I have visited the Lexington location a few times. Every visit I noticed that 'you don't feel very welcomed'. No one makes much of an effort to be friendly. The cashiers hardly speak and some of the people at the meat counter are pretty short to you as well. My husband even mentioned that he had the same feeling. It is certainly not an atmosphere of 'ole timey' feelings. We left and went to Publix! Hey folks at Ole Timey. sorry we bothered you with our business! Guess you have enough and don't need us!

I agree with the previous review by Lori. I have been in several times, and the clerk at the front counter NEVER even acknoldges that you have even walked in the door. Also, the only thing she says upon checkout, is your total. Never says thank you and hardly ever lifts her head from her cell phone. Very disrespectful and poor customer service.

A wide assortment of meats and specialty items to choose from. Frozen fish and veggies in the coolers and a few choices of fresh produce outside...Service was somewhat impersonal but I was there for steaks and not a conversation.

I have been going to Ole Timey for years and I have never had a single one of their employees be rude to me in any way. Their meat is so incredibly superior to anything else in Columbia it's not even comparable. Keep on being you Ole Timey and you will continue have plenty of happy customers.

My wife had heard about this Meat market from some co-workers. We decided to try them this weekend. We bought four bacon wrapped filets and four sirloins. We had the filets Sunday and were amazed how tender they were. Great taste also, (no one used any bbq sauce). Can't wait to try the sirloins. We'll definitely be back!

I BOUGHT SOME GROUND SIRLOIN AS WELL AND ASKED FOR 2 POUNDS AND IT WAS ALITTLE OVER AND THE GUY WENT TO GRAB SOME OFF WITH HIS BARE HANDS. HOW GROSS!!!! I was the only one that came in the store when I said hello she STILL did not even acknowledge me.. the young boy at the meat counter was using HIS HANDS TO PACK MY HAMBURGER GROUND ROUND .. then acted offended when I asked him to use the plastic as that is what it was for.. I DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHERE HIS HANDS HAD BEEN OR IF THEY were WASHED. WHEN I CHECKED OUT ANOTHER CASHIER TRIED TO ARGUE WITH ME FOR SAYING SOEMTHING. I TOLD HER I DID NOT COME FOR AN ARGUMENT!! THIS PLACE IS NASTY AND DO NOT VALUE THEIR CUSTOMER !!! I WILL NEVER GO .. BACK!!!

We love the products at Ole Timey Meat Market. However, we have visited 2 times in the last 2 and 1/2 weeks and have been treated rudely by the check out clerk. When we walk in she doesn't speak but is sitting on a stool playing with her cell phone. Today I went in and said I needed 4 boxes of 5-lb sirloin burgers. She pointed to the cooler and said, 4th door. I asked if there was someone that could help me and she gave no response. After making 2 trips to the check out counter she never spoke, I paid for the products and there was no thank you. This happened to my partner 2 1/2 weeks ago and he told me about it. We love the products but really, maybe this person would be happier in a different position. I, myself, have 2 18 year old honor students that would love a job. They can also speak to the customer with a smile and say How May I Help You? and Thank you. Just a thought.
