One of Brooklyns last old school butchers left. Great selection of fresh hand cut beef . The meat is cut in the back. Fresh mozzarella made here daily . All sorts of goodness going on here . Joe ,rocky and the rest of the staff are good people .if you want quality this is the place.

I love their mozzarella and the sauces, not to mention the great pasta selection... so much more than a meat store. But today I was very upset to learn that they do not take back the bell jars they sell their sauces in. It would be so easy for them to sterilize (and they should be doing before canning anyway) and reuse them. Instead I was told they just throw out returned jars. I would give 5 stars, but the environmental impact for not reusing the reusable jars takes off two stars in my book. The planet is literally on fire and this store wont take one small but important step to help.

Great family run local butcher. High quality and reasonably priced. Try the bone in pork chops, country style ribs, whole antibiotic free chickens, or any cut of beef. Skip the meat sections at Whole Foods and Fairway and buy your proteins here.

Consistent top-quality meat. Amazing rib eye steaks, filet mignon, bone-in pork chops, skirt steaks and homemade sausages. They have prepared foods and a decent produce selection for one-stop shopping. They carry a large selection of bakery breads, pastas, dry foods and fresh ravioli. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. United is my primary butcher.

We have used this butcher since 1984 when we moved into the neighborhood. Real actual butchering takes place in the back. Smaller scale in front in full view. Most recent purchase was lamb stew package with bones sawed through, probably a shoulder. In spite of cuts, I could recognize the anatomical whole. Better poultry there too. Barry's tea. Extremely happy to have found this meat market. Everything is fresh and their homemade sausage is the best I have tasted. My meatballs never tasted so good. You do not need a knife to eat skirt steak- very tender. Quality of meats, vegetables, cold cuts and groceries is what I go there for.
