The ingredients are high quality (they run their own butcher shop two doors down) and the food tastes fresh and flavorful. Well seasoned and balanced without that overbearing saltyness you find at most Mexican spots. The staff is friendly and welcoming, but the menu is all in Spanish and fairly limited, and the place is part of a slightly run-down strip. Brave these slight annoyances and you'll be rewarded with awesome food at a great price.

A friend walked by this meat market yesterday to find a woman and man in the back of the meat market with all the meat laid out on cardboard boxes trying to defrost it in the sun. My friend said the man was spitting on the ground next to where the meat was laud out!! I told my friend that the health department should have been notified on the spot. Gross!!! Don't they realize how disgusting that is?

Great place for salsas picantes, nopales, ceviche, chiccharones de lonja, chiccarones casera and cola de buey. These are hands down the best tamales in town. My only complaint is that they always run out of the chilli cheese ones. The people here are helpful when I try my best to speak Spanish. I'm learning more and more about different meat names in Spanish. Some of the staff are friendlier than others but for the most part they are helpful and I look forward to coming here.
