Absolutely delightful. The owner made me goat curry and it was 10/10. I also got some turmeric powder and ginger drink mix. He was professional, courteous and did everything in a timely manner. Very nice guy and I support his business. I caught a glimpse of the back area where he cooks and it was very clean and orderly so no worries there. I would definitely recommend this place and I'll be back when I'm in town.

I went in to pick up some indian spices that didn't have red chili as it's first ingredient. Found lots of selections. Bought a bag of rice. I've now noticed that they have remodeled the outside of the store. I'll need to check it out again inside. A great little food restaurant next door. If you can call carry-out as a restaurant. My son went on a mission trip to India and he was talking to a couple of the customers in the waiting area.

Not only was the gentleman who worked there incredibly kind, but he went out of his way to make it an amazing experience for my brother and I. As we left, we were standing in the parking lot, and he had asked, "do you like rice?". Gave us a big container of rice, on the house! I am pleasantly blown away ny the amazing experience there, and the kindness of the gentleman working. If youre reading this, youre awesome!! You made our day, thank you so so much!!

I happen to love Persian foods and can get almost everything I need at this store. If I wanted American food I'd go to Kroger's or some other, but where else in Lynchburg can I buy the spice, sumac? I'll be a regular customer and hope I run into some Kurdish customers who can teach me how they prepare rice, parboiling, then steaming. So glad we have this market in the Burg.

I felt I needed to post a newer review as there's only 1 for this place and it's outdated and in my opinion inaccurate. Granted they haven't always had the greatest atmosphere but they have progressively gotten better over the years. They are the only legitimate Halal meat market in Lynchburg, and for the most part, it seems much of central Virginia. Their meats are frozen, but good. The beef and chicken are shipped from Chaudry Halal Butchery in North Carolina. The ground beef is so lean and tender, so lean in fact not once have I ever had to drain grease out of it. They carry many indian and arab foods but also American staples such as burger patties, chicken tenders and nuggets, turkey bacon, etc. The main clerk I see all the time is a kind man, although quiet. They stay pretty well stocked, and I highly recommend them to anyone who seeks halal in Lynchburg. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because A) I really wish they would carry more American foods for those not of foreign culture and B) i wish they would bring fresh, unfrozen beef and chicken weekly, as nothing beats that right off the farm tenderness. But all in all they are a great place and they are an essential part of the muslim and hindi communities here in Lynchburg. Recently they also fixed the inside up to be more friendly and atmospheric.
