i used to avoid fairway during it's main store hours because the lines were ridiculous. now they have 12 registers in the express lane and you're done in less than super fast. they also went back to 24/7 which totally make sense because the place always has workers

I shop at Fairway UES quite frequently only to find out you can get charged twice at certain occasions due to a “glitch” in their system and the store manager was NOT helpful or surprised that customers are getting charged TWICE!!! Please check your statements and transactions because it is something that happens a lot according to their employees. Very upsetting disappointed with this experience since I’ve been a customer for years and I regret not checking my statements before.

A huge grocery in West Side but so expensive! A lot of products but never the ones you want. The area dedicated to organic products is upstairs but it is small compared to the 1st floor. A lot of others stores propose better for less.

This store was great a few years ago when it had competition around, now that the competition has moved away or basically some supermarkets have closed they have become more comfortable in the sense of raising prices and treating the store like a dump. The floors are sometimes dirty, the late night staff are horrible, I don't come here after 7pm even if the store is emptier. The products are moved around like someone mentioned in the comments, there is no need for a small container of watermelon to cost more than 3$ I have seen them priced up to 10.00$ for a small little plastic tote of watermelon!! The hot bar is a rip off, you can literally put one thing on the plastic container and walk out of there paying a fortune. I give credit where is due and they definitely have a great selection of Items for sure.

The store has moved their inventory so I went in to see where my favorite products were located. I didn't make a purchase today because I was going out for the day. Didn't want to carry heavy items with during my day out.

Love it but it takes awhile to know the ropes here. There are cranky people ready to mow you down if you don't follow the rules. But do try the restaurant upstairs!

It is an amazing supermarket with a large selection of produce and products. Well stocked, fantastic location, and excellent customer service. It is one of my favorite supermarkets. Love the pastries and not to mention the prepared food-it tastes delicious. I simply love to shop groceries and so much more in this place

I do all my shopping here. Layout is a little confusing at first and lines are usually long. However the prices aren't bad and they end up having everything I need for recipes

Great place unless it's the week of or before any major holiday or sporting event. On those occasions, wear extra thick skin and try to stay zen through the large crowd, tight space and wound-up (usually 30-something or maturer-aged) entitled types who demand to speak to someone in charge because they're not happy about anything. Oh, and you'll probably get elbowed or cursed out by vibrant old curmudgeons.

A West Side institution forever. Fairway has an enormous assortment of fruits vegetables and other foods. this was my first time in there and quite some time and I was going for limited shopping but the assortment was quite impressive. I can't really judge the prices because I haven't been shopping in Manhattan in decades. This used to be there only store but they've opened others up

Fairway's ok, except when it's crowded, which is most of the time. Then you need a lot of patience and a pitch helmet. Prices have been on the increase there as well, so do your comparison shopping.

Called this morning the 646 tel. # listed on google as I was looking for some type of cheese. Got connected to an operator who in turn connected me with the tel. of the store on 74th street. Dialed 0 for operator assistance to the cheese department and was told I could not leave any message at that time. Bottom line : For something as simple as a question I waisted 20 minutes and still did not get the answer to my question.

The only saving grace of this Fairway location is the variety of products. - The layout of the store is awful and forces NYC gridlock traffic. - The staff specifically at checkout at this location are consistently some of the rudest individuals, matching my greeting with no answer or eye-rolls. Trader Joe's is WAY cheaper, more friendly, and the line goes way faster.
