresh farm eggs to go with the bacon and of course fantastic sausages. The steaks are melt in your mouth! Then there's the sausage rolls, various pies etc. If that was not enough there is also a good choice of British products, cheeses, candy. The list goes on ... Thanks guys, I will miss you.

Proper British Bacon is the Best around the sound. Melt in your mouth Steaks, good quality meats & cheeses. I dont even consider buying meat at a grocery store anymore. I am forever a customer. Terrific Shop! Anyone who enjoys English "stuff' needs to visit. They have British bacon, excellent cheese & frozen sausage rolls already to put in the oven. It is a Butcher's Shop w/great meat & sausages! But has so much more - British Beer too!

This shop has everything you want and other things you didn’t know you wanted. Lots of hard-to-find meats—duck, haggis, real bangers, and suet! I’ve looked everywhere for suet for pastries! And that’s not even touching the fresh meat counter. The owners were really welcoming to us and our children and even gave us a sample of the delicious natural jerky he was smoking in the back. (It was so good, we had to buy some—and ate most of it on our way home.) You can bet we’ll be back.

horrible customer service. owner was rude and seemed irritated even though I bought 2 pork bellies that looked like crap when I unwrapped them at home. when I asked him if he'd trim a brisket if I bought it he said "no, you get it in the bag...." Really?!! Blue Max in Puyallup makes this shop look stupid. needless to say I will never return.

Great local store, owners are wonderful, highly recommend. I've known this family for more than 10 years and they not only provide a quality product, their integrity and good nature and service to their community is beyond reproach. When you shop with this owner-operator shop, you are giving back to the community as a whole in so many ways, they definitely "pay it forward". They offer more than just "British Bacon" a full selection of meats, cheeses and other fun items. Its absolutely worth a stop and you won't be disappointed!

Drive by this place on way out to friends house. Finally stopped in and was looking for some pepperoni. Double OMG. Lean, flavorful, and excellent product all around. Have been back for jerky, sausage, party loaf, sausages, sausage and bacon. My sister (Lived in Scotland-Go Navy!) has me pick up product for her when family members are flying back to D.C. As this is the closest to real Haggis they can get this side of the Atlantic. Very accommodating. Have been running late and have called them to let them know was on my way for a "pepperoni run" and had cash ready to go if they were willing to help me at closing. I haven't asked them to push past closing as my small purchases aren't worth paying OT for. Was able to hand the cash, get the pep and not step on the wet floor. Made driving home on 167 and 405 a much happier experience while noshing some good pepperoni! Great place, great goods, great people!

This place is the Bomb!! You want top of the line grass fed beef and beef products this is the place. He also sells growlers of high end IPA’s for very reasonable prices. Raw dog food too. I highly recommend this place.

I really like local butchers, and this place is run by some good people who are obviously dedicated to their craft. I rate 4 stars for one simple reason - they oversalt their Beef Jerky, which would be absolutely great otherwise. High prices are to be expected from local, quality meat butchers - and you get that here, as well as great service. I really like their British Bacon, which is a shoulder cut and more lean than American-style. Fries up really nice. Give them a try, at the very least for trying their take on Bacon.
