The dried link sausage is excellent and they have agreed to make special orders especially for me. They order special cuts for me which is very helpful. Went to The Butcher's Block for the first (and what will be the last) time today. Ordered two T-Bone steaks and 2 New York Strips. While the woman behind the counter wrapped them, I browsed through their freezer case. BIG MISTAKE, guess I should have watched her. Tonight, as I pulled out what had been a gorgeous pair of T-bones in the case, to let them come to room temp, I was somewhat horrified by what I discovered. Without having asked, the woman had apparently trimmed off the tenderloin portion of the steaks!!!! That's the whole damned point of getting a T-bone steak. The best part of the cut, removed without even a word to me about it (yes they were there in the case so she definitely removed them). No clue what would possess a butcher to do this but needless to say I'm incredibly angry. Not a place I'd ever recommend to any meat lover.

My husband and I were wanting some special steaks for the Christmas weekend. So, I looked up a butcher here and found Butcher’s Block. This place is off the beaten path and I was excited because I love “hole in the wall” places. I was not disappointed. The people who run the place have been butchers for quite a long time. They are wonderful people who really know their stuff about meat. We had them cut 4 filets, took them home and grilled them. WOW!!!!!! When I cut into the steak, it was like a hot knife went through butter!!! These steaks were so tender! When I took a bite, it was the best tasting steak that I had ever had in my life. For one, it literally melted in my mouth and for another, the taste was absolutely incredible! I will never get my steaks anywhere else. You are doing yourself an incredible injustice if you buy your steaks somewhere else.

They have an awesome selection of slim jims and sausage with a bunch of different flavors! And they can make sausage and slim jims with whatever type of meat you have to be processed! But it can be slightly expensive.

I bought the best ground beef I've ever had from here. Used it to make tacos and the meat was the most tender ground beef I've ever had. I can't wait to get some steaks next time.
