Oh wow. Best steaks on earth. I always buy steaks here vs eating out not because it's less expensive (which it is) but because their quality of meat is second to none. Been a weekly customer for years.

BEST STEAKS WE'VE HAD IN YEARS! Bought 4 Kansas City(orNY) steaks & ground for burgers. OH MY GOD! We used very minimal seasons/or marinade & by far the best we all have had in years - from restaurants & grilling ourselves. They'll cut to desired thickness & work within your budget. I've spent more at the grocery stores trying to duplicate a steak night. Will definitely be back. Save your $ & cook your steaks yourselves, you'll be amazed at yourself.

Quick, easy, and simple. I had two hams of Venison processed here and after calling multiple locations in the area this place was the easiest to get a hold of, deal with, and had a quick turn around! Owner is very hands on and very helpful. They are open until 7p on weekdays so it was great to be able to go after getting off work with no stress on my schedule. Two weeks is the usual turn around for processing and I got a call two days after dropping mine off that it was done! I am a no BS kind of guy and don't usually write reviews but I will definitely be going here for all of my processing needs. Owner is very dedicated. Good business is hard to find these days, so this place deserves a shout out. Well done Matador.

For the price we pay, it’s worth it! Employees are informative and right on the spot when it comes to meat questions. My husband and I are done with buying meat from the grocery stores due to added preservatives, dyes, chances of cross contamination, etc. With this butcher shop, they only get their meat from one farm and ONE farm only! We will continue to do business with them and stay with them.

I moved to Plano from Nebraska, so I was thrilled to find a butcher that buys it's meat from Omaha! Matt, Brett and everyone at Matador are very personable and know their product very well. Also, they have a nice selection of wines and local craft beers. If you're looking for the highest quality steaks in the DFW area, I would definitely recommend Matador Meat & Wine.

I go to Matador at least 1-2 times per week. Not only are the meats top notch and the best you will get anywhere, but Matt and the guys & gals that operate the place are simply the best. When you come in you don't feel rushed. The guys give you tons of great info about all of their products, and how to properly cook them. They are always running specials on different meats at different times. I hope this place never goes anywhere. I will absolutely never, ever, get my meats from anywhere else. Ever. This place is as A++++++ as it gets.

Called at 1:50 pm need 3lb round of fresh bratwurst, said all they carried was link. Gentleman sd if you can come in a hour he could have it ready. Great quality got bacon also , aged steaks looked great will be back

I've been buying chicken here for some time now under the impression I've been buying chicken from Windy Meadows Farm. I avoid eating GMO foods and avoid meats that have been raised eating GMO feed. This is very important to me. On my very first visit to Matador Meats I came in and asked for WMF chicken (since they were listed as a place where it was available) and I was shown the fresh split chicken breasts in the display case and told they were $7.49/lb. I've purchased a big batch of this chicken numerous times thinking I was getting Windy Meadows Farm chicken. On one of my recent visits I returned home and noticed on my receipt that I had been charged $10.49/lb rather than the usual $7.49/lb. I called the shop and spoke with Matt (the owner). Matt said it was a mistake, and that the $7.49 chicken was just regular chicken and the WMF stuff was $9.99/lb. So today I visit the shop to get more chicken and specifically ask for WMF. He brings out *frozen* vacuum-sealed breasts and tells me they are $11.99/lb. I asked about it being frozen, and it turns out that ALL the WMF chicken is frozen! So that means I've been getting the regular chicken ALL ALONG, thinking I was buying WMF. And what's with the prices? He told me $9.99 on the phone last week and now I get there this week and it's $11.99. I went ahead and bought a small amount today at $11.99 but after I left I got to thinking about it and the prices seemingly just pulled out of thin air plus them telling me (first visit) that I was buying WMF when it was actually something else just pisses me off.

This is the go-to place for quality meat in West Plano and for South Frisco. Nice selection, reasonable prices, and friendly service. Note the new address. As of April 2017, they're now located a block north of their old location and conveniently across from Cowboy Chicken. New location but same great owners and service. Ample parking.

I first heard of this place through word of mouth, but didn't know what to expect right away. So, I decided to do some searching and found they were on Google +. I read the reviews and decided to pay them a visit. I purchased some fillets, a New York strip, and a rib-eye. The price was fair and the meat was very fresh and of high quality. What really stood out was the staff. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. Matt, one of the owners I believe, was super helpful and game me some advise on some future dishes I wanted to make. He and the other staff were awesome and will be going here for all my meats.

Delicious, aged beef! It takes a minute to adjust when you walk in because the meat isn't as red and "fresh" as I'm used to seeing in the stores. The taste is amazing though and now I'm hooked. Good chicken and seafood I hear as well.

I stopped by today to look for some Spanish style chorizo which they did not carry so I started to look at the wine. I forgot the guys name but he had on a KC Royals Hat. He was very knowledgeable and told me about the 2011 Dunham Cellars Trutina. He wasn’t joking, this wine is amazing. I have never had a red wine so smooth and flavorful. I'll be back, this guy knows his stuff. Great customer service too!

Bought a 2 pound T-bone for our 10th anniversary. A week later my wife is still talking about how tender and great that steak was. So tender and juicy we could cut it with a fork. Still no mention of the gift I gave her. Wagyu beef is coming soon!! Can’t wait
