We ordered a turkey breast 3 weeks ago and went to get it today. I don't think they had our order in their system but they found a turkey breast for us and de-boned it right then and there. Really great customer service! Store is nice and clean and friendly and they have A HUGE variety of meats and their prices are very very competitive

I purchased the meat pack for $119. the chicken and franks were just pre packed and poor cuts on the chicken sad to say we won't be eating even 1/3 of our purchase. plus to top it off I am pregnant and asked for help out the woman who helped me dropped my meats all over the ground and just picked them up tossed them in my car and didn't even say sorry or anything I couldn't believe it.

My grandma and I purchased a whole beef from a family friend. He used Butcher Boys to cut and wrap the meat. When we went in to fill out the cut sheet, the man we spoke to incredibly rude. He refused to do certain cuts for my grandma (rib steaks vs rib roast, for example), he wouldn't listen to how we wanted the order split, and he treated me like an annoyance when I said I wanted to keep the liver and heart, as well as all the bones to make beef stock. When we picked up the order, the organs were missing and there were hardly any bones (last year I was able to fill an entire shelf of my freezer with bones from a cow raised by the same friend). I asked about the organs and they said I could come back in a couple days to pick them up. When I called a couple days later to make sure they were ready before I drove there, nobody seemed to have any idea what I was talking about. They said they would find my order and call me the next day... they never did. I'm really disappointed that a company that has 50 years experience had such awful customer service and professionalism. I hope to never have to deal with them again.

I've tried going there over the last eight years, I do it out of convenience. However, I've stopped giving chances to these folks.... They literally are THEE rudest, unfriendly, and non costumer orientated place I've been. Taken or business elsewhere, much nicer and friendlier butchers around.. Don't waste your time.

Ordered the deer husband shot with bone in..came boneless and charged for it...so just a bunch of little strips for steaks..... and took 4 weeks, a lot of calls... like the regular shop..will never take deer or elk there again.

I love Butcher Boys. They always have a great selection of meets, the beef cuts are well done, and you can get custom cuts as well. Everything from roasts to steaks. Prime Rib to Porterhouse. They also have a freezer full of prepackaged 1 pound prefrozen grass fed ground beef. I buy all my ground beef here because I know its not going to be contaminated by pink slime. They also sell beef jerky and pepperoni sticks that they make themselves. The jalapeno and cheese is delicious! The people here are friendly, and always willing to help you out with your order. I know some people might have said they can be rude at times, but I've never experienced it.

They are the best around and I've taken meat to all other butchers clean and if you want the best you may have to water busy time of year don't be impatient look how long it took your husband to get that deer

This butcher has good meat at reasonable prices. The employees, however, are rude and lack customer service skills. I went inside, grabbed my stuff from the freezer, and waited patiently as the current customer was paying at the register... then I put my items on the counter. The clerk looked at me, went to the scale to do something, looked at me again as she walked to the meat counter and served another customer. When she came to the register to cash out the other customer, I told her I was there first. She told me to stand aside and she'd get me next. I said forget it, left my items on the counter, and walked out. The clerk is an older woman with white hair worn in pony tails and a heavier but not fat build. I've gotten curt service from her a few times before, but this time was just ridiculous.

This is a must go to shop for all of your needs. When i was a child we raised beef and had these ppl come and slaughter and cut and wrap for us. They did a great job then. Now that i dont raise cattle anymore i still go there for all my beef and chicken and pork needs. Very well priced and the jerky and pepperoni are out of this world. I highly recommend.

I was going to do burgers for my young boys. After waiting in line for service I told the lady I just needed ground beef. She rolled her eyes and told me someone else would be up to help me in a minute, as if "just ground beef" was a waste of time. Besides unfriendly service the prices are high. Ill never go back, take all my business to Tacoma Boys!!

I have gone to this shop since I was a little kid back when it was attached to the Cider Press, I'm 45 now. Great selection, love the jerky and pepperoni sticks as a kid and to this day. Get bones for my dog there and pretty much every other cut of meat as an adult .while the original owners have retired, I still find the current staff ( some are family of the original owners) to be friendly and very knowledgeable .As with any job, I'm sure some customers have experienced a staff member having a bad day, but this has to be the exception and not the rule. 35 years of visits tells me this. Not sure how this butcher is compared to other local butchers in town but it was me and my wife first time ever going to one for meat and the staff was super friendly. They gave us the time that we needed to look around at the variety of meats, cuts, and packages and didn't seem forceful in any way to rush us out. They answered every question we had with no issues and the meat is fresh. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Love the Butcher Boys they've been around on this hill for a long time Bob is a great guy and now has handed it off to his sons which do a wonderful job also if you want good quality beef chicken fish you name it that's where you need to go you pay for what you get and you will get the best they will cut it anyway you will like it you just have to ask don't be bashful butchers are very nice you just need to explain to them what you like pepperoni is always a great snack for the ride home any kind their smoked cheese is excellent pretty much I could name off everything in their whole store it is all awesome thanks for all the good eats personally I think their family packs are great also

Always have great service at Butcher Boys. I have taken both Elk & Deer in there to get butchered. There has only been 1 package of Teriyaki pepperoni that was slightly over salty. However everything else, for many years have been spot on. There pricing is good & have wide assortment of product they are selling. Have to go in & check sometime.

I can't believe how long we lived in Orting before we discovered Butcher boys in Puyallup. We love fresh meats and especially beef stick and when we first tasted their Habanero cheese beef stick, we couldn't believe how good it was. Not too hot, but a good kick and the cheese helps mellow it out a little. That has become our #1 favorite beef stick and we usually go through 2 lbs a week. We also love their Jalapeno summer sausage and I make "pig candy" with their fresh bacon. All natural beef and poultry with no hormones and "junk" that you find in store meat. If you haven't been there yet, you owe it to yourself to check them out. The meats and beefsticks/jerky are out of this world and priced right. Better late than never Butcher Boys, thanks for giving us a wonderful local source for our meat!

Had a pig butchered. Was supposed to be .62 cents a lb cut n wrapped.. went to pick it up and my bill was double that.. there reasonong was curing cost..ok fine but my bacon taste luke crap n my ham is dry. Also still had the skin on it..will never shop here again.

Called before taking part in the meridan traffic epidemic to see if they had a certain cut. The staff was very professional and confidently said they had what I was looking for. Made it the shop and then they decided to verify it was in stock. Several staff attempted to point the one helping me to the place where they keep it. To no avail they were out. My suggestion is to take the drive to Stewart's Meats.

Being from "back east" I am used to getting the real stuff from butcher shops. I was surprised the meat was put in dark bags. I get "for the uv light" , but let me see the meat first. Was is horse meat? Dog meat? Rotting? I wanted to get a good bit of meat for the deep freezer. Seeing I cook professionally, I can do a little more long term stuff etc.. oh well on to the next.

Well I started getting my meat there for smoking. They have really good cuts of meat but kind of pricey and so far when you call them they are rude unprofessional people with no customer skills especially the men they talk to you like they are in a hurry have no time for you and that your stupid. I tried calling them on 12-5-16 about 9:45am about a question I had the guy I spoke too didn't have the time to answer my questions I tried to thank him for his time but hung up on me. What a joke. They need to have a couple of women there that can teach the men about customer service. I only gave them 2 star just because they have couple of women that have customer skills and good meat. Might try and finding a new butcher that can help when you have questions.

Outstand cuts of meat, best pepperoni within 100-miles. It's fresh, meaty, no icky pieces. It's how pepperoni is supposed to be. Go to 7Eleven for yours, this is my secret!!!!!!

We went here for the first time today. I've read a mix of reviews, but had absolutely no issues with customer service. All 3 of the workers who were out on the floor went out of their way to help us. The main lady who helped me (I believe her name was Christine, heard her telling another customer as we were heading out) did amazing at helping me choose out what we were looking for. Everyone recommended the beef Bacon! Since we dont eat pork here, we were beyond excited. Prices are fair. Dog bone prices are a steal!!! And the quality of the meats is top notch! We will be returning soon!!!

I was told this is pasture raised, grass-fed and grass finished beef. The website states that also. When I was there I asked where they got the beef. I was told Painted hills in Oregon. I went to the Painted Hills web site. This is not grass finished beef! Painted hills finishes with grain. It is important for people to know the truth! I am trying to avoid lectins that are in grain fed animals.
