You'd think the name Don's Meats would generally mean you'd expect the same prices across all locations. I was just ripped off for $3.24/lb. for a pork butt roast in Sunset. I've paid $2.29/lb in Syracuse for a year. When I asked about the price difference, there wasn't any interest in working things out, just a lame excuse about how they're managed separately. I won't be back to this location.

I’ve been a customer for years go in to buy some meat, told the manager that I wanted the row of meat on the top right, he proceeds to grab whatever he wants and disagree with everything I say, I will spend the extra time to drive out to Syracuse from now on.

I'm only marking 4 stars because the Syracuse store is so much better. I love selection and the employees at this location, but the building itself is old, small, and kind of stinky. Not a bad butcher shop stink but an old building with bad ventilation and poor drainage kind of stink. I'm seriously concerned that one day the coolers are just going to fall through the floors. I'm a healthy guy, but be advised that this location may be difficult for elderly and/or disabled people to access. There are steps and stoops and stairs and a steep parking lot to boot. This is place could serve as an obstacle course for the elderly Olympics. I only pop in here if I"m in a hurry. Otherwise the location on Antelope is definitely worth the drive. its brighter, bigger, and everything is laid out nicely where you can see it.

I am not one to write reviews because I think it's rather pretentious and dumb. But, the guys at Dons in Sunset kill it. Best butcher shop around. Everyone's super nice, the meat is fantastic, and they have some pretty great bargains. 5 stars no doubt

So far it's been good meat, this is our second time going to the location on N Main and the first time they forgot the C/S or the sausage link so at this time I had to give the place 3 stars. We will go back again and how it works out and update the review.we will check out the Syracuse location to compare both locations, we will get the same 187$ package twice at the Syracuse location has I did here at the N Main location and from there we will make our full review and decision at that point to find out, Out of those too locations, Which does the best by there customers and meats they service. From what I understand only on Thursdays and only the west Jordan location sells grass fed beef so that a disappointing for the other locations and customers.

This place has spoiled me. I can not get anything anywhere else. Ushally when I go to a steak house I will usually get a pasta or somthing else because this place is the best. Yah it might be a little expensive but it is the best stuff ever. A lot of the comments say that the guy in the blue hat is very annoying but he is leaving and said that he would be there again. I also love the customer service, and each of the guys will talk to you one on one. The short guy with the beffy shoulders is my favorite. Love this place!!!!!

Excellent customer service. We bought a prime rib for Christmas this it was amazing. The meat is alway package fresh. All it takes is going in once and you’ll be hooked. We no long buy meat from grocery stores.

Don's meat has great product, but every time I come in to buy anything I have to listen to the guy in the cubs hat complain about everything. I will have to drive the extra 10 minutes to the Syracuse store so I can get great customer service and great meat.

Bought some frozen bratwurst here. When I got home and opened up the package, every single one was broken in half. I've heard good things about their meats, but definitely don't buy your sausage at this place.

The building doesn't look like much, and parking is only okay, but don't let that dissuade you. These guys are the real deal. If you like a huge, tender, delicious steak, you have to try the Las Vegas! This is the best steak I've ever cooked myself. They're around 9 bucks a pound and around a pound and a half each, so bring your walled. Worth every penny. They also have awesome deals on bulk meat. I just bought a front quarter beef for under 3 bucks a pound. You can't even buy hamburger for that at the grocery store! Always fresh, quality meat and plenty of bargains to boot. Highly recommended.

Been going to dons for about a decade. Never had a problem. There was one time went in for a couple racks of ribs. The employee behind the counter said they look at little old I am not going to sell you these ones and was out of ribs.then proceeded to have a employee from another location bring 2 racks up for me. And another time I showed up a couple of minutes past closing time the employee opened back up to let me buy some stuff. Now where do you find that kind of service nowadays? Which is why I prefer going to dons
