I called to ask about getting some ham and the woman who answered was EXTREMELY RUDE!!! She said she wouldn't tell me what they have - I had to tell her exactly what I was looking for. I asked about a ham to cook and she snapped at me saying it's too late to cook a ham today! I remained very polite, but she was abrupt and mean. I told her she didn't need to be so rude and she hung up on me! I will not be buying anything from there ever. I will spread the word.

Everything is good but ask about the Bacon Spread. I dead serious. Bacon. Spread. They make their own Chicharrónes that are Waaaaay better than store bought. It's $5 i think for a bag the size of 2 of the regular bag. Crunchy, fresh, lightly seasoned, delicious.

Very disrespectful and rude employees/ owner! I called this establishment at approximately 2:50 p.m. to ask them if they had a particular product the woman on the phone said she had a few more and to come right away. 18 minutes and 15 miles later I had traveled across the James River Bridge to pick up the item and it was nowhere to be found. I asked who, I Now understand to be the owner, where I can find a product and he said that there is none. I let him know that I call Dad to make sure because I'm a came a very long way and I would hate to come so far without what I needed. He just kind of brushed me off and it was clear I was being a nuisance to him. So I picked up some other things that I wanted and went to the register to check out, no sense in wasting 30mile trip. I asked who answered the phone when I called I said that there was a woman that told me that item was there the woman at the register appointed this woman out to me so I asked her, ...ma'am why would you tell me you had the item without checking first?" Right away her husband / the owner began to yell at me and point his finger at me very condescendingly and said that I had no reason to be upset and then I was supposed to be accusing his wife of being malicious and that I should get out of the store. The whole ordeal took approximately 4 minutes who gets that upset with a customer in that short amount of time when they gave out false information? DO NOT SHOP HERE

I’ve been shopping at Jeb’s for years and used to eat there when they had the restaurant. Jeb & his wife & daughter were always extremely nice & helpful. Jeb has done special cuts of meat for me, and has often given advice on what to get & how to cook it. He ‘s taken pre-orders for meat & smoked products & their barbecue sauce & Special sauce is outstanding. It is one of the few places I’ve been able to get large quantities of bones. I’m amazed at some of the comments I’ve read online, because I’ve never had a negative experience or anything but gentle, polite help.

ANTI-MILITARY ESTABLISHMENT: I'll start by saying their meats are top notch, so this is a tough review to write. I went in to buy some meats for my 4th of July cookout and asked if they had a military discount. I was yelled by the Korean cashier for 5 minutes and told that today's soldiers don't do anything so they don't deserve a discount. Then Jeb himself came out from the back and piled on, restating something to the same effect. I will not being going here anymore. Going with my principles over my taste buds.

Owner is not a butcher. l have asked SEVERAL times for cuts of beef and pork and NEVER have my requests been accommodated. A butcher is someone who cuts meat at the customers request. Jeb is not a butcher. He's also very rude. Avoid.

I was in this store for the very first because I heard about. I was there for about twenty minutes just browsing at there selection of meats. I was impressed and was going to bring some family members out to purchase some of jebs meats. As I was leaving, the owner approached me out in the parking and he asked me if he could help me and I said no I was just looking at his products and his reply back was that I made him nervous...for whatever reason I have no clue for him to accuse me of that accusation. He was very rude and disrespectful to a would be potential customer, but not now. I would not spend a dime in his store after that, so I see in other reviews that other customers have complained also about this business

Yea I wish there was a button for won’t stop by again!!!! My friend really wanted to stop by because she was highly recommending there jerky. So we stopped by and since it was my first time we both walked around the little store to see what else they carried. For starters it was very empty, but they look to have one of each meat choice available. Then after our five step tour of the shop we arrived at the counter which we found the Asian lady of the year to help us. So the lady asks “do y’all need help?” like we were just two delinquents who came to waste her time. Which my friend asks her kindly “do y’all still sell jerky?” The Lady then proceeds to this large Tupperware on the counter, and asks “how much you want?” My friend asks “how much is it?” Which a white guy in the back and the Asian lady got historical, yelling at us “nooooooooo you tell us how much you want and we tell you the price......you want half a pound? A pound? Two pounds? How much you want?? My friend looks at me like she’s nervous and didn’t know what just happened and I was just as confused why that question was so serious, so she asks “how much is a pound is?” Asian lady tells us “it’s $26” So we tell them thank you and walk out.

Jeb is the absolute best butcher in the area! His meats are unbelievably good and his smoked chickens.......you can’t beat it! For $5-$6 for a whole smoked chicken it’s better than you can do on your own for the price/time! They are VERY nice in the butcher shop and Jeb will hand you a slice of bacon or something if he’s workin on it and if he sees you haven’t purchased any. I’ve been spending my hard earned money there for about a year now every month and I’m ALWAYS treated with kindness and respect! I have no idea what those complaining about bad service and rude people there. If you give attitude towards somebody than don’t be surprised if you get it back. Jeb & family do excellent work and the food is ALWAYS SURPRISINGLY excellent at taste and tenderness. You won’t get any hormones or chemicals in Jeb’s Meats. Their frozen fresh veggies are VERY good!!! You can get almost all your groceries from Jeb’s and you’ll save money at that and get healthy chemical/hormone-free meats/poultry/pork/vegetables that are better priced than Kroger/Food Lion And MUCH better tasting!!! You WON’T be disappointed!!!!!

Jen's Corner Market is a gem and unique in many ways. The quality and selection of meat and poultry is excellent. Jeb is a master butcher and his wife is an excellent cook. Try their ham or chicken salad, potato salad, pimento cheese salad, as well as the many Korean dishes they offer. The dumplings are delicious. And did I mention the home-made desserts? There is also a restaurant which has an excellent menu. I highly recommend them. You will be glad you did.

I walked in the door to the meat market and new I was in heaven. The aroma of the smoked meats made my mouth water immediately. I met Jeb who was taking a couple of types of sausages out of the smoker. I got sausages and thick country bacon and even some kimchi here the first visit. I love this place & the great meats. The first thing you notice is the delicious smoky smell that comes from them smoking their own products! They have a decent selection of fresh meats, hams, sausages, pork, chicken, and beef. The sausage and ham we bought were very tasy. This is just the small town butcher shop we were looking for. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Will be going back again!

Jeb's is delicious and quaint. It's right off 17 just on the other side of the JRB entering Carrollton. The hours on the website are more of a suggestion and they will close earlier if they don't have people so it's always a good idea to show up about an hour or so before they close if you want to eat. They do sometimes run out of items near closing bc it's a smaller restaurant and they don't want to throw things away but they are rarely out of the staples: pulled pork BBQ, beans, sweet potato salad and sweet tea. They have various items on the menu - some ribs, lots of meats (butcher shop too) and sides. They have house-made sauces that are delicious and homemade goodies as well as authentic Korean menu eats that I've never had before. Run by the family who are friendly and no nonsense. It's worth a stop for some great food and good company.
