I stopped by on a whim and was delighted to know this little jewel is here in Columbia. Purchased a bunch of ready-to-cook packages...all were really good. I ate all the tomato bisque by myself (probably shouldn't have admitted that!)

A group of us from work went to the NY Butcher Shop for the first time today and ordered sandwiches for lunch. Everything we ordered was great. The sandwiches are HUGE and very delicious. They also have a big selection of ready-to-cook meals (I picked up a meat lasagna and lobster macaroni and cheese).

Ever since they reopened with new owners, they have been amazing. Every ready to bake meal is fantastic and reasonably priced. The chicken parmesan is better than any Italian restaurant in Augusta. Also, if they have them.. buy a brownie. You won't regret it.

We had guests for dinner over the weekend so decided to get steak here. I got to admit that I was shocked at the price but the quality of the prime beef steaks that I got here were genuinely 2nd to nothing I have ever tasted before. Not priced for the every day meal but for a special occasions these steaks were beyond tender and seasoned to perfection. Truly an incredible meal, and our guests were extremely complementary too.

Our go-to for excellence in all meats, chicken, salmon, and the rotating supply of fresh off the boat seafoods - you have to be quick to hook some on a Friday! Dinner specials, and prepared ready-to-go casseroles are superb. Wine club is an excellent value for interesting, well priced new world wines, and the monthly get together is the best block party ever. Columbia is finally developing a real food scene!

I usually get my steaks from a secret farm outside of Columbia. I usually don’t buy from stores and figured I’d check this place out on a whim since I smoke steaks for friends on Saturdays and needed a couple extra steaks. I got 16 oz of CAB NY strip. Immediately cut in half, added some salt and pepper grind, slapped it on the grill, seared it and let it finish indirect. These steaks were some of the best I’ve ever had. Super tender and easily cut with a fork. Definitely beats the farm to table steaks cooked at the same time. I hope they’ll make a steak only freezer stock package then I’ll be in way more often as they are kind of on the expensive side.

Great Butcher Shop. Quality of meat and quality of customer service cannot be beat. Jack did a great job with procuring a GREAT suckling pig for our Rec Tec Grill. I've also been there for their sandwiches during a work lunch and they are very tasty. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Great experience! We met the owner at a local restaurant one night and decided to try out their steaks the next weekend. The staff was extremely helpful and the Ribeyes were fantastic!

Not that impressed. Way overpriced. We purchased a filet, NY Strip, Ribeye and some shrimp. $127.00 The meat was tough and too fatty. The shrimp were nice and I liked the Kenyan hot sauce. It’s a heck of lot cheaper on Amazon. I’m used to buying all my meats at a butcher shop so I have some experience. Average meat at a hefty price. There are better butcher shops in town.

Great food! So much to choose from. Fresh daily. They make most of what is there, including ribs daily. There are pastas, soups, great sandwiches 10 cent Cokes, and a lot more. What a great place!

What an absolutely great place and the owner Jack is a true prince of a guy. He completely bent over backwards to make sure I was pleased with my selections. His customer skills and work ethics are top drawer in my book. Haven’t yet cooked the meat I bought but it looks inviting enough before hand. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

We have purchased prepared meals for the oven. For 2 or 4 adults. You can't beat the quantity, quality and price. Always delicious. I purchased gift cards for Christmas and all were happy. The folks at this place are always extremely helpful, and good natured. The food is outstanding, and the selection doesn't just include meats. They've got pastas, vegetables, and sandwiches as well. I love that I live in a city with a butcher shop like this. They have a large selection of obviously high quality meats as one would expect. However, their ready to cook and ready to eat selection is just as cool. I don't know what it is about their chicken parmesan, but I've never done it as well as they do it. Pickles, wines, beer, and everything charcuterie. They were very helpful with a special order of mine, and I heard they cater too. Skip the grocery store for their quality and selection.

This place is a hidden gem. I happened to see this place while driving back from an appointment and decided to check it out. I ordered the Brooklyn sandwich(delicious) and bought several other things as well. I love this place and i will be getting a sandwich for lunch today as well
