Going there once a year to stock up on German meat, sausage, sweets etc. They have home made Swabian specialties like Maultaschen, Spätzle etc. It is a one jour drive for me or I would go there more often. The quality of their food is outstanding

Ordered a hot dog just to try the place out. The food was good but what really struck me is the staff. They are a devoted family business and it shows. The staff and atmosphere match the quality of the food. I will definitely be coming back to see what else they have to offer.

You can have the best meat in the world but customer service sucks. Took early train to get there before 6. Got there before 6. Handwritten note in door "closed" with customer being rung up. Messy haired blonde refused to sell me the 24 wursts i need for tomorrow. I really will never darken your door again. I have people in s philly i have sent up. Never, ever again. If you aren't going to be open til 6, publish 5:45. This is how you lose business in one step.

One of the few authentic German butchers left. This is one my German grandmother frequented. Products from the "old country" are an addition to the freshly prepared wursts and meats. The potato salad, bacon and hamburgers are Staples in our house. The stuffed chicken is a favorite too. Last visit two people from over 50 miles away we talking in the store.

I beg my friends who live in a neighboring town to make a special trip to Oxford Avenue for bacon, or hocks, or some other specialties that are always available here. Often would get advice about other things I should try based on what they've learned about my tastes, and never been disappointed!

Old school German butcher shop. Have loved this family-run business since I was a kid. All of your German favorites-- Leberkase, rauchspiechen, landjaeger, gulash, strudel, potato salad, spaetzle, sauerkraut and more! Highly recommend the Hungarian salami, slab bacon, and kielbasi. Also have pierogie and stuffed cabbage-- Yummm!

My mom was from Germany, she used to go here all the time for her favorite German meats. She did say, thou, that "since the old man died, the meats are not as good as they used to be." (They make their own) But we still frequented the store at least once every other month. The weiners are the best hot dogs you can get. I also get my liverwurst here, and my German breads. However, I'm annoyed that they no longer carry the Magi brand of Spaetzle, and have to order it on-line now. And their line of Potato Dumpling mixes/instants, is not replenished very often, either. But they have tons of other stuff for you to make an authentic German Dinner without the fuss.

I was just there this afternoon and was shocked to see workers handling food without wearing gloves. I inquired about it and the worker sort of shrugged his shoulders. Reikers German Delicatessen is still a family business and sells the freshest meats, cheeses, sauerkraut, spetzle,n apfel strudel, and other German faire. Since my parents owned a business a few stores down, I grew up on their amazing hot dogs and laneggers. Now, I live an hour away but still need to stop in every few months. The place is still going so strong, it's best to avoid the long lines on Saturdays!

I love this butcher! The German meats are superb and plenty of imported German products. Pricing is very reasonable and service helpful and fast. If anyone likes liverwurst make sure to try theirs as it's one of my favorites along with their Landjäger! I do have one complaint: whatever time they say they close be sure to know that they actually close 15 minutes before that time. I have made that mistake twice now and I have to drive for 30 minutes to get there. This is extremely irritating when you think you will get there in plenty of time to do a last minute pick up and pull in and the closed signs are up and the back gate is pulled down over the door. If a store says they close at 5pm, then close at that time, NOT 15 minutes before. Or at the very least put the true time of closing on the website and on the answering machine please. It's just not fair to your loyal customers!
