Ahhhh! It's the best! Go here now! I had 5 things off the menu and all of them blew me away.

Steven Shelton

Never disappoints. Anything. Pick anything. It will be excellent.

cam johnson

Love it. Great burger, great charcuterie, great whiskey list.

Chris Morgan

This is one of my go to places. Great local food with an upscale flair. Beer and cocktail choices are great. You can also grab some local butcher cuts and cheeses to take home with you if you want to whip up your own creations.

Miller Brown

One of my favorite restaurants in Chattanooga, not to mention a spectacular butchers shop. Could not recommend enough

Frank Rouse

Wonderful attentive staff and some great steaks and sides. The fried cauliflower was amazing as well as the collard greens. We had a meat plate for a starter and it was very well presented and delicious. We'll be back.

Ashley ballezzi

I NEVER leave reviews for places, but this food was just so fanatasic I really couldn't help but share it with everyone! Definitely try the pototoe salad! Seriously amazing!

Nathanael Zurinsky

The food was amazing and reasonably priced! They also had a nice selection of local brews on tap if you are in to craft beers and specialty drinks. One of the sides that we tried was the potato salad which is served hot and it was to die for, best potato salad I've ever had (sorry Granny). Both my wife and I are going to go back the next time that we are in Chattanooga, definitely worth the stop whether you are passing through or visiting.

Kathryn Primm DVM

Amazing. The quality of the food reminds me of a much larger metropolitan area. Tastes subtle and delicate. If you like local and sustainable, you need to try it.

K C

My only regret is not trying sooner. Service, food (as well as presentation even), atmosphere, prices, all A+

Paul Andreason

Excellent food. The potato salad is delightful, the Reuben is made with pastrami and the rye bread was tangy, toasty and buttery($11). The fries are salted with flake salt and fried in tallow. The fries are like chewy thick potato chips-this is a good thing ($5). Of note, an 8 oz bottle of diet Coke is $3.50, but other than that, it was well worth it. By the way, the best deal on the menu is biscuit and gravy with an egg ($7). The sausage gravy and biscuit were divine, the egg too. The entries are served without side dishes. Bon appetit!

devin wildey

Food was fantastic, our server Jen was great. Drinks also great. Would've been 5 stars if burger was cooked like requested.

Briana Garrison

We ate there for a Sunday lunch. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was quick and friendly. While they did not have a kids menu posted on the menu itself, they quickly offered up what their unwritten kids menu includes and that is a plain burger and a "lunchable" made with baguette slices, deli meat (salami, pepperoni, or prosciutto), deli cheese, and jelly. The kids loved it and we loved our burger and bologna sandwich.

Savannah Jones

I love everything about this place! It is spotless and open. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. I expected it to be intimidating for a woman new to buying from a butcher but the men are very kind and go above and beyond to help pick out the right cuts! It is the best looking meat I have ever seen and I can tell a difference in taste!

zachary peters

Went in today for some 50 day dry aged steaks ... haven't tried yet but the reason for the 2 star is they would not cut marrow bones lengthwise no reason given just can't right now . No one was inline behind me? Called Don's from the parking lot said he would have them when i got there.... and he did. Drop 80.00 on steaks and u can't cut 20 bucks in bones I'm out.

Kathy Harvey

Phenomenal! Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the food and drink. Courteous service all the way around. The food was amazing! Three at our table enjoyed BRAISED OSSO BUCCO, and one other had the PAN SEARED TROUT. My dish was a pasta served with shredded chicken and smoked meat. You have got to try this place! We will be back!

Nathan Rodgers

We stopped in for lunch today. The burger and the BLT were superb! The Leatherbees knees drink is simply delightful. We will be stopping here again next time we are in the area.

Rachelle Uribe

The Reuben!!!OMFG! So good! We had lunch here saturday I got a burger my friend got the Ruben sandwich and we swapped halves. Then my world was shattered by the sheer and unadulterated awesomeness of this sandwich which all other sandwiches will fail to measure up to. Sunday on the way out of town I grabbed one to go with the express intent of inciting the envy of the people sitting near me on the plane( it worked). By the time I got to Atlanta and on my plane the sandwich was soggy....and still amazing. Good pastrami is good pastrami. After I ate it I found the article about main street meats in the United magazine and was like "yeah I know"

Kimberly Keiter

Excellent service and cuisine. A real dining experience. Come hungry!

Sonet Dortch

Decent food, nice atmosphere. The dinning area was a bit cold. We came near the end of lunch service, but wasn’t alerted to that fact until we tried to order dessert that kitchen was closed for an hour.

Tony C

Artisan meats and sausages. An array of bourbon and whiskeys were behind the bar, all were relatively high end. Ambiance was amazing, place was very clean, and staff were extremely friendly.

John Stoehr

MSM having a bad day today; Raw hamburgers, greasy potato chips and $11 Summer tomato salad; 3 slices of tomato, 3 small chunks of cheese and a slice of cucumber. The beer glasses were very small and even the water was warm. Eating there tonight was a Main Street Meats mishap!

Ajax4Hire RedPluto

Great food but small so there is a good wait for table. Butcher shop turned restaurant. Will eat there again but get there early. Across from Chatanooga Fire House #1 so you might get a show.

Kellie Jones

Excellent and knowledge staff, food is locally sourced when possible.

Zach Akers

Ordered the local burger with side of fries. Burger was outstanding! Fries were close to chips but were still good. Got some meat to go. Only complaint which was my own fault I guess. I got a jar of jelly they sold from BlackBerry farm. Which I didn't realize was $15. No way I would of paid $15 for the jar of jelly had I known.

Mark Allen

If I were a local I would eat and shop here a few times a week. Finest meat money can buy. Their cocktails are very creative. Staff and servers are best in a town that has excellent service.

Graham Harrell

Great meat selection and very knowledgeable staff. Always leave with confidence in what cut I bought. On the restaurant side the burger is probably the best in town... And I don't say that lightly. They need a few more beers on tap but this place is still a 5 in my book.

Scott Bradley

Great food and service but always loud (I think all the hard surfaces contribute - nothing to absorb sound).

Kelly Smart

Multiple items on the menu were unavailable. Wait staff was odd. I am southern, but I am also 40 and professional; I prefer not to have a 20-something call my husband and me “darling”. My cut of meat was full of fat and mostly inedible (it was the reported replacement for the pork chop I actually wanted). There was no offer of a discount- it was actually $2 more than the pork chop I wanted! Needless to say, I won’t be back. Some of the food was mediocre and some was good, but the service and lack of advertised choices just could not be overlooked.

susan edmondson

I ordered the butternut squash soup from the menu and the printed price was clearly $6.50. There was no indication of cup or bowl. It read butternut soup - $6.50. Contrary to your rebuttal below, I was charged $11.50 (and have the receipt to prove it) so I asked the bartender who was our server and he said the printed menu price of $6.50 is for the cup. I then asked the manager (who I think was the owner's wife) about it and she said she would change it...but she meant only on the menu and not my bill. She completely blew me off and showed no interest in my concern. I wish that I had refused to pay anything above the printed $6.50 as this is clearly FRAUD! The manager was very rude and snarky. The definition of fraud is wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain. I am not upset over $4.50 (or the correct amount of $5.00 plus the tax) I am upset over your unsavory bait and switch tactics and your rude customer service. When I called your attention to my problem, you were indifferent and barely looked at me. You were totally arrogant and walked away without addressing my concern. There was only one menu listing for the soup at a price of $6.50. You should have printed on your menu $6.50 for a cup and $11.50 for a bowl. I ordered the item partially based on the price, lots of people in my income bracket do this, and to be surprised with the unadvertised price is classic "bait and switch". UPDATE: The owner, Amanda Niel phoned me at my place of employment immediately after I posted this original review. I found it a bit creepy that she was able to locate and call my direct line, but nevertheless, she offered to reimburse me $4.50, - (which is incorrect as I was charged $11.50 for the soup that's a difference of $5.00 plus 9.25% sales tax) and she remarked that she did not like the use of my word "fraud" whereby I explained to her that technically it was because I had been deceived of the price. She mentioned that her "lawyer would disagree". I assure you, Ms. Niel, that many court cases have been won on the premise of false advertising, otherwise known as bait and switch. She also mentioned the amount of $4.50 being a negligible amount, (again this is incorrect) but I feel that isn't the point. What if I ordered a steak that the menu listed as $20.00, is it then lawful to present me with a bill and say that it is, in fact $50.00. "Sorry, $20.00 is for the petite filet, you got the large but we didn't tell you, it's $50.00". NO WAY! YOU SHOULD BE CHARGED THE ADVERTISED PRICE. This is common sense and the law in all businesses. What makes the Niel's business operation exempt from truth in advertising escapes me. I will admit, it was excellent soup, but it was hardly worth $11.50 considering the amount I was given. Good food will only take your restaurant so far, Ms. Niel. In the end, good customer service is just as crucial. Ms. Niel you should have addressed this while I was in your establishment. I asked you to, but you brushed me off until I resorted to social media. I also do not appreciate being called at my place of work. Your tone was less than apologetic, it was arrogant and condescending just like all your other responses on Google Reviews. Your offer of $4.50 was inadequate - you owe me a minimum of $5.00 plus 9.25% tax - $11.50 minus $6.50 is $5.00. I guess neither math nor customer service are your strengths. (employees check your pay stubs!) I will never again enter your snobby establishment. I will attempt to have my money returned to me via my credit card. UPDATE! It wasn't necessary for you to come to my work, but I appreciate at least your willingness to acknowledge the mistake. THE INCORRECT AMOUNT OF $4.50 CAME FROM YOU, NOT ME. I WAS CHARGED $11.50. $This isn't the first time I've dined at your restaurant, but it will certainly be my last. No, your restaurant isn't for me, I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect and not overcharged. Yes, please refund my credit card the additional 50 cents plus the sales tax.

Kendall Ray

Ate lunch there today. I've been hearing they have a great burger, and it definitely was one of the best I've ever had. The servers were very helpful and knew the menu well. They seemed to really believe in their product, which is nice to see. The butcher was really helpful (we bought some steak and sausages as well). 10/10 would recommend

Kurt Shults

Best burger in town. Fantastic menu and meats to go.

YWCO After School Programs

The server suggested the hanger steak for this steak lover. It was phenomenal and the cheapest steak on the menu. The mashed potatoes were delicious and the green beans were in a very tasty sauce. Very cool spot.

Mont Brown

We had a fantastic meal consisting of their beer and whisky pairing, meat and cheese board, the spiced carrot dip, and fried bread pudding. All of the food, and the service, couldn't have been better. Can't wait until the next time I'm in Chattanooga to come back!

Chris Tucker

Great food! The steak was awesome. Best whiskey selection I’ve seen in a long time. I will definitely be back. Fantastic job Main Street Meats.

Johnny Wallace

If you like meat this is the place to come. Great food and the service was excellent.

Lillie Read

Everyone I talked to regarding the butcher shop was so helpful, especially Brent, who coordinated a special order, since we were coming from out of town, and took extra time to talk with me about where the meat comes from and particulars about the different cuts.

Tammy McDonald

First off if you are coming with a trailer or rv be prepared to search for parking. We found a paid lot behind the restaurant which we finally parked in. We were greeted immediately at the door and sat right away. The decor fits in with the butcher located on premises and is pretty cool! The menu isn't large but has a variety. We had the smoked turkey and the smokehouse chicken with fries. Both sandwiches were excellent but I preferred the turkey. The pesto gave it just the right taste! All ingredients were fresh and delicious. These were not simple chicken and turkey sandwiches! The fries could have been crisper. Mom and I split the turkey and that was plenty while hubby had the chicken sandwich. No room for dessert but I wasn't thrilled with any on them anyway. Service was wonderful, quick, friendly and attentive. Barring the frustration with parking it was a nice dining experience in a fun atmosphere.

Chris Follette

Very neat restaurant/butcher shop/bar. I had the burger, and it was the best burger I've ever had in my life! I'm sad that I live 9 hours away and can't become a regular!

Todd Clark

The food and service was exceptional. We tried to make reservations but it's first come first serve, luckily we got there at a good time and didn't have to wait. All the ingredients were very fresh and clean. We got the hummus for a starter as well as the meat and cheese plate, I'm pretty sure the hummus had been made just before bringing it out and everything on the meat plate was delicious especially the jam and the bacon mix stuff. Definitely get the Brussels as a side, some of the best I've had!

Lee East

Great food, even better service

Corey Mead

Good food and products, friendly service annd nice atmosphere.

Michael Black

Friendly atmosphere and great food

Evan Quinn

Wasted 200 bucks on 3 people here. Waiter had a man bun, bathroom sign had some weird alien symbol, and the waiter said 32 oz steak when it was 22 oz, but corrected himself only after it was ordered and brought to the table. The steak itself tasted as if it were rubber with a1 cooked into it. save your money and go to Wally's , if you want to waste money to feel hip, go here. We left and went directly to another restaurant due to dissatisfaction and disappointment. 1/5 would eat crow before going here again

Steve McKnelly

Chattanooga's premier butcher and charcuterie. It is the temple of meat in this town. Either take some meat home to cook, or get some cooked to the point of perfection. There are no losers at this place. The staff are friendly and the management is involved in every step of the operation.

Peri McIntosh

One of my go to's for lunch on Main St. The staff is always so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. You can tell they really care for what they are serving. Highly recommend the burger and Brussels sprouts!

Marti Donovan

Food is always excellent

Cory Colquette

Great place with the best burgers in town. Have not tried the steaks yet, but I hope to soon. Excellent service as well! Definitely a Chattanooga gem!

Jordan Law

Wonderful service and even better food! My family and I visited Chattanooga and read that they had the best burger. I am originally from California and a low level foodie... If I was rich I would be high level. The burger was excellent and definitely on the top 3 I have ever had. The meat though, was the best I have ever had without a doubt. So juicy and tender I am getting hungry just thinking about it. I got the potatoes salad as a side and would order it again as well.

Chad Reyes

One of the best burgers and banana pudding in town!

Hunter Morgan

Best Hamburger in Chattanooga.

Frank Pagano

This is a must try place. We went on a sat night and waited 45min for a table. Had a few beers and cocktails before dinner. We had a steak and pork chop. Both cooked and seasoned perfectly. Charcuterie was also delicious loved the beet mustard

Elisabeth Young

This was a recommendation from a local friend! I was visiting from Atlanta for the day and absolutely loved the food, atmosphere, and service at this restaurant. We will be back for sure - the place was packed upon opening at 5 so it is clearly adored and rightly so! The “Homemade” cocktail (Mexican coke, whiskey, boiled peanuts) is a MUST HAVE.

Sarah Crook

Best burger in town, wonderful sides and a very well decorated space.

Jeanine Romain

Friendly staff and atmosphere, food and drinks are fresh and delicious! Unique experience.

Robert Kirby

My favorite place to each lunch. Best burger I've ever had. It's really convenient to pick up meat to cook for dinner too.

Connor Wilkins

Best burger in town, there is no doubt about that. On another note, 9 dollars for a small bottle of kombucha is straight up pitiful. It’s insulting. Who do they think that they are to charge 9 dollars for a small bottle of kombucha. It take 5 dollars to make gallons of the stuff. I make it at home, yet they think they can charge 9 for a small bottle. Rude...

Jim Gaskin

5 stars just for the burger alone. Best one in the closest 7 states. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Plus, it's one of the very rare places where you can take home fresh butchered meats and local cheeses!

Jonathan Chandler

Best burger of my life. And I've been eating burgers the better part of my 35 years. Perfectly cooked and the bacon and caramelized onions come together in a divine taste pallet trifecta! The fresh fried potato chips and the spicy mayo dip was phenomenal in its own right. Great service too but beware the kitchen closes from like 4-5pm so scheduled accordingly.

Julie Rhodes

Always a great place!

John Hudson

Great food, Outstanding Meat counter

Kevin McCall

A little pricey, but great burgers!

Vincent C.

Excellent Food and Cocktails! Came in here around 3pm after a Hike at Signal Mtn..we ordered 3 drinks 1 was pre made and the other 2 were fresh mixed...all were excellent...got the Chicken Smokestack, "fries" (amazing house chips cooked in beef tallow), a Turkey Avocado/pesto/bacon sandwich, and the most amazing Bread Pudding we had ever eaten! Was warned about the kitchen shutdown from 4-5 in time to get the dessert which was much appreciated! Both sandwiches were just straight up delicious and loaded with ingredients (you couldn't make them yourself for less) and the dessert was the best bread pudding we have ever had. This place isn't "cheap" but is very fairly priced and definitely worth a trip. The staff was pleasant and attentive without being "fake" and the décor was nice but you wont feel out of place walking off the street. Interesting selection of meats and cheeses in the butcher section. Definitely will revisit next time we are in town and look forward to seeing what the dinner offerings are!

James McAllister

Ate there with my friends a few weeks ago when I was visiting Chattanooga. Some of the best food and cocktails I’ve ever had. Everyone on staff was very kind and helpful. They have some amazing cuts in their butcher’s section. 11/10 highly recommend

Alexis Neal

This place never fails. The food is AMAZING and they even have a great, well stocked bar! I met the owner today and she is so sweet and welcoming. I definitely recommend this place to newcomers and natives alike.

Hayden Cogswell

We came in right before dinner started at 5 with 11 of us ( on a weekend trip for my friends’ bachelor party). They immediately set to work on moving tables for us, and were very accommodating. Drinks and burgers were on point! You absolutely must get the burger. Atmosphere is friendly and neighborly. Servers do their homework. Management was keen to ask us how everything was. Definitely recommend Main Street to anyone looking for a comfortable place to spend dinner with friends and eat some exceptional food!

Eliezer Delgado

I had the 50 day dry age ribeye with house fries. The steak was really tender and flavorful. The house fries were delicious

Chandlee Caldwell

I would love to comment on the menu, but once I ate the smokestack chicken sandwich I haven't been able to order anything else. Or dream about anything else for that matter.

Ed Jenkins

The aged porterhouse was fantastic! If you are feeling a little adventurous, try the beef tare tare. Excellent food and service!

Kaitlyn Anderson

Fantastic food, fantastic staff, fantastic atmosphere. I would go all the time if I wasn't just passing through town.

Shannon Delgado

Amazing food! Best filet mignon of my life.

Tony Cathirell

Came to Chattanooga to spend a couple of days to enjoy the city with the family. Got A Real Surprise from this place. Great concept of a butcher shop and restraunt. Coming from the San Francisco Bay Area and now live in Marietta, GA. This place can hold it's own in the Bay Area. I had the Pastrami Sandwich and WOW. Haven't had a Great Pastrami since California. The flavor, spice and all around sandwich was great. The freshness and quality was top notch!!! This place rocks. The wife ordered the beets appetizer which she highly enjoyed. She split the cheeseburger with our youngest and the beef she thought was Sirloin. Couldn't put it down. We came back to buy some of the meats from the butcher. Highly quality food. Can't wait to go back for dinner or to try thier steaks. We will be back!!! Wish they would open a place in Marietta.

Jordan Lamberson

Eric & Amanda Niel's sister restaurant is equally as fabulous as Easy Bistro. MSM not only cures their own meats, but sources them from the most amazing local farmers. This spot is perfect for meat lovers, but fear not vegetarians! While the veggie options are limited, they will blow your socks off. I always get the seasonal salad, which has never had meat on it and the brussell sprouts or other veggie side options. The deserts are banging! I've become a real sucker for their bread pudding. It is a small place, but the ambiance is so perfect. The bar offers more seating and impressive cocktail offerings. MSM is a perfect mix between your favorite local burger joint and steak house. I am so happy they are open for both lunch and dinner! Even when I was a struggling college student, I would save up just to go get my favorite salad and bread pudding. Don't forget to try their "fries", which are extremely unique and darn near perfection. Cheers to great, local food and exceptional service. I feel as though I am in a movie when I am here regardless of how nicely I am dressed.

Craig Lacy

Very helpful with my cut selections, a good whiskey variety!!!

Aaron Curl

Great meats and other items and they know how to cook it in house, too. Stop by for some meats and sides then take some home! Priced high like it's high quality, because it is, so expect that.

Laura Burgess

Everything here is quality. Groceries, lunch, dinner, dessert, beverages -- you can get it all here!

Justin Bozeman

Absolutely wonderful food!! There was quite a few people waiting when we showed up at around 8, but this was to be expected of their busy hours. The wait was worth it completely . My girlfriend and I couldn't decide what to get so I got the filet mignon and she got the burger and we could not decide on who's food was better. All of this finished off with their bread pudding made for a very content customer. Prices are not cheap but are fair for the food. Would recommend to anyone!

John Im

This place has excellent atmosphere, food, bar, snacks, and people. It's filled with positive energy and decoration is going along with it. You can eat there or buy retail meats. They got in house salami, Olympia provisions salami, sausage, you name it. Excellent place to eat and hang out with your friends or by yourself.

Adam Sebesta

Fantastic cocktails fantastic beer fantastic food.

Helena Calais

Butcher is knowledgeable and helpful, great first visit. Products are fresh and I know I'll be back soon!

Emily O'Neal

Nice atmosphere. The portions of the meal were smaller than I had hoped. We left still feeling slightly hungry after our meal. One of the waiters was wearing a playboy shirt while on the job. I felt that this lacked professionalism and portrayed an image of the restaurant that was unappealing.

C Payne

Fun little trendy restaurant with locally sourced fresh food. My husbands favorite. Also has front storefront where you can buy cheese and other goodies. Support local!!!!

Kayla Townsend

Such good food and super cool place. Would recommend

Joe Furr

My wife and I loved our visit to this restaurant. The fried chicken was amazing! Crispy on the outside but with perfectly tender, juicy, and flavorful meat. The service was friendly and attentive, but without being intrusive. The atmosphere is comfortable but still classy, and trendy without being too "hipster". They also have a USDA certified butcher and offer a variety of cuts of beef and other meats you can take home to prepare. Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant next time you are on the Southside.

Will Kemplin

Reuben was outstanding. Peach crumble dessert made me believe in Jesus again. Has a usually lured pokestop right next door. Your mouth will orgasm. Guaranteed.

Niki B

OMG had the Ruben, turkey sandwich and the peach and bourbon dessert. All of it was amazing!!! Wonderful service too! If I ever drive through Chattanooga again I'm totally coming back!

Sisi L

On the butcher side, good deals on meats and bones. Tasty steakes

Dario

Second time here. Similar experiences. Food is not bad but way oversalted and overpriced. Everyone in our party agreed. Mentioned the salt issue to the waiter before ordering, and asked if he could go easy with salt. Still received a salt bomb burger. Burgers were all cooked at the same temperature. Useless to specify rare or medium rare. 16oz beer from Nashville' BEARDED IRIS are $12. Very steep if you ask me. Not really impressed.

Joey K.

Was visiting friends in Chattynooga and they recommended this spot; food, service, ambiance were superb! I was so impressed that I will have to come by again when I'm in town!

Peter Recktenwald

Went there looking for goat meat but they did not have that but the butcher spoke to us and was super terrific and full of information. They have everything else you could want and it is all sourced locally and looked to be top notch. The place was super clean and looked to be an awesome place to eat. We will definitely be back to eat and think we have found the butcher shop for us!

Anderson Collier

My first time eating here was rbis week. I was not disappointed. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. If you was in the area, or even if you are not, I suggest you come eat here. The hamburger is one of the best I have ever eaten. The Reuben was so tender that it fell apart. When I am back in town, i will be back.

Nikki E

Excellent food! The 5 meats board was excellent. The rueben was the best I've ever had. And the warm German potato salad was TO DIE FOR!!

Neal Johns

Near little place, great service and great drinks.

cindi burtnett

Great food, great service and fun atmosphere!!

Paul Stewart

Simple yet excellent mashed potatoes and a 5 star steak.

Michael Viertel

Excellent meat, excellent service, excellent staff! Their products are top notch and the staff knows what they're talking about! They've been very helpful and always offered plenty of advice on the best ways to prepare the meat I've purchased. In the odd event they don't have something I am looking for they have gone out of their way to get it for me, even if its something they don't normally sell. You're only regret when shopping is here will be is that you didn't buy more.

Melody Ashcraft

We came to this restaurant in early April after being turned away by another restaurant (Two Ten Jack) due to their reservation error. We were absolutely blown away by the service and food!! We enjoyed it so much that we came back the next night, which was our last night in town. Amazing charcuterie and drinks. The environment is very welcoming and very clean. The subway-style tile walls gives this place a classy, timeless look. We have recommended this place to all of our friends (in AL). Main Street Meats turned our bad night completely around and I am so thankful for them!! We will definitely be back the next time we are in Chattanooga.

Luke Iannuzzi

The Cuban was great! Really good atmosphere and decor as well!

Steven Hall

Very good.. Best Burger!!!!

Anjela Dennis

Everything was absolutely delicious and Sadie our server was very sweet, prompt and knowledgeable.

Bob vansickle

Great food, great service, the menu is a little limited but good

Ryan Rushing

Steak was amazing. Whiskey was fantastic and the service was great. If you are a steak eater then come here.

Scott Griffin

Very delicious. I got the local beef burger and the soul. The soup needed a little bit of salt, but it was great after that.

kevin jackson

My favorite restaurant in Chattanooga. Best ribeye!!!!

Walter Chapman

One of my favorite spots in town, everything is brilliant.

Meghan Channon

I am always blown away by this place! They are consistently AH-mazing. Great people, quality ingredients, and the single most delicious Reuben ever made! Get the burger, too, and you’ll be loyalists like us!

Nathan Bell

There are very few restaurants that are completely unique. Main Street Meats is one of those. The food is extraordinary.

Kelly Garris

Amazing place. You need to go here if you visit. Best potato salad I have ever eaten and I hate potato salad, so its changed me as a person.

Heath Holloway

Best burger in town...

Terri N.

Best hummus plate I've had, and I order them everywhere! It was sprinkled with crisp, light chickpeas & served with grilled pita & fresh veggies. They butcher & age local beef, making a perfect, perfect burger. Wish I could've eaten 2. Great, friendly service. Loved the music too -- the Ramones!

Justin LeCroy

Great steaks and creative takes on veggies! Great atmosphere!

matt oddo

Top quality everything. This place is no joke and worth the wait.

shane holman

Words cannot describe how the steak was! Melts in your mouth. It was soooooooo good. Worst part was when I ran out. We will definitely return again and again!

Rick Schumacher

Best steaks and burger in Chattanooga. By far!!

Jonathan Grubb

One of the greatest burgers I’ve ate anywhere at any cost... and it only cost $11. Also huge thanks for the half pour of the 25 year old Rhetoric bourbon for free. Highly recommend for anyone in town looking for an amazing burger.

Susan Cenkus

We had a wonderful time here. The food is presented beautifully and tastes delicious! The waiters are welcoming and treated us like special guests. Try the beet salad.

Pam Schrader

Great burgers, meat from the counter is superb! I'm a regular customer and take my friends there.

pete m

I had the burger, wife the fish tacos and we split a side of broccolini. It was very good. Two enthusiastic thumbs up on the Siskel and Ebert scale.

Andy Pryor

Amazing food and local specialties, chef owned so the upmost care put into every ingredient that you can see and taste! Would highly recommend, best burgers around!

Alyssa Keith

The butcher is great. Kitchen staff is rude. We ordered a salad which ended up being essentially a small handful of micro greens with a few orange segments. When we asked ‘is this it’ the lady said it was ‘$8 worth of ingredients’ and that it was a starter. If it’s a starter, list it as such on your menu. She did offer a fix by adding more lettuces and doubled the salad but when she gave it back said ‘it’s not like a salad you’d get at O’Charleys’. Zing. I hope she feels really great about that comment because it was very patronizing and we will not be back (despite the fact that they have a great deli counter).

My husband and I were excited to try out this place. He had the burger and I had the turkey sandwich. My husband described the burger as "mouth watering." Both were delicious and flavorful!

Chad Ullom

Possibly the best burger you'll ever eat. Everything at this small butcher shop/restaurant combo screams quality. Also try the pork rinds. Very light and great flavor. Give it a try as soon as possible.

I'm obsessed with this place. In my opinion, the best burger in Chattanooga. Everything is always perfect. I strayed from my usual go-to choices and ordered a Caprese salad at a place with "Meats" literally in the name and even the salad blew my mind. Once, I forgot my credit card. The manager ran a block to get it back to me. That extra-mile mentality is evident everywhere in this restaurant.

Cant say enough good about this shop. We toured chattanooga distillery and they gave us a coupon for a free pork rinds at main street meats, it was late but not too late for a snack and a drink so we walked down. Outstanding fresh still crackling pork rinds and ine if the best burgers I've had anywhere at any price and it was $11. We ended up back for dinner the next night and our waitress from the night before remembered us and was there not working but bought our app for us. Again I cant say enough good things about this butcher shop/ whiskey bar / restaurant. I really wish we had something even remotely close back home. Also for the review of the " wierd alien symbols" on the bath, check the picture. I rather enjoy a sense of humor, shame on me for laughing.

James Johnston

Excellent restaurant, we ordered the freshly made pork rinds, burgers, and fries. Everything was made perfectly. We live in Atlanta and would definitely come back just for lunch.

Scott Sharkey

Fantastic service, great food. I would highly recommend dinning here.

Steve Lindeman

Great staff and excellent cheese tray. They also have an excellent scotch, whisky and bourbon selection. Highly recommend a visit. We will definitely come back.

Tracy Rushton

Burger was good, the sides weren't much to speak of, and the service was only so so.

clayton bagwell

All around great place to eat. Great food, drinks and atmosphere.

Chase Rhodes

Wonderful experience! Steak was in cooked perfectly and the sloppy joe brought back great memories of my childhood!

Tee Dub

Came in for the 85 day dry aged rib eye's (this was mid/late 2017). Picked up some smoked bacon and other items too. The steak was thin cut already (approx. 1") and turned out very bland even cooked mid rare. I thought pushing a dry aged steak to 85 days should result in some nice funk, but it had barely any different flavor profile than a grocery store cut. In fact, I can salt and pepper a prime cut and leave it in my fridge for 3-5 days uncovered and develop as much or more flavor! Or for close to the same price just go to Ruth Chris and get their 30 day wet aged bone in rib eye. Your 85 day rib eye's aren't even close to what you can do with a mini-fridge and aging your own roast for 30 days so I have to call BS somewhere. Such a disappointment when you are expecting to be wowed and realize the hype train was derailed long before you got there.

We had an excellent meal. Babaganoush for appetizer was delish. The bean salad and peach dessert were incredible. The ribeye for being a meat company was a bit tough. Our server John was so much fun and made our experience even better. Highly recommend this restaurant!

HS Overman

Awesome burgers and sandwiches; generous portions, cooked perfectly.

Maggie Jager

Best place to eat in Chattanooga! LOVED the cocktails! The charcuterie and cheese are AMAZING!!

They deserve more stars than 5 and I am a very picky eater. All of the wait staff worked as a team and helped each other with their tables. Our waiter, John Allen, was very knowledgable about the best dishes, alcoholic drinks based on your own personal pallet, and the best places around the city. He brought us a special appetizer named after himself that included pork rinds, toasted bread, tartare fresh-made meat, some vegetables on the side. Normally we don't eat anything like that and leave the raw foods to my French Aunt, but our server's recommendations were well worth it. Though I didn't have the taste buds for it, my family really enjoyed the flavors and it seemed to be a very popular dish! The burger was the whole reason my family went and boy was it good! Juicy and flavorful whIle cooked to the perfect temperature!!! Best burger I've ever had!!! My dad usually vacuums his plate in seconds, but for the 1st time... he took his time eating his burger because he loved it THAT much. To top it off, our server brought us their special Banana Pudding....wow....so good... if we weren't from Jacksonville, FL we would come by all the time...

Hard to find something to order on overpriced menu. Portions are tiny for far to much money. They are trying to be funky and surprising, but failed. Egg and chips overdone and tasteless. Rueben and rib sandwiches are disappointing. Services, however, was good.

Josie Brown

There food was amazing. If you go try the potato salad. It is unbelievable the way the flavors blend together. Best potato salad I have ever had.

WA MENG

Awesome place. Food is good, especially the local meats. I noticed that seems they have desserts provided, haven't tried. Not a place for vegetarians, Main Street Meats after all.

L East

I can't express in words how great this place is. The burgers will give you a food memory to keep with you and haunt your subsequent burgers. My mouth is watering just thinking about them! Go! Don't think about it because seating is limited. Although we have rarely waited long, even when packed. It's so good I'm going back this week and anytime I'm in Chattanooga. Thank you Main Street Meats! And if your food wasn't enough, your staff is wonderful as well.

Abu Bilal Adams

We left before ordering. The staff were unwelcoming. Said they didnt have any meat. We went there because someone had just told us about their meats. Don't know if it was because of our race or religion. The way they looked at us and spoke let us know we were not welcomed.

Mark Carpenter

Great atmosphere, food and service. You won't be disappointed

Andrew Hetzler

Arguably the best. I have Never had anything bad on the menu.

Great food, server very rude last night. We love MSM and come often. Last night was our first time going since our baby was born. We had her with us and were hoping for a nice night out. The food was delicious as always, but our server was quite rude to me over an issue with our dessert and it tainted the whole night for me. One dessert was described by our server as having candied pistachios. I love pistachios, so I ordered it. When it arrived, there were no pistachios in sight. I mentioned not seeing any and she told me they were inside. After taking a couple bites, I knew for sure there were no pistachios. It was a completely smooth cream filling with a soft choux pastry. I mentioned it again and she said she would “ask him if he put them in”, which to me was pointless because I knew they weren’t in there. I assumed she would just bring me a few on the side to add to the dessert. But no, she never came back. Eventually we just ate the dessert. When she finally returned I told her there had been no pistachios and she insisted that he said he had put them in. Even if there HAD been (completely undetectable) pistachios in there, would it have killed her to bring a tablespoon of pistachios in a little ramekin for me to sprinkle on so I could enjoy the dessert? Clearly not, because she finally did so in the end, but didn’t offer until after the dessert was gone and it was the THIRD time I brought it up. She brought some that I ate plain. They were quite crunchy and there’s no way they had been in the dessert we got. Her attitude was very rude the whole time, as if she thought I was incapable of detecting nuts in a dessert and she shouldn’t have to deal with me. Maybe she is new this year since I’ve never had her before, and usually the waitstaff here are very nice. We’ll probably come again, but this very unpleasant experience will make me more reluctant and likely to choose another restaurant if it’s up to me.

Recommended by bartender at Heavens & Ale's, did not disappoint. Great cuts of meat, cut in house. Service was exceptional. NY strip was delicious. Wife had local burger, she also said it was great.

Dan Hinst

Second visit - its all good. Real good. Burger was amazing, chips are awesome, caprese salad with smoked trout -so good. Service was spot on. Definitely a must try.

Angie Lunsford

great butcher shop and restaurant! the warm potato salad is awesome and so is the pastrami

I went with my girlfriend last Thursday to eat and was asked to try an aged Ribeye by the Bartender. At first, I ordered it Medium Well, but the bartender said to order it Medium Rare, due to it being an aged steak and more dry than a regular steak. Today I ate a $15 10oz Ribeye from Texas Roadhouse and it was by far better (Medium Well). Flavor of the meat at TR was much better. I also asked for ice for my Whiskey and Coke and never got it.

Timothy Meredith

Awesome place. Laid back environment, nice whiskey selection. Bartender Alex was professional and attentive.

Stephen Welch

Fantastic food, expertly prepared. We had the burger which I would describe as a gourmet burger. Perfectly cooked and so tasty. We also had a salad and some potato salad. The salad was as fresh as could be. Delicious home made dressing. The potato salad was unique so flavorful. Highly recommended.

Located on the south side of Chattanooga, Main Street Meats is a full scale neighborhood butcher/cheese shop, but also a small scale restaurant with a well planned and developed menu. You can bring your own wine but they have a robust selection the. This being Tennessee, I was obligated to do a flight of whiskeys as well. I chose the Tennessee flight consisting of pours from all local distilleries. All three were smooth easy drinking whiskeys where each sip was better than the last. Our server was friendly and attentive. His suggestions for food were impeccable.

CD Medlin

This restaurant was amazing. The sandwiches are top notch. Everything was perfect.

Chad McDonald

Ate their over the weekend with my wife and daughter. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was great. We had the Reuben, Burger, and Turkey sandwich. All delicious. The potato salad side was outstanding! Our waiter was really helpful and checked on us regularly. We will definitely plan on returning soon!

John Gallagher

Food and drink was very good

Craig Brimer

Generally there is a wait for seating but it is well worth it. Food is always consistently delicious. Staff is knowledgeable and courteous. Great experience every time.

Adam Dahlquist

This is a very nice place. We had beef tartar and burger (it's a meet place!!) and both courses were great. The place was cramped due to the solar eclipse the day after so the staff was stressed, and had us wait a little on simple stuff, but they were charming, which made us happy anyways.

Malcolm Godwin

Look at this super funny sign they have in the bathroom

EDDIE WOMELDORF

The best damn burger I've had in all of my 42 years! Worth driving up from Atlanta to have again.

Shannon McCarragher

This has become our favorite restaurant. Great food!! Limited options for vegetarians - not surprising given its name. Great drinks. Attentive and kind staff. Have learned to try things even if the flavor combo sounds unusual - haven't been disappointed yet!
