I went there today after approx 5 years and I was so proud of them to have their standards of fresh cold cuts and meat. Always a pleasure to go there and see that they keep their quality. Highly recommended!!!

Haven't been to a place like this in decades. My neighbor, god rest his soul, use to take me to a place like this when I was a child. It brought back great memories. Food that I haven't had since and I must say I bought a sample of half of everything there. I was not disappointed. They have a new customer in me.

Morschers Pork Store is the most incredible neighborhood place. The meat is always outstanding, the butchering expert, the staff incredibly friendly. You feel like you're stepping back into the forties. Get the double smoked skin on bacon (please don't ask them to cut the skin off) cook low and slow, and then eat bacon with a crackling edge. Don't forget to tip your butcher!

Truly deserves 5 stars. One of the only places in NYC that does. So many great home made specialty sausages and German and Eastern European charcuterie items. Must tries are the paprika head cheese. If you think you don't like head cheese, this will change your mind. The pimento and olive loaves and double smoked slab bacon are sublime. Try the TV sticks and hang them for 3 or 4 days before your eat all of them, they get better with age. The viennerwurst, bratwurst krainerwurst are New York treasures. Grab a bag of fresh house made sauerkraut and jar of Bauer's Brooklyn mustard and you are in BBQ heaven. Superb hand cut chicken pork and beef too. Needless to say Morscher's is destination shopping at it's finest. Go.

This store feels like you have stepped back in time. Old time service and old time quality. It reminds me of the butcher shop that was around our block when I was growing up. We travel from Yonkers to get our Easter ham and Brats. Their quality and service can't be beat, One year we came out in two foot of snow, that's how good it is!

Pro-tip: Go earlier in the day. Don't be afraid of the lines, they are worth it! Best to avoid going within the last hour of business since they are very hygienic and will often have cleaned up lots of the selections and display cases. That being said if you know what you want they will gladly accommodate, but I don't like wasting peoples' time. I wish I knew everybody's name who works here because they are all kind and when I'm patronizing and a regular walks in and is greeted my name it makes my heart feel warm. Top picks: Flour salami, Amish patty, pork chops and STEAK BURGERS!!!!
