To my the store is more explosive then Walmart, Public,food line target Harris Teeter when it come to individual wet cat food can. I do wish that Compare would open another store in South Charlotte closer to Ballantyne. It took me 18 minutes to get to the store from South Charlotte.

I like to go to compare foods all the time because wether you need a fruit or vegetable or a piñata or drinks or warn bread or tortillas you can go get them here. Want to send money or buy joulery or eat a quick lunch inside also have it here. They have all kind of things here. Did I mention they have car or business insurance or public notary and even phone service like boost Mobile too. Just go buy check it out you're be amazed!

The store is good but they are very strict with people with backpacks and have an African American security watching over the store. if you come in with your personal belongings they will walk over and tell you to leave it up front. Hes rude and shouldn't be there. Speaking to an employee about finding an item is difficult since they can't speak good English & employees would think I'm Hispanic speak English with me! Other than that I dislike the walking distance to the light rail ramp since there is no short cut

This is my favorite grocery store in all of Charlotte. This store has the widest variety of produce, meat, dairy, and international items out of any store in the entire state. This is not a regular grocery store like Food Lion. It is much better with unbeatable prices and top notch customer service. Most of the staff is bilingual (English and Spanish) but once in a while, you may get someone who doesn't speak English very well. Don't let that bother you. They will find someone to help you if the communication isn't working. They even have hot food and a bakery inside the store. I also recommend getting cleaning supplies from there, as the Hispanic cleansers are available in a huge variety of fragrances. I love it!

‼️I WILL NEVER SPEND MY MONEY HERE AGAIN‼️ By far the worst customer service. My husband and I visited compared foods today and we were followed around the store and racially profiled. If you asked me this is unacceptable. The worker as well as the manager have horrible dispositions. I went to purchase almond milk for my child and I got Pushed to the back on the line and was told the machines were down. But they took the next customers items and they paid with a card as well. Oh and I was paying with a debit card not food stamp card. this store caters only to Hispanic and they are racist to African Americans. I will never shop with this store again.

Be careful here. We purchase supposely fresh red snapper, shrimp that was frozen and imitation crab meat. We cooked red snapper the day we purchased it. It was bad. The fish was bad. Never again. Next day we tried crab with salad it was also bad. My wife is originally from Jamaica so we went here for things you can't find at HT. Like Calloo, Ackee and salt fish. Now we are concern about salt fish. Because it was our first trip purchased a lot. If your from islands, Mexico or South America they have a lot of unique items. However beware of fresh food. For us there are other options.

Went to cash my pay roll check today and cashier was rude.He made me go to the back of the line.The same cashier took my check and said it was fake. I asked for the manager whom just happened to own the store with her husband Omar.I told her the cashier was rude and treated me differently than other customers . I'm am a black female. Really good prices on chicken all of the time but all other meats you will find are trimmed down to almost nothing, such as cubed steak. Their cubed steak is near paper thin all of the time. When it comes to American prepared dishes you cannot work with cubed steak that thin. Their turkey necks are always chopped into small undesirable pieces, we here in the south hate that! Also most of the time their steaks are way too thin too. The produce and international sections saves this store. Other than that like I said it's hit or miss.

Compare Foods is an excellent grocery store, I wish there was a closer one to my house but their prices are so much cheaper than the stores that are nearby it's totally worth it to drive a little further. You won't find a better produce section anywhere but the farmers market and their meat section is surprisingly fresh and high quality. I recommend it to anyone.
