Love the shops in the farmers market! And the PA Country Grill has great food! Such friendly staff!! Seasons Best Bakery has the best desserts & candy! Also the sweetest staff working there!
We love going here. There's always special events going on. Fresh produce awesome people and just fun to look around
Absolutely just love this place!!! ❤️ great friendly people
It was great! We saw alot of talent in the vendors! Everyone was friendly! There was a great variety of vendors. One vendor gave me a beautiful plant..free! I love the events at Farmer's Market! I highly recommend everyone go to the upcoming event's!!
Beautiful area! Great selection of vendors. Fresh vegetables, fruit and plants to buy. The bakery has some very wonderful items to try... Will go back again!
Food festivals not as good as I would have expected. Nice merchants. The crane place though for an ice cream cones whole milk straight from the cow. I think because of the time of the year because of the extreme heat just made a difference in agriculture. I still would recommend this place because other times it's really good.
What a lovely place to stroll. The selection of goods is wonderful not just fresh fruits & veggies but the delicious bakeries, organic grocer and handmade soaps and other items. A great shopping and dining experience.
Such a great place to get organic and fresh food.
Great place for organic and locally grown fruits and vegetables! Great bakery and butcher as well...and don't forget to visit Yoder's Cafe, awesome place for a light lunch!!
Great service and food was awesome
Some prices are pretty darn high! Interesting visit
Hey if you can't find it at one try another, wide selection
Its a little expensive but has good produce
Though it was nice. A lot of businesses were reselling. Not From farm to table items.
I like it I go a few times a year. Its fun to take the kids and get ice cream.
There wasn't much going on in early March. Pretty empty. I've been there during the late spring and summer and there is a lot going on. I would give it 5 stars then.
Beautiful area with wonderful shops.
I really loved this place - at first. All of the vendors are friendly, fun to talk to, and there are great shops and good variety. I especially loved the bakery (makes a delicious "tomato pie" which is a quiche-like pizza). However, there are a couple of really problematic aspects to this place. First, after having several great experiences with purchasing freshly cut meats at the butcher shop, my husband and I got sick from their steaks. At first I thought this was just a freak accident, and even tried to blame the veggies we had for dinner alongside those steaks. However, the following week, when we purchased several cuts of meat, chicken, and tuna steaks, I observed the cashier preparing food, ungloved, and then operating the register without washing her hands between activities. The food she was preparing was rubbing marinade over meat and vegetable kabobs. I was so grossed out I nearly threw up. She literally handed back my credit card covered in marinade. Im now fairly sure that their meat did in fact make us sick. The manager was standing near this cashier and saw nothing wrong with what she was doing - I hate to think what else they do (that I haven't witnessed). Another issue : many of the produce vendors are awesome. Really lovely people that offer local produce - however, I later noticed that some of the vendors were selling produce that had stickers on it. Things like oranges (which I know are definitely not grown locally in VA). Like I said, I really loved this place, for a while. But for the reasons listed above, I grew disenchanted.
Best butcher shop in Virginia. Get some of their ribs.
A variety of local shops in one central location. Open year-round and a pleasant atmosphere. Love spending Saturday afternoons here.
Local produce, butcher shop, flowers and vegetables to plant at home, creamery, everything to shop local for your meal planning. Cute circular walking design means you park in the middle, and walk from your starting point around and back to your car. Walking area resembles a covered porch so you can shop on a rainy day. Open air shops are long standing local farmers tenants. Also gift shops with nice variety. Lots of beach and coastal items....no surprise, it IS Va Beach local, and tourists or locals can find items for their homes. Butcher shop sells meat packages ordered in advance. Great quality. Fun grocery shopping w kids. Started going there w mine over 20 years ago, and now it's cool to shop local. They listed it as a destination for visiting family.
Lovely. Everyone is very nice. And found wonderful trinkets to take home.
Very nice people. Fresh, local products!
Something fresh for everyone. The Princess Anne Grill is delicious too. Nice people. Go there and just walk and browse. You'll find something yummy.
Great place to get fresh product .All the centers are helpful and polite
wonderful products and friendly staff they have a nice variety to choose from and right around the corner from us!
Several venders to shop for fresh produce. Also a meat market that carries a wide variety of meats plus the ecotic. They also serve fresh to order sandwiches. There's a dairy and ice cream shop, a restaurant, health food store, a gift shop and a bakery. Probably missed a few. There is a garden set up in the back we love walking through and say hi to the chickens.
The diner here is one of those "GREAT HIDDEN GEMS"!.. clean, pleasant service, inexpensive and the food was FANTASTIC! ! Top off your meal with a stroll around the farmers market. Great experience. I would definitely make it a stopping point anytime I travel through that part of Virginia.
I love the country grill and definitely go to Gillies ice cream for the kids. They have fresh vegetables and amazing products .
The farmers market on Dam Neck in Virginia Beach is like stepping back in time (in a good way!). Take the family, buy local and enjoy a Virginia Beach experience like no other. P.S. the PA Grill is great for breakfast and the waitstaff is always sweet and greets you like a regular even if you're not!
Very good meat, ice cream was great
They have great holistic and natural/organic options that are locally grown.
I love the natural organic honey they provide.
Great fruit @ veggies friendly plans to return
Has some cool shops. Feels a little too commercial for my tastes. No one who sells anything here actually made/raised it which is the whole point in a farmers market. These people are just trying to profit off the "Farmer's Market" buzz word.
Good stop for veggies, meats, fruits and veggies, even a dessert shoo. Great choices, friendly relaxing atmosphere
We love coming here for our fresh vegetables. The kiddos love the giant chocolate chip cookies.
Great little outting with the kiddos. Quality stuff and good prices. :)
You can find that unique oddball item And fresh vegetables
My first time here. Loved it. Too much to do and get this far from payday BUT I will be back. Met some lovely vendors so helpful in getting what I came for and the soap vendors...how did you know that is my one luxery!?!
Variety of places to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. Don't forget to stop at the Princess Anne Grill for lunch!
Always a pleasure. I always come during the week. The have unique little shops like no one else and fresh local produce. I love the layout and the vibes.
Visited the bakery. Good variety, fair quality, over-priced.
Nice plants and friendly advice.
Love this place and the people there are great.
Some farm stores as well as corporate stores. Watch the day and time because some places are only open on weekends.
No such things as a bad trip to the Farmers Market. Best vendors and love all the options available there.
Love this place! My go to for fabulous jewelry, fresh veggies and fruits
Great place to find something unique. Good food can be found at the Princess Anne Grill.
Small town feel, big town convenient. Charming shops and fun events. A tad pricey, but well worth it for quality and handmade products.
A nice little farmer's market. Some shops open year round.
Great variety of items to choose from and a little restaurant. Try it out.
Some shops are good, some shops are Not!
Very, very nice.
Fresh produce, butcher with great steaks and all different kinds of bakery goods.
Seafood was amazing. The bread pudding is to die for..
S and H is my favorite stand but they're all great! Great seafood and yummy desserts, too :)
Lots of great options
Good place to go to and enjoy the day
Love all the shops at the market! Great way to support local businesses, artists, and food. The prices for the products are fantastic! The addition this year of the ice skating rink is just awesome! My family and I visited the stores and picked out some gifts, then went ice skating, then brought home a tree. Perfect way to start the season!
Good food with fair prices
We enjoy going to Farmers Market for fresh local produce, fresh meat from the butcher shop and seasonal items such as pumpkins and gourds. There are many unique items in the shops for home and for gifts.
Great space but not all the vendors grow their own products. I like Skipper Farms because they do grow their own produce. The butcher, bakery, and creamery are all also great stops with high quality products .
Great selection from several local farmers, ice cream, bakery, butcher, seafood, all on site. Full calendar of activities for all ages.
Good collards greens...around this time of the years .....good season meats as well. .
The Creekmore porduce stand is phenomenal. Miss Sharon and her husband Dione make us feel like family everytime. Great interactions + great produce = well worth the trip!
Grew up going here. Not the same as it used to be but Gilley's ice cream is great. I even try raw corn and it was amazingly sweet.
The different stands offer a great variety of fresh foods.
Great place to walk and get fresh produce and other items. Love the food places.
Very good local veggies, baked goods, gifts, flowers, Amish furniture, and etc.. I love just browsing and having lunch at the restaurant. Plus, if you go on Friday night, you can listen to live music during the summer.
Some take cards and some dont. Not everyone these days carry cash and the first lady was rude
I love the farmers market. It is really close to my house which is great but the staff is always friendly and they have so many options. Make sure to check out their events that they have as well. It gets really busy but they also have been vendors.
Well laid out, nice shops. I would have liked to see a little more variety in produce, such as blue potatoes and purple carrots, but there was quite an assortment otherwise. Friendly service, honest people. You can get everything from fresh fruits and veggies to ice cream. The meat selection was amazing. I took home some elk medallions.
This farmers market is perfect <3 everyone is so helpful and so sweet and I love it
Nice Farmers Market. There are a few vendors with good produce. I like that there is a butcher shop and ice cream shop located here, very convenient. During the Winter its a ghost town because there is no produce.
Great place for fresh produce
I love this place!! Great vendors, great food!
I love this place! I love that I can come here and get fresh vegetables, fruits, and meat. I also love the flower shop there. It's a great place to spend an afternoon.
They have great produce, all of the vendors are nice, really cute shops, and the best part is when they have carnivals or festivals where you can see animals, go on rides, and see more artistic vendors or others selling fun items. I can walk here too which is great for myself and my daughter. Love this place!
Amazing place to take a date and the pa grill is really good food
It was a farmers market with no vegetables! The one place with vegetables didn't take cards. The seafood market has a fresh catch sign out front stating "caught today" with a list of about 8 items. The only thing he had was frozen scallops! So disappointing!
We were there the day after Memorial Day and some places were not open yet. It also had rained the day before so new produce was not available. ..not their fault. We did find everything we needed and a nice visit with Mary at one of the stands.
Great family friendly place amd educational
Love coming here, the quaint stores have lots of things to look at and buy. I buy my local honey there, the gentleman that i spoke wuth was very helpful and knowledgeable!! Right accross the street to a nice park and more shopping plazzas. Farmers market has small carnival set ups all the time. Penny candy is always a good thing to stop and pick up.
Prices are high, but it's nice to walk around and look.
Fresh, local food; pleasant atmosphere; friendly and helpful vendors and staff.
Need to update hours. Arrived and waited for them to open at 8:30 to find out nothing is open till 10:00.
The Princess Anne Diner is our primary destination for good home style cooking at great prices. The ladies are wonderful hosts, we love them!
Great place to be.
Scenic! Lots to find, please go to the butcher's shop!
Great placed for seasonal fruits and veggies. Butcher sells the best Bacon wrapped Jalapeño Poppers ever!
The Farmer's Market has the best farm produce in the area. The quality is what you pay for.
Virginia beach farmers market grill has outstanding food an at reasonable priced. Everyone of the waiter are friendly. A real nice place to eat before dancing to a new band each Friday evening
Fresh, local food. Great restaurant. Wonderful people!
Great selection of Fresh Produce. Good place to take the family on a nice day.
The seafood place had oysters tht NEVER opened whn cooked 2 ways!! Took a pic, hope they refund my $? We will c, will post the results
Great place. Friendly vendors and high quality produce and other homemade creations (soaps, etc). What a great way to support local farmers!
Went in to see what was like and thoroughly enjoyed the numerous building's with everything from a butcher shop to an creamy. We left with ghost peppers and molasses along with a huge pumpkin and met a goat
I love going to the farmers market. We always find the freshest fruit and vegetables. And the butcher shop is great!
Lots of produce to buy at good prices. People are very friendly.
Great prices! Good produce! Great experience!
Great and friendly environment. We went for the first time and it was a pleasant experience! We will definitely be going back!
Great place to shop for local produce.
Unique specialty foods, crafts, and even a Master Gardener's vegetable, pollinators and herb garden.
Local things! Loved this little place. Prices were very fair. Shop vendors were very pleasant and helpful... We will go back!
Really nice area, and offers an array of available market items from local honey and produce to fresh baked breads and ice cream
Great place for family fun.
Great place to grab farmed raised veggies. Gilly's Creamery has fresh homemade ice cream as well as milk, butter, etc.
There was a Craft show, entertainment, food trucks, and an ice skating rink
Great place for local fruit and veggies. Creekmore's Place is the best.
The PA Grill is always worth a visit.
Fresh local food, talented artisans, family events. I really enjoy all the wonderful events this place puts on. A great place to spend the afternoon with the family. Overall one of my favorite places.
I was disappointed. It's permanent location, but not a traditional farmer's market. The prices are higher than Whole Foods and that's saying a lot in itself. It must be a tourist attraction because it's nothing like the farmer's market in Yorktown, VA (which I loved). This one didn't have a lot of variety and many of the vendors sold the same products. However, the bakery was the only redeeming part of my visit. I had the most delicious sweet potato monkey bread (only available on the weekends).
Bought some loose leaf tea today. This was my second visit. Just as helpful as my first time and very knowledgeable. Prices on the the teas I bought were great. Definitely will be returning.
Always a great experience. Great produce and very friendly people.
Pumpkins, lovely Jam and fresh picked Apples..Oh my!! My grandson and I had a fun time shopping and of course there is the Creamery! A fun afternoon outing.
Great little market to pick up produce, soaps, meats and dairy!
Love this place, it has everything you need!
This place is absolutely amazing! I love the produce and prices, and all of the other vendors have such amazing products, also. I highly recommend Flutterby Soap! They are dog friendly! The whole Market is, but you can take your pup into their store and their soaps are AMAZING!
Quaint, creative shops! I strongly encourage supporting small businesses!
Love the produce ,and the little cafe there.
American Lotus in Pungo area.
Gillys is great icecream! Always good flavor options.
Freshest fish you can get without catching it yourself.
So much fun and everthing was wonderful.
Butcher shop has good meat. Not soaked in salt or preservatives and does not have that sliminess of other meat.
PA Grill is awesome. Great food and friendly
Awesome place with cool crafts and delicious and fresh produce.
Great market with super friendly vendors. Mr. Gamble is top notch and has the best seafood prices in town!
Always friendly and product is great
Stupid inexpensive and great quality in every shop. Wonderful craftsman atmosphere.
Great place and staff
My favorite farmer's market in Virginia Beach. You can get everything you need in one place! Flutterby Soap is AMAZING and is highly recommended! The Virginia Organic Market carries Polyface meat and eggs which are delicious! The butcher and creamery are both excellent, and the produce at all the booths is incredible! And while you are in the area, the Amish store next door is a must visit!!
Always helpful. Always organic fresh and wonderful.
Had a great time there everybody was very friendly and cool can't wait to go again
Great selection
Fun. No bargains here, but a nice experience. Good places to eat.
Wonderful place to visit and hang out. Good music on Friday night's. Ice cream is out of this world.
Friendly people and fresh produce.
Nice place for families. Good taste in every store.
I love this farmer’s market. It is my favorite in Hampton Roads. We go here several times a year to get steaks from the butcher shop and sometimes buy produce, pottery, baked goods, ice cream, and gifts for friends and family from the specialty shops. This is a great location and it has plenty of parking inside the circle of the farmer’s market and behind the stores. They have a public restroom and a diner as well. It is shaded as well so that helps a little during the summer time for the sunny days and the winter time if the wind is really chilly. Everyone that works here is friendly (all the shops). They are helpful as well trying to make sure you are finding what you are looking for, if they have it. There are some great prices/deals too especially at the places we frequent here and love the most – amish bake shoppe, butcher shop, and the moosewood creek store (pottery). We can’t wait to go back again.
Love this place, we specifically go for the Oberweis milk from Gilly's but there are plenty of other great shops & produce stands to check out. We love our fresh foods & supporting local business is always a plus!
Everyone is soooo helpful! I'm excited to see this place during the busy season.
They have a great selection of lovely plants and produce, and the homemade ice cream at the creamery is delicious.
I love this farmers market. They always have great produce, and I love going to Flutterby to get soaps and lotions.
Awesome market! Great artisans, vendors and libe music. Something for every one!
They always very friendly and they have the best tomato pie ever!
We enjoy coming here and checking out the local produce. There is always something tasty and fresh.
Always amazing. Auctions are a way to stretch your dollars.
Had a great time, the shops are great and everyone is so friendly! Lots of great finds, really loved the butcher and seafood place! Just a great experience.
I like to stroll the covered walk way around the circle of shops and produce vendors. Summertime, FREE Friday nights live music. Pumpkins galore in fall. Be sure to walk through the educational garden in summer. It's beautiful! They have chickens! Lots of activities all times of the year. - craft shows, carnival, music and more. Local grown produce is great!
Love going to the Virginia Beach Farmers Market! Lots to see and look at. You can get fresh vegetables and fruits that are delicious. One of my favorite stores sells jewelry and I have gotten many beautiful necklaces and earrings there. The ice cream store is always a treat with a good variety of ice cream flavors. There are two restaurants to eat at and both are good for a quick bite and are reasonably priced. There is an Amish store that has homemade desserts like pies and cookies for sale that are yummy. They also sell homemade furniture there. I have taken my grandson when they have a carnival there and he loves going on all the rides. If you haven't been to the Farmers Market you should definitely go! It makes for an enjoyable day!
Had the lunch Blue Plate special at the PA Grill it was very good
Excellent service. Great selection. Go Steelers!
Over priced due to over population best to head to a local ranch or grocery store.
Great place ... but most shops close at 5pm. Makes it hard to get to during the week.
Great place for PRODUCE AND LOCAL food. Be sure to check out the Garden Box!
This is the best place to come and get local fruits, vegetables, and other products. The food at the restaurant is wonderful and a great price too! Creekmore's always has beautiful and delicious produce and Season's Best Bakery has tomato pies and Greek pies that are to die for! Friday nights features music - a good ole hoedown that's fun for all.
