This was by far the most disgusting, repulsive, vomit-inducing establishment I have ever set foot in. I have seriously considered calling the USDA to report this business for non-compliance with their butcher shop. The smell of dead, rotting animals when I walked in immediately made me want to throw up. We had ordered a pig for a pig roast -- granted, I know they have to kill it, gut it, etc, which is not pretty! -- but there was far too much dealt with in an unclean way (and exposed to the customer!)... such as: blood/general slime on the doors, rodent disposal bins in the corners, flies everywhere, a dog licking the guy's hand as he came out of the butcher room... then watching him NOT wash his hands, type on his computer, and go back into the butcher room. All without gloves / hand washing. It was absolutely vile. Did I mention the smell?? I had to breathe through my mouth the entire time to stay there.
Furthermore the staff hardly spoke English besides the one guy that helped us. Thankfully I had my boyfriend with me otherwise I - a small 24 yr old blond girl - would have felt seriously uncomfortable in this setting. On top of that there were quite a few people there who looked under 18 working in the butcher room.
I will never go back to this heinous place, and hope that this review serves as an appropriate warning to anyone looking to purchase meet from them. The pig tasted good but it was not worth the risk of getting it from such a disgusting place.
