We LOVE Lanier's! Do not let the close-to-downtown-Harrisburg location turn you away. The atmosphere is one of a local neighborhood market, very welcoming. The staff is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable about their products. You can request the meat be cut to your specification as well as purchase off the shelf. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the t-bones cut to 2-inch thickness (on sale for $4.99/pound). We tried the Boss Man package and it has lasted a family of 4 over 2 months! The meat is delicious and fresh and we will not shop for meat anywhere else! Also the fresh frozen vegetables are well worth the price and also delicious! Sign up for their text alerts and you receive the latest sales and specials. I recommend Lanier's to everyone!

Today was my first visit to Lanier's Meat Market. After seeing posts shared by many friends, I decided to stop in. I purchased a 40lb case of boneless chicken breasts for $44, rib eyes for $6.99 and some jars of homemade jams. Awesome deals! And the customer service here was excellent. The owner came out and spoke to me, at the meat counter I was helped as soon as I walked up, cashier was kind and efficient, and my purchase was all put I to my vehicle for me. A+ service

Disgusted!!! Purchased ground pork yesterday. Went to use it today. Smelled a bit off. Broke off a chunk, and it was dark grey inside. Didn't keep the receipt, didn't think that I would need it. Lesson learned. Never buy ground pork from Lanier's again!!

Went for the first time and purchased "The Meat Man Package". Majority of the meat was good. But we ended up with two packages of ground sausage that were spoiled. And cube steak was borderline. We through away receipt, so we didn't bother trying to take it back.

This is the place to get meat in Augusta. It can get busy, so be prepared to wait at a counter, but the wait is worth it. If it is your first time, let them know and they will give you a free jar of jam (of your choice). They also sponsor an event or two at the Appleby library each year, offering free brats.

Went in recently --First time visit was very impressed with the staff -- everyone was pleasant and attentive - felt as if it was just ME in the store ! - they cut the goat i bought exactly how i wanted it , spoke with the owner Mr Wayne about some country ham , which i am collecting today - he kept his word on delivery date - intend to get some other stuff today and have already told several people about the service --- KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK __ ! and I got to state that there was NO smell of meat in That store ! Do not tell yourself you'll eventually come. Just come!!! Lived here for almost 5 yrs and my first time coming based on friends recommendations. The prices are reasonable and the meat is incredibly fresh! Lots of staff assisting. Many people coming in and out so that says a ton! If you don't see something, just ask and they will see if it's there. During the holidays they have lots of specials. The entire place smells super clean! Checkout is quick and they even help load your purchases to your vehicle. Save some money and buy in bulk for your parties and or family stock up. You will be happy.

This is my favorite butcher shop in the CSRA (Greater Augusta area). They Have every kind of meat that can be imagined and a few that may surprise (lamb, gator, rabbit, etc) and they have sides, sodas and condiments but the meat is why I love them. The prices are always at lease fair and average, if not good to great. Depending on what the season and the store stock there are always bulk deals to be had; so if you are not picky and are good with buying 10 pounds or more at a time of any particular meat you will be happy.

Hands down the best meat market in the area. Their specials and bundles are just the whipped cream and cherry on top. Need it sliced? No problem! The frozen vegetables have excellent taste. Allocate some of your food budget to this great locally owned store and you will not be disappointed.
