Great selection of sausages, something like 200+ varieties total, at least 20-30 at any given time. Fresh selection of other meats, fresh free-range turkeys at Thanksgiving time, good beer selection. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Bring a cooler.

Great batch-made gourmet sausages: chicken, beef, pork, you name it, they have it. But maybe not every time you go. If you have a favorite, you may want to call ahead. Seasonal specialties too!

Just had a lovely lunch here , with a perfect sunny day to sit out on the picnic benches to finish our sandwiches. We bought some of the Gourmet sausage to go home for dinner. The staff here is very friendly and helpful.

I can get Boar's Head products at the grocery store. I don't need to pay someone to assemble that for me. Not to mention you have to pay as "double-meat" for pastrami or corned beef. If these are exotic in some way then I don't understand why you have to pay double for turkey, or chicken as well (and you do). Thank GOD they will serve you bologna without counting it as two meats. I called for lunch for my first time trying the place and about four guys from work were gonna order, but the claim to fame there is all of this allegedly creative sausage. They said there is no possible way to get any kind of sausage during lunch. Also there is no kind of sampler or meat plate to try more than one item. Only sandwiches and soup or salad is available for lunch- but better not want anything other than bologna, ham or salami or it will count as double! rip off business model. Not worth the trouble just to try a new place!

A true butcher/specialty shop featuring quality fresh beef, pork, chicken, and a wide selection of frozen fresh seafood. Dozens of flavors of pork and chicken sausage - all fresh and delicious. Also has a good assortment of breads and rolls. Produce and some dairy items complete the picture. Our only place to shop for meats, deli, seafood.

Went to Gibb's to buy meat today for Father's Day. Thought I would also get one of their salads. While at the salads window, the woman opens up the refrigerated case to fill up the pasta salad container. She put the cardboard gallon container of pasta salad on top of the macaroni salad in the case. She then re-filled the pasta salad bowl and then returned the carton of pasta salad back onto the wire shelf where she got it with macaroni salad all over the bottom of it. She then turned to me with the case still open and sneezed into her arm and said, "Can I help you"? I said, "Not now" and I walked away. Pretty Disgusting!

I am a first time customer and have visited twice in the last month. They have a large selection and the quality is great. Customer service does need work. It's confusing to place your order because you don't know where to start. There has been large crowds each time I go and you are not sure where to go to place your order. Today I stood by the lunch meat section to place an order and stood there 5 minutes. There were 6 employees working behind the counter and not one of them looked up. I finally asked if I was in the right place to place an order and a woman told me another person would help me. I asked how ordering worked because I wanted to get other items from the other side of the counter and he asked what I wanted. I told him. I ordered a couple other things, but he acted as if it was annoying to get other things I wanted. The girls working the cashier section were the same. No greeting and/or eye contact. Your employees need to make your customers feel more welcome. I know it gets busy and they are running, but I probably will think twice before going again.

We go every Saturday for their free gourmet sausage samples from noon to 4pm, then we go in and order a few of our favorites. We'll often also get a pound of ground chuck and/or a couple of their $3 seasoned steaks. We have also now added a few sweets to our circuit. My husband and I usually share some peach rings, and I've become partial to the Amish-made fry-pies. My favorite is the coconut. They offer an awesome variety of sausages. It's absolutely mind-boggling what they put into these things and how amazing they taste. You really should come to the samplings.

Great selection, comfortable home town feel. Really the only place I've seen with such an assortment of flavored sausages!! Owner is nice and accommodating. Customer service could definitely be better from some of the younger staff. In a few instances they've gotten snappy and lacked patience. I realize it gets chaotic on busy days, but as the saying goes- if you don't like blood you shouldn't work at a hospital.

Saturday Is a great day to visit Gibbs. They have sampling of sausages, cooked fresh on the grill outdoors, then chopped into serving size pieces with containers of toothpicks. You get to sample your sausage before you buy it. They have a wide variety of excellent meats as well...and several other interesting food items throughout the small store on that corner. Look them up, give them a try... I doubt very much you'll be disappointed.

So many different choices of sausages! Flavors I've never seen, and all of the one's I've tried were great. It's almost hard to pick which ones to try next! If the cut of meat is not in the front cooler, ask, they almost always can cut it for you at that time. Call ahead if you have a large order, they'll have it ready when you get there.

A fellow employee told me about this place. So I stopped by to check it out. At certain times of the day, it's tough to get a parking stop. After I walked in- I understood why. They have a great deli where they make sandwiches either off a menu, or you can make your own up. They have a two page menu of different sausages sold seasonal throughout the year. AND THE STEAKS! I still have to compare prices at Market District, but just enough fat for taste! I can't wait to try them one of these weekends. In short, definitely worth I stop if your in the neighborhood.

I am big fan of the locally sourced items like bread from Michael's and Mazzone's, Sophie's Pierogies and more! They have high-quality meats (best beef around), great beef jerky, uniquely delicious sausage options (chicken and pork), reasonable freezer pack deals, and special cookouts on the weekends. They also have local fresh produce, and many other grocery-related items there. The staff has always been helpful and very polite. I highly recommend checking out Gibbs Butcher Block!
