I was very displeased with my experience with them. I took 2 pasture raised hogs in July 2017 with intention to sell the meat at the downtown Hickory Farmers market. -They single wrapped the meat in paper. The paper ripped easy. When transporting the meat, condensation would degrade the paper. Which made it a hard product to sell. -In regards to sausage, they were just lazy. I asked for 1 lb. packs, (because most of my customer don't want to keep more then that in a fridge and we lost many sells) but we received closer to 2lb. packs, but they were not a precise 2 lb. pack. -Some of the packs were labeled wrong. Customers complained. -Lastly, THEY GROUND MY BACON INTO SAUSAGE!!!! Sorry, I would not recommend these guys to any market seller.

Had a cow processed there. Great job with cuts and wrapping of meat. The sausage is the best. Beef tongue was outstanding. Great prices and service with quick turn around

Nice guy. But I do not recommend. I requested specific items be saved, like marrow bones and ribs. I got zero marrow bones and 4- 5" pieces of ribs. I expected a whole rack because i had a half of cow processed there. I have bought meat from two people who use Caldwells and I wont be buying from them again if they use this guy. Very disappointed, I feel like i was robbed. Mr. Caldwell offered other bones from different cows, But I just want what I paid for, I don't want someone else's bones. I buy Grass fed no hormones no antibiotic beef. I don't think he understands the quality difference. My wife was in tears. We work hard for our money. Packaging is single ply paper. Steaks were cut well.
