Fabulous experience! Visiting from Chicago, Crisp interior, servers were on top of things. Steak was phenomenal!

Jeff Relyea

Fancy fancy fancy. Dude actually cut my steak for me. Excellent meal, staff, and establishment. Upscale for sure, so expect the price to fit.

Samantha Nutter

Everything we ordered was delicious!!! The staff was helpful and very knowledgeable. Perfect place for a nice dinner out or a special occasion!

For some unfathomable reason...I had never eaten here. I went on Mother's Day to celebrate a very special Mother and I have to say, the place was awesome! The "Upstairs Dining Area" was an awesome venue for Mother's Day Brunch. The music was great, the atmosphere was perfect, the service was top-notch and the food was to die for. The Rooftop Patio had a live band and there were balloon and facepaint professionals walking around making trinkets for the kids and memorabilia for the mothers. Just had an awesome time, all of us. As to the menu...it is beyond extensive. I would allow some extra time to peruse it and I'd probably plan on asking for help. The staff was very courteous and helpful and I'm sure they'll steer you right.-B

Think I found my favorite steakhouse in Houston! Went for HRW dinner and ordered NY strip with extra charge. All dish was superb and our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable.

Marinko Mandich

Great place for a date night. Food is great. Fillet was very tender and juicy.

Very nice restaurat. Great ambience and cocktail selection. Amazing service with an attentive wait staff. We ordered a round of carpet baggers on a half shell for the table. It was basically an oyster on a half shell with 4 layers of toppings which made even more delicious. There was definitely a thick cut piece of bacon in there some where. This restaurants whole theme is steaks, and also bacon on everything. I ordered the texas wagyu ribeye. It was a decent steak but i was somewhat disappointed because it was my first wagyu. I thought the fat was going to be layered in with the neat itself so that eat bite would just sort of melt in your mouth. That wasn't the case and if you'll look in the picture i took you'll see a large piece of fat on the right side of the steak. There were a couple of other large pieces of fat in The steak. Other parts of the meat was a bit chewy. The meat itself had great flavor and it was cooked to temperature. Mightbjust stick with a regular or dry aged ribeye instead of the wagyu next time. All in all, it was an awesome restaurant.

Great experience! Love this restaurant. Big Thanks to Harmony, she took very good care of us! We'll be back for sure! Highly recommended!

Great food and really good service

My niece and nephew wanted to go here as they are from Austin and had seen on the internet that B&B was supposed to be one of the best steak houses in Texas. Our bill for 5 people was extremely high and then to top it off when I went to sign the bill , they stuck an iPad in front of me and I left my Mont Blanc pen on the table. And as I would have guessed , no one found it. You would have thought after an almost $200.00 tip , they would have returned the pen but obviously not. They lost a lot of business.

Jenn Drews

The food was good and my friends and I enjoyed ourselves. We had the ravioli appetizer, Tony's bacon, and the meatballs, and everyone loved the bacon. For our entrees, we had the filet, salmon, fried pork chop, and chicken shank. Everyone enjoyed their meal, but I thought my pork chop was just okay. The brussel sprout and corn souffle were both good. I had the cheesecake for dessert, and I think it was my favorite part. The carrot cake and bread pudding was really great too. The reason why I gave it such a low rating is because I was up all night sick after my meal. I was the only one out of my group so I'm not sure what it was.

Jake De

Made a reservation. When I arrived they told me they didn't have me in their system. Hostess did nothing to right their wrong. Food was average. The best part of the evening was our server, who was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately that only gets you so far. Definitely will not be returning.

Ray Quinones

Delicious appetizers, awesome ribeye steak, friendly staff, and awesome cheesecake.

Frederick A

The food here was awesome. We were in town from new york and it was a great experience all around. Eric our waiter was awesome. Took the time to go over the entire menu with us and then gave us a list of 5 different places he suggested we try before leaving town. The steak was on point.

Abbigail Yadira

A wonderful discovery. The food was delicious and the service our waiter Mike delivered was excellent. We had a lovely dining experience. Thanks to all the folks that made our evening so nice.

Colby Hannegan

Perfect atmosphere and amazing steak!

Harley Barrett

Wonderfully prepared menu selections. Drinks particular perfectly with the food. Chris is a master of finding the HEART of Houston and wearing it on his sleeve with every dish he prepares. Great ambiance. Great menu. Great culture.

Wendy Douglas-Khin

Great place with amazing food. Everyone is so attentive to the smallest requests.

Jill Travis

B&B Butchers was recommended to me by a few people so I went into the restaurant with high expectations for a Sunday brunch. They did not disappoint. The food, the drinks, and the service= all outstanding. I will be returning and highly recommend visiting them for brunch! (The picture is of their Croque Madame)

I wish I could give 4.5 stars. I had the lunch, steak au poivre with Mac and lump crab. Reason it’s not 5 stars is the sauce on the steak. I was expecting a creamy peppercorn sauce but instead the sauce to me was something unexpected and not a creamy peppercorn sauce. The potato’s are well portioned a bit al dente seasoned well on the outside but the potato itself is a bit bland with a slight hint of garlic. The crab meat on the Mac does taste good but it just rests on top and I don’t believe anything was done to it, maybe toss it in a light sauce or something? I might skip the crab next time but the Mac was the highlight, delicious. Bartender was friendly, skilled, and knowledgeable, I believe his name is Bret. Valet when you arrive and attire seems to be fit for a sports coat or higher. A definite must go to in Houston!

Gloria Miranda

Great Customer service, but the food and the price doesn't compare to Taste of Texas. Food was decent but not worth the price.

Corey Robinson

Filet was literally the best I’ve had.

brica burris

decor was delightful. for was great with hearty portions. service was top notch. they kept the tables clean and the drinks full and answered any menu questions with pleasure. traffic was easy on a Sunday and parking was as well.

richard juby

Excellent from walking in the door until you walk out... If you go ask for a table that Steven waits on... He has an incredible knowledge of the menu and a wonderful personality... The food is prepared absolutely to perfection... Served meticulously.. Terrific wine menu for both glass and or bottle.. AND REAL coffee...not some THIN imitation from a machine some place...

Peavy Resale

Made reservations for Friday Night at 7:30 for my wife’s birthday dinner. When we arrived on time, we waited 15 minutes for our table. When sat, we were less than arms reach between 2 other tables...absolutely no privacy. As this was our first experience here at this restaurant, I was expecting the waiter to be more cordial and explain the menu or concept, but our waiter opened with what can I get you? Very disappointed in our waiter and his service. He was never around when we needed something either. The only upside to the experience was the food. Although very pricey, it was very tasty. Just wished our waiter could have suggested things to order. To end the night, our valet brought us the wrong car. Just an overall disaster of a night.

Eat Go See

Instagram: @eatgosee Modern, stylish wine bar and restaurant in Washington Heights. It’s flexible enough that it would be a good business entertaining or for romantic dinners (eg date night). My impression is it is not a great place to bring children. HIGHLIGHTS: extensive spirits selection especially whiskies, great friendly chatty bar staff if you sit at the bar, good cocktails, large elevated booths for group eating, large wine selection.

Edwin Kelley

Food was so delicious.

If you are in Houston and would like to have a nice meal, whether it be the seafood or steak (or both) - this is the spot. Friendly service, nice ambience and tasty food make this a go-to place.

Dawn Callahan

Fancy brunch. At least that how I felt as soon as I entered. I was there as soon as it opened and immediately wondered if I was dressed appropriately in yoga pants. I was. The staff was pleasure and the atmosphere is open and relaxing. My guests were very late so I enjoyed coffee and an amazing pastry tray. When I was finally allowed to eat, yum! Delicious food and reasonably priced. As my current guests left, I made room for round two for drinks with another guest. Two waiters and five hours later, I made my way out with plans to return again soon.

James Saultz

The drinks, appetizer and food were excellent. Had the fried pork chop, which is something you have to have at least once. The chef Tommy's bacon appetizer is absolutely awesome. Just don't get your dessert to go. They cut it down to half size basically to fit in their to go box.

Lorenzo Cesar

The wagyu carpaccio and Kobe were amazing

Tim J

Excellent and professional service. Our waiter made us feel very welcome. The T-Bone was absolutely beautiful. A perfect place to have a birthday party or date. 10/10 would recommend all day.

Diana Apsey

My first time there and it was good, but not great. Had the salmon as part of HRW. It was dry and not as flavorful as I had expected. However, the chocolate cake was probably the best I've ever had. Nice atmosphere and view of the city.

ldmb89 .

We came here for my birthday and immediately they made us feel like home. Our server was extremely knowledgeable on the cuts and temperature our cuts of meat should be cooked at. I had the A5 Kobe Ribeye medium rare and I was amazed at how tender the steak was. It's an experience like no other. My wife had the filet mignon also medium rare and it was delicious. The appetizers were on a different level, we had crab stuffed shrimp wrapped in bacon in a house made sauce and the scallops with lentils which were so soft and tender. Everything about this place was incredible. We will definitely be coming back soon

John McGill

Everything from their cocktails to dessert was delicious. Waitstaff is very helpful, friendly, and professional. We had quite a few questions about the steaks and a gentleman who was not our server and had other tables to take care of took time to explain everything to us in detail and make sure we felt good with our order. Can’t recommend enough.

Steven Johnson

It was very nice in side and the peaple was very friendly

Carol Rodriguez

Very disappointed with the food. The place it self is very nice, friendly staff and pretty environment. However the food was very bland. We ordered the meatballs appetizer and they were ok the burger was also ok. My husband had the steak and it was very bland. This restaurant is not cheap so I expect the food to taste amazing and unfortunately it was nowhere near. The cheesecake is delicious but it is not made there and is ordered from Brooklyn. I don't think I would even go for a second time because of how bland everything was. Best way to describe it is the food tasted like nice hotel room service. This is supposed to be a steak house the steak should have been excellent, Salt grass has way better tasting steak.

Exportcity Group

Good food, great atmosphere, ceiling remind me of Dublin pub, interior cowboy Texan mixed with expose ceiling RETRO modern style, cigar bar and full bar all blended into fun festive place. Second floor perfect for private or corporate event.

Jonathan Bahena

This place never fails, if steak is what you're craving this is the place to go. From appetizers to entrees are top of the line as well as service, and the ambiance is spectacular. I was so mesmerized by the steaks that I forgot to take a picture of the sides. But try the garlic whipped potatoes and Brussels sprouts they are delicious!

Adam Foard

"Butcher" Shop: really just a deli with a few steaks for sale. They are super nice high end dry aged steaks, but that's all they got outside of deli meats. The deli stuff is high end as well. Menu and food are fantastic. Was just disappointed that it wasn't actually a full fledged butcher.

Dan Linger

Fantastic experience. So many great and creative options for food and all done expertly. Service was superb and I already look forward to my next visit.

ssg zamarron

They were booked up for the entire day with reservations, but let us eat at the bar with no wait time. Best filet mignon I’ve ever had, and soup was great. My girlfriend has the ravioli which was cold (idk if it’s suppose to be like that), and a burger which was suppose to be medium but came back extremely well done unfortunately.....service was great and carrot cake was good. Will come back and try A5 soon

chris00nj .

Amazing food! Best steak I ever had. Staff is great Attire is business casual - typical is khakis and button down shirts for guys, casual dress for the ladies.

Leslie Lasiewski

While I really enjoyed my meal, there were a couple of things that weren't up to par. First, the Cantonese Cauliflower sounds better than it is. It seems out of place on a steakhouse menu. The veggies were a little too charred for my taste. Also, I ordered the prime rib with Yorkshire Pudding. the prime rib was good but the Yorkshire Pudding was WAY over cooked, almost burnt. My husband's ribeye was superb! The bacon appetizer was honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten. I WISH I could remember our waiter's name!! He was awesome!! Big guy with a beard upstairs. He was phenomenal. He even topped off our evening with a tour of the butcher area and cooler where they dry-age all the meats. We were celebrating our anniversary and overall it was a really wonderful evening. The bread pudding was DIVINE!!!

Clay Schneider

Great atmosphere, impeccable service and insanely tasty steak. Waiter was extremely knowledgeable and explained all the options, as the menu is a bit overwhelming if it's your first time there. Tried A5 Waigu beef and their 40oz porterhouse. The waiter even found the address for a local beer we tried and did research on whether or not we could buy more in bulk.

Mark Roden

I'd read many good things about this place. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to them. Steaks were tough and not particularly flavorful. Eggs Benedict were gussied up so much you couldn't recognize them and the slab bacon and the mystery meat on them were tough. Generally good service except they forgot one thing we ordered for the table and we had to remind them of that. I won't be going back.

Tori Richards

Everything we had at B&B Butchers was delicious. We went during lunchtime for a business lunch and tried several of their appetizers, all were excellent. Our waiter, Marcus, was very nice and attentive. Their Houston Restaurants Weeks menu is a great way to try several of their tasty dishes. One of the owners came by at the end of our meal to see how we liked everything. He was very kind and genuinely cared about how our experience was. Will definitely be coming back!

Jonathan Rodrigues

EXCELLENT environment great location and very well designed resturant love the second story seating and the upstairs patio as well. Food was prepared top perfection and everything came out in a timely manner. Servers were great at making sure drinks were full and were very attentive overall a wonderful experience

Ralph Jayson

This restaurant has a very amazing setup, decent tables, chairs, foods, and staff. They offer lots of different choices of foods but I was only able to eat their burger during our visit because I am still so full at that time but it was really delicious and good tasting patties and everything follows. Looking forward to visiting this place again. A 5-star rating to this restaurant!

Jennifer Swanson

The atmosphere is beautiful, the service was great, clean restuarant and one of a kind dishes. With that being said, I do believe some of the items on the menu are overly priced (my opinion). I do recommend this restaurant with the advice of carefully choose what you order and pay attention to the prices($9 for a small simple potato and $14 regular mac n cheese). Enjoy the decor as it fits the particular history of the building. And DO NOT feel forced to pay valet when the entire parking lot is blocked for valet spots, and the valet driver doesnt even break a sweat because its a few steps from the door(ridiculous).

Chris Velasquez

This place is the best restaurant in Houston! The building is extremely vintage but has an upscale vibe to it. The service is outstanding and the food is out of this world! I recommend the meatballs or steak tartare for an appetizer. The 10oz Filet Mignon and Wasabi crusted Tuna are great options for the main course. As sides I recommend the B&B Mac and Cheese or Garlic Whipped Potatoes. For dessert I suggest the Berry Butter Cake, you can tell it is home made. This place was so great that I went back within the week to try it again. I can't wait for my next visit!

Mia Chieng

The Shirley temple mocktail was amazing and the Texas wahyu beef was simply awesome. Service was top notch.

Carol Brouwer

Awesome setting, food and service!

Kathy Frazee

Awesome place. Food is above and beyond and so is the service. Staff very professional and knowledgeable. Will totally recommend.

Johnnie Thomas

BEST MAC AND CHEESE IN TOWN!! The atmosphere is a great place as well, live music and great food. Perfect.

Gillian Charity

We really enjoy IT. Part of it is the experiences tied to eating here. We usually go here just before a show at the Hobby Center or other downtown event. The kids love it and have fond memories. The staff are great. Food is excellent. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like. Give it a try. Build more memories!

Andres Galarraga

Went here for our anniversary, it's very fine dining. Great food, nice waitstaff and good ambiance.

Aaron Griffin

Had a bacon slab with Bleu cheese and honey glaze, bacon wrapped shrimp, Texas Wagyu rare, and a NY Strip medium rare and their Elijah Craig barrel picks. Everything was beyond excellent and worth every penny. Richard our server was amazing as were the other staff who all made an attempt to check in on us and our experience. Thanks for a great evening!

Mariana Sueiras

Service excellent and food is fantastic everything we order was excellent.

Moses Laney

The atmosphere is nice, the staff is friendly, and the prices are good. Now that that's out of the way, let's focus on the food! Oh my goodness, but the food is delicious. The menu has a lot of different choices, and you cannot go wrong with any of them. Everyone in our party tried something different and each person loved their dish and shared it with others. All the food was well prepared and presented. The flavors in each were very rich and filling. We will definitely come back to this location!

Parking: Ample amount of parking. Hostess: kind of missing a little common sense Waitress: Lorene (sp?) Sweet, good at her job HRW Lunch: Started with the Soup of the day: Mushroom, fresh creamy soup with small chunks of mushroom, I tasted portobello and porcini. The 10oz. burger was huge, could feed 2, but it was just okay. Great quantity, good quality beef, but where's the flavor? The cheesecake, you haaaaaaave to get the cheesecake. If you've ever make a cheesecake, you know there are a million ways it can go wrong, but this was so fluffy, so creamy, and so indulgent. The graham cracker base was perfect; not too plain, not too sweet. A million stars for the cake. 4 stars for $/food. Yay, I'm a fan

Days Happy

This is very good stake house. Air aged beef was excellent, and side dishes were good too.

Clemore Henry

Ambiance is great, food and drink choices had a good variety, multiple menu items you can chose from to enjoy. I was here a Sunday which had a lice band performing which adds to the ambiance. The service was great my waiter took time explain multiple items on the menu and add a few of his favorites. I will definitely return !

Kelsey Morrill

We had high expectations, which is why we came here for a birthday dinner. Even though I stated the occasion on the reservation, we were still seated at a less than desirable table very close to our neighbors. Because of this, we were able to see the service being provided by our waiter to those next to us and could tell we were being neglected. It took a very long time between being sat and having our order taken. We were never explained the menu or anything about the restaurant, so maybe that's why we ended up getting a very chewy medium rare steak? The flavor was there, but texture was definitely off and we spent our evening chewing rather than talking. I'm a melt in-your-mouth filet mignon kind of person, not chew so I don't choke. Long story short, I guess the concept really isn't our style, so next time we're sticking with Brenner's on the Bayou.

Caro Norris

Excellent food! Excellent service! The BLT salad was delightfully different and surprising, and the steak was probably the best I've ever had! Daniel was an outstanding server, very attentive, engaging, and knowledgeable about the menu and the history of the restaurant. Paden also was at the top of his game, and was eager to be certain I was never left waiting for even a drink of water. I felt very special! Thank you so much, B&B Butchers! We'll be back for sure!

Stephanie Nguyen

I came here for HRW 2019 lunch and I was extremely thrilled to finally try this place. It's been on my bucket list for a good while now and I've been seeing wonderful reviews. Unfortunately, during lunch is not the best time to come. HRW dinner gives you a wider range of options. Because this place is known for the meats, I would expect them to know how to cook the meat. My friend and I ordered the following: Meatballs Raviolis The Butcher shop burger cooked medium well Reuben The meatballs were tender, happy about those. the sauce was not overly salty and gave the meat some good flavor. It was basically a plate of 3 meatballs, the size of golf balls. The complimentary bread on the table was perfect for this appetizer. The raviolis were okay. I liked the texture on these but the meat was overly grinded making it taste grainy. Some parts tasted a bit too chewy also. I wish there was something fresh to go with this appetizer. It was straight up carbs and protein. The butcher shop burger was a recommendation. Who wouldn't want a beautiful burger with applewood bacon? I asked for this to be cooked medium well and this burger was rare in the middle. The fries were large and lacked seasoning. If the burger were cooked properly, I'm sure I'd have a better experience here. The reuben was good but greasy. I felt like paying an extra $10 for this was a little much, but that's okay. Coleslaw was a great addition to the entree. After my meal, I was only thinking about my burger. I was sad that it was underdone and my server definitely saw it but did not say anything. The ambience was classic from the white linen tops, wine glasses, and folded napkins. The male host was a great greeter. Valet is also available. I would probably try dinner next time in hopes for a different experience.

Serena Cheng

My friends and I went for HRW. We were seated fairly quick. We reserved to sit outside and it was a bit hot even though they had fans. Our server was super friendly and helpful. She was also very patient with us. She helped sort the dishes when it got mixed up a bit. Everything tasted amazing. Highly recommend.

stan Chapman

If you are comming here to eat. Ask for Vic Clark!! The best waiter I have ever had. And I have had some good ones.

Kaleena Burns

I love their location, close enough to downtown to make a dinner reservation after work, but plenty of parking. Delicious steaks, love purchasing their dry aged cuts and cooking at home. Good service, tasty side items, and standard desserts. 4 stars because their dining room in poorly planned. It’s cafeteria style which makes it unbelievably loud. Not a good place to entertain clients or for an evening outing for two. If you can score the private chef table, it’s well worth it!!

Diamond Johnson

NOT A 5 STAR RATING! NOT A 5 STAR RATING! My experience here was not at all what I expected. I had a few friends fly in to town for the weekend and so I wanted to show them a good time. I know how much they love steak so I googled some good steak house (Ones that I haven’t already been to). This restaurant pops up and had a great 4 almost 5 star rating so I was like yes this is it. Upon being seated we were greeted by our not so friendly waitress.(it almost felt as if she didn’t wanna be there that day.) We ordered a 20oz steak and 3 sides. We waited for quite some time for the food and once it arrived I thought it was gonna be hot and delicious but instead it was lukewarm and not to mention the sides(Garlic Mashed Potatoes & Sautéed Spinach)were a bit salty. I’m upset about my experience and don’t know if I’ll return in the future.

Rob R

Our server, Drew, was aces. He totally made our night with how funny and engaging he was and he was very knowledgeable about the menu and restaurant history. Be sure to keep him around! The food was delicious. We were a party of 9 and we treated this almost like a family style, passing around plates with everyone trying all the different things we ordered which was quite a bit. I had the Texas Wagyu Fillet. I will say that higher end places like this don't tend to put much (if any?) seasoning which I prefer to have but the meat was excellent and cooked perfectly and I added an oscar topping to add more flavor. My hubs had the brussels sprouts that I didn't care for but's only because they use balsamic and I'm not a balsamic fan but he loved them. The garlic potatoes were delicious and a friend had the mac and cheese which was also delicious. The table bread with the herbs...had I not been in a food coma at the end I would have asked for some to go! My wine glass was constantly being refilled (much appreciated!) and I never felt like someone was too far away in case we needed anything. I looked at some of the negative reviews on here and noticed so many of them mentioned the cost when they received their final bill and I'm over like...yeah...they post the prices on the menu, how are you shocked about how high your bill is? LOL We were there for about 3 hours and we all enjoyed every minute of it. P.S. I highly recommend their dessert coffee Carajillo 43. I've never heard of it before but someone at our table ordered it and let me taste it...OMG it was sooo good!

Shane Morris

If you want to eat a fantastic vegan meal, this is the place to do it. All the cattle are 100% vegan. All jokes aside, the steaks here are incredible. Their dry-aging process makes the steaks funky, a bit like adding a super-subtle charcuterie flavor. The staff is excellent, the cocktails are winners, and if you like wine, their list is equally impressive.

Lea Gonzales

I order a steak Medium cook, and it was completely raw in the middle. When I said something, all they did was bring me back the same steak I had already cut in half. Which made it completely dry. You would think if you’re paying THAT much money they’d bring a new steak considering they’re the ones who made the mistake. All in all, the meal was unappetizing, and was not a good first experience. Would not eat here again.

Lauren Fischer

Very savory. The service here is great. The place has a great feel to it.

Chelsea Murfree

We came for a date night, and to try their unique bacon appetizer. While the bacon was a disappointment the rest of the meal was amazing. Alittle pricey for the neighborhood but great regardless. Will check out the rooftop next time.

Josh

Great service- okay food- no space! This was my third trip to B&B, and as always the service is fantastic and attentive. The food is good; however, it was difficult to enjoy as it seems they have attempted to squeeze as many tables into the space as possible. There was about 2 inches between my side and the back of the gentleman at the table next to me. I and my friend were jostled and bumped into by servers attempting to reach other tables. Management might claim they are trying to maximize the space so more people can enjoy the food; however, it results in a negative experience for those of us sitting. It is difficult to enjoy your $60.00+ steak when you are struck by a passing waiter every 90 seconds.

Manish Butte

Delicious food, no doubt. Conventional steaks, ultra high end steaks, seafood, and a few, sad, overpriced vegetarian entrees (do not come here if you are vegetarian!). The bacon three-ways app is out of this world. Steaks are perfectly prepared, but is that really so hard? Great but not excellent sides, excellent expensive wine list. There's utterly no innovation here, it's just good solid expensive delicious meat-based food. We waited about 30 min for our table despite reservations. It's crowded and loud here. Service is good but not at par to the prices -- waited quite a while for my water to be refilled (1st world problem, I know, but the prices!), asked for extra bread for mussels to no avail. This is an expense account place, not a special occasion place for a meal that actually matters to you.

Stacey Green

Great location to meet with friends. The staff was very friendly and kind. The bill was fair for the quality of the food.

Anthony Turpin

Amazing food, amazing wait staff and most of all it has an amazing atmosphere

Carol Harkins

I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. The A5 Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture steak was delicious beyond description. Just amazing. We ate on the upstairs deck, which was quite pleasant with ceiling fans. We also enjoyed the view of the Houston skyline. Outstanding!

Nguyen Duy

I go here for lunch and for experience a5 kobe steak, the atmosphere here quite really upscale. Kobe beef really excellent, only it's very expensive. Menu range here are wide from beef to seafood and others, price are acceptable for everything. Recommended restaurant for all people especially people who love experience upscale atmosphere

Our weekly Greek Men’s Lunch decided to try B&B Butchers since it is Houston Restaurant Weeks. Boy, what a winner! From the meatballs, wedge salad and brisket ravioli to the steak salad, hamburgers and bone-in ground steak...no one was disappointed. (That is not easy with this crowd. We’ve been going to a new restaurant every week since we all retired. That’s been 7 years for some of us. Hardly ever are we all impressed with our “choice of the week”.) We all had to have dessert...carrot cake, gelatos and bread pudding. Once again...crowd pleasers Our servers Arturo and Christina were friendly and attentive. An empty plate needing to be removed or glass needing to be refilled went unnoticed. To make a wonderful lunch even more perfect we had a chance to visit with Manfred Jachmich. What a gracious host and so interesting to learn of his background in the Houston restaurant “world” and the many famous restaurants he has established.

Adam McWilliams

A buddy and I happen to be in Houston, and we found this place via the all mighty google. Neither of us are trained food critics so please do not read this as a professional review. It is a persons experience at a wonderful restaraunt. We were there at 11:15am on a Wednesday, and the service was above reproach. Our primary server was Ryan, and he was able to make some delightful suggestions. I ordered the filet off of the lunch menu that was encrusted with bleu cheese, and a side of garlic whipped potatoes. Everything was cooked perfectly, and there was no issue whatsoever with how well the steak was flavored. I will be taking my family here the next time I happen to be in Houston.

Michael Marquez

Every bite was absolutely delicious!

John Pozadzides

This evening I shared a meal at B&B with friends. Our bill came to $498 after tax and tip, and this included steaks all around, a couple of drinks and a couple of appetizers. I mention this for reference, not out of surprise. I’m not unaccustomed to this type of fine dining. But let’s face it, there should be some big differences between an “upscale” steakhouse and say Texas Roadhouse for 1/4 the price. Key areas of differentiation would include quality of ingredients, expertise of preparation, service and ambiance (as far as I’m concerned). B&B does some things well, but in my experience had some very key failures - which I will enumerate here: 1) This is obviously a busy eatery. And I’m sure they want to serve as many people as possible - but they packed tables so tightly in the dining area that there literally isn’t room to walk through without upsetting people trying to enjoy a meal. If you want to go to the bathroom it’s like you’re at a movie theatre. Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me. A larger table was positioned behind one member of my dining party and she complained that the waiter “kept rubbing his butt against me continuously “. I mean, even the waitstaff can’t serve patrons without being disruptive. Beyond that, the interior is nice but in no way exceptional, so the ambiance is a pretty big fail. 2) As far as quality is concerned, you could tell they sourced ingredients well. And the menu offered a number of original items that sound like they would be appealing - but unfortunately were also a missed opportunity. - Chef Tommy’s Bacon is a supposedly high quality cut of bacon, with blue cheese and truffle infused honey. Problem is, you think you’re ordering a bacon dish but all you can taste is blue cheese. Zero bacon flavor. - The Calamari is decent from a flavor and texture perspective, but it’s served in what I can only describe as a soup bowl along with metal serving tongs. Everything gets crushed and the breading is falling off. - The $82 Butcher’s Butter Wagyu steak is indeed a high quality piece of meat, but enjoyment is hampered by a combination of extremely dull steak knife, and a cut of meat that seems to “unravel” instead of slice cleanly when you want to take a bite. The steaks were however all cooked perfectly to order. I’ll stop here, but suffice it to say that everything is just a little (or a lot) off. 3) As far as service is concerned, our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and professional, and the “team” seemed to assist well. The pace of delivery of items (drinks, soup, appetizers, main course, etc.) was all spot on. The only issue with service really stemmed from I guess the desensitization of the fact the staff was rubbing up against people who were trying to enjoy a meal. A few tweaks to the menu, some sharp knives, and a little more breathing room for patrons could make a huge difference in the experience. And if this was Texas Roadhouse perhaps these things wouldn’t matter so much. But at these prices expectations need to be met, and B&B has to make some decisions about how they’re going to address these deficiencies.

Hard to find a better steak in town!

The lamb chops are absolutely heavenly. The staff are always amazingly attentive and friendly. Every time we've gone, the owner has come out and asked us how our dinner was. They obviously care a lot about their service here, and it shows.

Durin LoTR

Beef was excellent, price is pretty high scale. Ambience very noisy, no much space between tables. Large selection of wine

I came here on a Saturday evening with my wife, my buddy and his girlfriend. They offer complimentary valet and ample parking. Brandon was our server and he was polite, amiable, attentive and expedient. The ambiance of the establishment is perfect combination "relaxed elegance." The food at B&B is hands down AMAZING. We started off with the Bacon 3 Ways and the Carpet Bagger On The Half Shell. The Bacon 3 Ways was delicious because, well, bacon. The Carpet Bagger on the Half Shell was also delicious, the buffalo sauce addition was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the T-Bone 20 oz dry aged USDA prime steak with truffle butter and it was prepared to perfection. I like my steaks bloody so the "rare" order worked out perfectly. I also ordered a side of B&B Mac & Cheese. Not sure why I ordered a side with a 20 oz steak but, when in Rome, am I right? Full disclosure, the Mac & Cheese is the best side on the menu imho. We got a sampling of the desert menu; Chocolate Cake, Carrot Cake, Flaming Baked Alaska and Berry Butter Cake. You can't go wrong with any of the desert options we ordered, they were all scrumptious. Hands down, a five star dining experience all around. We'll be back for sure!

Easy to get to using Uber, lots of free parking, great service, the staff were very knowledgeable about the current menu and what would be best paired with what. I also saw kitchen staff come out to speak with the service staff several times explaining to each other the food and best pairings. The food was fast fresh, and just how I asked for it. If you come bring your appetite and eat slowly enjoying every bite I spent two wonderful hours here eating.

Thomas McConathy

Excellent steak house with a friendly staff and tasty sides.

Kevin McElroy

Really good food, not exceptional. The service was excellent, except that I had to ask for bread. Definitely priced like a 5 Star Steakhouse, but a rung lower than the others in Houston. The Salad BLT was phenomenal. Never had anything quite like it. Large enough to share. The steak, while really good, was not quite up to par with the other fine dining establishments.

Shawna Noriega

Great food and the best steak in Houston! Ask for Marlene for attentive, great service

Stephanie Roberts

Fantastic food and impeccable service! I am still thinking about the lamb chops. Stellar service and staff that make it a true dining experience. Even my mother who is a vegetarian was able to find items on the menu that she loved.

Kevin Astala

Great unique steakhouse with delicious dry aged cuts and wagyu. Our waiter Ryan was great and be sure to try the bacon chocolate chip cookie!

Chandra Wells

Just wasn't happy, none in ribery had a foul taste and smell. Very supprised!

Rachel Morisey

Best eating experience in town. The upstairs patio has an excellent atmosphere and full view of the city. The downstairs eating area has a great ambience and is perfect for a dinner meeting or an evening date. The food and service is superb. Be sure and request Jason for your server to receive an excellent experience.

Oliver Brown

This is the worst steakhouse ever. When asking a server to place extra seasoning on the steak his response was “you want more salt.” Then they burned the steak because I asked for iron crusted. The meat smelled like burnt flesh. To make a bad situation terrible, the toilets were broken for the men’s room and offered us to go across the street.

Chase Hall

Steak was delicious, cocktails were generous. Wait staff was attentive and appetizers were good.

Sarah

We (group of co-workers/friends) visited for Houston Restaurant week. This place is outstanding. The wait staff down to the presentation of the food. Be warned dress code is more upscale/business dress. We found out the hard way that we were underdressed. However no one made us feel unwelcome. Overall I rate this place 5 stars. Best thing on menu, Bacon appetizer.

Anthony Suarez

The Best bone In rib eye steak , I've ever tasted! Excellent service!

Mamie Boyd

Came to have the HRW menu. Not disappointed. I started with the bacon. I've only had bacon this thick and sweet at Publican's in Chicago. My husband had the Caesar salad, so we shared our apps. His was a typical salad. Then I had the 8 oz filet with Roquefort crust cooked medium well because I like pink not red. It was perfectly cooked. Would've liked some juice or sauce with it, but oh well. Hubby had the salmon and it was definitely a home run. For dessert, I had the cheesecake and he had the open face ice cream sandwich. His was so-so but mine was delish. They could've added more raspberry sauce to my cheesecake to make it absolutely perfect. Waiter was very attentive - not invasive or pushy.

Javier Mestre

great place for steak lovers

Janet Drones

Thanks Hamid Adraqui for being such a great hospitality professional. Your service was outstanding. The food is to die for and the atmosphere is awesome. Will make a return trip.

Ty Harris

Amazing service, great food, and an awesome atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Lillian Akers

What a neat mother's day eve brunch w/my son, daughter-in-law, her mother and 2 grandchildren and 1 friend. Simply delicious was the monkey bread. Each had something different w/only 1 complaint. Not about the food or service but personal taste. Thank you to the staff who was always available when needed. It was everything we were told it would be and even more. Thank you for upscale, clean, neat restrooms. It makes a lady feel at home. (4.9 star because I was taught that no matter how good, there's still room for some improvement. However, at this time I don't know what it would be.)

Da Gualtieri

Wow, they have a very nice upstairs patio .. the two things I never know about B&B butcher.... 1) very cool patio... "feels like we are in a different country, European feel to it" 2) they have a deli butcher shop as on the side, excellent deli sandwiches to go or steaks to cook at home. Lucchese and team did a great job, making the evening an enjoyable experience. Good job guys!

Trevor Profitt

I had a group of 15. They were very accommodating. Staff was friendly, service was great, and the food was amazing in my opinion. No complaints at all!

I’m a bit torn as I write this review. First, let’s start with the good— The service here was awesome, which I value greatly in today’s society. We were late because of traffic and they accommodated us on a busy Saturday night. The appetizers we chose (Oysters on the half shell, and Scallops served on a bed of lentils) were very good, and I really liked the way the scallops and lentils played into one another, a fresh take on scallops, which melted like butter, while the lentils added some texture to the dish. The sides serve 2 and were delicious (garlic whipped potatoes and broccoli) and the creme brûlée was the highlight of our meal. The not so good— My steak, the bone in NY Strip, was full of fat and grissle, I almost thought of sending it back. My husbands sirloin was ok but was a bit tough even for that cut. The steaks are the star of this place and they fell horribly short of expectation. We travel all over the country and have hit some of the best steakhouses in many major cities and the steak here just didn’t do it for me. It even Left me thinking “do people like this place because the menu is expensive and they think they should”. My wine, the Acumen Cabernet, smelled acidic and tasted like a glass of yellowtail, not a $20 glass of wine. They didn’t present the label or ask me to taste before they poured the bottle either. The oysters, although good, were not very “meaty” and were a whopping $20 for a half dozen. Our bill with tip was $260, which is what you would expect to pay for a nice steakhouse, however, we were seated next to people with a child in a stroller and a plastic fireman helmet on top of the purse rack next to them and most people were dressed in jeans, so the ambience kind of ruined the experience as well, although I will say that I like the modern industrial take on this building. All in all, I’ve had far superior meals for nearly $300 even though the service was great and the side items stood out, I just couldn’t justify going back here.

Adam Ruggles

That calamari tho

Juan Celestial

This place is totally awesome. Food was great and the people there were awesome. I especially love this place because they are very pro law enforcement. They will always have my loyalty!

Dad776 .

The food was good but I was very disappointed in the $120 4 oz. A5 waygu steak. I’ve heard this restaurant is only 1 of 9 in the U.S. that serves A5 waygu beef. Plus form what I’ve heard from others A5 waygu is the best steak they’d ever had where it melts in your mouth like butter. That was not the case with my steak. I got it medium rare but the meat definitely did not melt in my mouth.

Sara Chaarawi

Great atmosphere, great service, great food. Tried the lamb bacon but regretted it because it was too thick and fatty for my taste. Also tried the steak tartare which was good. I wish the egg wasn't mixed up but on top for me to mix. Finally had the A5 Kobe Beef which was a great experience!

Greg Andrews

Excellent food, great service and a perfect breakaway date location! Visited here twice during HRW. The wait staff are prompt, courteous and more than attentive without being pushy. The food is amazing and prepared with attention to the finest details. The creamed spinach is to die for! Thanks to Manfred for stopping by on both visits to check on us and our experiences!! Will he back.

Texans Astros

Great place to find a good cut of meat. The restaurant in back serves quality food. I'd recommend taking a date there.

Scarlett Giles

Staff is always timely even when they have a full house. Nothing but enjoyable experiences here. Kinda of like a place in Houston that I enjoyed.

Megan Jennifer

Best place in houston for service ,food ,pricing and great experience!

Brandon Burnett

This place is a true gem in the Houston area. The fine cuts of meat are second to none in the area, possibly anywhere. I was lucky enough to dine on the terrace and the views of downtown were amazing. The staff works as a team and there is constantly someone there to provide drinks, clean, or answer questions. I ordered the recommended appetizers, main course, and sides. Every single one was beautifully presented, tasted even better, and was just as described by the waitress. This is a must try, especially for steak lovers.

Linda Poyner

Service was top notch and the food incredibly tasty!!

Very unique steak house. Love their design from outside and inside. I came in from the butcher side of the Restaraunt, and you have to enter a freezer looking door I thought They were kidding. But it's was very fun and exciting. Their inside decor was very traditional, looks pretty fancy. But I guess they have to entertain a lot of guest. Our seats are very crowded and narrow, I feel like I'm dining with the guest sitting next to me. The sévices is lack of attention. They are slow, hard to get to and brought the wrong water to me twice. I'm trying to be more understanding because they are super busy. But I feel like they are like robots, didn't pay attention to us at all. However the waitress for the next table seems to be very attentive. We tried the houston Restaraunt menu, I have to say Thur are super generous about their food. I didn't order the bacon as appetizer but my neighbors came and we got scared of the 3 jumbo pork belly bacon. So we decide to go little light. Ravioli was good, but maybe too stuffy for my taste. Salad was nothing special. My filet mignon was excellent. Super soft when you order rare. Literally melt in your mouth. We want to be little adventurous so we orders the fried chicken pork chop. It was very dry, I didn't feel like sending food back today but I should have. My friend who orders that before told me They are not support to be like that so maybe they are too busy? Guess I will have to go again to find out. Desert is pretty good. Overall I might give it a second try and go for the regular menu.

James Webb

Delicious, perfectly cooked steak and exceptional service! We had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday. The staff is very friendly and personable, and we probably had 3-4 different people ask if we needed anything. We will definitely be back soon!

Amber Williams

Quick, helpful, and friendly service. This place has an awesome feel to it.

Kyle Saunders

I really liked the place. Very friendly service and nice vibe. I had a burger for lunch and it was great. Drinks were also good. They had issues with their payment system at the bar and were very apologetic and offered free cocktails while I waited. Solid place to stop.

Kervin James

Had Sunday dinner with friends and first time to B&B Butchers & Restaurant...definitely fine dining and everything was cooked to perfection. I had a 10 oz filet and my wife had a blackened Salmon and both were delicious with great sides and the best dang chocolate cake wow! This is a place to dine at often, definitely a a Top 3 spot for sure! Highly recommend and I cannot wait to go back!

Christopher Dawkins

AMAZING food! Great service.

eugene lawley

Nice bartender/wait person. Drove 500 miles for the "so called" Best club sandwich in the world.. NOT!!! In fact nor even close. Just flat out ordinary. And at 21.00 bucks after drink and tip,,,, it ain't even ordinary. Considering price, I give it a C-. Trust me, it's the truth.

Anca Iancu

Very good !! This was for my husband's birthday, and give us a delicious cake. It's a must come!

Ashley Moreno

Great service and food.

Jesica Pereira

Love the food! Employees are helpful and friendly

Jonathan Limbouris

Phenomenal restaurant and experience! Food was terrific, service was top notch. Get the carpet bagger oyster appetizer.

Eric Wilcox

Used the Houston restaurant week to introduce myself to an amazing dinner. Selection of outstanding Steak choices was perfect. Service impeccable! So delighted we chose to have a fabulous dinner experience here. Will absolutely be back!

Coraline Wheeler

My first time visiting here was yesterday for Easter brunch. It lived up to it's well known reputation. We were a table of 6. Even though it was clearly a very busy time, we never felt rushed and always felt attended to by the very well presented, friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. We dined upstairs and enjoyed the live music playing on the patio. Although it was busy, I felt we could all talk with easy, despite the noise. The decor is a superb blend of sophisticated rustic, with a chic Texan undertone. A very well decorated establishment, which only adds to the warmth of a truly great ambiance and atmosphere. The menu is well crafted with many delicious options to tease any palette. The drinks were beautifully mixed and refreshing, with a wide range of options being offered. True to reputation, the food was exquisite!! The parking is free with a very well organized complimentary valet service being provided. I look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Sherwin Noorian

The staff, especially our server William, provided highly professional and skilled service which resulted in a relaxed and enjoyable brunch experience for our group.

Wayne Matthews

Excellent food and great service. The "bacon 3 ways" was amazing.

Robert Braden

Great service and food. Tried the 55 day dry aged prime ribeye and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Knowledgeable friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Will be back again.

Derek H

The space is excellent and the experience is usually very enjoyable and fun. The menu however is all over the place and has some gimmicky items. I personally wish they would narrow in on their strengths and cut out the excess, and also get some better coffee.

Scott Angle

Great food really good steaks. Iam mean really good steaks

Stephanie Howard

Service is typically great. The bill was fair I would say. I see why this place has so many good reviews.

Michael Maloney

Lunch Visit: Pros: Clean, Professional Staff, Modern Comfort Ambient, Diverse Menu. For appetizers we had Carpet Bagger on Half Shell, Chef Tommy's Bacon, and a Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Shrimp. Each one was delicious. The Truffle Burger was cook to a very good medium-rare and the onion jam, truffle butter and truffle aioli we excellent. I will definately come back and hop around on the menu. Cons: Steak fries were uneventful, I would recommend an alternative.

Andrew Lennig

My wife and I visited here at the end of restaurant week, and everything was amazing! We sat upstairs on the newly enclosed terrace just as the sun was going down. It was a little warm, but much better than being completely outside. All the wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The cocktails came out quickly and very well balanced. The food was the real winner. Chef Tommy's bacon is a must have! The filet was perfectly cooked and dessert was light and tasty. Overall an amazing dinner and well worth every penny. We'll definitely be going back outside of restaurant week. Reservations are highly recommended, but there's also ample seating at both bars for couples or small groups.

Anthony Boudreaux

This place rocks! Best food and service in town!

Monica de la Cerda

Invited a friend/co-worker to a birthday lunch for Houston Restaurant Weeks (HRW) and it was not only delicious but the service was exceptional. Brandon S. was our server and his attentiveness was welcoming and cordial. I highly recommend you include B&B Butchers on your tour of HRW or any other day of the year.

Kevin V

We went for Houston Restaurant Week, so it was absolutely packed, which is understandable. We thought we were smart by making reservations but since it was so crowded, we didn't get seated until 20 minutes after our reservation time. It was a bit annoying to have them offer reservations but not be prepared to time them effectively due to the HRW crowds. After being seated it took another 10 minutes for a server to come over and introduce himself and take drink orders. Every other table also got bread and we didn't, so we had to specifically ask for it. After the rocky start everything was great. Food was delicious and service was more prompt, however I don't think I'll be back. Overall great food and atmosphere, but was disappointed with the service. Again I understand it was very busy but don't offer reservations if you can't accommodate them.

Rachael Sampson

I wanted a steakhouse to take my boyfriend for his birthday and we have been to Houstons Restaurant many times and wanted to try something different. After reading many great reviews we decided to eat at B&B Butchers & Restaurant. We should have stuck with Houstons. We ordered the Carpetbagger appetizer per our waiters suggestion (Oscar was great!). It was a huge slice of "bacon", steak, and fried oyster covered in blue cheese and buffalo sauce. This was NOT a good combination. For entrees we ordered the 10oz filet mignon and 22oz New York Strip. Both steaks were highly under-seasoned and rather tough to eat. When I am paying $50+ for a steak I expect it to cut like butter, and this was more like backyard bbq. For people who enjoy the taste of the beef alone, you may prefer these steaks. I personally love seasoning on my steaks and was disappointed to find B&Bs does not have a signature rub. I guess I should have bought the $15 toppings to add some flavor. Although the meal was a disappointment to me, I do have some good things to say about B&Bs. Both the drink and food menus are fairly large for a high end steakhouse, giving you lots of options. The building and ambiance was very nice and romantic. All of the staff were very kind and quick to check on us. The food also came out very fast. The steaks were really high quality, just not prepared to the same standards.

J D

Great space for a wedding reception. Great customer service! Great food.

Cat Shena

Our food and waiter,Richard was awesome. First time going for brunch, loved the ambiance, and the key lime pie amd bread pudding were just delish! Def. coming back

Stefanie Shannon

The service here is better than most.

Carol Lampton

My husband and I recently went here for our anniversary dinner. Everything was amazing. The service was excellent, the wine was great, and the carpet bagger appetizer was one of the best things I’ve eaten. Thanks for making our night so special.

William Texas

This was my first time there. The burger I had was good but my wedge salad was so-so. The now closed Sullivan's had the best wedge salad I've ever had. The dessing was good but they had a special icebox and the lettuce was so cold throughout and that made it awesome! I've never had that at any other Houston steakhouse's wedge salad.

Zsa Jordan

Love Love Love! The food and service are always impeccable! Chef Tommy's Bacon is to-die for... literally! I hate blue cheese but the combination of flavors are magical. I highly recommend for a date night or even happy hour!

Yolanda Donley

Hostess, Servers and Bartenders are top notch. Enjoyed the aged bone-in Ribeye!!! Reservations strongly recommended, (my 1st experience was a Friday eve @7:30) but it looked like you could grab a small table or seating in the bar area if you were patient & making a last minute decision to dine there. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the upstairs dining room! The attention to detail (purse stand for those who needed them and attentiveness of re-folding your napkin if you needed to step away during your meal) was appreciated. Wine and beer selection was impressive.

Thai Le

Me and my girlfriend went for HRW. The bacon and beef ravioli was okay, nothing amazing to write home about. Unfortunately the same could be said about their steaks. We had the 10oz sirloin and 22oz dry aged ribeye. Maybe it was an off day but I can’t say that it was worth it for the price that this restaurant commanded. I thought the ribeye was good and a little over cooked but still very juicy. And the sirloin was just okay. Truth be told the steaks was probably soured by the appetizer that we had ordered. The waiter recommended the corn soufflé so we ordered it. The soufflé had a very intense bitter aftertaste that we couldn’t shake off. We were able to take the item off our ticket but by this time the food quality wasn’t off to a great start. For desserts, we had the chocolate cake and creamer brûlée. Could not go wrong here because we both liked these desserts to start off with.

Brady Kelley

Was a pretty nice place. My first time there was a private event upstairs. The employees were great and the food was pretty good as well. Valet parking was complementary. Not sure if that is a regular thing or not. Overall I really enjoyed my experience there.

seth eslami

Over Rated. I’ve been here a few times. My first experiences were normal and didn’t inspire me to write a review. But my recent visit was disappointing enough to make me write a review. The first impression is a rude valet parking driver. He seemed pretty comfortable at his position and close enough with the management not to worry about quality of service. Our waitress was good but she was overworked and did not spend much time with us. It took over 20 minutes just to get some bread on the table. The food was fine while my ice tea was so strong that made feel sick. I still give them a 3 star just because I could see most people were having a good time and a manager was checking on them. Unfortunately our table wasn’t big enough to worth the Managers attention.

Ana Vangelena

I enjoyed this place tonight awesome food, Oscar was a great waiter.. good sides, steaks where great..

Efrain Jaimes

My Waiter Brandon was outstanding. Atmosphere amazing thank you Brandon Table #333

Collin Myers

Quite good, although the prices reflect the quality of the food. Our service was fairly slow, however.

Scott Davis

Medium rare filet was not rare but well done, baked potato was overcooked, service was adequate. This is my least favorite steakhouse in Houston and I won’t be back.
