Been coming here for a while now and it's been great over the years. I shop here for my dog and cat and use there raw pet food mix as a base for there food. The staff has been really helpful but lately there seems to be some new staff maybe that does not seem to be as good as the normal staff. The pet food mix has been really dry like they have been adding a lot of bone or something. When I ask for certain things with my large orders I have never needed to check to make sure it's right but over the last few months my orders seem to have something wrong each time. This has been an annoyance but I don't think it will effect me from coming back, at least not yet.

I came to your establishment.. To purchase Hamburger and Ribeye... How does one weigh the hamburger and jot down a price without me even seeing how much it weighed nor price per pound on your scale.. To include how U know how much a piece of wrapping paper weigh that you've just torn off. Man I've been doing business with you guys for a while... My purchase wasn't reweighed and it felt Like, "Take it Leave It"!! Type service!! I do appreciate today's business, but I won't be Back.. .The product sells itself; I feel customer service makes everything that much better.. As a paying customer I thought that was my right.. My family loved the meals I prepared with their meat and it has us coming back for more. We've tried the thick sliced pork chops, meatloaf mix is great, the skinless, boneless chicken thighs were so flavorful. I will only purchase my meat selections at Double Dd Meats. Top shelf meats and poultry. A great selection of pork, beef, lamb and chicken. The biggest ham hocks I've ever seen. A huge selection of rubs, bbq sauces, dry soups mixes, hot sauces and more. Always friendly and helpful staff. **Update** I've been here several times and here is an update. The meat selection is what to buy here. Any of it and all of it. However, the pull dates on some of the non-meat items (rubs, injections, sauces, and mustards) are past the best buy date. I found one that was best by 2012. The mustard purchased had no date but had a black ring around the opening. It might be safe to buy items you know they sell a lot of. You may want to steer clear of the intriguing but obscure items.

Great staff and to quality meats and cheeses, plus the largest selection of hot sauces you're likely to find in one place. They offer a selection of traditional cuts, to custom items (including great sausages) and accept special orders/requests. Frequently busy, but can get crazy post commute hour. Even so, the staff is great and handles it with ease. If you like to stock up in advance, be sure to check out their freezer packs for some nice savings.

OK, I am from Nebraska and displaces overpriced for good meat. Plus they do not tell you that certain cuts need to be made specifically ahead of time plus they do not tell you that the butcher actually leaves at 5 o'clock so what is not done in the last hour you'll have to wait till the next day

I come here about twice a week. My dog is on an all raw diet and they have everything I need here except his supplements (Mud Bay). They are usually busy so be prepared to wait or push your way to the front of the counter. They have a big staff, 95% of them are super nice and helpful. The front meat case is typical, great cuts of beef, chicken, and pork. No speciality stuff in case its all in the back freezer. Here they have duck, venison, alligator. I like this section because I can get my dogs hearts, necks, livers, etc. They are so cheap! I stick to the cheaper cuts like ground beef and top round for him but the expensive steaks look so good and MARBLED. Chicken leg quarters are a good price just lots of skin. I love this place I've been going for almost 3 months now.

They have baby back ribs with the most meat on them consistently. There black pepper bacon is the best bacon hand down. And don't even get me started on their sauces. I've gone here for almost 3 years and now I'm no longer going here. I had to take back a pork shoulder a few months ago because it went bad the day after. And now I had to throw away 4 sirloins and 3 pounds of ground beef after it was in my fridge for 2 days after buying it. I opened them and noticed the plastic bags aren't even twisted and are just folded over exposing the meat. I always ask to double bag because they always leak but nothing is ever double bagged. When I went to return the pork shoulder (after calling to see what to do) I never wanted to return meat again because of how I was treated. I was treated like I'm a dumbass and that i dont know how to store my food. One kid said that meat goes bad after a certain time if not prepared and maybe i should freeze it next time. I know how to handle my food. But maybe you should teach your staff how to wrap meats properly.

My husband and I went to check this place out now that we got our deep freezer. Great source for raw dog food. Amazing selection! They have bone already in the ground meats they mix for dogs/pets so you don't really have to worry about it! Organ meats are right next to it and they're all frozen so you don't have to think about anything icky being in it. Friendly, flexible staff with a good sense of humour! If you're a vegan or vegetarian or a plant based food eater, this is not a place for you. If you enjoy great cuts of meat you really need to check this place out. But wait there's more. Cheese's has come again to the deli case. Nothing extravagant cheese wise unless you think smoked cheese is in that category. Then you can get your lunch meat to put in that cheese sandwich. You might need to leave a trail of bread crumbs to find your way back from the ailse of sauces. It's hard to leave this place with out a bag full of meat.

Tried Double DD. Called and asked if they had prime rib roast. They said yes. Went there and asked for prime rib roast and they kept repeating back “rib roast” to me. Asked for 5 pounds and they cut it for me. My wife cooked it today and there is no way it was prime. Very tough meat.

I ❤ Double D meats. They have the best corned beef and pastrami sliced meat ever! We buy the Pizzle for our dog and also beef bones too for her. We have had ribeyes, mmmm and I like their saurbraten gr beef for burgers. Sausages are equally good, I always have to try 2 or 3 different ones. I love the hot sauces! Best choices around. So so...we got a gift of a box of meat for Christmas. The meat tastes good, the wrapping is high quality, but the cutting has been of very poor quality. See the picture. It has 3 pork chops (3, why 3?) And they are all different sizes. The one I am holding up is not even a consistent thickness. I am grateful for the gift, but if I had paid, I would be calling and complaining.

There is a reason that when you go in there on a Saturday afternoon it looks like the betting windows during the Kentucky Derby. Throngs of people loading up on high quality reasonably priced carnivore goodies. The interesting thing here is it's half butcher shop half hot sauce store. Literally thousands of hot sauces to tempt your palate. We buy what's called a locker box. It's a collection of a wide variety frozen meats. Ribeye steaks, bacon, sausage, pot roasts, hamburger, hot dogs all for $114. Comparatively we priced the same amount for $175 at Safeway. You have to see this place to believe how great it is.

BEST place to buy meat, hands down! Always lots of staff working, great cuts of meat, super fresh. Don't buy your meat at the grocery store, it is cheaper and better here!!! Love the tenderloin. Great homemade brats! Even cheeses and thousands of hot sauces and bbq sauces too. You won't be disappointed here!

Lots of choice, fresh and frozen meats - good quality, many varietys of cheeses and cold cuts, along with hundreds of hot sauces and rubs decent prices. And a few other goodies as well. Well worth a trip! (even if just to read the labels of hot sauce - very entertaining!)

Good quality and variety of meats with the largest selection of rubs, sauces, and spices that I've seen in the area. They sell some pre-smoked and prepared meats (such as the house bacon), as well as their own line of sauces. They also have some of the more interesting cuts and animals. This is the shop I'll go to if I have a bunch of people coming over for BBQ. Prices aren't the cheapest, but I know they'll have what I need.

We've been going here for years. Their freezer packs are all outstanding as is their entire selection of bbq sauces and other meats and cheeses. Make sure to give the Hawaiian jerky a try! It's absolutely delectable. And at the holidays reserve a turkey or prime rib.
