Awesome small grocery chain. Like a less overwhelming Wegman's (which is high praise, IMHO). Terrific butcher shop, fish market, deli, fresh vegetables, and prepared food. FREE COFFEE! Staff is great. Prices are reasonable.

I really like this Super. They have a pretty good selection of organic produce and it is not too expensive. The prepared foods are very good, especially the soups. The meat counter has high quality meats. The sushi is average super market quality sushi - nothing to write home about. They have free coffee - which is nice.

Dave's is a very nice small grocery store chain. The prepared food section is excellent, produce is always fresh, and coffee to drink as you shop is complimentary. This makes for a relaxed and pleasant shopping experience, although the prices may be at times a bit higher than some of the bigger stores, this is not always the case.

My family loves Dave's. Their organic produce section has been growing. Their prices are good. And the organic produce is high quality. Some supermarkets you can smell the chlorine, even on organic apples. Not Dave's. Clearly they are careful of the suppliers they use and the quality of their food. My kids also like their prepared meals.

Great market - affordable and very thoughtfully managed. The department heads are focused on quality, service and variety. Solid produce, butcher, deli, bakery, cheese shop and fresh seafood operations are found here, the latter offering good variety, local products and special ordering. There are, most often, store managers on the floor, overseeing every facet of the operation such as customer service, freshness and quailty of the prepared food offerings (varied and high-quality), stock levels and cleanliness. They offer free coffee and tea.

Beautiful, clean market. The fruit and veggie displays are exceptional and taste wonderful! Lots of prepared foods for people who don't like to, have no time for or can't cook! They have an olive bar, salad bar, hot food bar and soup bar. The baked goods are delicious! They have booths in front of the store where you can sit and eat, great idea. 2 day midweek sales, no "store cards" needed for the sale items.

Daves can be pricey but the experience of being there in its atmosphere is worth it. Great selection. I usually shop the perimeter for fresh stuff. Produce, salmon, deli, pizza, meat. Sometimes hit the aisles for ok sales. Free coffee while you shop!

I have been shopping at Dave's markets for over forty years. The Wickford store has been my store since they opened. Dave's used to rate 5 stars for food freshness, quality and excellence in customer service. Unfortunately, there have been many times in the past 6 months that I found expired products on the shelves, especially in dairy. More than once I bought bad chicken. Just a month or so ago I opened the meat case door and was overwhelmed by the stench of spoiled chicken. The clerk was very apologetic and said he'd tell his boss right away. The return policy used to be great but since they started requiring a receipt I have had trouble returning Dave's own brand items. Customer service is okay but not as awesome as it used to be. Forty years of excellence deserves recognition but the current state of affairs deserves three stars at best. It has been disheartening to watch Dave's Market slide down to the world of average; they truly were once outstanding.
