I have been buying meats from here for about a year. The staff has always been friendly and, the prices reasonable. It's always nice to be able to go to the store and, get steaks 3" thick if that's what ya wanted. Instead of being stuck with only what the big box store offers you!

I currently live in Nashville, but every time I visit my family in East Tennessee, I have to swing by J&M. I live near a very good place called Porter Road Butcher, but they are a bit too pricey for me. J&M's meat packs are a wonderful value. If only I could bribe them to deliver to Nashville.

Absolute must for fresh meats. The Polish sausage is the best around. The Brats are excellent for cook-outs. They also sell local honey, a very good place to shop in Oak Ridge.

I love this butcher shop. I go every month and get one of their 30 lb meat packages. Their shop is awesome and also for EBT holders, they do take EBT. Fast service and the people there are really nice.

I was tired of buying store meat that turned brown by the time I put it in my fridge. This place has a decent selection of meats and other products. The staff was friendly. I bought a shepherds pie there. The quality of the meat and vegetables in the pie was good, but did not have much taste. But, this is my new place to get meat.

I like to support smaller businesses, as much as I can, and I prefer to get certain meats at a butcher shop, which is conveniently located a short drive from my home. But unfriendly service is a turn off, especially when it comes from the same person, over and over again. Also, a turn off, when you are blown off, because someone walks in after me, who had pre-ordered, and is taken care of before me, with not a single word said to me, no "hi", no "I will be right with you", no nothing. I will go to Knoxville first, Kroger, even Walmart before I buy anything from this shop again.

Very friendly, and the only place I could find a fresh ham for smoking. Everywhere else had precooked hams. They were taking orders for Christmas. They offered whole fresh hams and even offered to smoke them. But I want to smoke my own.

UPDATE Ok I've never been a fan of strip steaks. They have always been chewy. Nothing like a ribeye. But we got a pack from J&M and they were fabulous.. so tender full of flavor. We went back and got the summer time cookout package. This place is hands down the very best. I've gotten steaks from Walmart, Kroger and Food City... And last night from J&M... Wow picked up 2 ribeyes for dinner. And these steaks were absolutely the best hands down. The other week we did his bundle deal chicken, pork ect. To stick the deep freeze. And it's a huge savings. We will not buy meat anywhere else now. Thank you so much

Great products with a big variety. All meats individually wrapped. Prices very reasonable for like products from competitors. Meats, when prepared are very tender and very tasty. Meats are processed daily and special cuts are no problem. Butcher's are very qualities that with many years of service.
