When you walk in the door at Tate Meatworks the staff makes you feel like they opened the store just for you that day. Their appreciation of you as a customer and their sincerity makes me happy to do business with them. It would be impossible to judge which is better, though - their customer service or the meats they sell. The selection of quality beef rivals butcher shops in major cities - and in it here in Spartanburg! We are so fortunate.

What’s not to love about this place?! The customer service is phenomenal, the product they sell is literally like nothing else you can get anywhere even close to Spartanburg, and prices are absolutely reasonable! The Tate’s know good meat and they are extremely knowledgeable on so many different types of protein and offer the best cuts around. Not only are they the best cuts but they are at extremely affordable prices. You can’t go to a fancy steakhouse and get steaks like these for even half the price. They have truly raised the bar. I’ve visited the shop weekly since they opened and I have had a wonderful experience each time. They take time to answer questions and explain the best ways for cooking the items you purchase. I love shopping local and supporting small businesses when I can and this place was a home run for me. I won’t buy meat anywhere else!

Stopped in today to get some steaks to throw on the grill. We decided on the ribeye and holy whoa, they were amazing!! Cant wait to go back and try more of the products they have to offer. Grant, the owner, was very nice and informative of his product. Would definitely recommend for a lovely dinner!!

I cant say enough positive things about Tate Meatworks. Grant and staff are knowledgeable and you can tell they love what they do. You are treated like a friend from the moment you step into the door. They offer restaurant quality meats. Great variety. Great pricing for the best cuts of meat. I can't say enough about Tate Meatworks. Once you experience their quality meats you won't want to go back to a big box store for your protein needs.

My experience at Tates butcher shop was from beginning to end the best experience I've ever had Mr. Tate was extremely knowledgeable about every product that he had in his store and was passionate telling me about each item I asked about. I ended up getting the tri-tip wagyu beef steak. Mr. Tate told me how to prep it how to cook it even the amount of time that it needed to breathe. The quality of this meat is unmatched I have had wagyu beef from other places and this was a transformative meat experience that's right not even a meal it was an experience that I bought. The pricing is also Fair for what I got there I would have easily payed $65 to $72 at other places. So I say thank you and welcome to Spartanburg Mr. Tate we hope that you stay here a long time! I will definitely be a multiple repeat customer!

I love Tate Meatworks! Their steaks are even better than most of your high end steak restaurants. And they not only have steaks, they have the best scallops I've ever had. I've also bought their salmon, shrimp, Chuck roast, sausages, ground beef...all are of the best quality. Grant knows his stuff and is always so friendly and fun to talk to!

Everything is so fresh and clean. The customer service is awesome. We've had the crab legs, shrimp, ground chuck, and ribeyes. And everything we have cooked from there has been awesome. It was ridiculous how tender the ribeyes were. Love this place. Well worth going to. Please try it out.
