Old fashion butcher shop . Fresh quality meat. Boar’s Head deli products. Freshly made sides and desserts. They’ll cut the meat the way you want it. Different lunch sandwiches daily. Friendly service. The prices are affordable for fresh meat- not frozen from a meat packer company. We’ve been shopping there for years. I highly recommend Bill Kamp’s .

Best homemade tabouli salad I've ever eaten. Best meat market in the city. The service is fantastic and they offer such great brands in the deli cabinet as well. Call 'em up and reserve all natural, organic holiday turkeys. Their daily lunch special will not disappoint. Top notch place.

Very friendly staff, great variety of uncommon products of high quality. Now let me get to the steaks, we pulled 7 thick cut steaks out of the cabinet and they were just amazing, they ended up being cooked more than I liked and it didn't matter, juicy and tender and such amazing flavor. Very great rib eye steak. It's worth the 5 hour drive.

Heard about the place it was my first time ,the place looked cozy and clean,I ordered a piece of meat,with some ground beef,the person who served me wasn't wearing gloves he pulled my piece of meat with his bare fingers,and I ordered ground beef and the same way he put the meat 8pm if the scale and kept adding /subtracting with his bare fingers frankly it was a turn off, if this how they handle the meat in front I wonder what goes on in the back.sorry mr.kamp put yourself in my shoes you will be turned off too.

The spiral ham I ordered was amazing, flavoring just right. I'm glad that for the first time I had ham that was not overly salty or dry. The reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the desserts were just okay. I ordered the chocolate bourbon pie and the apple cobbler. I've had the bourbon chocolate pie before and I was disappointed that I barely tasted the bourbon on this one. They must have changed the recipe because the consistency wasn't even the same. The apple cobbler had a good flavor but the crust was tough and chewy (and a lot smaller than I expected). I paid about $30 for both desserts and I wish I had saved that money to buy other stuff. I tasted the blueberry lemon cake while I was there and that was amazing so I had my hopes up for the ones I ordered. The staff was super friendly, I had a good buying experience.

I have been looking for a place like this. I haven't purchased meat anywhere else once I found this place. Everyone has been very friendly, and nobody seems to mind answering questions. The quality of the meat is significantly higher than what I have purchased at the big grocery store chains. I have yet to try the side dishes that they sell, but I did try the peach cobbler today. I'll be adding that to my list from now on. Also, the smoked meatloaf is a must try. If you're looking for a local place to buy quality food, and have an enjoyable conversation while you're waiting on your order to be filled, this is your place!

Had a great time reminiscing with Bill about wonderful memories from Kamp's Grocery. Really enjoyed looking at his memorabilia on the walls & discussing our grandparents & cousins, my father Alfred the baker & his father William the butcher. Lots of great memories & was so impressed with his onwn meat market. Of course, couldn't leave without picking up some ham spread & pimento cheese spread. Delicious! Can't say enough good things about the service, and quality of goods from these folks. I have been using them for a few years, and have never been disappointed. Get there early on Fridays, and Saturdays for delicious smoked ribs.

The best quiche I have ever ever eaten! Just leave the spinach mushroom for me. And my standards are pretty crazy high. The crust holds up better than any restaurant from here to Paris. Yes I’ve been there. Now the beef review: Buy less this coming year, but buy BETTER! I have not tasted prime rib at this quality since the 70”s. However, I will not buy steaks at conventional grocery stores, regardless of their fame. And I am typically disappointed when buying from other big talk meat markets. The beef at Kamp’s is unmatched. If you need help cooking it, send me a request and I will help you through it, but thats just to protect the beef. Loyalty is earned, and this is where my prudent spending will be rewarded. I used a cast iron skillet with butter, Kamp’s marinate ( they want to protect the beef, too ) lemon and garlic. When I make veal marsala, I will be back to discuss it, but the beef will be a given.

My first time there today. The staff were not only knowledgeable, but they were nice and friendly. They treated me like I've been a loyal customer all my life on my first visit, and that says a lot. Also, they remembered my single phone call from last week when I mentioned I needed a rump roast sliced for beef jerky, which they do, and they do excellently! When the first slice was made, I was asked if it was the right thickness, and it was spot on! Because they were so nice, and they sliced up 4.6 pounds without complaint, here's the Jerky recipe that has been in my family for a long time, and is very -very- low on sugar, enough so that it's diabetic friendly. For every 2 to 2.5 pounds of thin sliced beef (rump): 1 Gallon Zip Lock Plastic Bag 1.5 Cups Beef Broth 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce 2 Tablespoons Minced Garlic 1 Teaspoon White Pepper 1 Teaspoon Smoked Paprika 1/2 Cap of Liquid Smoke --- Put all ingredients into the Gallon sized Zip Lock Plastic bag. Shake it up to mix some, about a good 15 seconds back and forth. Add 2 to 2.5 pounds of thin sliced beef. Seal bag and shake it some more to distribute the marinade. Put in Fridge for 24 hours. Remove beef and press dry so it doesn't drip. Use in your favorite dehydrator, as these devices can vary, check your manufacturer's booklet on how long to dehydrate beef strips. I can promise you a surprise. At first bite, you might not feel overly impressed, but as you chew on it, flavors get released in waves. The longer you chew, the more crazy good it gets. The White Pepper holds a nice spice-filled build up that is not overpowering. Plus, you actually taste the flavor of the beef too, it's not so seasoned up that the beef flavor is completely overpowered. Again, to the folks at Bill Kamp's, thank you ever so much. You've won me over for life, I'll be back for more. ^_^

Researched a few closer meat markets and they had bad customer service reviews, but Bills had great ones, plus the questions were answered so I gave them a try. Had the meat I was looking for and I grabbed a bbq brisket sandwich for lunch which was excellent. Great trip. Will be going back.

On the Barbecue Blowout Saturdays and Sundays, you must order a Weeping Willie. It is pulled pork, jalapeño coleslaw, and a vinegary barbecue sauce on a bun. They sell out early sometimes. I love this sandwich.
