Came all the way here from Uptown just to change the glass and to get a new film. They run out of films and can't change the glass because I bought a European model. Rude staff. This is my last Samsung after 7 years. Next phone will be an iPhone for sure.

It’s really a whatever experience! From the outside it looks kinda cool. Perhaps the neighbourhood supports that. But then when you’re inside, the place feels really whatever. There’s little attention to details. Installations are ‘made in China’, paints are peeling off, very little integration of colours and themes.

Beautiful store, cheerful greetings at the door, $298 price tag to fix a small crack on the screen. Something about their estimates on necessary work seems nebulous at best and advantageous at worst (so this is what we are going to do to your phone take it or leave it. I am very disappointed

Went in for a battery replacement on my galaxy s7. Was quoted a price of $219 since the screen has to be replaced together with the battery. "They are glued together". Funny story especially since a mom and pops store down the street replaced only the battery for $75.

The store is actually not a store but a walk in center for repairs and to play around with the newest Samsung gadgets. They also have a kitchen upstairs where they offer snacks and other goodies. My phone was having hardware issues, and the staff quickly diagnosed and offered a viable solution for my problem, overall top notch establishment!!

I visited this location on 9/13 with friend of mine who has issues with Tablet. He was talking to the staff for assistance and I sat on the sofa and slightly closed my eyes. Right at the moment, Jose - didn’t give me his last name (floor manager) came over and said there is no sleeping here which I felt was very rude approach. He said it out loud in front of everyone which was impolite. No excuse me or sir.....no apology. When he started to walk away, I asked him for his name and did not provide his last name. The security guard had apologized on his behalf. For a place where you go for customer service, one would not expect such behavior from a manager. I felt very uncomfortable and had to leave. I felt discriminated against as I was not someone that was improperly behaved or dressed but I did carry an iPhone which I don’t believe is a crime to carry in a Samsung store. I would not go there or recommend anyone I know to go there.

This place is great for fun immersive experience and also has several laptops for to use. If you have issues with your phone this is the best place to go. You can make covers for your androids phones as well. They are pretty legit and unique.

I just had the best experience at the NYC Samsung 837 store. I am from Los Angeles and was planning on taking care of my screen crack repair when returning but I decided to have it handled while visiting the city earlier today and am I glad I did. The repair was handled within the two hour window they estimated. The repair was handled completely and professionally and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. Thank you!

At Samsung 837, you can check out all of the latest Samsung products. The VR experiences are fun, and I loved seeing the Frame TV on display. The people are super nice and will demo any product for you. I'd love to see an event here. Will definitely check it out again when I'm back in NYC.

This place has demonstrations of the latest Samsung electonics, appliances and gear also Samsung's interaction with other 3rd party gear. They have a place that demos their VR lenses. The also demo the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 camera and how it works in different lighting conditions - providing you with a digital copy of the photos to you email. They also have a mini home setup to show the latest Samsung appliances, gear and 3rd parties they interact with.

A sign at the front door should read, Experience? Yes. Expertise? No. I went to Samsung 837 to learn more about Samsung laptops. My three main devices are Samsung and I was looking to upgrade. When I asked the representative about the differences between the Samsung laptops, she pulled out her phone, Googled the answer and read it to me. Thanks, I could have done that myself. She seemed to have less knowledge about the product than I did. When I complained about it on the way out, I was told, "Well, this isn't a retail store." Add poor public relations to the list of what I experienced at Samsung 837.

Awesome place especially if you are a galaxy owner. Check out all things Samsung and ask any questions you may have. The staff is well trained on the equipment and happy to assist. I ventured there just before Superbowl so it was dead empty. Me and my son had the run of the place and tried out all the VR stuff. I can see the wait times might become unbearable at peak times especially since it's all free. They even have a smart apartment set up so you can experience your future living just like The Jetsons did. The refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer as well as all the lights, and music can have their features programmed from triggers or by your voice. Well that's if you can afford the high prices of the top of the line equipment. Like the led TV that's a picture on your bedroom wall when it's not showing a movie.

I went here to fix my charging port and I was told that I had to fix the phone screen as well. That totaled up to about $300.00, not including taxes. I was annoyed by that because the sole purpose of me going there was to fix my charging port since I was having issues obtaining a full battery. Besides that, the tech support guy was nice and empathized with me having to pay such a large amount during my visit.

Asked if they sold single galaxy buds as I lost my right one. Told me they don't sell them yet but i could purchase on Ebay and pair with my current case and earpiece. Did that and does not work. Not possible to pair. Absolutely no idea what they are talking about and giving out bad information. Ridiculous

Fine if you want a loud atmosphere similar to happy hour. If you think you can go there to compare laptops and find a knowledgeable support person who knows more about the specs of the laptops on display than "that one has a 13 inch monitor" or "that one has a 15" monitor", you're dreaming. Staff at Wal-Mart know more about their computers on display!

You guys need to fix your service. When calling and trying to speak to a customer representative the phone just hangs up. I live all the way in coney island so commuting is not an option i dont have time. Be nice if i can talk to someone and see what my options are to fixing a problem.

If you have a cracked screen on an s8 or newer, be very very careful what they say to you. IF YOU HEAR THE WORD EROSION, AVOID!! I'd like to just give a little bit of discussion with some complaint as well as a quick update on my phone's current status. I want to complain about the fact that I was forced to pay about $130 for "erosion in the headphone jack". It really wasn't fair. I bought my phone with a slight pixel issue but I didn't have time to come in to fix it. 2 weeks ago I cracked my screen unfortunately and I do not want to go to any 3rd party store and risk bad parts or anything at all - I've heard plenty of horror stories of going out of a store and having a screen crack soon after. I was told to check the Samsung 837 store. Let me be clear though - the actual work done and the staff are all very good and did a great job and were very nice. I spent 2 hours coming to the city on my Sunday on the suggestion of my friend who came in to the Samsung 837 store and got his cracked S8 fixed for ball park $150. I was told my headphone jack has erosion and that the total price comes to $280. I said this is absurd. I don't use the headphone jack and I will sign an agreement that I will never want the headphone jack fixed. The difference of $130 can go towards purchasing Gear Icon X Bluetooth headphones instead of fixing the headphone jack. I was told that because the screen is cracked, all warranty is voided and the store must fix any problems on the phone so that someone doesn't come back to the store and say it's become an issue etc. Erosion in the headphone port is obviously going to happen, according to what Samsung told me, because you say the phone is waterproof. People coming into your store to fix a phone will often be a cracked screen. Are you telling me you are charging everyone who has cleaned their phone under water with this erosion charge? At this time I've already spent almost 2 hours - I just wanted it to be done and I wasn't ready to go home spending 3 hours without anything done. I wasn't forced to do this but I felt pressured because of the time spent. Again - If I'm not mistaken the price difference of $130 is the price of a Gear Icon X. I would have loved to have one of those instead. I spoke again to my friend explaining this headphone jack charge and he told me they tried the exact same thing with him and he told Samsung there's no way he's paying for it and he ended up not paying for it. What is funny is that my cousin also had a different issue and they spoke of this erosion as well! It seems like Samsung LOVES to create this nonsense to make more money. At ball park $150 I would fix my phone screen. At $280 it is ridiculous and I would get a different phone. I want to repeat - the people in the store and the work done was great. But pricing is ABSURD.

I just wasted an hour of my life at 837. It could have been prevented had Samsung list their unreasonable cell phone repair policies on the VERY webpage you access to make your reservations! I only needed the cracked back glass of my S8+ replaced which on their website was itemized as a $60 repair cost. Which was reasonable so I made my appointment and showed up only to wait about 20 minutes before my ticket was called. Upon looking at the phone the Samsung store person unlocked it and did some developer diagnostics for the screen and battery. She said it would cost me over $400 for the repair. Apparently Samsung’s 837 Policy is to repair all parts of the device that they consider broken. So in addition to the cracked rear glass ($60), the front screen and panel ($300) needed to be replaced due to screen burn, the battery ($60) needed to be replaced because it was 2 years old, the bezel (?$) due to micro-scratches also had to be replaced. Now there are two things wrong here. The first is beyond the cracked back glass all the other repair items were from NORMAL USAGE of the device! So why should I have to pay for to replace them when I wasn’t even asking to fix those items!? The second is apparently I didn’t know what screen burn was but it is a widely known inherent flaw of the Galaxy S8+ AMOLED screens that should have had a recall years ago. Surprisingly screen burn can be reversed and fixed by running a free screen maintenance app call AMOLED Burn-In Fixer which un-sticks the pixels from whatever burn-in patter you have. I’m not sure how they expect anyone to pay $300 for an issue that is not a fault of the consumer AND an issue than can be fixed via software! Overall I love Samsung products but their greedy corporate repair policies are aligned with the USA cell phone carriers that force many consumers into buy new $1,000 cellphones every other year when repairing our current phones is better for the environment and so easy to do that kids on YouTube have repair videos for almost every part of these devices!

Awesome venue space. They are very organized and quick to get the show started. Staff is informative in what's going on before and during the event. Doesn't matter where you end up for a show, any spot is a good spot as long as you don't stand behind someone. *It's a plus if you have a Samsung phone, you get some VIP treatment for shows. I don't have one but they took great care of me.

Also if you fixed the phone before or your insurance company fixed , they will not fix it. The prices are a little high and they need to hire more people. THEY LOOK SHORT STAFFED! THEY ONLY FIX CERTAIN PHONE! NO TABLET NO EAR BUDS ! ONLY S7 EDGES AND ABOVE NOTE 5 AND ABOVE . I came here to get my phone fixed and it was all good but just be aware of these rules . It's not just a place to get your phone fixed. You're able to participate in events, watch concerts and use the technology in real settings outside of the building. There's a coffee shop on the 2nd floor, the staff are friendly and it's a great way to spend and kill time.

You can make a Custom Case for your phone and it's free! Plus they have snacks and drinks for exhausted shoppers. They offer tech support and lots of interactive stations to chose from. It's more fun then the Apple store.

Great showcase of Samsung technology. Open to the public and no admission fee. Virtual reality activities and a Maman coffee/bakery shop inside. Great way to kill an hour or two. They have a phone repair shop onsite. (Note: you can't buy anything here, it's just a showcase)

This place is really cool. It is all about virtual reality. You get to see and pay around the stuff like skying, space, roller coaster (great experience) art stuff where you have an option of capturing your picture and you get to draw. And the best part is it is No money it’s all free here. I and my friends spend almost 3 hours here! Worth going! The people are great and explain you stuff and they make sure that they are all comfortable.

I walked in with a clear problem....a swollen battery in my Galaxy phone that needed to be replaced. My phone is otherwise in near perfect condition (no scratches on the body; no cracked screen). After I unlocked my phone for the technician she fussed around with the screen and then told me that my screen was burnt and needed to be replaced in addition to the battery and Samsung would not do one without the other because its a warranty repair (although they were charging me over $250.00!) . My vision is pretty good and I didn't see a screen problem so I asked to just have the battery replaced and was told flatly "No!" with a half hearted "sorry." I've never seen a company that finds more ways to weasel out of doing repairs on the products. I'm now the proud owner of a phone on the verge of catching me on fire, a useless TV and a washing machine that has the potential of having the lid fly off all courtesy of Samsung!

Very high tech looking store. Customer Service is immaculate. There's a section for 3D adventures which include race car driving, skiing, snowmobiling while using their Samsung Virtual Reality Glasses. Best part is the Space adventures. You get taken to a private section, there you are fully equipped with headgear and a jumpsuit for your walking on the moon experience. You are placed in a harness which is holding you. Once you're ready for your experience you bounce around, as if you are weightless..gravity free, and walk/jump and even trip lol on the moon. All VR experiences are free.

I am currently using MetroPCS. Dinnae explained to me MetroPCS GSM network is coincide with Verizon Hardware. At least now because of Dinnae, it's not the smartphone! :) Thank you, Dinnae!!

It’s a cool looking place, but I did not have really good experience there. at some areas, the product is only for display, and I was told by the security staffs “ don’t touch it, only for display”. That’s so weird that you can’t touch the products in an experience store, which is against the experiencing purpose. In Apple store, any apple product can be operated by the customers, that should be the soul of an experience store. Many staffs there working as security crew other than Samsung sales or technic staff, who doesn’t know the product information at all. What I feel the place is that, It’s designed for future, but run by the out dated mind.

Some employees are knowledgeable (if you can track them down to ask your question) but most of the employees are just standing around doing nothing but gossiping with each other. Unfortunately, lots of the best equipment was either off or not working (or maybe the employees didn't want to bother) or there was no sample available. So strange. I am a Samsung girl and it was really too bad because I expected much more of a "Samsung tech experience" at the store and guidance about current and new products. The place has a lot of potential but in it's current state, is completely useless and a waste of time. They need to do A LOT better.

I went to get my phone repaired. I had a week left on my warranty. They said it was the board but they didnt have any. So they wrote it up so that I could still get it replaced within the warranty window. Inwas told they would contact me when the lart was delivered. That was 5 months ago. The staff was not attentive at all. The location and setup in the store is phenomenal. So much potential!

Samsung has various photo sessions or other experiences (virtual reality) that teaches you how to optimize the usage of their products. Samsung experts are cool and knowledgeable in their craft. I went to learn how to use the different camera options and came out feeling more comfortable when using their phones.

I had a Note 4 that was dying a slow death. It decided to expedite the process and died completely. The professionals here are able to resuscitate it long enough to grey all the information transferred to my new phone. No complaints at all. The cafe haff really good banana bread.

Great place. I was trying to decide if I should get the new S10 and they had several phones of each price point on display (S10e, S10, S10+) that you could test out. They also had the several different laptops that Samsung makes on display and to test. The staff was very knowledgeable about the products and what features each had. It's not a store so you don't feel that you are being pressured into buying the most expensive device. In fact they don't sell anything there it's just to showcase the products.

Great experience! All of Samsung's latest products on display to use and mess around with. 8k TVs, ultrawide monitors, and the latest and greatest phones. Knowledgeable staff around to answer any questions you may have and provide any recommendations. Interesting informational presentations and workshops put on every hour or so. Fast and on site repairs are available as well. Got my phone screen replaced in under two hours.

Absolutely ridiculous! Came here with appointment for simple battery drain for my note 8 with expectation to pay for battery replacement out of pocket due to being out of warranty. Was told that my Note 8 needed a complete screen replacement, despite ZERO scratches, cracks, or any water damage; unnoticeable tiny light bleed from bottom left corner of my screen that only "showed" on their diagnostic app, but is 100% unobservable during normal use. Nothing has happened to this phone (never dropped, always in protective case). Pretty sure this was an "issue" present from the first day I own the phone. I stated that the screen is in perfect condition and only needed battery replaced. Samsung "Care" rep worked really hard to upsell to full screen replacement (cant blame her for doing her job to upsell) and explained that it was both screen and battery repair or Samsung will refuse to do any repair work at all per company policy. Rep explained that if I call Samsung directly, I might be able to BEG for one time exception discount on screen replacement... for my 100% functional screen. I paid over $900 for this premium phone. I have been a loyal Samsung customer since the days of Galaxy S2. This experience has really shaken my faith in this brand. Will try to get battery replaced elsewhere instead of this rip off excuse for a Samsung store.

Visited on my trip in NY. There weren't any events going on during my time there, but the showroom wasn't anything special. Bestbuy has the same product demos. Staff was very knowledgable with any questions I had, but it turns out you can't buy anything here! It wasn't a bad experience by any means, but I see no reason to go back.

Worst showroom ever. They have things that you can't touch, workers yell at you if you do. Looks nice, but bad customer service. Only good thing is the free photos that they take of you. You cannot touch the VR headset, even though there are multiple ones available. You cannot touch the exercise bike. Other things you cannot touch as well. I have a Samsung device, but Apple store is much more hospitable. Basically, it has plenty of useless things that you can view from the comfort of your home.

I went to store for tech support. My carrier recommended I go and that I would be helped. The adhesive came off the back screen of the camera. The plastic that is missing the size of a fingernail. During the assessment, I was told the repair would be over $300. They wouldn't be able to fix the back camera screen without repairing the front and back. They told me I would have everything fixed. I am disappointed because I had the phone for less than a year and it is under warranty

Is a really cool store but weird in the sense of that they don’t sell some products you’d think they have every Samsung product since is a big store but went there! They have DJ they have really cool interior! Nice people but went to buy a VR headset and they just don’t sell it is really weird is like going to an apple store and they not selling AirPods! The worst customer service I’ve ever seen in my life just wanted my screen replaced. I know my charging dock is fine and no problem in it. The only reason I can’t blame the product now I fix my phone with ubreakifix they are authorized service center for Samsung and I suggest any problem with customer care in Samsung store go and try ubreakifix

I scheduled an appointment with Samsung Care at Samsung 837 to fix my phone's screen. The staff is very nice and resourceful, and I was able to have my phone fixed one hour later. I didn't get to enjoy the other things the place has to offer, but I'm pretty happy with the costumer service and professionalism. Will definitely come back to more!
