I ordered a tuna sub and it was horrible. The bread was hard and the tuna didn't have any mayo mixed in it! I called the store about it and the guy that answered couldn't care less. Basically he told me sometimes it has mayo and sometimes it doesn't, it depends who makes it. Really! That was the most ridiculous response to give a customer. Poor customer service for sure. I won't go back after this..

Perfect for fall and winter is a big bowl of Cardona's homemade soup! I especially loved the Harvest Spicy Quinoa! It was the best! Super great flavors and hearty for a chilly lunch or dinner! Bring it on!

Great little market. Excellent cheese selection. The prepared foods are a great way of grabbing a quick and delicious lunch or dinner. Hidden way in the back is an old fashioned butcher shop where they will hand cut any of their meat or chicken on the spot. Also top quality cold cuts.

This was my first experience at an Italian style deli and I was blown away! A convenience store, grocery store, restaurant, and deli all rolled into a small cozy location with reasonable prices and great service. I had some fantastic Chicken Marsala with baguette along with minestrone soup. The food was awesome! There is limited seating though, as I think most people get food to go or just stop by for a quick bite. Too bad there aren't any places like this where I'm from!

Anyone looking for quality Italian food, including meats, prepared foods, sub sandwiches, cheeses, pastries etc, should look no further than Cardona’s. Don’t even bother getting a sandwich or prepared meal to go anywhere else - this is the best in the Capital District. And the staff? Wow!, they know what they’re doing. Vanessa and Alyssa are so polite and hustle big-time when you ring up your items. It’s busy but friendly and always a good experience. Anthony Cardona runs a top notch place that a lot of people know about. But if you haven’t been there, go now! You will return again and again.

I used Cardona's to cater a party last night, and it was *perfect*. The food was delicious, but in addition, the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Alyssa worked with me to figure out how much to order based on an estimated number of guests, and it worked out great -- we had some food left over, which means we had more than enough for our guests, but not an overwhelming amount. Just right for a day or two of leftovers, but no waste. We also had a pastry platter that was a perfect mix of items that would appeal to everyone, and they were delicious and fresh. Finally, the gentleman who delivered the food was great. He was exactly on time, set up sternos and chafing dishes, and left us all ready for a party. I would absolutely go to Cardona's again for catering. Thanks, guys!

Incredible Italian market, deli, cheesery, food ready to go, their own stuff frozen, like pesto & chicken meatballs. An amazing selection of treats from around the world and of course their own fabulous pastry selection.. You can eat a sandwich or have a hot soup there -- or take a hot ravioli and chicken to go! You can taste any of their 50+ cheeses.

This place is fantastic! A total hidden gem. A classic old school Italian deli/market with the old school counter service for sandwiches, pasta/antipasta favs, and bakery items to boot. The sandwiches are the real star in my limited experience, though I think many of the locals will argue with me on that. Again if you want a hardier meal they have meatballs, pasta, etc as well as a tastey salad selection. The Santini was remarkable (my recommendation), and the Big D is the heavy weight on the menu. Bread was super fresh and crusty outside but soft delectable inside. Baked treats were delish. Super friendly staff and street parking all around. You don't need to take my word for it. All the clientele in line will tell you that you are at the best sandwich shop in all of Albany!! DO NOT PASS UP.

This is a fantastic place where all the personnel is nice and patient! The food is fantastic, we had pasta, chili, several types of sandwiches and they ALL tasted fantastic! You can see that they are taking care of how they make their food! A little bit of onion, a special type of mustard, a bit of time in the oven to warm it up. Small attentions that makes the food taste like home made and delicious!

This Christmas was the first time I ordered from Cardona’s catering menu. I ordered 2 half pans...one roasted vegetables and one eggplant parm ( recommended by a friend). I was disappointed in the roasted veggies. They were more steamed in an aluminum pan then roasted. Very soggy. The eggplant didn’t have enough marinara sauce. I think some extra sauce included would have been nice....just saying. These two items would not be a choice we would make again from the catering menu.

We are in town for a baseball tournament. We live in East Texas, so we are a little out of our element at a place like this. But.....i am sure glad we stopped in for lunch. The staff is friendly and glad to explain the food and even let us have samples of some of the food. After that kind of service how could you pick a bad dish....and we didn't! Spectacular Italian market! I hope the residents of Albany support them well, because they are AWESOME. The cheese selection alone is worth the visit, but they've got so much more. More varieties of stuffed ravioli than I have ever seen. (Pumpkin, lobster, shrimp, butternut squash, etc...). Huge selection of Italian canned good, pastas and deli selections. Delectable pastries (the homemade sugar cookies are amazing). And it's all organized and nicely lit...just an aesthetically pleasing experience overall. Will definitely go back!

Yeah. This place is amazing. The only true Italian deli in Albany, yet it is easily comparable with those at Arthur Avenue in Little Italy. Chicken meatball subs are the best in the game. Very happy to see they bottle their own sauce for you to purchase. Everything from the hot food and sandwiches, fresh meats, and take home dishes are all the best.
