These big meats are simply fantastic, I cannot get enough of that fresh juicy ribs. I love this place m'm'mm! so good you will cry from one bite. Tender and succulent ribs, the steak slices just right, love it with salt, my favorite, moose meat. That moose meat, you gotta try it for yourself if you truly want to enjoy "Big Meats & More" for yourself.

Coupled with McLeod Farms, it is an excellent choice for lunch and light shopping. Bigg's has a comprehensive lunch menu. We have had the burgers on several occasions. Quality each time. It is about 25 minutes from the Lamar area, slightly shorter from Hartsville SC (~15 minutes). Just a nice mini getaway on a Friday evening or Saturday afternoon (open until 3:00 PM). Enjoy a great atmosphere and fresh air. Check the operating hours before you go. The museum offers a refreshing glimpse of past agricultural technology.

We had eaten at Big's several times in the past and the food was wonderful! We went for an early dinner last week and were very disappointed. We ordered burgers, the burgers were made out of very lean beef which makes for a dense burger with very little taste. Also, the burgers were not fresh cooked, the time from ordering to delivery of the food was very short, not enough time to properly cook a burger. AND....... the burgers were lukewarm, not hot at all; no juice in the meat, very dry. apparently pre-cooked and warmed when ordered; the lettuce was less than fresh. When you walk into a food establishment for a burger, shouldn't you smell the burger cooking? Or something cooking? We were totally disappointed. I do not usually write negative reviews, however, something has happened to change the quality of the meal from what we remembered on our last visit (which was 2 or 3 years ago). Sorry to have to do this, but someone needs to know how the locals feel about your food.

We always like to stop by Mcleod's either on the way to or from the beach. Today we stopped at Big Meats and got a hot dog all the way. It was yummy and hit the spot. We also picked up some steaks for later. This is my second time eating here and it's always good. The tea was great also. Be sure to check it out on your way through.

Good American fare. A little pricey. Good place to stop by on a day trip of touring. Check out the "collection" building. It is full of old timey stuff and vehicles sure to bring back memories and incidentally, create new ones! Be sure to save room for ice cream and cobbler next door.

Nice place to visit with family. Good food and service. Nice museum and farm fresh vegetables for sale. One problem with this place. They only allow criminals with concealed weapons, not law abiding conceal carry. See picture. This was on the doors. I drove 75 miles to get there or I would have left upon see this sign. Don't feel comfortable with criminals having the upper hand. It's puzzling people being more scared of law abiding people than criminals. I will not be going back.

Last year we discovered this place and fell in love! This year we anticipated driving the 75 miles with glee in our hearts. For a whole week comments on fresh peaches, green beans, and award winning burgers were aplenty. We were greeted with dry flavorless burgers, hard buns, and under cooked fries. Everyone has a bad day so the amazing 7 layer chocolate cake would make up all wrongs. We were sadly disappointed. The cake was dry and the icing was rubbery. It was in may ways...Jello like. I am still wondering how that happens. When the waitress, who was very friendly asked how we were. I asked what was wrong with the frosting. She took it to the owner and she replied that is the way it is now. Along with the new cook they have a new baker as well. I may skip going back next year. PS...the fresh peaches have no smell and very little flavor. I should have tried before buying 3 boxes.
